It has personality. Unlike the cookie-cutter hotels that look the same in every place, the Lenox Hotel is unique. It reminded me of some great pre-War apartment building in Manhattan. The room was somewhat spare as far as furnishings, but it was immaculate. And the hardwood floors were clean and lovely. I was with my six-year-old daughter and we both loved it. We were there on St. Patricks Day (completely unintentional). On a Saturday night. One would think that the noise level would be horrible, but it wasn't. I heard a couple of doors open and close and a couple of conversational-level voices, but that was pretty much it. Don't believe all the negative reviews. This place is a gem (and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly). It's a downtown hotel, so you get some traffic noise during the night, but not much. Honestly, I don't have anything negative to say. The room is spare--there aren't any frills. Your uptight brother-in-law wouldn't like the Lenox. Your hipster friends, your hippie friends, your arty friends, and your funky friends will love it.
We had a blast there. Rooms were smaller but we didn't spend a whole bunch of time in the room. The hotel restaurant was amazing. Try the burger and mac n cheese. Thanks Tony!!! It was all good for us!!!
