perfect relaxed weekend, a must
beautiful spacious room, very relaxing
good location although a bit difficult to find, nice clean comfortable room, excellent spa facilities, friendly staff, nice location within walk of the beach. food very expensive and little choice
restaurant, bedroom and associated facilities monotonous 'piped' music in restaurant/bar/lounge
My wife could not get into the bath. She has a very bad Knee and the bath was to big to get into. A walki in shower would be best.
The spa facilities were fabulous, one of the best ive experienced. Also the self catering apartments were very modern and in the most part very functional The hotel is advertised as a family option, but i would definitly challenge this. The apartments did not have a high chair and when we requested one the hotel did not have any. We had problems with our t.v. from the first night, and as we were travelling with young children a television that works was a must. This was reported repeatedly and one staff member was rude enough to tell us there was no problem. This was not addresssed throughout our stay. The hotel does not have anything to offer a family apart from nice surroundings. Althought there is a good playground on the grounds it does appear to be part of a housing estate.
The hotel was wonderful. The staff very pleasant, the bed so comfortable I did not want to leave it! The swimming pool and spa perfect. The heated pool was heaven. The Irish breakfast magnificent! would definitely visit again Perhaps more lighting in the corridors!
The fantastic accommodation and the Spa. It was excellent and the staff were very nice.
Lovely hotel, great spa facilities, beautiful grounds. Don't eat there!!!!!! Food was enormously expensive and nothing special. Breakfast was horrible. Drinks were too expensive.
The hospitality at reception, the lovely atmosphere in the Bar and hotel itself, the beautiful food and the facilities. The fact that that when we went up to bed at 12 midnight the room was freezing cold as the heating was off and the same throughout the night and in the morning which made it unpleasant.
noise on the bar, however there were a number of pre-christmas parties so I suppose some noise could be expected - but not at 5.00am
There was nothing that I did not like.
The receptionist greeted my wife and I by saying 'welcome here again'! She remembered us from our last one night stay in April. Very impressive!
Everyone was so helpful, our room was really lovely cant wait to return, without the snow!
We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the very good service and the very courteous staff. There was inadequate space for clothes in the bedroom and the bathroom did not have enough space around the wash handbasin to accomodate the toiletries.
i use this hotel as it is ideally situated to catch the early ferry to fishguard good service and fod
The staff were exellent, the food was good
Friendliness of Staff need a Taxi to get into town
Great food, friendly staff, great facilities (lovely spa and swimming pool) Very dirty cups in the bedroom
Comfort after a days work, relaxed manner.
No Faults with the hotel spot on
Meal in the restaurant very good and good VFM. Room clean and tidy with all the facilities required except tv (see next box) For a 4 star hotel I would have expected better service on the TV ie Sky Sports etc with movie channels.Room on arrival very cold A/C off, had to turn on.Wanted breakfast in bed ,tried to book at reception , told to use card on door of room. No card on door.
Staff were fantastic, room was beautiful. Food delicious. Fast service & great entertainment
Very friendly and welcoming staff
Second room was much better with a sea view - parking convenient. As we booked in January 2007, I think they could have allocated a better room to us in the first place so we did not have to complain and change rooms. Hotel a bit dull.
The service was outstanding. rooms on the 4th floor. Dingy, smelly.... changed to a room on the 1st floor which was lovely
The relaxed atmosphere. The convienience to the town centre. Ease of access from main through routes. Having to leave and go home!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were excellent. When we arrived for check in at 3.30 our room was still not ready and we still had to leave the room at 11.00 the next morning.
within walking distance of town center - very friendly and competent staff at the reception - ample parking
The location was good and the staff was really friendly. We even made a friend that gave us a ride to go and get our rental car and picked us up when we dropped our car off. I thought a B&B meant bed and breakfast. Breakfast was additional 20 each. So we did not have breakfast. The room was on the first floor. The lobby and hall is tile so it was very noisy.
Friendly staff, nice breakfast and good price for single room. Room had two single beds when really it is just big enough for one bed.
Very clean and spacious room. We stayed at the separate cottage.Breakfast was very tasty and generous.
Fantastic breakfast . Helpful owner Uncomfortable pillows. Teenagers drinking on street outside until 4.30am
Proprietor arranged for an early breakfast for us to allow early departure, choice of breakfast was excellent. Very friendly staff/owners.
The friendliness of the staff & the wonderful breakfast.
I was able to get early breakfast
The owners were wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable and accommodating. The traditional Irish breakfast was best we had. Common space was comfortable, my family enjoyed playing the board games available. Close to beaches. Room a little small, not too much storage
the bed was very confortabale, very impressive foyer and bar. did not get to use the spa. breakfast was appalling, the kind of breakfast you would expect to find in a cheap run down cafe in a side street. on offer was canned fruit, pre made pastries, deep fried suages and greasy eggs. this was after having the pleasure to queue. .. wet room shower, will never use one again. room was was very small, felt like a college room. staff need a face a lift.
Nice modern hotel with good facilities. Staff were very slow at breakfast time. we had to wait close to 15 minutes for apot of tea and toast and had to ask at least twice for it. I complained to the GM, who apologised and things were rectified promptly.
Staff were exceptional, seemed to genuinely care about their guests. There are no real rooms with great views due to the surroundings of the hotel. However it makes up for that in many ways, fantastic facilities, best location right in town centre, very good service...
Parking,Facilities,Bar,Rooms, Location, Design, Cleanliness, Food,
I thought the hotel was fine, i didnt think it meet it standards as a 4* would stay there again but wouldnt rush back??
Very disappointing stay. Room was not nice and although I requested a quiet room was given an extremely noisey room. Got no sleep at all....loud shout and talking till 6 am. Would not stay at this hotel again
We had very nice experience. No complaints everything was a high standard. Will go again.
Value for money
We stayed at Whites to attend the 59th Wexford Opera Festival. The hotel is excellent and the staff friendly and efficient. This is a terrific adjunct to the world famous and highly rated opera festival. It must be remembered that the rates go up considerably during the festival which is a pity!
I like the location and the design of the rooms. Also i like the fact it had music both nights. I did not like the way the lifts worked. Also the room we were allocated was so far away from the lift.
We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary and it ticked all the boxes for us when there. Very enjoyable experience. Great food, quality, service, excellent entertainment at night, management in evidence but not intrusive, played golf at Rosslare GC on a beautiful fine day - only negative was that my wife won the money! No
The Staff were very accommodating
The beach nearby and the swimming pool, turkish steam bath, sauna and hot tub With the room service at night time there should be more than two options on the menu.
It is the most fabulous location, so close to the beach.
Mary is a terrific ambassador in reception, she deserves a gold medal. Mr kelly also gave us a warm welcome which was very pleasant. Toilet seat needed repair
The staff was the best for kindless and help, the place was amazing (on a beutiful beach), there are so many activities to do (Golf, tennis, pool and spa). My advise is to pay 15€ per person for stay in the spa, absoulutely the best of romanticism, you could be alone with your partner. See the website. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Maybe too expensive, an hotel only for rich Irish people. Rosslare is really small, so you could enjoy your staying in the hotel, really big, or get a taxi (20/25 minutes) to wexford. If you arruve on train you need to send an e-mail and tell the hotel staff the time you suppose to arrive, so they can give you a lift to the Resort.
we found the hotel comfortable and very friendly. we did not eat in the restaurant but had a snack with room service which was fine.
Fantastic location on the beach, great facilities especially for couples and families with older children. Fantastic food. Very attentive pleasant staff. Not really suitable for single mum and 6 year old due to restrictions on children in dining room for evening dinner. But we will return when she's older!
The pool was lovely The mea was very rushed it was very clear that the food was all pre prepared and just served to you the minute you finished ordering, then the minute you finished your starter out came the main course, our waitress was very cold and took me to the desert course to get her to smile!!!
The Spa,food and friendliness of Staff-also proximity to sea
excellent menu for evening meal and very tasty well cooked irish breakfast. lovely smoking area recently added.staff very helpful. probably a bit on the dear side for a room for the night but we would certainly go back for the warm welcome
restaurant was excellent both food and surroundings
Friendly staff The food was only ok but is very expensive. The walls are very thin. Found Mould in the bathroom. There is a loud and busy main road outside.
The personal service: the quality of cuisine was excellent world class: made so welcome: so relaxing. would go back tomorrow.
Nice place for a relaxing weekend. Easy enough to travel to any part of Wexford. Peaceful and tranquil setting. Did not like the smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby
Friendliness of host Price of set menu was high
I liked everything about the hotel and its amenities.
The host very friendly and helpful. Good room. Loved the hotel bar - beautiful decor & ambience. The restaurant meal was good but quite pricey for what it was (service was very good though). I'd be tempted to try the bar menu instead.
Nothing The smell of damp, the poor service, the hotels 70's decor, the appalling food. The exorbitant charge for the appalling food. The tiny breakfast. the cold food. The damp hotel, (my shoes were wet when I got up in the mornng). The bad atmosphere (everyone felt they could ony whisper). I would never ever go there again. Overpriced and appalling. get it off your web site.
Lovely relaxing atmosphere, excellent food, beautiful setting and luxurious rooms. Enough said!
it was fabulous and wonderful, you could not fault it, 100 0ut of 100 marks for everything, the food, the staff, the location, the house and grounds, just one small let down, we would have loved to have met the owner, kevin dundon and got a photo.
We enjoyed the great style of the hotel. It is unique in combining quiet, understated luxury in relaxed, friendly surroundings with exceptional, well trained staff. A perfect 'get away from it all', destination where a warm, relaxed and very comforting ambiance provide a complete and welcome distraction from the noise and demands of everyday life.
The extremely helpful evening "man in charge" on the night of 5/11/10. The Thai server on the morning of 6/11/10. Personable and friendly. At departure, the elevator stuck between floors 1-2. The alarm finally attracted help. Other than a "We're sorry," there was no effort to provide another nights lodging, pay for taxi to town, or reimburse us.
The hotel was extremely busy and perhaps a little overcrowded
The leisure centre was good.the bedroom was spacious and the bed comfortable,The hotel was basic and clean. There were a lot of children staying in hotel on the night we stayed and I am sure that it was great for parents to keep them up very late . There was no way we would have dinner there and had to go elsewhere for a drink that night. It was the end of the halloween break
proximity to Rosslare no early breakfast arrangements
Staff were very nice ... clean spacious rooms...taxi service could ring anytime abit away from the town but taxi's on call
Good helpful staff. Location to town and county. Entertainment on bot nights we stayed En-Suite bathroom needs refurbishment
The staff were very friendly. The price was great for the quality of service ie rooms were very clean and up to our expectations. The leisure centre is great, good size gym, pool, sauna steam room jacuzzi and changing room facilities has under floor heating. Loved the food really nice and reasonable price breakfast lunch and dinner. Very accomadting for families we'd a 6yr old with us. Would definitely return to this hotel. When travelling we didn't realise it's situated on other side of new ross almost near wexford town. So our journey there took about an hour longer than return journey. Foolow signs for wexford town fron enniscorthy and not the New Ross signs. The matress in our bed needed replacing but still slept fine.
friendly staff the leisure centre is lovely 2 particular members of staff shone they were the 2 night reception guys really helpful and friendly although we didnt book an inclusive package we did eat in hotel and food and service was brill will definately come back and will recommend to my friends.
Friendly Staff, Hotel Excellent
Hotel very accessable to many interesting areas I think there should be a curfew on children at night-time. They were allowed to run around until after mid-night making it very hard to relax and listen to the music provided.
The people were very welcoming and helpful. It was a real joy to stay in a clean, well run establishment. I would recommend the Rockville to anyone.
Everything was absolutely fine; I couldn't fault the accommodation and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They were the thing that made the stay really enjoyable. They are lovely people and excellent hosts. No. It would have been a bit easier for me, with no car, if it had been closer to town, that's all. But there were plenty of taxis.it would be perfect if you had your car with you.
Very pleasant, very good breakfast, excellent surroundings
Was clean, with sufficient space, polite & friendly host. Further away from town centre than we expected. Breakfast was reheated in microwave.
Very friendly people running the b and b A reasonable walk into town.
Peace @ quite of location
The owner was very accommodating when we needed an early breakfast to catch the early morning ferry.
Peace and quite
The proprietors were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was excellent and generous. The setting was good. I would stay there again. There was some (slight) road noise as the guest house is close to a main road.
Morris greeted us heartily and was informative about local restaurants etc. Bedroom very comfortable and clean, breakfast was excellent. Location ideal for early morning ferry.
