Surprizingly quiet and comfortable. Lovely setting and pleasant bar area.
near most hiking trails in the Monte Cinto area
Quiet hotel; friendly and helpful staff
Beutiful hotel and good location in central Clavi. The breakfast is a bit expensive... but very good compaired to other french hotels.
Everything was great, friendly staff, the view from the balcony, peaceful. Guests should be advised that the tv in the rooms only have France 1,2,3 and not satelite, which is available but in the main bar area. Also just to let guests know, the pertrol pump has been moved to the other side of the hotel a little out of the way, perhaps the owners should update there photo's
Beautiful vue of the terrasse on the mountains, excellent stay if you want to hike in the mountains.Room is clean, nothing fancy but ok.
extremly friendly owners, clean pretty rooms with mountains view, free parking and wi-fi - everithing was wonderful.
location, breakfast, furnishings, cleanliness gas station in front of hotel
Madame was easily amongst the most cheerful, friendly and obliging hoteliers that we met on this holiday. The room we had was bright and cheerful and the hotel is a lively meeting place for local people. There is a garage attached and they were very helpful about a minor problem with our hire car. The immediate surroundings aren't particularly attractive
Very good for excursions in the surrounding mountains. Simple hotel, but with very good relation between price and offered services. Very nice to have breakfast on the terrace. For the 2 of us it was a good base for our mountain trips. Most of the staff does not speak English or other foreign languages.
Nice people, localtion, value for money, nothing
electricity system problem, suddenly shut down three times!
Excellent location, easy parking, clean simple rooms, friendly staff, good value. Decor and buildings a little weary.
nice location, big and nice room for resonable price, very quiet even durring windy day and storm hotel from outside looks old fashion but anyway inside is more important
A very good hotel. Clean, pool, great location, parking... We will return. -
Room spotless and well equiped. Staff extremely helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
went on walks in the mountains and used different restaurants in town each night
Very new rooms, nice area, nice parking. Possible to check in when after the opening hours. Mail 'em. Elevator didn't work, Airco didn't work, No information about the area or activity's
Thanks for nice Time
Modern ,spacious , clean ,easy to find , view of the mountains
The studio was just right to stay two nights and make some trips in the mountains. The small kitchwen facility allows preparation of a meal what is very helpfull for young children traveling.
Staff member gave helpful directions about walking route into centre of town. Free parking Apppearance of hotel more like an apartment block; very plain
Newly-built apartment, appears to be student accommodation but very quiet, all mod cons provided.
Good base for walking in the mountains and eating in different restaurants every night
Accomodation was relatively quiet and at discount price of 200 euros for 7 nights was good value for money for a solo traveller. Ensuite facilities were small but functional and of reasonable quality. These facilities could possibly have been larger.
Everything (minibar would be ++)
Swimming pool open all day long Narrow car park
A beautiful facility in a magnificent setting. The staff was unfailingly courteous and helpful.
The atmosphere no
I found the hotel friendly, humerous and helpful. Although the restaurant was not open I was provided with a lovely snack especially welcome as I had a long day getting there
Excellent location and good value. Free Wi-Fi and modern, clean rooms. Breakfast is located in the restaurant downstairs. Our a/c didn't work, but there was a fan. The restaurant where breakfast is served is not up to the standard of the hotel.
The twin room was modern, spacious, nice and the outside street noice was kept out very well. The shower was great. The outside and entrance of the hotel are old and dark.
Although the place seems a little strange at first, it is quite conforable and good. The room was spacious and the location of the hotel is very good. Small warderobe, small sheets.
The hotel is in the centre of cote and very handy for visiting the sites of corte and its surroundings. The room was well appointed and clean. The breakfast was good and has to be taken at the adjoing bar/cafe. There is no car parking at the hotel and you eother have tp park in a public car park or find street parking. The hotel staff were helpful in identifying this.
Location Absence of lift; entrance to the building where the hotel is located (at the first floor) is a bit neglected
The room and the bathroom was clean and comfortable. The location and the panorama was very good. I liked the room and the view from it. The region is very nice.
Great value for money. Wonderful position with view straight down the valley.
This small hotel had a stunning view over the mountains and hills, it is perfect if you are looking for a calm place away from crowds and in the middle of nature (the area is recommended to hikers and mountain-lovers). The rooms were clean, quite simple yet new and with a fresh look. There is no Reception but most of the time there is staff at the small bar (make sure you check in during the day or arrange with them if you plan to arrive late!). Staff was friendly and kind. Good value for money. A car/motorcycle is needed in this region. We didn't like the fact that there was no fridge-minibar, but being a simple hotel in a tiny mountain village it is rather normal. Mostly, we were deceived that our request at reservation for a quiet room wasn't really fulfilled (we were given the room next to the bar and stairs and at 8:00 AM people would come down to have breakfast- not without noise). Since hotel was full, we saw no reason in complaining and asking to change room...
Having to walk 700 metres up to the village to eat every night.
The best 2stars hotel which I've ever seen. There are excellent design-style large rooms with large wc and beautiful sight from the windows, Friendly staff. check in untill 7pm
The view of the bay from the hotel is enjoyable, but the real "bella vista" is the mountains the hotel guests can see from their room windows. They are simply magnificent. The restaurant serves quite good food withtout costing too much.
Excellent caring, considerate, helpful Staff Very good room, but a bath would have been nice Good breakfast Useful to have free internet access Very clean everywhere Difficult to find the hotel as it was not in Porto Cervo, as advertised, but the hotel was in a nice residential location close to Port Cervo It was unfortunate that building work was taking place opposite the hotel
The location was excellent and the hotel well decorated and spotless. Welcoming staff.
loveley hillside location.room good breakfast good parking good.good view
Recently refurbished Distance from port area - did not appreciate when booking too far to walk. Breakfast quite expensive and would probably have gone elsewhere if somewhere in walking distance.
I liked that the staff could communicate in English. Wireless internet in reception. To many stairways.
Wonderful food : excellent breakfast and very nice dinner The bedding was not very comfortable
Charming helpful staff None
Its well named- the views are beautiful. The colours on the rocks as the sun sets are extraordinary and you can watch them while you eat very well in the hotel's restaurant. The bedroom of the suite has np window although it does have a glass door into the adjoining room which does. The terrace has the potential to be really attractive but was weedy and unkempt when we were there. The web site does mention that its not in the village but its further away than we anticipated - a long walk in fact- and although we did get parked in the small area later guests had to park on the narrow and busy main road
The hotel does not look like a hotel from outside. Its entrance is not much different from a typical apartment in any of old European cities. But it is a real hotel--you will know it once you step into the lobby. The rooms have been renovated (or simply new) and very clean. The breakfast costs only one euro each person, quite unusual for hotels in France. The location is also good. The hotel is in the old district of the town, and every part of Corte is within a short walking distance. Parking can be a problem, but there is a large indoor parking facility nearby if you can't find a spot right in front of the hotel.
Very helpful and friendly staff
Scenic location and confotable designed villa. Staff had very good hosipitality.
It was close enough to Corte that we could there very easily, and yet escape to this charming quaint little town afterwards, The owner was extremely helpful, and very busy at the same time, and always very friendly. Delightful breakfasts were served to us on our small patio by him, and each of the little cottages afforded a great deal of privacy. The bathrooms were very tastefully decorated and very comfortable for showering, something not necessarily common in southern Europe.
It was actually perfect, spent a great week! The WiFi could be stronger. And cheese for breakfast.:))))
The hotel - which consists of several detached houses - lies among trees, and has the image of a forest hotel. Very romantic, and surprisingly comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Not easy to find, and by big car getting to the hotel and parking might be difficult. Not recommended for handicapped people, as long and steep stairs connect the houses and the parking lot.
The owner was most helpful and the breakfast was generous and just right. The setting is unique. We ate on he mini-balcony, and although it was cold, the sense of being surrounded by close-up high mountains, in a tiny perched village, was unique. It's not a villa at all. Actually, 5 or 6 very small, unfinished stone cottages. They are badly built, the walls were sweating, the floor wet. The toilet is micro-size, and there are virtually no amenities. The price, 65 Euro/per night, is way too high for this location, so little comfort, and in January. Very perilous road getting there. Also, did not like having to pay through PayPal because the translation into dollars raised the cost another 3%.
Nice staff and atmosphere !
Very nice setting with nice views of the mountains. Very friendly and helpul owner. Parking was a bit limited at the hotel but there were spaces in the village not that far away so not a big problem.
