Pros: Very friendly hosts
Cons: Initial look of the property
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely place run by lovely people. Lee and Marie are keen to make sure that guests have a good stay. The rooms were very clean and nicely presented, the bathrooms followed the same high standards. It was also a comfortable mattress and both my 6 month pregnant wife and I slept well. The breakfast the morning after the stay was freshly cooked and clean (not greasy). We were supposed to stay a 2nd night a week after the first, but something happened and we needed to prioritise taking care of the pregnant one. This B&B only offers refunds on the day of booking, even if you cancel a couple of days before. This is not a fault, and I cannot down rate them for it, after all they are running a business. My only recommendation, is that is you are going to want some food out for dinner, call the nearby restaurant “The Rag Country Inn” in advance, as you may struggle to get signal or space to get in on the day of arrival. All in all, this place is highly rated for a very good reason. The area is a quite one, but if you find yourself there, stay at The Lodge.
9.6 Excellent

Cons: Nothing, everything was more than satisfactory.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were in Room 19 which was a large room with king size bed, tea & Coffee facilities, tv, WiFi, shower creams etc etc. Was met by Lee on arrival and shown our room and gave us a well informed brief. Breakfast room was very cosy and the cooked breakfast was excellent, also provided cereals, yogurts, bread/toast, fruit juice tea /coffee. Whole experience was very good and if we were back in the same area would definitely book here.

Cons: Check in was mixed, ended up paying for tea at breakfast, which we then found out was included the next morning and was not told.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Only quibble was the breakfast was a bit poor, but as the price so reasonable and everything else so good was not a problem
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I could not fault the staff , they were all very attentive and eager to please . Very helpful. Being a lady of a certain age I really needed the window open all the time as felt it very warm for me . My son and daughterinlaw were in room 2 and I did feel their room was a little small , glad we were in room 7 much airier. A beautiful setting loved the gardens and food was lovely . We were their for a 90th birthday in town so it was an ideal base for us . Would definitely recommend .
Cons: Couldn't fault it , breakfast menu was slightly limited , we love scrambled egg and bacon , wasn't on the menu asked but it came through as scrambled eggs and mushrooms. I do know some chefs don't substitute choices so may have been why . But nothing was said.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location and easy to find, ample secure parking and lovely interior of pub and rooms, although dark at breakfast! Choice of wines and food good, even though the wine costs were higher than normal. Bathroom excellent - shower powerful and hot, bed comfy and larger than normal room, and plenty of lights.
Cons: Staff need a bit of training, and was disappointed to find out the food was pre prepared and vac packed, that said it was still good but we had to choose carefully due to salt intolerance. Breakfast poor, didn't know till we arrived that cooked was extra, and continental included in room price, which was fine, but hot water for tea was not hot enough to make a decent cuppa and no fresh fruit, so basic offering, but again, it was ok as filled a gap.
9.6 Excellent

Cons: Continental breakfast ist very basic, but still ok.

Cons: No cleaning service after first nights stay. Had to ask for clean cups and extra milk as these were not topped up. Also had to make up our room ourselves. Why was this?

Cons: nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: the breakfast was very good as you had a varied and good choice
7.5 Good
Pros: Facilities, staff and location good
Cons: My colleagues & I would suggest that a 'separate' area for the 'bar' would be more appealing The bar in the restaurant area is not a place you like to relax and the decor is not in keeping with the 'farmhouse look' (at the moment its a bit more Holiday Inn unfortunately) You would expect there to be a 'old style brick bar' area in keeping with the character of the building
6.3 Good
Pros: Comfy beds
Cons: Heating not working in the room had to leave bathroom door open to keep room warm. Breakfast ok small buffet style.

Cons: No peas!
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was fine, the staff friendly and helpful, our room was clean and fairly comfortable. Bathroom very clean but shower was rather scanty and awkward.
Cons: Lack of vegetarian options for evening meal - gnocchi or a salad does not really cut it these days, especially given the variety of meat options available. There should be at least 3 hot vegetarian options. No warning about the thumping disco opposite the hotel and our room, which went on till 3 in the morning and then the cars and shrieking as the crowd dispersed. We did not sleep a wink and left a day early because of it which was a shame.

7.5 Good
Pros: The property grounds were beautiful and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: The room was freezing cold when we arrived, as the heating had been left off - this wasn't pleasant to arrive to. You can also hear everything from other rooms, including conversations. This is not an Apart Hotel, this is basically like renting a room in someones house. Potentially convenient for some, but we do feel we did not get what we paid for.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We were visiting the National Memorial Arboretum so ideal place to spend the 2 days. It was fully equipped so calling in to Lidl’s nearby to get a pizza and wine was easy. We were fortunate we met “Rona” who told us where to go for continental breakfast (in the main house)or we would have missed it !! Enjoyed the breakfast. Everything clean and well presented
Cons: Chairs not too comfortable
6.7 Good
Pros: It was clean and everything you need is there.
Cons: Location is out of town, so its taxi's everywhere. Breakfast could be better, everything is self service and no hot food. Its all very impersonal.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The mews apartment was clean and well appointed with kitchen and good sized bathroom Parking is easy
Cons: When searching in google this hotel is advertised as having a steak restaurant, fine dining and bar. None of these facilities are available and I didn’t see one staff member during my stay. Having arrived at 8pm expecting to dine in the restaurant, I then had to drive out again to find a Tesco to buy food. Not a great experience The shower in the mews apartment was very poor with no power and the bed linen was worn and of poor quality with cheap pillows
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was clean and tidy.
Cons: very basic facilities, relatively small room. Much more in line with budget hotels, no boutique feel like the rooms in the main hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Walls were very thin so could hear everything within the lower floor
9.6 Excellent
Pros: If you are on work and looking for a quiet place to stay and get on with work this is an absolute gem. It’s good value for money. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I got a late check out too on request. Will definitely come back soon.
Cons: Nothing at all.

Pros: Staff were friendly and polite even though it was a super busy weekend. Breakfast was served in no time. Unlimited top up drinks is an excellent idea, give that homely feeling. Very comfortable beds. Sparkly bathroom. Small but had everything we needed really.
Cons: Soap dispenser would be a great addition.
