This was our second stay at the Mansion. The first was for our wedding night a few years ago. From what I can see, nothing has suffered in these last few years. The staff at the Mansion are wonderful and available to take care of you, whatever you need. Not sure what you need? Ask the staff and they'll help you out. If you like being pampered, this is the place. The place is stunning; take time to wander the Mansion and look at the woodworking and other details. The only reason I didn't give the facilities a top rating is because some of the cabinets or other fixtures in the room could use replacement. Just some basic wear and tear that is easily remedied.
Service was top notch. Free Range Rover shuttle was excellent. Honor bar in the billboards room was fantastic as was the complimentary breakfast spread the next morning. Very close to everything downtown Buffalo has to offer.
staff at the desk was very friendly and helpful the light in the bathroom was very dim, hard to see to apply makeup
Good size rooms and good location Though staff was very friendly, they didn't appear to know their own city very well and was not very good at offerring directions or arrange transport for us.
Very helpful hotel staff. Ideal location. None...
I loved the location and it was very convenient for the function we were attending. The hotel was close to the peace bridge and it was easy to get around the city. I left 3 packs of cigarettes in the bedside table with some medication. When I called the next morning to report it I was told that nothing was turned in. I even called back a second time and was told the same thing. So, someone stole my stuff and I am not very happy about that!
It was a convenient location and good value Lines at guest services were slow moving
Each member of the staff was cordial and helpful. There was adequate parking lot security via TV cameras and a guard who made rounds. Some rooms allowed smoking, which I appreciate. Breakfast area was small but adequate. No restaurant.
the beds and pillows were really comfortable
the front desk staff, the room, and the free breakfast no
The hotel was well located, near downtown Buffalo and close to cafes, restaurants and bars. The room was spacious and attractively decorated. Coffee and tea making facilities were provided in the room, and breakfast was included in the tariff. Front desk staff were very helpful, providing public transport timetables to enable us to travel around Buffalo without a car.
It has personality. Unlike the cookie-cutter hotels that look the same in every place, the Lenox Hotel is unique. It reminded me of some great pre-War apartment building in Manhattan. The room was somewhat spare as far as furnishings, but it was immaculate. And the hardwood floors were clean and lovely. I was with my six-year-old daughter and we both loved it. We were there on St. Patricks Day (completely unintentional). On a Saturday night. One would think that the noise level would be horrible, but it wasn't. I heard a couple of doors open and close and a couple of conversational-level voices, but that was pretty much it. Don't believe all the negative reviews. This place is a gem (and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly). It's a downtown hotel, so you get some traffic noise during the night, but not much. Honestly, I don't have anything negative to say. The room is spare--there aren't any frills. Your uptight brother-in-law wouldn't like the Lenox. Your hipster friends, your hippie friends, your arty friends, and your funky friends will love it.
Mk Outdated and didn't feel safe in the lobby
We had a blast there. Rooms were smaller but we didn't spend a whole bunch of time in the room. The hotel restaurant was amazing. Try the burger and mac n cheese. Thanks Tony!!! It was all good for us!!!
