Pros: We loved our stay at the Hotel Zichy. The rooms were comfortable, with nice sheets and bed. The breakfast was very elaborate and high quality with a variety of items to satisfy everyone (freshly squeezed juice, a number of hot items, cold cuts, cheeses, a selection of breads and fresh fruit). Would certainly stay here again.
Cons: The shower area did get a bit wet as the modern design did not enclose it completely from the rest of the bathroom.
Pros: the comfort and personal attention
Cons: everything was just perfect

Pros: The hotel is located in a beautiful renovated historical building 5 minutes walk away from the Parlament. It's modern inside and everything is clean and new. Service was great and the friendly staff addressed all our questions and needs. The breakfast was o'key.
Cons: The mattresses were too soft, and not very comfortable.
Pros: The hotel was charming and was in a decent location (good because it is on a quiet street away from tourists and noise, but not great because it is a little bit away from the more central part of the city with restaurants, pubs, and shopping). The staff were very helpful and friendly, and breakfast and coffee were provided (until 10am and 4pm respectively). Most major amenities are available to guests and the decor is nice.
Cons: The rooms were small and felt a bit stuffy, which was the feel for the hotel as a whole, so the rooms felt hot after a while. The location is nice if you like being away from loud areas, but it is a little removed from most of the central bustle of Budapest.
Pros: The lobby, breakfast, staff, location very close parliament and the metro.
Cons: The beds. My husbsnd and I were on our honeymoon and were put in a room with twin beds. Also the room furnishings felt like they were all from Ikea. Still a fantastice place to stay.
Pros: Great location, staff and service. High quality breakfast. Close to attractions.
Pros: I liked the whole atmosphere of the Hotel. The staff was very well trained, courtiers and helpful.
I was able to enjoy my stay very much because of the staff. The breakfast was included and
every good they offered was fresh and delicious. Breakfast became an event for us, we enjoyed it so
much at the hotel.

Pros: I have been planning to stay in Budapest for over a year now. It was really important to me that the hotel has an excellent location and I preferred the spa experience over the view of the Danube. However...
Cons: Only my first day was I able to use the sauna. I was the one who had to discover that it is broken and over heating. I had a burn mark from the previous day and the next morning I discovered that the thermo meter is not working any more it was extremely hot in there and since they could not fix the problem they had to shut it down for the rest of my stay... I was disappointed since that was the reason I booked Kempinski...
Pros: This hotel was in the most perfect location! The Xmas market was right behind the hotel, the river and Chain bridge were about 2-3 blocks away, and the famous shopping street, Vaci uti was 1 block away. The rooms were so comfortable, and they provided slippers and plush bathrobes.
Cons: The perfumed smell in the lobby and hallways was a bit overwhelming (luckily it did not permeate the rooms or it would have been a problem). They kept playing an Ad for their hotel on the TV which I found sexist and offensive (showing their maid taking a bubble bath and dressing in a lace thong before coming to work at the Kempinski hotel chain (what is that all about?).
Pros: location, size of room, folks at front desk were very helpful

Cons: On a trip to several countries, the Boscolo staff was definitely the least friendly of all the hotels we stayed at. I'm not sure if it was because we were younger than their typical crowd splurging on a nice hotel or what but they seemed like the couldn't care less that we were there. They were not very helpful, and two employees confirmed that we had prepaid for breakfast then the host at the breakfast buffet informed us after we ate that it was not included and presented us with a bill. The hotel did nothing to attempt to explain why this had happened.
Pros: The lobby is magnificent, the room was lovely. It's about 15 min from the "center" IE the chain bridge. Pieter the concierge is wonderful and very helpful. The food is hit or miss, I enjoyed the goulash and parsely spaetzle. Most of the desserts were too sweet.
Pros: Wonderful place to stay. Staff very accommodating. Food great. Atmosphere stunning.
Pros: Beautiful historic building with lavish features inside and out. No detail overlooked from front desk customer service to house keeping, everyone is friendly, professional and efficient. A well oiled machine that has exceeded our expectations on multiple visits.
Cons: No complaints, the staff went above and beyond.
Pros: Exceptional staff at this hotel. Gracious, polite, helpful, cheerful. A delight in every way.
Pros: The day time house cleaning staff needs attention. Our room was not made up either morning of our stay. When informed, the hotel was responsive.
The room was beaufiful and the bathroom large and luxurious. The location of hotel was very good. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
Pros: Like the building and the New York cafe which is situated inside the hotel the pool and spa area is very good as well

Pros: Excellent location
Allowed early check in
Clean and comfortable room
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: The hotel smells like sewer gas, everywhere. The rooms are outdated, dingy, and dirty. Housekeeping was lazy or poorly trained. This hotel did not maintain the standards of other Sofitels. However, the staff were friendly. I sought compensation for the problems encountered and they gave us free transportation to the train station.
Pros: Virtually everything was great!
Cons: Had no complaints.
Pros: Excellent location and great breakfast.
Concierge staff excellent, we needed to get a taxi to the country and she ordered the taxi then came out to talk to the drive to ensure he new where to take us.
Cons: Check in staff not very welcoming, in fact he was on the phone for some of the process, didn't offer any information about the hotel, breakfast times etc.
Only one pair of slippers in the room and two towels for a Twin room, called housekeeping to ask for more items to be brought to the room, an hour later they still hadn't brought them so had to call again.
Next day no towels in room as they had run out, left a note in room to say they would be delivered but they never did. Obviously don't cope well if the hotel is full.
Pros: Terrific location, right next to Chain Bridge and less than a 5-minute walk to the edge of the main square. Gorgeous views of Castle Hill as soon as you walk outside. Easy walk to the bridge and funicular starting point.
Cons: The room had absolutely no view; it just looked out onto other rooms.
Pros: Location, room
Cons: The concierge was not professional, not that friendly and tried to send us to the places she is getting higher commission from. It was very unpleasant experience. We had to go to the next door hotels to get the info we needed. I think that 5 stars hotel can do much better in giving its guests an accurate info.
Pros: Breakfast and location
The Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge boasts spectacular views of the famous Chain Bridge and a prime location near the River Danube, Hungarian Parliament, Hungarian State Opera and the Castle in downtown. Hotel facilities include a luxury spa with pool and sauna, a gourmet French-Hungarian restaurant with show kitchen and a stylish bar. State-of-the-art function rooms host memorable events. Many of this luxury Budapest hotel's 357 rooms and suites have Danube views and Club Millésime privileges.
Hotel Zenit Budapest lies in the middle of the bustling Pest side of the Danube, just a block from Vigadó Concert Hall. It's a 5-minute walk to Váci Street, home to some the city’s best shopping, and 15 more by foot to the poignant Holocaust memorial.
Cons: No complimentary water bottles other than those provided on arrival.
Pros: the localisation of the hotel is perfect , clean place and confortable,
Cons: decoration /size of the room
Pros: The location was perfect(proximity to great stores, small shops, restaurants, baths, the market, parks), and the view of the river exceptional.
Pros: Location, location, location. Slept well (comfy bed, AC worked well). Wifi was slow, but consistently worked. Staff was very friendly and professional.
Cons: Level of quality in furnishings, linens, fixtures, decor not what I expect of a 5 star hotel. Would have been quite disappointed if I'd paid the full published rate for this hotel. Based on the discounted rate I paid, was happy with the value. 4 stars.
Pros: The excellent location, centrally located. The amazing view! The helpfulness of the staff.
Pros: Location however it was not as close to the the Synagoge as it was stated.
Cons: The price of breakfast /outrageous/ which we did not have. Most 5 star hotels include breakfast in the price.
Pros: Wonderful location on the Danube, looks out at the Palace at night if you are facing the river.
Cons: Charged 50 euros a night tutu face the river and tutu have a third guest in the room.
Pros: The view is splendid. The spa is a geeat plus and the service is super efficient and kind
It was walking distance from all the major attractions like restaurants & nightlife. I only used a taxi to get to the hotel & on the way back to the airport the receptionist was nice enough to notify me about a shuttle bus that only costed $10.00 per person instead of $30.00 for a cab.
Pros: Great location & decent rooms. Very helpful staff who are always willing to help.
Cons: The air conditioning was not getting cold. So I woke up every morning sweating. The king bed was actually 2 twin beds joint together & mattress was a bit hard.
Pros: wonderful location and you can see clearly buda castle through your window, it's fantastic to sit on big windowsill and enjoy all the views every day.
Cons: small bathroom, not a 5 star bathroom
Pros: Great location, spacious rooms, professional staff.
Cons: Service slow in restaurant.
Pros: Great location amazing stuff willing and happy to assist and with a big smile.

After visiting the fitness center for a workout, you can grab a bite to eat at one of the 5 restaurants or unwind with a drink at one of the 5 bars/lounges. Pros: Great hotel! Clean and right in the middle of Budapest (the opera house is literally right next door). Front desk (Agnes) was very helpful and accommodateing. Breakfast was nice as well. Would definitely return.
Cons: The room key system is a little strange, not bad, just strange.
Pros: The staff was friendly and hard working. The breakfast was great and kept me full until supper time. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. Enjoyed using the treadmill in the fitness center. With today's strong US dollar, you can live like a king in Budapest at the K+K Hotel.
Cons: Nothing worth mentioning.
Pros: Excellent location. Very close to metro and busses. Quiet location just off main street. Steps from opera house. Room was very nice . Comfortable bed, clean. I was on first floor and the view was of wall. Not a problem as I did not spend much time in the room. The breakfast was excellent with great variety. Staff helpful and friendly.
Pros: The receptionists were generally VERY helpful, including one who worked the phone for ten or fifteen minutes and got me an incomprehensible deal on a personal day trip to the tokaji wine region, picked up and dropped off at the hotel, with tours of three vineyards and tastings with the nicest guide ever, scheduled less than two days before the trip. This wad a highlight of my stay in Hungary. They also let me extend my stay for two additional nights jist the day before my scheduled checkout, although the cost of the room went up rather significsntly (it was very cheap to start, though, considering the quality of the hotel). The typical hotel provisions to the room are rather minimal though (soap extremely tiny, no slippers, only one box of tissues), so I found myself asking for things at the front desk a lot, which made me feel a bit awkward.
The K+K Hotel Opera Budapest, with its elegant modern facade, is located next door to the city's Opera House and one kilometre from the River Danube. All include air conditioning, coffee/tea makers, satellite television, direct-dial telephones and complimentary high-speed wired and wireless Internet access. Pros: 1. The view: I had the room with Danube River facing Parliament;
2. There is a back door that you can access (exit and enter) using your room key card. This leads you directly to the steps towards the Castle area. Near to the main Metro (Batthyany square), bus and tram lines.
3. The staff at the coffee house/ restaurant (lobby floor) are really friendly and make you feel at home.
4. Wi-Fi speed is good. There are plenty of socket Outlet points for laptop, tablet, phone, iPad, power banks .... And hair dryer! The design of the hotel is well thought-out. Well done!
Cons: 1. Buffet Breakfast spread: would have expected more for a 4/5 star hotel.
2. The main road from (Batthyány Square) although is lighted up. But there are 'funny characters' and drunks lurking and appearing at darker corners and adjoining smaller streets at night.
3. The underground metro is also full of 'drunks' and homeless screaming and begging for money.
Pros: This Hotel was fantastic! Perfect! Walking distance to the bridge and a Hop/On-Off Bus Stop. The view was amazing! The staff was very helpful in providing information about ATM's, restaurants, etc
Pros: Location. Friendly staff
Cons: That we got a smojing room without asking for it. Room did not smell. But feelt in the morning like cigarette smoke came from maybe ventilation.
Pros: I liked all about this hotel, room was really big and clean, comfort beds. Location was ideal for us, 700 m from uptown and 700 m from downtown
Pros: The staff was very helpful in providing information about ATM's, restaurants, etc. Our room was clean and made up very well each day. A tram line runs in front of the hotel and a metro is about a 5 minute walk (or take the tram) from the hotel. A bank, grocery store, and numerous restaurants are within 5 minutes or less. The hotel is located right on the Danube and nearly across from the Parliament building. It is also very easy to get to Castle Hill and via tram or metro to most things in and around the city. There is free internet and pots with tea and coffee in the room.
Cons: No real complaints, but the bed was a little too hard for my wife but fine for me. I know folks want you to buy there stuff in the in-room refrigerator, but it would be nice if it had a little room to store a sandwich or a bottle of your own pop.
Pros: Very quiet and clean. The bed was super comfortable and the room was well air conditioned.
Cons: Staff was competent but not friendly At breakfast, the host communicated mainly by gestures and resented any questions. Free WIFI was glacially slow and not really usable.
