Pros: Breakfast was mediocre....but I believe it was because we were so few guests.
Pros: The facilities are historically amazing. A renewed convent with stunning views over the fields. Our bedroom had the perfect view over the pool and land. Just perfect. The room was comfortable, clean and modern. Perfect size and view. The pool space is amazing and perfect to relax. The gentleman who has received us, was amazing and extremely nice.
Cons: The breakfast is really poor. we do not recommend at all. Don’t have variety. Bread and fruit were not completely fresh. No yogurts were available although there were few cereal options. Also, as it’s far away, we decided to have lunch and dinner at the restaurant. Although the food was good, is really overpriced, with few variety. The restaurant looked abandoned. We payed 10,50€ for a basic salad.
Pros: The staff and the food were excellent. The terrace and swimming pool would be excellent in summer weather. The outlook onto a hillside with olive trees and grazing cattle was good.
Cons: The modernistic shower was not user friendly for the elderly and infirm. The signposting could be better, we had difficulty in locating the hotel.
Pros: The nature view, calm & beautiful environment, new infinity pool with sunset view, delicious food, friendly and obliging staff
Pros: Amazing room, amazing countryside views from panoramic window. Minibar etc. Best room we had on our holiday.
Cons: The town was dead. No nearby bar or restaurant. Had dinner in the hotel. We were the only customers. However food was good. Only saw one other couple at breakfast. Breakfast was OK.
Pros: Nice hotel in the middle of nowhere
Cons: Lack of staffs.
Pros: Everyone was incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly. Beautiful hotel, thoroughly relaxing.

Pros: Kind receptionist let two dusty peregrinas into our room on arrival, and there was a bath!! Very functional facility.

Pros: did the job as a one night stop over on the motorway. Rooms very quiet, well laid out. superb towels in bathroom. Good shops and cafe adjacent to hotel.

Pros: This place and its Owner are amazing. All facilities top notch. The décor is so pretty and attractive, in very good taste. Very quiet and spotless room. Breakfast very good. The pool and pool area is one thing I could take with me as a souvenir of a fabulous stay. We were also offered bathrobes for after our swim. The owner helps in every way possible and is extremely charming. Eateries close by reachable on foot.
Cons: Nothing to a finger at.
Pros: Kindness of Maria the woman that attended me. And cleanliness. Quietness. Very calm and off the road
Cons: No private parking. Though the owner says is very safe to leave car outside
Pros: A wonderful old place with so many thoughtful extras - water available in the hallways, coffee point, games and books in the lounge/library areas. and a help yourself bar facility. Our hosts were lovely too
Pros: A beautiful historic building has been restored and modernised extremely well an D doubtless at great cost and that made it a delight to visit. It is elegant, spacious and a lovely reflection of te Moorish history of the town.
Cons: More fresh fruit at breakfast would be nice.
Pros: The gentleman owner did his best to make our stay as special as possible by bringing treats out to the pool and terrace. The 'honesty' bar was handy.
Cons: We booked the Superior Room which wasn't very....'superior'. You would struggle to describe it as having the advertised balcony. It was more of open doors onto a rail, and road and housing opposite. The room did not have a hairdryer or minibar and was a bit on the small side. Lunch and evening meal we understood were only provided on advanced request, and parking was on the road outside (€4.50 charge for eggs at breakfast!) All in all, we had the impression of a quirky guesthouse rather than a 4* hotel. Nice village but not a huge amount there other than a few bars which in fairness, were very hospitable, and thankfully served food.
Pros: The swimming pool
Cons: Breakfast more than poor
Pros: good casa, safe place bicycle, garden, good Spanish breakfast. Pity I coul not stay longer. very helpful Maria
Cons: no wifi in my casa, if I were the owner I would buy few lying chairs in garden to really relax

Pros: Hotel: Easy to locate using GPS. Staff: Welcoming, cheerful and check-in was quickly carried out. Room: Large, clean, comfortable and contained a fridge. Bed: Firm but comfortable. Car park: Free and on site. Good for motorway access. We will happily stay in this Hotel again.
Cons: Internet was quite slow. Extra pillows would have been welcome.
Pros: Where it is situated, parking
Pros: EVERYTHING! Grupo LEO offers the perfect combination of hospitality. They truly are in business to do business. This was the most superlative imaginable two-night stay! We look forward to more stays under the LEO umbrella! They think of it all, in just the right way.
Cons: Nothing. I was all perfect!
Pros: Location close to motorway and very queit
Pros: The hotel was modern (much nicer than its pictures on-line), and our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Although the hotel was busy (it seems to be popular with hikers and cyclists), noise was not a problem. We were just passing through Monesterio, so didn't explore much, but the location was walkable to a number of modest restaurants (we really enjoyed our dinner, though I unfortunately don't remember the name of the restaurant). As I discovered on my morning run, you don't have to go far to find yourself in beautiful, rural scenery. A special thank you to the staff at the front desk for their helpfulness. Although I was trying to use my Spanish, the person on duty spoke excellent English. We'd run out of toothpaste and he found a tube for us in the hotel's gift store (which mainly carries jamon iberico and other food items from the region). The lobby level cafe was a nice place for a cup of coffee or a drink.
Cons: It's not a picturesque property in a glamorous location, but we weren't expecting that. Absolutely no complaints - it met our needs perfectly.
Pros: Ideal for motorists looking for an overnight stop. Inexpensive, with everything you really need.
Cons: Cafeteria was noisy and busy
Pros: It is a very modern small hotel with great facilities and staff - Toni went out of his way to make sure I enjoyed my stay. The Bar/Restaurant was constantly in use by the local Spanish people giving it a good atmosphere! I made use of the free underground parking If you are travelling South or North on this route- I would thoroughly recommend using this hotel. I was so made to feel welcome!!
Cons: Nothing not to like!
With a stay at Hotel Rural la Fontanilla, you'll be centrally located in Fregenal de la Sierra, 25.2 mi (40.5 km) from Plaza Grande and 8.1 mi (13.1 km) from Sierra de Aracena National Park. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk.
Cons: We arrived in 38 degree's of heat, booking in was not easy as only spanish spoken, there was a fan in the room set on very slow and no air conditioning, so our night was very hot and difficult to sleep. The hotel can't control the weather, but they can provide air conditioning. There was no staff when we arrived at 3 pm and after booking in there was no staff on the premises.
Pros: Very peaceful stay and the room was pleasantly cool. Very nice lady to greet us. Easy to park right outside.
Cons: It is a small thing, the bed was quite noisy so when one of us moved the other was woken up. But this would not be a problem for everybody!
Pros: The bed is comfortable and there was a lovely big bath in the room, with plenty of hot water.
Cons: The place needs a really good clean! For the price I'd expect a kettle in the room really, some kind of hot drink facility. Also, there was never anyone in the hotel.
Pros: Friendly Old World rural Spain with wonderful breakfast and quirky showers.

Just 2 km from the hotel, Fregenal Train Station offers regular links to Zafra and Huelva. Badajoz and Seville are around a 90-minute drive away. Free private parking is available on site.
Pros: Breakfast was a piece of toast and a cup of coffee .
Cons: Bed hard, room cold, wifi useless. Do not stay on a Monday night because both bar and restaurant are closed for the night.
Pros: Style of the hotel is very spanish and friendly, not much English though.
Cons: Everywhere is very dark and makes the place dismal. Breakfast poor. Needs an overhaul. Had to change rooms to an influx of ants.
Pros: Didn't really know what to expect, just wanted a light meal. Great local grub. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, good English and they put up with my poor Spanish with good humour.
Cons: The soap dispenser had leaked into the bath making it slippery. Good grab handle to compensate. Also, had to ask Reception to turn on the heating master switch. Worked fine once they did.
Pros: Beds were very comfortable.
Cons: Car parking a bit limited.
Pros: As always we had had a great stay, the staff are always friendly and very helpful. They endure my awful Spanish and have no end of tips and encouragment to teach me more. If you ever get the chance to visit Spain and when I say that I mean the “Real Spain” this would be a great base to begin your adventure
Pros: Personnel was very attentive and kind, rooms were very comfortable, breakfast ( included in the fare) was delicious
Cons: The owner would like to substitute personnel at the reception by a machine. In such a village, you do not expect such an impersonal welcome. Fortunately the machine was out of order
Pros: WE do not speak Spanish but found no problem in being understood Staff were helpful and the town centre which is only 10 mins walk from the hotel was interesting
Cons: The dinner in the hotel, whilst cheap was not very good.
Pros: separate radio
Cons: self check-in at machine, only if problems check-in at reception; breakfast in bar (included in room price) at lowest level: 1 tostada, butter, jam, 1 orange juice, 1 cup of coffee, only on second mornig + 1 croissant; only one chair; TV only a few channels and reception interference; poor wifi
With a stay at Hotel Moya in Monesterio, you'll be a 4-minute walk from Museum of Jamon Iberico and 14 minutes by foot from Municipal Pool. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: For the price it was very good
Cons: Bath very very small. WiFi in room no good couldn't connect. to far from signal
Pros: The room was clean and the staff member at the check in desk was nice.
Cons: The airconditioning was shut down at night which made sleeping very uncomfortable and difficult (the rooms were very warm). The wifi only worked at the check in desk, in the rooms it did not work.
Pros: We have really much appreciated the room as it was very clean and tidy with clean towels Beds are ok Air conditioning at night but switch off at very early morning so it was quite hot then The hotel is around 5 minutes from the motorway so it is very practical for a night stop People seems rude at first but that just the way they are as they were much nicer after a while of talking
Cons: Forget breakfast and just go accros the road for it it’s perfect We had eggs and salad at dinner, very nice but price are quite high for simple food

Cons: Mostly unhelpful and not very friendly staff.

Pros: Clean and Comfortable - with very helpful and courteous staff. I realise I stayed in Hostal DP El Pilar in November - but the room I got was cold. When I brought the matter to the attention of the front desk - he was unable to fix the lack of heat, but did give me an extra warm blanket, which was very helpful and solved the problem (Thank you).
Cons: Cold Room
Pros: good location, reasonable price.
Cons: the bed and shower are small.
