The restaurant is based on the local cuisine, very good and they serve big portions. The owner must has a private comment: very honest and always available to help us plan our tour.

Pros: Amazing peaceful location on the island of Santiago. Lovely rooms with nice view on the sea. Lovely owner and very good food.
Cons: Not much really. The road is a bit difficult to get there. But that's normal in a remote location like this
Pros: Secluded location with great beach view
Cons: A little difficult to find.
Pros: We liked everything. Brilliant hosts in a very special location if you're looking forward to relax. We had an undistracted view onto the sea through our french doors which were open from morning until night. No road, no cars just the sound of the ocean. This place was beyond our expectations with comfortable and clean beds and bedding. After a few excursions to some busier and touristy places on Santiago island it was a delight to come back to this oasis of peace and calm.
Cons: There is absolutely nothing we didn't like.

Pros: Local dinner with traditional show music and dance "Batuku de Santiago" , big breakfast. Good food.Staff very friendly and helpful .
Cons: The soundproofing of the rooms.
Pros: Fabulous host. She puts so much effort in, that I hope it's a success
Cons: We found the beds very short and not very comfortable but they're being upgraded shortly so we were told.
Pros: Great place to stay, well located, friendly staff and dinners at the hotel are delicious!
Pros: Great Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice rooms very clean hearty breakfast. Good Location to do hiking in the Serra Malagueta with or without a Guide . We really loved the Dinner as it was always a combination of traditional capverdian dishes sometimes with a french twist in it. Overall a great cultural experience!! Merci a vous!
Pros: What an incredible place is this! Near to nature and lots of good opportunities to hike, just from the house or a little further (serra malagueta, boa entrada), all very near to the place. Also i would like to mention the food, that was just fantastic! And last but not least, the staff are very kind and helpful!
Cons: Absolutely nothing
Pros: My husband and I loved our stay at cote de France. Magila and her staff were very helpful. Magila can provide lots of information about the the national park and getting around. It was great to be able to get a picnic to take with us on our hike. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. It was very quiet so we slept well.
Cons: We would love to have stayed longer!
Pros: The staff are wonderful and considerate. They dealt with my spouse's allergies and helped arrange outings. The dining room and other shared spaces are arranged to encourage guests to interact with one another. The breakfasts and dinners are excellent. Hikes in the gorges near by and in the national park to the north (both guided by Zegue) are well worth the effort.
Cons: An excursion on a boat from the village near by can be skipped without missing out. Hiking and or driving to points of interest are better uses of one's time!
Pros: There are many reasons to stay in Cote de France! First of all, it is close to Serra Malagueta national park, which is 8-9 km away. You can take a local minibus (aluguer) and in 10 min you will be at the entrance to the park! If you like hiking and trekking, Serra Malagueta is the place to go on Santiago island. If you need a guide, the team in Cote de France can find one, who can show the park. If you need any help, Magali (the manager) and her team will be happy to assist. Magali thoroughly explained how to get to the B&B with public transport or taxi. All team members are very friendly and doing their best to make your vacation remarkable. On the day of arrival I have got 2 thick booklets about the B&B and about the area around Cote de France. You can find a lot of useful information in there. If you feel going out, you can go to Assomada, which is not far away. If you are thinking, where to have dinner, my recommendation is to stay at the villa! You get an amazing dinner for 9€! I liked all 3 courses! Appetizer (entrée) - ressois (fried dumplings with tuna), main course - massa - a dish with chicken, banana, rice, round dumplings and tasty sauce; dessert - ice cream with caramelized coconut chips! My room was not big but nicely decorated and had everything I needed. The villa has a terrace on the second floor with a chilling corner, where you can have relax time with a book or taking sun bath.
Pros: Magali and her team where so lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was big, clean with a good shower. The location from the house is perfect to do some hiking. You don't need a rental car, you can easily move with the aluguers. It's possible to have dinner at cote de france and we highly recommend it. The food was delicious! Of course the breakfast too - homemade bread and juice. Thank you again for the lovely stay, we really enjoyed it! Nina & David
