With a stay at Hôtel d'Angleterre in Arreau, you'll be a 5-minute walk from Church of Saint Exupere and 8 minutes by foot from Eagles of Aure. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Arreau is an excellent mid way point if exploring the Pyranees. Well appointed room and a lovely view up the hill at the back of the hotel. I had requested gluten free options at breakfast and they were most accommodating with gluten free bread I could toast and bacon and eggs. The chef also adapted the duck main course at dinner to be made without gluten. Delicious!
Cons: Everything was exceptional. The possibility of a small bar fridge would help with food items we had with us.
Pros: Super cute, very comfortable
Pros: The lady on reception was super helpful sorting out where to store a bike and also swapping rooms so we could have a later checkout. She also stayed late to meet us.
Cons: Pool didn’t look that inviting
Pros: I booked this place for my friends’ honeymoon and they were absolutely delighted with their stay. The staff were amazing the location was ideal. It was great.
Cons: Nothing! This place was absolutely ideal for their honeymoon. I would recommend this place absolutely !
Pros: Lovely room and comfy beds. Great secure storage room for bikes with a few tools. Nice garden. Good restaurant with nice outside eating area. Good parking.
Cons: Wifi in hotel generally weak and slow even downstairs near reception. Very poor in room.
Pros: Wondeful location, pretty village. Very good food in the restaurent. On site parking
Cons: It was all very nice, I’d happily return in the future
Pros: Arreau was a very charming town, and this hotel was a great place to enjoy it. Our trip involved hopping from place to place across southern France. Our room had a lovely view of part of the town and surrounding countryside. Restaurant stayed open a little late for us (I had called the desk earlier in the day that we'd be arriving after 9) and we had a delicious dinner in the courtyard. Breakfast was quite good as well - typical array in a French hotel of croissants and several other options. Really enjoyed our (too brief!) visit to Arreau and the Hotel d'Angleterre!
Pros: Location - the village was beautiful. The food at the hotel was also very good.
Pros: We have been in this hotel before. That's the reason we chose to stay here again. We like the breakfast and the fact that they have parking and it's centrally located. Easy walk to everything in town.
When you a stay at Hôtel du Val d'Aure in Cadeac, you'll be in the mountains, just steps from Church of Cadeac and Pene-Taillade Chapel. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Comfortable, rustic accommodation.
Cons: Nothing in particular.
Pros: As others have commented the food here was excellent. The evening meal was very good and the breakfast selection amazing, homemade and beautifully done. The bedroom and its shower room reflected the age of the hotel but the peace and calm of the area made up for any shortfall.
Pros: Breakfast was very good, huge variety of homemade items. Restaurant was very good. The gentleman serving us in the restaurant was delightful and could not have done anymore for us.
Cons: The sign telling guests not to make a picnic from the breakfast buffet was rather intimidating. The manager hovered around to make sure we didn’t.
Pros: Ideally situated for cycling and walking in this beautiful area
Pros: Evening meal was superb.
Pros: Breakfast is amazing, besides the "usual" (maybe not that usual tho) cold meats, cheese, cereals, etc, thaey have some home made cakes, and that banana & chocolate mix... well, they were yummy... homemade food is always a winner!! And yep, croissants were extremely taste as well, above all if you are an early morning person and get to them when they are still warm
Pros: The location was beautiful. For the age of the hotel building we feel the owners have done a very good job in presenting the rooms. The bar/ restaurant area was very welcoming. The bedrooms were adequate, clean and comfortable. Continental Breakfast was excellent a good variety of products. There was a limited evening menu but the food was very good. Staff were very friendly and professional. An excellent location for an overnight stop. We would stay again when in the area.
Cons: Nothing, every thing was ok
