The nort tower rooms have been renovated and are nice. The hallways still need renovation. The hotel is conveniently located downtown and we could park next door. The South Tower rooms were disgusting. There were stains on the carpet, on the chair, in the tub! I complained and the staff immediately moved us to the North towoer, no questions asked.
Good location Poor restaurant
Business Center Gym
Good location Dirty, smelled like smoke, beds are terrible, no help from staff upon checking, couldn't find reservation.
The entire staff was great but the front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel seems a bit dated but it that didn't take away from our visit.
Location Cleanliness problems with a broken bed dirty mirrors
Front desk staff was great. Taylor's the best! Quality of hotel very poor.
Good downtown location Every single thing is outdated and gross looking. Carpet has stains, a/c unit noisy and musty smelling, towels cheap and old. Rooms are tiny. Basically a budget oriented dump with a good location. Even the restaurant/bar was a dump. Didn't want to sit in the chair in my room as it looked like it was in a frat house for 10 years.
The location was awesome. Easy to walk around the city and see sights. The first time I stayed at a hotel that gave you shampoo and not conditioner. Mold in the shower. My neck still hurts from their overstuffed pillows Cheap itchy sheets
The staff was very friendly, accommodating and personable. Any requests that I made was handled promptly and efficiently. The hotel felt old and tired. The elevators were ill equipped to handle the amount of people that were at the convention.
The staff were courteous and helpful. Always smiling. The Bistro inside had great wings, the pool staff were wonderful. The front desk staff were accommodating. The location is right near Fountain Square, so walking distance from the buzz. The housekeeping staff did a great job, and went a step beyond. Just a wonderful time. The parking would be their only issue. It costs extra. If you use the valet service, its very exspensive. There is an above ground parking garage next door, only $10/night. The first night we didnt know that and parked on the Square in a below ground lot, that was $17/night. Otherwise, no complaints.
Great location Over priced for quality of the room. Room wasn't as clean as you would like.
The staff was awesome and definitely took care of us! The location is great, right at fountain square within easy walking distance of many places. The valet parking charge was kind of high at $30
Overall, the room/bathroom were clean and quiet - bed was extremely comfortable; full length mirror in room; great lighting around bathroom mirror; rain shower head; complementary water bottle. If you forego full housekeeping (Make a green choice), there's a minimal credit to use at participating food/bev places in the hotel or get SPG Starpoints - good incentive, Westin! Little perks like that are nice.
Comfortable, easy Very loud people on our floor slamming doors late. Security did come and address the problem quickly
Hotel was clean and very centrally located!
It is joined by other shops and free to the public. Dangerous entry late at night. Witness homeless people cursing guests out as they waited for the casino shuttle that partners with Westin Hotel and degrading females. Deserves more security by the door in that area.
Rooms were clean and it was close to a lot of things... Halls were a bit drab, music from the square was loud -it didn't bother us but older people may not like it. Probably should make sure guests are aware. Paying what we did ... Wifi should be free!!!
The sheets were very scratchy.
Didn't like that there was no notice that river view was extra until getting to hotel. Was not stated in cost when purchasing.
Restaurant doesn't have many options for food would like to see more variety
Friendliness of staff
The location is ideal for downtown events. At 10 at night the lobby was loud and filled with smokey-smelling, loitering, loud people that had just come from Cincy Beerfest. I had reserved (a month in advance) AND confirmed (the day before) a king room with my wife on the night before valentines day, but they said they "only have doubles left", so obviously reservations mean nothing to them. After that major disappointment (especially for the high rate) we found the beds didn't even have fitted sheets, and the duvets used two sheets rather than covers, so both them and the mattresses were exposed. The beds were hard as rocks, luke warm water is the best you'll get, and we couldn't get out there fast enough. I'm sure they treat you right if you're a member, but I would never want to go there enough to become one. Never using Hyatt again. There are better downtown Cincy alternatives.
Overall look of the hotel was nice and makes you feel at home. The staff was helpful and upgraded my room when they were not able to find my reservation. The rooms are nice and my view was awesome. Having a hard time checking in due to the hotel failing to enter my reservation.
I enjoyed the proximity to downtown and the actual worked well When we arrived we were informed that they only had a room with 2 twin gets even though I goofed this room two months I advance. I also completed an early check in on line further requesting a queen bed and a roll away. We arrived and not only got stuck with twin beds but no rollaway, our keys were notable to be made and we would have to move to another roomwith 2 twin beds on our third night bebecause the room we were in was booked for someone else. When we were escorted by a silent hotel employee to the room as we had no keys we arrived to a room with no toilet paper and a broken phone. Over priced
Everything, had my room ready as soon as I got there, room was beautiful and very comfortable, would definitely come back. There was nothing not to like..... Instead of the weather ,it's freakin cold in Cincinnati in January
Beautiful hotel. Excellent location
Liked room but not view.... everyone is overly friendly View. Room service should be described better, that cheese plate was disgusting. Some of people were very pretigious
The Art Deco style, the live jazz combo in the bar; helpful & friendly staff, great location in the city! A little noisy inside the rooms (street noise)
The historic building was beautiful. The location and view were also excellent. The hot tub in the gym was barely warm.
Hotel and staff were great overall Valet was professional about their mistake Valet lost keys to my car, had to locate employee from previous night stay and deliver car to my house
We loved the bar and restaurant. The food was excellent and the service extraordinary. The staff were uniformly courteous and friendly. Grand old hotel. Set the thermostat lower in our room on the 28th floor, but the temperature was unchanged 14 hours later.
Front desk and other staff very kind and helpful . We really liked the hotel, very nice and comfy! Elegant too. Valet staff was no help at all. We didn't know what to do and they thought we should it seemed like. We assumed, as is the case at other hotels, they would take our car. We went inside to find out we had to drive all over the place to self park. That's not what we wanted. I don't know how the mix up happened but it wasn't pleasant. It was probably the concierge was the problem not the actual valet staff.
Location! The staff! All wonderful! The rooms are tiny. Nice, but tiny. Make sure you really like the person you go with! :)
This was a typical Marriiott Hotel with the high standards they require. It was conveniently located, with a friendly staff and comfortable facilities. It is clearly a place that I would stay at again. Having the valet station as the first greeter a visitor sees appears to be a design flaw. Having to take two elevators to get to your room from street level is a bit inconvenient. The reception level restaurant is not very visible. Unfortunately, these factors cannot be easily changed.
Quiet, peaceful, beautiful. Great experience No breakfast
The staff were extremely polite and helpful at all times. The breakfast was excellent and there are extra facilaties provided for guests such as: a coffee bar, free internet access and printing, ATMs,pool, gym etc. The rooms are comfortable and the maid service generally good. The local shuttle bus also goes from right outside the front of the hotel. An excellent hotel, I would definitely recommend it. Very little really. The only minor issue was that the maid failed to replenish all the tea and coffee products. However, the helpful man in the coffee bar came to the rescue!
Everything was great!!
The Location is prime. Perfect for downtown Cincinnati. The staff was nice and quick about check-in and check-out. The bathroom was awesome. It was big and remodeled with a giant tub. The bedroom itself was not impressive. I expected a historic feel, but just got more of an old and musty feel instead. The comforter wasn't clean (had to brush it off before we could lay on it), and the room itself just didn't seem clean. There was also a sunlight which would have been fine, but when you looked up it was covered in dust and dirt.
Location was perfect. Right inside of everything. Valet is great! The bed felt cheap and hard. Did not get any good sleep at all and you would think after driving 10 hours in the road that day it would be easy to sleep, but the bed was old as well as all of the furniture around.
Staff was great!
Location and very friendly staff. Rooms were kind of small. Window to look out was very small.
The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati and there was plenty of entertainment and restaurants located nearby. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The hotel ultimately served its purpose as a place to sleep for the night. The furniture was a bit dated and the layout of the room lacked any real appeal. The pictures online and the four star rating seemed to be a bit exagerated. I would rate the hotel three stars overall.
Loved theroom, comfort and the bathroom. Also enjoyed lobby bar.
I am rating The Hampton Inn. Really nice hotel. The Hampton Inn was a really nice hotel but it wasn't the hotel I reserved. I was looking forward to stay in The Cincinnatian because of the historic background and wasn't expecting at all not to be nofied in advance about their problem with hot water. We could have rescheduled our trip. They relocated us and it was a nice place (can't complain about it) but a modern hotel was not what we wanted.
Only the location Staff and front desk not profession. Make us wait so long and then can find room for us even we made reservation ahead! Scary inside as well! Not worth is pay this price
The hotel was beautiful and comfortable and the location terrific. Very centralized location--easy to walk to area sites and restaurants. The wifi internet was extremely spotty and rarely worked which was disappointing and made working remotely difficult.
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Room was very clean and the bed was so very comfortable! Will definitely recommend to friends and family! Looking forward to revisiting the next time we are in the area. .
Comfortable, clean & modern. Very nice!
A good value.
From the concierge desk to checkout from the stay, the staff was amazing. Clean friendly and just awesomeness The only downside aw back was no fridge I. The room, but I didn't request one so could have been my fault
The people staff where great the food was excellent The weather
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time and would recommend the Marriott to anyone traveling through the Cincinnati area!
Great location. Newly renovated. Clean Cost to valet
Great hotel and was very clean. When i booked the room it said two queen or one king. So when we arrived i was informed that they had no king beds available. This needs to be a selection so you know what you are getting when you book a room.
Cool building with brand new rooms. Modern lobby and design throughout hotel. Still in a 'soft' opening, so there are some things that need to be worked on. Shower drained back into the bathroom and elevators had filthy overhead lights.
The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean. There is a cool macaw in the lobby that will say "hi" to you if you say hello! Free breakfast! Very friendly staff! There is a free shuttle from the hotel to Horseshoe Casino. Our room was probably not used recently because the water ran brown for a few seconds in the facets. Pool is being worked on until Feb. 2016 so we could use the neighboring hotel's pool but it seemed like to much of an inconvenience especially in December. You have to pay for parking.
Breakfast, happy hour, exercise room. Bathroom. No air vent, bathtub did not drain fast enough, toilet paper holder in awkward position (had to reach back to get it). Parking was expensive.
Close proximity to the sport events Somewhat pricey and the rooms are in need of some updating ... bathroom was pretty old
Beautiful room, really comfortable bed, very helpful staff...I travel for work and this is the best hotel experience I've had in a long time. Breakfast offerings could be more diverse, (breakfast is free) but what was there tasted good. Other than that, this place really was great.
Liked overall appearance. Liked the split areas. Great accommodations. Very friendly professional staff. Clean. A/c was not sufficient for our liking. Not enough hot water for Sunday morning shower.
Breakfast was very good. House keeping doesn't clean the rooms. Thur Evening Check-in, floor wasn't vacuumed. Fri returned from an all day outing, bed not made, floor still not vacuumed, no dirty cups removed nor replaced with clean cups, no soap or shampoo/conditioner replaced. Sat evening returned from all day outing, floor vacuumed - YAY!, requested clean sheets - didn't happen, dirty ceramic coffee cup removed but still not given a clean cup. Sunday returned from all day outing - room cleaned - YAY! but the sheets were not changed - i left a very small safety pin, pinned to the sheets and all 4 pillow cases. At check-in I asked about coffee being available in the lobby at 4 AM - I was told coffee is always available. I had to leave at 4 AM on Monday morning and was told by the person on duty that coffee is never available until breakfast at 6 AM. That's fine, just don't lie. Since I let the front desk know on Fri evening that nothing was cleaned, I'm sure that is why I never got clean linens when I asked for them on Saturday. House Keeping staff definitely doesn't follow the hotel's rule of clean sheets every 3 days. Whenever I heard the name Hyatt, the words classy, respectable, quality came to mind. I'm very disappointed. I will never stay there again and I visit this area often. Looks like their competitors will get my business.
The room design is unique, spacious and most comfortable! My great nephew stayed with me and having 2 sinks in the room was a definite advantage! Beds are unbelievably comfortable! The breakfast that was included with the room rate was abundant and delicious! The route to this one from the main interstate is a little circuitous, but once I learned the route, it became much easier.
When we returned to our room after the Reds game on Saturday night, it was very hot in the room. The air conditioner didn't seem to be working. I called the front desk and a lady came in to look at it. She did her best and was very apologetic, but could not get the air conditioner to work. She brought us a fan. When we awoke in the morning, we noticed the Wi-Fi wasn't working. We checked with the front desk and she confirmed it was not working. Then we went downstairs to have breakfast and found there was no coffee available. The help said it was being made. It was about 9 o'clock in the morning, so we found this surprising and disappointing. The breakfast bar was pretty weak compared to other hotels that I've stayed at. No fruit or yogurt was available. I travel extensively intend to stay mostly in Hilton properties. This hotel Who minded me more of a Holiday Inn, then a nice Hilton or Marriott property. I was somewhat disappointed that the lady at the front desk didn't offer me any kind of rate reduction after finding out the air conditioner was broken and couldn't be fixed. Clean, comforable, beautiful room. Big cherry doors on the shower and the toilet rooms. While it was the same old free breakfast menu they did it with top of the line ingredients. Name brand granola and Nutella. No fridge. It was between a horse track and a 4 lane road. Lots of noise if you have a room in the front with the road. It was in a peculiar place to find even with my GPS. Their signage is small. The one thing that bugged me was that they charged my card $20+ in advance for room breakage or for snacks. I didn't like this and it marred the whole visit.
Plenty of places to eat around town. Breakfast was great. Walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbor use their bathroom. Our neighbor apparently had a very small bladder and the sound from the flushing all night was extremely annoying. Also, the beds were pretty uncomfortable.
the pool and hot tub was great. My daughter loved the shampoo. The pull out bed was very thin and well used.
It was a beautiful room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We can't wait to stay here again!
The room was so clean. And the staff was very helpful. The TV didn't work and they were ready to change rooms for me when I noticed the plug was loose probably from cleaning the room we were leaving early and made us fresh coffee right away
The breakfast selection was very poor and not well prepared. Also the fact that we had to wait an hour and a half for our room to be ready after we checked in.
Great breakfast. Nice beds. Friendly staff, We called ahead to make sure the pool hours were do-able (9:30 PM) and then planned accordingly. The pool was closing at 11 PM. Arrived at 10:10 and the kids had on their suits in the car. Pool closed at 10:00.same person that verified the closing hour earlier couldn't open the pool. "No one was swimming, so they closed the pool" Sad night for the kids Vacation highlight for the kids f fizzled.
Loved staying here. The room was nice and clean, and we got it for a great price. It was pretty close to the creation museum, which was why we stayed here. The guy at the front desk didn't give me much information. He basically told me where the elevators were and gave me my room keys. I didn't ask anything though, so it's not really that big of a deal.
Location and price were good. Staff was friendly. Room was old, several things in the room had damage from previous guests. Hot tub was lukewarm. Both my wife and I were allergic to something in the room. Maybe previous guest snuck a cat in?
Staff at the front desk and Bistro were extremely friendly and helpful. They really enjoy their job which made my visit better!
Overall the hotel was great. Great price for a last minute trip. layout was up to date & had many great amenities. Arrival staff was fantastic The bathrooms could be more updated & cleaner; also day staff lacked customer service. I stood in line at their cafe for 10 mins until I finally walked away. I watched numerous employees look at me including the front desk service person and not a single one assisted me. I knew the cafe was open too !
The morning staff was friendly and helpful, the bed, the heater was much better than the one at the Days hotel we stayed at in buffalo. Quieter, more even. The shower was good
Room was clean and updated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. No dislikes.
Clean, close to airport and friendly staff Bathroom a little tired
Clean, comfortable, most of the staff was friendly and accommodating. Larger room than I expected, convenient location to visit UC. Once I actually got into the room, I was happy with everything. Some staff weren't as helpful or welcoming. Poor communication: I arrived at 10:00 am and asked if they had anything available yet. They told me they were fully booked and check in was at 11:00am. Reasonable, so I sat and waited in the dining room area across from the front desk. 11:15 comes around, nobody has said anything yet. I go up to the desk and ask for an update and they tell me nothing will be ready until 2:00pm. Essentially, I had been sitting there rather than walking the city. They took down my number and said they would call me as soon as something was ready. I left at 11:30 and had events at UC from 2-5:30, so I didn't come back to the hotel until almost 6, but nobody ever called me.
Friendly staff, great free hot breakfast, nice rooms Had to pay for parking
comfortable bed, quiet despite being busy, great breakfast, convenient location can't think of anything
Room was comfortable, not too hot or too cold when we came in. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was HUGE with a tall shower. The website did not inform us we would have to pay for parking on site.
Comfortable. Nice staff. Large breakfast. Was on the first floor, was noisy. Small fitness room. Bad coffee.
