everything! The welcome by the reception staff, the cleanliness of the hotel and room, the ambiance, the breakfast service and the "black" head waiter who was very pleasant and graceful in looking after us. The restaurant prices. 5 euros for tap water served from a bottle. Martini served straight in a regular glass rather than in a martini glass.
Very good hotel for the price no
It was very clean, great localization, in the center but no notice when you sleep! Loved it Liked it all
The location was great and next to the centeral turistic spots. The staff was kind and allowed us to late check-out Excellent breakfast buffet. The room was cleaned everyday, and was fully equipped. WI-FI signal was poor and the room. There is no tea/coffee making facilities or bottled water in the room. I don't have antyhing else to say.
The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast room was an absolute horror, with hundreds of tourists fighting for food and a table. The facility is a disgrace to an otherwise decent hotel. The water in the shower was too cold and the pressure too low.
The AC worked great. Our non smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke.
Excellent location, great price, good breakfast(included) The staff that received us wasn't so helpful and had a bad attitude
--the efficient check-in --the very large (by European standard) of the room --the absolutely excellent buffet breakfast included in the room price
Good location; nice staff; Spacious lobby and bar gives relaxed athmosphere and room to relax. Rooms basic but clean
Great position: very close to the city center, to the main attraction and to public transportations
The staff were nice. The hotel is in a very seedy, unsafe area. The room was cramped and even though it was a non-smoking room, it smelled like cigarette smoke.
Close to touristy areas It might be a 2 star hotel but that doesn't mean you skimp on cleanliness. It was also SO loud, even at 2am. When we called to complain about a domestic dispute in the room next to ours (throwing furniture and screaming) they said they'D get to it when they can. Didn't happen.
Location is good. staff are excellent and very nice. Nothing
The bed was not very comfortable which is dissapointing from a hotel of this standard
I thought the breakfast was nice, and the beds were comfortable. I had to ask to switch my room twice as I found the rooms depressing and not light or big enough. The room temperature was very cold and I had to ask for a space heater. I found some concierges helpful; others not. The food in their restaurant was not good and I had an issue with something I ordered. I also wished they had made laundry service available. The lobby is very cold and shuts down early, and there is no where to have a drink, read and relax. The bathroom smelled very funny, and I could not get them to fix this. I also received no offer of help with my luggage when I called down to say I was checking out. Overall, this hotel needs updating and to be much more cozy, light and guest friendly. There is a lot they could do to improve.
Staff was very helpful and professional. My experience was exceptional. Everything met expectations.
The location close to Grande Place is excellent. Old fashioned bathroom, with even a little bit of moisture in the corners.
Excellent overall, nice furnishings, perfect location. Wifi was spotty - signal was fine in the bathroom, but not on the bed. Absolutely nothing else to complain about, though.
Excellent location just around corner from The Grand Place Reception staff somewhat unhelpful but the concierge and staff very helpful and informative.
staff was very nice, location was perfect, room service breakfast was great
Great location, nice rooms and we thought the price was really reasonable.
Location and standards
Hotel is very well located in the city center - ideal for tourists. Just couple of things spoiled whole Brussels experience: 1 - Discovered there were no towels in bathroom right after taking a shower, 2 - Late evening food from room service was foxy - a complete shame for a 4 star hotel.
Every thing great, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast
The service ,unbelievable good
a lovely art deco hotel with good facilities, free and extensive breakfast buffet included. Free mineral water in bar a nice touch. apart from a small bathroom so toilet right next to bath (which was ok) the breakfast buffet hot trays were at best lukewarm
The hotel was very central and had an impressive reception area. We had to change rooms three times . The standard of accomodation was extremely disappointing for such a renowned hotel. The rooms were cold and very noisy from the street below. The room we eventually ended up in smelled of stale cigarette smoke. We did not have the energy to ask to be moved again. We would never consider staying there again.
Lovely decor and atmosphere The pillows were not very good - I woke up with a neckache!
The Cafe Old and tired hotel.
The cafe outside, Breakfast was not up to the standard of the hotel. Actually very bad. Rooms on the backside not very interesting
Spacious room w comfortable bed
Perfect location. Nice staff. Goood breakfast. Big rooms. Nothing
Location is good. It is an older hotel, but that also makes it unique.
It was a beautiful hotel, well located and the rate on booking.com was very good. Room did not have a view ( looked onto a brick wall, which made the room very dark. Not a major issue.
Location Tried to charge me 30% more than the booking price. Long waits checking in and out. Staff overall very unfriendly with some exceptions.
Perfect location :)
nicely situated and nicely decoarated hotel. very decent. I recommend
Very nice playced.
Le Plaza is a dream hotel. Best ever. Location, staff, room everything great. Breakfast was a bit expensive
It was in the middle of the city and shopping malls I was told it is 5 star but it was only 4 star !!
Everything worked great. Personnel was very helpful. Cleaning was exceptional. Good location. Room interior was old and worn.
Very pleasant stay, comfortable well appointed hotel. Good location. Excellent value.
The room was fantastic and the staff very helpfull
The staff, in particular Nancy, were absolutely fantastic and made for a very pleasant stay. The Hotel and location were stunning. Great stuff altogether.
The location of the hotel was great to get to other areas. The packing of the hotel has low capacity in the parking garage and the hotel parking lot has no security my car got broken Into and all the items in my trunk and inside me vehicle were stolen.
nice, large room and common areas were very attractive high cost of internet service-this is free in many hotels
The wifi in the hotel wouldn't connect with my phone. The hotel is located in a very fashionable district, but with limited dining options. Most importantly the hotel DOES NOT provide airport transport, this was the main reason I booked with them. Any hotel can call a taxi to take you to the airport (at your own cost) that should not qualify as airport transport.
Location not free internet
location is great! we had problem with room service. couple of days before arriving we ordered, prepayed a small birthday cake for 60euro wich they could not take to the room from the kitchen in 45 minutes after asking for it, so we could not wait for it. They explained that they were to busy.
Fabulous service from the Concierge, ALL staff v courteous, helpful and the best service I have had in a hotel for a very long time! The room maid even put a bookmark in my book!
Staff friendly and efficient, concierge particularly
Very central, easy to walk anywhere in city center, very good hotel facilities and friendly hotel staff. Because of the very central position of the hotel, street noise goes around the clock day and night, which is a problem for the rooms looking at the streets. The bar served moistened nuts and the reply was "this is what we have".
A bit overpriced, the breakfast good but to expensive. The best is the location !
helpful staff, center of the city for the price i paid, wroth it!
we liked the quality and luxury, and the staff's friendliness as well as the italian restaurant few things minor like no iron board and was a bit pricy and minited room service options
Quick check-in, discreet personnel
Location is fantastic; staff is wonderful. It's a very nice hotel.
Front desk staff was wonderful -- rooms were comfortable. Horrible service in restaurant ( being a single female travel likely contributed to this); room was very poorly insulated re:noise. Heard everything all night.
The very helpful staff, the cleanliness, the size of our room, and the general ambience of the hotel I think that the breakfast was too expensive for a cold meal. Also there was no variety we spent 10 days with the same choice of 2 different cheeses and 3 cold meats. Also we had to pay for the coffee taken in our room.
Everything - the room was fine, staff were all very helpful, friendly and courteous, the breakfast was excellent. The only minor fault was that there was no alarm clock provided in the room, although this was listed in the hotel's information details for the room.
Kindness of the staff, the size of the room and the bathroom - very modern and enjoyable. The minibar is cheaper comparing to other 5star hotel The standard breakfast is poor - It costs 25 euros and you only get miniature croissants and bread plus the hot chocolate was only made up of water
You don't even get the second foot in the door before you're greeted by friendly and welcoming staff waiting to attend to your every need. The breakfast (if you choose to have it included) is a fresh, healthy and great quality variety also with impeccable service and choices. The rooms are adequately sized and the beds and pillows are quite plush. There are slippers and robes for your added comfort and the tea selection in the room is great. The bathrooms are fully equipped and have a very modern and Chiq decor. Room service was a bit costly (as it is with most hotels) but this was because while the quality of the food was great and fresh, I really didn't enjoy the flavor. It is conveniently located between the trams and close to the Brussels midi station. Also, on Rue Louise there are all the major high end brands for clothing, jewelry, shoes and perfume, there are chocolatiers and other typically European magazines. Once you head out the revolving doors of Rue du Châtelain, and turn right, you will see that there are many cafés, bars, bistros, and magazines (shops) along the way. The cuisine is mainly, Italian, French and English, and there are Asian restaurants and a conveniently located liquor store to get your Belgian beer. There's also a food store further down. In the opposite direction, about a 30 min stroll away, there is the European Parliament, and the Grande Place that hosts many of the museums, a must see is the Music Museum, and a must have is the Belgian chips/fries and waffles. Hopefully this helps! The dinner I ordered in room service was not a good taste for me.
The spacious comfort of the room, with its separate toilet from the bathroom. It was difficult to make the coffee maker work as I didn't know about the on/off switch at the back of the machine. It would be helpful if that information could be added to the instruction booklet.
Booked it for guests, which seemed very pleased with the quality of the hotel compared to 4-star hotels which we usually rent for them. The only marginally negative thing is not to underestimate it's closeness to Louisa/Louize. It's about 20 minutes walking which isn't pleasant during rainy days and the tramline on the street is incredibly hectic.
Space of the room plus bathroom facility, free internet connection by reception desk, helpful staff plus the facts that they remembered my previous stay and ensured same quality of room was provided to me
The staff and the type of room. In spite of my request there was no glutenfree breakfast
Excellent staff, nicely presented, food excellent
beds were comfortable, staff weer helpful and food was good the airconditioning did not work on any of the 7 days we were at the hotel, it was stifflingly hot, bathroom wasn't ventilated, we asked 3 times if anything could be done
Its convenience to the city centre and nearby shopping streets as well proximity of transportation. They do not have a lobby its more of a waiting area
Staff was not helpful, beds were old and not comfortable at all (had two rooms to try since the first one had brown water in the bathroom since it wasn't used for a long time).
The interior decoration is very pleasant, rooms are quiet.
Hotel facilities detail has incorrect information. According to detail when I book room, Wifi is available with additional fee (6.95 per day). However not only wifi, internet connection (LAN) was need additional fee. If I've known LAN connection was not including room charge, I was not book this hotel. This is totally incorrect information. Hotel must disclose not just wifi, even LAN connection require additional cost. If this was on hotel detail, I NEVER HAVE BOOKED THIS HOTEL.
very clean room bit costy
One can count on the quality of the staff.
Close to EU Commission offices pillows too soft
Very fast and efficient check-in and check-out, room small but comfortable and well-equipped. Minor point : coffee-making facilities would be useful
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of three nights at the Stanhope. It was a convenient location for walking Brussels, and enhanced time there. The staff was great and accomodating of our needs. We loved our room which was spacious and nicely appointed. The only semi-negative thing I can say, is that the bed was quite soft, which was not good for someone with a bad back like me. Also, we asked to have some food heated up, and they said that they would send someone to take care of this for us. They forgot, and we had to call a second time.
The 'romantic package' secured us a very good room for two nights in a first class hotel for a good price. Breakfast was poorly organised and choice was very limited. The garden is lovely though.
the hotel room design is great,it provides a fantastic atmosphere of luxury
Atmosphere was perfect. Nothing.
location for EU is excellent. local staff hopeless. valu for money the poorest. 10 min to get to your room if you stay in the backwing of the building
Very nice, modern hotel, which is located right next to the European Commision and a metro stop. Several good bars and restaurants close enough to stagger back, but far enough away that they don't disturb you. Very clean room, and friendly English-speaking staff.
Very pleasant and modern hotel in the heart of Eurocracy land, with some good eating and drinking places in close proximity. Metro is very close and easy to use. Beakfast is very good. Staff very accommodating.
I like your staff how they treat the guest, very accomodating and respectful. Keep it up!
Standard high, and quality excellent, the cost due to the promotion was fantastic and I would recommend this hotel to anyone Had booked dinner, and we had to wait to be seated, price of meal in the hotel slighlty more than the restaurants near by but standard high.
The service was very good. Even though I arrived at the hotel earlier than the check in time, I checked in immediately without any delay. The room was very clean.
efficiently run, good breakfast and served till noon on weekends n/a
nothing specific poor lighting in the rooms
The beds were absolutely amazing.
The view to the street in the rainy weather They have charged me euro 8 per minute for an international call. That was far too expensive. Moreover, the breakfast was not included in the rate - euro 25 per person extra for breakfast.
Location, service attitude
Service was very good, it was clean and quite luxurious.
The hilton standard quality
Comfortable rooms, view from 15th floor, excellent breakfast Queen delxe plus room - it is not standard for 5 stars, it is 3 or 4. Bathroom was small, TV was old, shower was on the wall, not portable, without massage mode. Baths was for children, not for adults.
The service and Location was perfect. I expected more though especially that I got equal service in some 3 star hotels in Europe. I got equal service in some 3 star hotels in Europe. Therefore, the value for money is not worthy. I have asked the reception to give me a late check-out for an extra hour and he refused which made us leave the hotel early and stay in the Airport for an extra hour.
the place (louise) such nice place.
The deal was great, staff good, breakfast nice and great that it was included as most Brussels hotels don't include it. The location is good, easy to get to and in a nice area. I would not say that the room we stayed in was 'luxury' or 5 star, although it was comfortable and clean. I think the staff may have been overworked/understaffed during breakfast service as it was difficult to get coffee and refills. The price of minibar items is terrible - 7 euros for a bottle of water (which is the same as a bottle of beer).
Spacious room, great views across the city The bathroom fittings are very 1970s. They could do with putting in better shower units
The staff is great! They know me well by now and pamper me. The executive lounge was very dirty. Glass tables looked as they had not been cleanec in days! The service was much too slow. First time it was that bad.
High floor, quiet room
room veiw was fantastic panoramic veiw over city was awesome breakfast was super every thing you could want quite a long walk from grand place
The location of the hotel is excellent. Our rooms were on the fourth floor. This floor is due to be renovated. I would suggest that it is overdue. Tiles are lifting in the bathrooms making proper cleaning impossible and there is mould everywhere. The toilets are coming away from the walls. They also block at regular intervals. Cupboard doors are coming off their hinges and racks of drawers are broken, making unpacking difficult. The beds were soft and uncomfortable. After we complained, we were moved to another set of rooms, also on the fourth floor. These rooms were in a slightly better state of repair, perhaps owing to the fact that they were part of a suite and therefore used less frequently. However, the beds were still uncomfortable and are due to be replaced.
I have received everything I asked for - a hotel in the ceter of town, with all the amenities, corteous and pleasant people at the reception and the departure. I shall use you on my trips again.
Free wifi, cleanliness, allowance of late check out, location Slow wifi, water pressure in shower
I thought the entire staff including housekeeping was very friendly, helpful, courteous, efficient in trying to meet our needs. I had to deal with management couple of times and Dimitros was just great! Location is excellent, rooms are well lite with all the amenities. I like the idea that every floor is different in color and décor. Also many rooms are not the same. I like the state of the art security system and privacy with the room keys and not being able to access another floor w/your room key. Rooms are comfortable not like some hotel rooms that are very small and crowed. I think on the daily basis they should make a slight change in their menu for the buffet breakfast. Everyday it was exactly the same. Breakfast is open 6:15 and they should be ready at 6:15, the hot food was not ready till 6:40, chef was still preparing. I was with a Globus tour in Amsterdam, Luxemburg and the 2 hotels there had a slight change in their menu. Radisson should get a sophisticated coffee machine so people can help themselves that way you don't have to ask them for coffee and it would help a busy day. It was very chaotic, short of staff several days in the breakfast restaurant, , everybody was running around then accidents occurred spilling coffee, crashing plates. Tables were not cleaned off so it was difficult to find a table. I understand that at times understaffing occurs, I think days like this they should have a sign Please wait to be seated, so they could get a table ready for the amt. of customers to be seated. As people were let in freely, we're looking for a clean table and it was difficult to find one so I landed up cleaning my table plus got my own coffee. I felt it was ok to help out a little bit. They have a ledge anywhere from 2 1/2-3 inches high before going into the bathroom which doesn't make sense why they have it, it serves no purpose and certainly does not help the décor. I think it is very dangerous especially at night. I kicked it on the first day 3 times and then I put a colorful luggage strap on the floor and left the light on. 2 other couples stumbled on it, laid a towel to even it out, taped some paper across as a reminder that the ledge was there.
General ambience, decor, location We could not adjust the room heating low enough or alter the temperature of the bath/shower water.
Staff was very accomodating and I was very pleased with the service. I paid extra to stay on the business floor as I had much work to do between meetings. The Internet was barely working and I was very unproductive. This was a major disappointment especially for the extra money spent.
Location and staff weRe great. I was on the second floor and there must be a club directly underneath. I couldn't sleep because the music was throbbing through the room. I had to be up at 5 am so this was disastrous. Not good at all. Not worth it at all.
Perfect location It is really 4*. No 5*.
Great location for bars and restaurants.
Its nice clean and in a good location I arrived at 13:46 and I was told that check in starts at 15:00 so I was given the room as a favour Thats the feeling I got
Free parking at the hotel. Nice surprise were the tickets of the Margritte museum and the tickets of the public traffic. Good service, nice personel good breakfast, good excusebecause it was too crouded to be placed immediately. The room maid came twice disturbing us. The room smelt of smoke, what was irritating.
The room was big and very quiet.
The price was good value for the centre of Brussels Room was quite small particularly toilet. No food available after 10.30 and no information on alternatives for travellers who arrive late.
the staff was very courteious Layout of the building
Room is quite spacious and clean. Breakfast was yummy.
The hotel was really clean and beautifully designed. The bathroom had a bath in it that you often don't have at many other hotels. The breakfast served was also to my liking. The warm water in the shower did not work correctly.
Good location not great, nice remodeled room, good value , staff ok not great, good value for Europe
staff were friendly, breakfast was good and the lacation was good. Althought check out was at 11:00 we were allowed to stay untill 12:00 check out at 11:00
Marvellous hotel with a good price in the centre of the city. More friendly personnel
Newly remodelled, reasonably comfortable, wireless in the room.
great localization, great design
Excellent help from desk personnell, very nice breakfast and free WI FI; I don't like to single beds joined together.
The 8th floor room had a very spacious balcony. With the temperature well below zero it couldn't be enjoyed but a summer visit would be a different matter.
The excellent location and the great support of the personel ,the tidy room and the hospitality made the whole family very happy.
The location was excellent as were the facilities, The breakfast buffet was varied and served until 11am. The hotel has no double glazing and was quite noisy in the early hours with street and traffic noise.
Just the manager was really good, the front desk can be improved mainly regarding parking information
The location was ideal. The stuff very friendly and efficient. The rooms were spcacious and quiet. Breakfeast very good.
location super, spotless clean hotel and friendly staff, great value too.
Centrally located but feels a bit shabby. Hotel is showing wear. Not a holiday spot, feels more like a business conference spot.
I found the room comfortable, the young lady who was on duty when I checked in and on the couple of afternoons/evenings I was around very courteous and helpful. Liked the spaciousness of the foyer as well. I enjoy a drink in a bar and would have welcomed such a facility in the hotel.
Good location. Good breakfast that was included. Loud room and window. Broken coffee maker. Windows didn't open. Low water pressure in shower. Starchy hard sheets.
What a lovely room! Just great, and a perfect location. Quite long queues at checkout so hard to ask reception staff anything.
Standard of service & accomodation for the price, friendly helpful staff and the location It was hard to find good directions
Great location, great hotel, lots of shops, restaurants and bars around it Hotel directions aren't useful, use this: Take Tram/Metro direction Gare de Nord, Get off at De boukere, exit Av. Ad Max and it is right opposite the street as you exit.
There was no AirCondition.
The warm welcome from the receptionist when we arrived and checked in. The location. The rooms are to hot and there's no way to change that besides opening window. When I called reception the staff were neither helpfull nor polite. The restaurant staff could not handle the amount of guests.
staff, rooms and atmosphere in the restaurant and bar the web site says it is just 9 km from Vilvoorde, but it was long time to get there by car
Good location to the city Was not informed that our room would not have an air conditioning unit. It was 90 degrees in Brussels during our stay and they only provided us with two fans. It was extremely hot and very uncomfortable, when I filed a complaint they couldn't move our room until the very last night and only refunded me $25.
very convenient location (North Station +close to underground). Very nice+ helpful staff. quite respectable+ spacious lobby, bar, etc. No fridge in the room. No iron. Room more like ***hotel.
Staff, Breakfast buffet. No swimming pool etc
heating system in the room
Wery nice, komfortable, good food and service, quaert hotel in centrum hectict city. We like it!
The rooms were very nice and comfortable
Felt it was a 3 star hotel
Free weekend parking in Hotel,Not far from city centre 2 min by car. The Breakfast cost 20 Euros, I chose this hotel to enjoy spa,not worth. There is no chairs to relax, there is no proper changing room. For 180 Euros You can find better 4 star hotel .
Location of the hotel is excellent, as it is near the metro as well as Grand Place Towels had holes in them and bed linen was not clean
Complaint about a broken light bulb fastly dealt with. Very pleasant stay. The fact that internet on the computers in the lobby was not easily/freely accessible for checking emails or train departures. A slight inconveniance...
Very near the city centre, 2-3 mins walking distance
nice hotel for a city-trip, kids enjoyed swimming pool though it was very small
Very centrally located and close to Grand Place.
I like the location, value and cleanness of the Hotel.
It was easy to find at it was placed in a perfect area, close to everything - Metro was round the corner as well as the central station. The area had a lot of very good restaurants just next to the hotel. I would stay here again if i had to go to Brussels. No
The breakfast, the room, the pool, the videogame at the lobby were very nice. There was a line to take the breakfast. We had to wait about 20 minutes to have a seat.
Good sized room with comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities were good. I was disappointed that the pool was too shallow to have a swim - probably more of a splash pool.
Great location. Only 2 min. walking distance to the Grand Place. Nice area. The pool was great, we used it every night. 2 saunas, VERY relaxing! Open until 10pm. The staff was helpful and went out of their way to help us figure out where we were going and would call taxis for us. The rooms were nice, the pictures on this site do them no justice! Nice bar area and bartenders, open until 1am! :) Would definately stay again! Only wifi and certain rooms, had to use lobby area to get on the internet. Very expensive to use. 10 euro for one hour and 25 euro for 24 hours. The beds were a little to hard. Beckfast was WAY to expensive. 15 euro per person per day. They over charged us for the room by 100 euro. But once we mentioned it they quickly fixed the problem.
Great location. Modern facilities. Spacy rooms. Good value for money.
Nice design, good location and potentially good overall package. Room was sizable and bed comfortable. Hotel had opened previous weekend and there were issues, unfortunately. WiFi signal is not the strongest yet and air conditioning is sucking all the heat out.
Friendly hotel staff. Excellent location just 50m from the central station and 10min walk to the down town. Sound-proof rooms. Nice Breakfast. In the first day, some reconstruction activities took place at the lobby area. In case, you go there for business purposes, please note that the wireless access is only available at the lobby, and the internet connection went down due to an ISP fault.
Great room and bed plus very friendly staff A hard street/location to find but well worth the effort
The hotel was within a few minutes walk from Grand Place and close to many cafes/restaurants. The hotel was minimalist but comfortable with a great bathroom including a superb walk-in shower. The staff were very helpful. It was a little difficult to find being tucked away down a narrow street.
Very nice room. Clean, big bed, high quality cosmetics. Hotel has 2 computers with Internet. You can use them free. Location is excelent - 100m from Central Station. The heating system wasn't working. Hotel staff was unfriendly. They didn't care about client needs. Breakfast is pretty poor for a 4 stars hotel. The food is fresh and tasty but you have not many chooses (french style - avaricious). They asked us to pay the bill in advance when we checked in.
Perfect location for our city trip, nevertheless quiet. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Very friendly staff except from the very grumpy one doing the check out early in the morning...
Central location. No noise from the street. Nicely decorated. Staff willing to solve the initial problems: example, electric heater brought to the room; metal key to lock the door, etc. Front desk staff still not 100% trained and familiar with tasks and tools. Before opening an hotel basic checks should be a must: telephone not working, heating not working, hotel room could be locked only with a traditional metal key, etc.
the hotel is new! everything is so nice prepared. The wash room, the bed sheet are all very clearn. The room is big.The Location is excellent. But travellers must make sure you come out from the correct tram/train stop. If you come out from the correct one, you find the hote is just in front you. We came out from the trian station main exis, returns out we walked a big round to get to the hotel. if you are not sure how to go there, make sure you check the google map or call the hotel when you get off your train. if breakfast is included in 99 Euro would be great!
absolutely newly opened, excellent staff, very good breakfast; excellent standard of room and bathroom wireless not working in room; little natural light
Excellent location, general good quality hotel cold
The fact that it was really central location in the capital and easy !
Hotel was fine - very close to Gare Centrale and Grand Place Breakfast was ridiculously expensive 21 € - and was not worth the money - just a standard buffet
Location and price, perfectly adequate Noise from hall, some maintenance issues in room
the condition of the room and bathroom is 3 star at it's best, not a 4 star hotel
--> TLDR? This hotel was a nightmare because of: - No working water for 2 days without notice! - Rude and unprofessional staff (arguing in the hall for 40 minutes) - The worst water pressure - Ladies - Bathroom was completely unusable to do hair/makeup (lighting, no plugs, no mirrors outside the bathroom) Oh and that "open bar" they call out? You have to pay for anything you get from it. They like to be purposefully deceiving here. After a 8 hours of travel, sweaty and tired, we arrived at NH Brussels Grand Place. At the counter was a notice saying that there would be no water service (no showers, no use of toilets, no use of sinks) until the evening. News to us. I asked why we were not notified that there was maintenance on the water - if we had been emailed, I would have showered before leaving in the morning. It was a huge inconvenience that now I had to either sit in the room for hours waiting for the water to come on, wasting our precious little time in Brussels, or hit the town with hair that hadn't been washed in 2 days, and generally just feeling disgusting. Without apologizing, she said they found out about it this morning and there was nothing she could do. We came down later and asked for a manager. He wasn't in. We were upset that we had no warning about the water and were treated without empathy by the concierge. We were told by another unapologetic employee at the front desk that this is planned maintenance that happens at the start of the year to clean the water. So...you didn't know it was happening to give advanced notice but it's planned maintenance that happens this time every year? Alright then. The next morning we're awoken at 8am by a woman loudly cleaning out all the rooms in the hall. Bit early? Fine. Then we hear more commotion - the woman, along with what sounds like the manager, are loudly arguing in the hall. We can hear it all the way from the bed, as it's a heated argument. This lasts 30-40 minutes. I get up and see that there's a slip of paper under my door. I pick it up and realize it's identical to the notice we saw yesterday, just with changed dates. Yes - the water will be off again from 10:30am to 5:30pm. It is now just after 9am - thankfully we didn't sleep in and miss our ability to shower again!! Yet again, we get no notice that we need to get up at 9am or earlier to get a shower again. Good thing we had a full day planned and weren't reliant on using the toilet in the hotel during the day. I take a shower (while I still can), and it's seriously a joke. The water dribbles from the shower head, barely allowing me to fully rinse the shampoo from my hair. I towel off and pick up the hotel-provided hair dryer. It's weak, but it will do. One minute later, the dryer overheats and is rendered unusable. Luckily, I have a travel dryer. I see there are no outlets in nor around the bathroom. Typical Europe. I go out into the bed area and realize the *only* mirrors are in the bathroom. I'm forced to use my faint reflection in the tv as a mirror. That done, I go back into the bathroom to do my makeup. I look at myself in the mirror and see that the lighting is so poorly laid out, it makes it nearly impossible to see what you're doing. There are no front facing lights, just an led that is behind you as you get up close to the mirror to apply makeup, making you look like the monster in a horror film. Clearly a woman had no hand in its design.
Good central location, the breakfast was very good and I would stay here again
big & silent room
Very modern, clean and comfortable rooms. Having a room at the end of the hallway (no noise) and with windows opening at the front and the back of the room was surely a bonus. Staff at the desk spoke many languages, unfortunately Dutch was not one of them.
The Staff were always very friendly, welcoming and smiling. This made it easy to approach them about anything. The room and facilities there were really very good.
Very much so!!!
Nothing. Rip off. Totally overpriced
Location close to the Grand Place. The bar was only open at certain times. I was also surprised that there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room.
Location near the Grand Place, internet service, godd breakfast and helpful staff.
Nice rooms, great location We could smell the sewage in our room. When we confronted the staff about it, they said yes, the sewage line runs under the hotel.
You can't get a better location than this. Very nice front desk people. Breakfast was rich and the service amazing. Loved their waffle maker. Overall good experience. I wish they had milk alternatives like soy, almond or lactose free milk. The chocolate store in the building is touristy and overpriced, the service is terrible; even if its not the same business than the hotel, the hotel should not promote it or recommend it (they give you a 10% discount if you are a guest) The glass divider in the shower is dangerous, they are not firmly attached.
Excelent location, good breakfast
nice rooms, good breakfast. power on my shower was low and took a long time to heat up in the late evening.
Excellent location, within easy walking distance of the main sights and public transport system. Accommodation was clean & tidy and staff most helpful & efficient. Our room was faultless.
Leaving the hotel I woke up 3 times to find the room filled with a smell of rotten eggs which me me feel ill and had to change rooms. the second room was fine, but much smaller.
location was good, staff was nice the room was horrible. awkwardly placed in a dark corner next to the service elevator and stairs. a lot of noise of staff moving stuff, walking up and down the stairs at night and early morning. definitely not what I expected from this hotel which seemed nice from the pictures. I felt cheated and very disappointed. If there was a way to request some kind of refund or compensation, I would.
The relaxed attitude and comfort, that made it a pleasure to stay for our weekend visit to the Christmas Market Would like tea making facilities in the room
Clients are very good taking care of.
