Location :) The hotel staff seemed quite bored and was not that friendly. Also once we happened to receive towels with holes which for a 3star hotel seemes unacceptable... Also WiFi didn't work in our room... But the most funny thing was the bed!Two single beds put together pretending a double! How is that for a honeymoon?:)))
friendly staff and free internet service.
Friendly helpful staff - a homely feel - we loved the dog called Whisky There was nothing we did not like. Breakfast could have been a little more substantial.
ideal position, friendly staff, nice breakfast first room was of very poor standard, it was more like a hostel room - broken fridge, musty smell, in need of updating very 1960/70s style
Friendly staff, central location was good. Bed was too soft and therefore had a huge "hole" in the middle. Made it terrible to sleep in.
Freindly and confortable close to town centre A little dated
The view from the balcony is lovely. The bed is comfortable. The following comments were made after a stay when the hotel was basically empty and half-shut for the winter which may account for some of the experience: The reception area is gloomy and unwelcoming. The bathroom needs immediate attention - broken tiles, very grotty indeed. The bar is a playroom and toy store - not a place you'd want to/can relax in. The restaurant overpriced for the standard of the food served. I am sure this is a fine hotel in summer. In autumn it's pretty desperate.
This hotel is associated with a gourmet dining room. We were blown away by the meal.
Very nice surroundings and nice room (bit small though). Not that we didn't like the food at the restaurant, but we did think it was overpriced.
We had a wonderful evening meal in a beautiful setting. The food, including a number of delightful amuse-bouches, was excellent and the service pleasant and attentive - improvising a footrest for my recovering broken ankle. It was not surprising that the restaurant gradually filled up. We lingered over our meal and then went straight up to our room to enjoy the marvellous views.
