The toilet made a hissing noise due to the plumbing. The bathroom tub stopper did not stay up and I was told to use a rag to prop it open. The water had a slight discoloration to it when I ran a bath for my child. I was also assigned to a occupied room.
The rooms were spacious and the entire place was clean.
When checking in the front desk representative seem to be bothered by us being there. They need to update their web page to show they close the INDOOR pool for the winter because they do not heat it. Was very disappointed when we found this out.
Pool was not kept well, breakfast was continental with nasty spuds, cold sausage, biscuits we it nasty gravy, eggs available a whole 2 days a week per front desk, Tues and Thurs. Basically breakfast was not included if you had taste buds.
It was 103* in Texas with a heat advisory and the air didn't work in room which front desk knew. Toilet wouldn't flush, carpet dirty. Front desk lady was wearing pajamas, very unprofessional.
The beds were very comfy especially when we arrived late on the night we stayed.
The front desk staff.. Named Stephanie was more interested in the gentleman who were standing around her desk than the ants that were eating all the cereal and she even questioned me when I asked did they have any water in the breakfast area, WHY?
DO NOT STAY HERE!! I have stayed at this Confort Suites several times over the past year. Each time the breakfast has been worse than the last. The eggs were not edible and the bacon was super greesy. So, forget it unless you like waffels (and know how to cook them without their sticking to the waffle iron. The first morning I woke up at 7AM (in spite of getting my wake-up call at 5:30am instead of 7:00am) and imagine my suprise to find that there was no water! You know what that means...couldn't even flush the toilet. My wife and I flipped a coint to see who got the only remaining flush (I let her go of course!). I ask the front desk when the water would be back on and was told it would be off for several hours. Well, I guess the kinfolks are going to smell me instead of the Thanksgiving Turkey. The desk assured me he would find out when it would be back on and call me back. He never did... A previous guest left a sewing needle stuck in the lamp shade. We were there for two nights and the cleaning people never removed it. I imagine it is still there. Ask for room 207 if you need to sew a button...otherwise, be sure to secure the needle if you have children...a real health and safety issue.
Despite booking 8 days in advance, our family's 2 rooms were on separate floors. Room 114 had dead crickets under the lavatory, and the coffee pot didn't work. Exterior doors to stairwell and indoor were always ajar. No pool towels in indoor pool area; swimmers in swimsuits had to walk to front desk, where they received pool towels the size of face towels. Ice machine near lobby not working, and bore a sign directing guests to front desk. The clerk ushered me into the pantry behind the breakfast area. I was given a partial bag of ice and used my bare hands to fill my ice bucket. Spa in pool area was not only broken, but had some water in the bottom in which dead crickets were floating.
