Good location, rustic rooms, very good english speaking staff. One of only a few hotels with rooms remaining for the Baja 1000. Hotel never received the reservation from hotels.com or booking.com. Hotel charged me for my room twice and it has taken more than week to rectify.
The staff was really nice and the facility was very clean. The breakfast and drink voucher. The complimentary toiletries that were not complimentary.
We've been coming to Las Rosas since 1996, but we recently took a 7 year break because of the unrest in Mexico. We didn't know what to expect after 7 years, but everything was the same--the pool, outdoor jacuzzi, bar, dining area, guest rooms, and the best view of the ocean anywhere from every room! It was just what we hoped for. The place is a little more worn (only minor character flaws in my opinion), but the carpets and furniture in our rooms were new and everything was clean. This is not a super luxurious hotel, so don't expect all the bells and whistles, but it is gorgeous, the staff is wonderful, and did I mention the views--incredible! We still love this place!
It's always a pleasure to stay there The views, at sunset and the serenity of the sea
Love the views of each room. Rooms clean and staff is nice and helpful. Need a coffee maker in the room. A fridge would be nice too.
Ac didn't work well and Rom was stuffy and hot. Booked online and was over charged $20/ night. Could have called dirctly and gotten rack rate
Staff was amazing. Room was perfect. Decor is Mexican traditional. Room is spacious with closet access to bathroom. Safety and proximity to shops and restaurants. Parking is a little tight. Pool needed cleaning not to bad a few leaves and bugs. Wifi was poor.
The bed was confortable and everything was clean. Room was spacious. Had a sofa. Location was good. Close to starting line of BAJA 500. Too loud. No iron in room. The sofa in the room was collapsed. No balcony just a view of the roof. All rooms had name except that room. Room door was too small. Had stairs to enter room and if not careful you could hit your head on door opening. Expected more for a junior suite.
Location, and Private Secured Parking nothing
Close to a lot of attractions in the city. Great service and clean environment.
Friendly staff, room was clean. Construction late at night, missing iron and WiFi had no connection
Attentive staff from the time I pulled into the secured, gated parking lot, I received immediate assistance with my luggage and a bell cart in less than two minutes. There were great rooms on 3rd floor with amenities, pool area was fabulous, bar hours a plus, restaurant was excellent and food was delicious! I'm 39 and I've never slept so well. The beds were divine! Also, there's a minimart just around the corner for any necessities. Great location, worth every penny. I will definitely be booking the San Nicolas Hotel for my next trip Left nothing to be desired. Excellent first time stay for three nights.
The staff was nice and very accommodating. The place is very old and it smelled. The pictures on the website do not reflect what it really looks like. I will not recommend anybody to stay here and I will definitely won't be coming back.
Just the pool Service is not good and the room was not clean 100%
As always, the hotel was great. We reserved a king room but were given two queens which was nice. Only thing that could've made our stay better was a view of the gorgeous pool vs the street view we had, but not a big issue at all. Can't wait to stay there again on our next trip. So close to to everything! Construction was going on but wasn't an issue...just looked a little blemished.
If your looking for a quiet place this is it. It's somewhat secluded. Bathroom is very outdated!! Wifi never worked. Rooms do not have iron, hairdryer, coffe, micro, fridge.
Hotel with old world charm. The hotel is not within walking distance of anything, but I like that about it. Beautiful views of the ocean, but it does not have a beach or water access. Hot water in the shower, clean rooms, comfortable beds on the hard side (personal preference) and a lovely courtyard. Rooms are well priced. Walls are paper thin. Food and coffee on site are overpriced.
THE HOTEL WAS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND I WAS NOT TOLD THIS WHEN BOOKING THE ROOM, VERY NOISEY, THE BUILDING HAD NO NAME ON IT AND IT TOOK US OVER AN HOUR TO LOCATE WE ARE NOT FAMILAR WITH THIS CITY/COUNTRY. HORRIIBLE WIFI. WHILE CHANGING THE CLEANING PERSON OPEN THE DOOR THAT WAS SO BAD.
I loved that every room has a balcony and you have amazing views of ensenada. Also its close to all the stores, restaurants and bars. Also the pool is big and well kept. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was filthy, i looked in back of my bed and it looked like it hadnt been cleaned for YEARS!. Every corner or parts of the walls, the paint was peeling off. Cracks and parts of the wall missing. The ceiling of the the bath tub is wood and looked like it was fixed 15 times and its ready to fall off. VERY badly taken care of. Its sad because the views and locations are perfect.
Everything especially are view.
It a great location , good service clean . great view also close for shopping . we have a great time dancing . Thank you
The indoor pool and spa were not open
The marina and bay view. The morning breakfast. Courteous, friendly, and helpful staff. Close to the wine country. I can't really complain, but I would have liked to have been able to dance. That would have made it perfect.
Large balcony faces ocean & marina. Staff very helpful & pleasant. Parking was included which was great. Sign for hotel is kind of hidden by palm tree so the first time it was a little hard to find. Suggest better sign & better address for GPS
The hotel itself is nice. A little dated but clean and with character. The parking seemed very safe. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were perfect this time of the year. room was large Ice machines were all off and when I ordered some from room service it never showed up. My overall experience is that it wasn't worth the price tag.
I like that everyone at the front desk/bellman made eye contact with me and my wife. I did request at the front desk for extra towles. As soon as we arrived to our room on the fourth floor. Housekeeping staff was at the door with towles and a smile. The two young ladies at spa were fantastic I didn't like the robes that we were given at the spa. They are worn out at the sleeves the neck area. Missing robe belt. The gentlemen that brought my lunch at the pool, didn't look happy nor explained that my hamburger was going to be served in a To-go Box. Would of personal liked it on a plate
Loved the price and the location of the hotel. We where in walking distance to pretty much everything. The rooms where clean and neat. The inside parking was also great, one less thing to worry about. I will be going back to this hotel in the future. TV was very limited on the channels. I wish they had a small fridge and a microwave that would have topped this stay at Santo Tomas!
Room was large and had a great street view. Pillows were very nice and bedding was clean. TV didn't work very well, all Spanish channels. No water pressure in sink or shower and hot water was non existant. Bathroom floor and shower had paint chips all over and also hair. Charge $100 deposit for second room key for my wife. No clock in room and free WiFi only worked if.in the lobby. Employees were okay but not very helpful or friendly. Next time I'll go back to Hotel Villa Fontana a few blocks away.
The price was great the first night. I went in a hurry to mexico . Thank god they had rooms. Location is great. There's a Starbucks across the street. The room smelled bad. The bed was uncomfortable. I stayed with my cousin and they gave us free breakfast coupon for one person. It's was cold. Not staying there again.
It was close to all the shops, but still yo the side so not to get all the traffic. 1 block away from the tourist hot spots/shopping/bars/food. Own parking lot. SECURITY 24hrs. ENGLISH speaking staff. Well you get what you pay for. Thin walls. Thin mattress. The hotel staff wasn't as friendly and inviting although I do speak spanish. Parking spots very small and not too many (about 20-30) furniture old but did have a flat screen tv.
We went to a beerfest at the ex-Hotel Riviera. Hotel Posada Don Fernando it is at a convenient location if you are going to an event like this and you don't want to drive. From there we went to papas and beer to continue and at the end of the night we took a cab that was really cheap because the hotel is not that far. Everything is new at the hotel. Doesn't have elevator, if you have someone how need it call in advance to see if they can put you in the lower floor. Staff is good and friendly.
I liked that it was very quiet and peaceful. It was a bit older . The rooms could use an update.
I was happy with the services and personal attention from the staff
clean and close the beach no water pressure, need for toilet paper and hard to find help. no telephone to call a service and the hotel so outdate
Better than sleeping in the car. Cleanness ok The room had problem with flow of hot water. Some lights were not working. Only one hand towel for four guests. Restaurant closed at 10pm on a Saturday night. NO room service available. Weak wifi.... cutting all the time.
We arrived early and they didn't have a room for us and after we went back they still took ther sweet time to get us a room. The wifi did not work at all and they just kept making excuses for it and I had to work from my computer so we eneded cutting our trip short from two nights to just one.
My favorite part about the room was the balcony had a great balcony view of the ocean & the room was pretty spacious just as requested couldn't complain the nights we stayed there half of the time we where on the strip the other best part about it is that it's near all the location where you wanna go to literally 3 to 5 mins away from everything. The only thing I didn't like was that that there television didn't work it was a small Oldschool tv I would say that's the only thing they need to upgrade make sure everything works before they hand the keys.
