After the success of his first restaurant Ako in Williamsburg, Executive Chef/ Owner Nick Wang, formerly of Midtown’s renowned sushi staple Hatsuhana, opened up a second concept Amami overlooking Greenpoint’s McCarren Park in 2016. Amami’s mission is to serve the highest quality sushi and sashimi, prepared with centuries-old techniques. The menu features izakaya-style small bites, like yakitori and kaarage, as well as traditional ramen. The sleek cocktail bar boasts a wide range of sakes, rotating local beers, and expertly-crafted seasonal cocktails.
