Situated on high ground in a beautiful rural location Top Parts Bed and Breakfast is just a mile and a half from Dorset's Jurassic Coast and less than a mile from the Dorset's South West Coast Path. From the B&B location there are stunning views across the Dorset countryside. The accommodation is arranged in a delightful period stable building within a courtyard with a seating area outside during the summer months. We have two rooms, both en-suite that can be arranged as either doubles or twins. (By request we can put an additional bed in one of the rooms to accommodate an extra guest) Between the two rooms is the breakfast/evening room with facilities for making hot drinks etc and a small library with maps, books and guides relating to the area. Top Parts Bed and Breakfast has been popular in the past with a wide variety of guests pursuing many different interests in the locality, from visiting historic monuments, houses and gardens to walking, sailing and fossil hunting and a host of further activities. Guests have often commented on how comfortable the beds are and the breakfasts, with the menu changing on a daily basis, have proved a huge success over the years. We want your stay at Top Parts B&B to be an enjoyable and memorable experience and are happy to respond to any queries you may have prior to making a reservation. During your stay we can also offer considerable local knowledge on places to visit and things to do as well as suggestions for restaurants and country pubs in the area.
Pros: Very pleasant and congenial host, excellent breakfast. The beautiful rural scenery in the area.
Cons: Place extremely difficult to find (we went around for an hour before a kind neighbour led us to it), the GPS misses it, the host’s cell phone does not respond because of insuficient connection. Some signaling ar the approaching roads would habe been helpful. Be warned: no Wi Fi, no telephone, no TV, no radio. Some Suggestion: carry a torch or a cell phone with light; when you return late at night it is pitch black, you cannot see your hands, let alone the entrance door and the lock. Be prepared to do the room yourself if you stay more than one night, there is no maid service. It is truly a rural setting, the entrance lane, a farm track more than one Km long, is very narrow and there are no passing bays. Pray that you don’t encounter oncoming traffic!
Pros: The personal touch from the host. Location was amazing.
Cons: Could have had a small sofa seat in the room.
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, and the rooms very comfortable. Location in a lovely area. Great hosts and excellent hospitality.
Cons: Could not find any thing to fault.
Pros: Wonderful breakfast cooked by the host. Lots if information from the host about places to visit and eat.
Cons: Nothing an excellent spot if you like peace, country walks and dark skies.
Pros: Great breakfast and lovely hosts.
Pros: Everything about our stay was "Excellent".
Cons: We thought the whole stay was excellent.
Pros: Whether you are looking for a unique travel experience or an immersion in nature, this place is the perfect gift you can offer yourself for a healthy holiday. Make sure you watch the sky at night, take a deep breath of the purest air or admire the morning unique show the nature has to offer. The place is quiet, extremely clean and harmoniously decorated, a once in a lifetime place to be, to sleep (or, should I say, actually rest) and to enjoy a conversation for the heart with the host, Mr Jasper. We sure hope to return soon…
Pros: the welcome and service is excellent, the was different, very good and ample everyday. the room has everything required, the only thing missing is a TV but I found life better without one and the stillness and quiet of the location is so relaxing'
Cons: there could have been a sheet or something light to cover the bed at night as the duvet is hot on warm summer nights, that is the only fault I can find.
