The inn was very quaint and the hot breakfast in the morning was wonderful. Also, the close proximity to downtown was excellent - a quick Uber ride! We had been bumped from a nearby inn but were not notified until we arrived.
We loved the cozy and intimate setting of this Bed and Breakfast. It was our first experience with a B&B, so we weren't sure what to expect. LGI was a lovely introduction. Cathy, the Innkeeper, was very nice -- and an excellent cook! It would be wonderful if there were healthy snacks and bottled water available in the Butler's Pantry. Also, it would be great if the room had a mini-fridge for leftovers. My partner also wished that breakfast on the weekend ran a little later than 9:30.
What a cool Bed & Breakfast, if you like historic architecture, antiques, and an uncommon place to stay this is the place to stay. Wonderful staff! Fabulous breakfast! We will definitely stay there again. Everything was great!
Prime location in Indy, historic home, very spacious room at a great price (parking, internet, breakfast included)! Inn keeper Kathy was super friendly and made a killer spinach mushroom quiche on Sat. and apple cinnamon french toast on Sun. for breakfast.
Nice well kept Bed and Breakfast. Morning Breakfast was very good!
Charm, clean, easy to check in and out. Privacy was a little less than ideal. Meaning you could hear people in the common space and the people on each side of you. Goes with the charm of an older home and B&B, but just an observation.
The innkeeper, Kathy, was very friendly and helpful. Complimentary snacks and sodas were available and the hot breakfast was also delicious. We stayed in the willow room and loved the inviting atmosphere. Had a wonderful stay and will do it again soon.
It was in a good location and the house was very charming. The bed and towels in the Portrait Room certainly need to be replaced. The mattress and pillows felt old and uncomfortable. If those two aspects were changed, I would have virtually nothing negative to say about my stay!
The charm The shower was 'wimpy' and the mattress was not that comfortable. I was hoping for a nicer breakfast, not just a continental.
Great hotel, wonderful staff, nice location Some of the appliances are antiquated
The room and house itself are delightfully cute. Breakfast was nice and light. It's strange that none of the proprietors live at Stone Soup Inn to handle emergencies/requests throughout the night. They could also advertise 'check-in by appointment' earlier in their emails (instead of burying it after cancellation and special dates).
The room was nice. The staff was not friendly. The man who checked us in was rude when explaining how to open the door. He said that he couldn't wait for the next guest to get there so he could have a beer. Don't think I will be staying there again.
Great staff. Nice breakfast. Comfortable bed. nicely stocked 'Butler's Pantry'. Needs a blanket on the bed besides the bed spread
nice friendly staff We were stuck in a basement room and had to share a bathroom. The shared bathroom was not disclosed in advance. It was a very nasty surprise. And the bathroom was poorly lit. I would not stay in that room with that arrangement ever again.
It was a great. Room Breakfast was kinda week. Frig needs to be updated. No ice
This is a charming alternative to the suite hotels. I was very happy there. I took a less expensive room on the lower level that was a shared bath, but as an European hostel fan, this was no problem (and it turned out I did not have to share with anyone).
The Villa was worth coming to Indy for. We were very surprised at how comfortable we felt. The rooms were very clean and didn't 'smell' like normal hotel rooms. Location was very close to downtown Indy.
The room was spacious with a full kitchen, dining area and a deck. Bed was comfortable. Couch was a nice amenity. Breakfast was am amazing. Front desk staff was cordial and knowledgeable. A cool looking place. I would recommend it to friends, even locals. If I bring my wife, I'll ask for a room with a private bath. Carpet in the room could use some updating.
I loved everything about it. I felt like I was is Paris. It was Beautiful and everyone was very friendly. I want to go there with my husband for anniversary and just a night alone together.
The price of the room really vary the qualities a lot. Stanza 1~4 have a much boost than other type of rooms.

the stay at villi inn was great, the staff was very friendly. i would go back. the restaurant was 4 star, the food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and courteous.
Old vintage look on the outside. Modern feel on the inside. Free parking. Friendly staff. Thin walls between rooms. Could hear our neighbors next door. Continental free breakfast not very impressive.
Buffet style breakfast. Complimentary snacks including some homemade & refreshments always available. Rooms are too cluttered with nick-knacks. Basic areas are clean but not very clean overall - dusty, stained throw rugs, older worn curtains. Building in need of maintenance both inside & outside.
I loved the Inn. I would recommend calling a few days in advance to go over the check-in procedures. I stayed in Room 6 and it was very nice! Brunch at Henry's was also terrific.
We stayed just to get away & to celebrate my fiancées birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the Inn. It was only a short walk to Mass Ave where there are numerous choices to eat and enjoy a frosty adult beverage, which was our plan to celebrate the day!
