The location and the views from the room The food was not particularly good nor was the dining room service
the hotel bar was quite nice The service was terrible and the staff were not very accomodating. Very bad customer service.
Exactly what we were looking for, reasonable, cost effective, suited us
Well located good rooms food in restaurant good
Extremely good location with more than adequete facilities. small beers are tiny beers!
Excellent and friendly staff, particularly so in the cafeteria. Good value for money. A short walk (10 min) to the town centre/beach area. Nothing of any consequence.
Friendly staff and original interior design together with excellent cuisine Would have liked to stay longer!
An excellent hotel in a peaceful setting with fantastic views. Rooms very comfortable and spacious.
The room was of the highest quality and we enjoyed the location for a casual stroll to the town
The general appearance and ambience. Also the friendliness of all the staff. N/A
Seaside and the room
We found it very relaxing with not much to do. However we did enjoy long walks along the sea front. Other than the hotel there were few good restaurants. Restricted access to the swimming pool
Outstanding views and location. Was a quiet time of the year so not many people about which suited us. Meals seemed expensive there but otherwise fine
Nice, modern, well equiped hotel in a good location on the beach. I dislike that smoking still continues within the hotel's internal areas.
Relaxing with lovely views. Rooms very comfortable with excellent air con/heating. Friendly bar. TV channels disappointing
Very good hotel, very nice rooms, good breakfast, nice beach location, private parking. No complaints.
Close to the beach with nice views from the room window (which was openable). At a rather dead end of town and difficult to find because of lack of signage coming into town.
The actual room was very good. La Taberna seemed to be the only place that provided 4 star service and acceptable food. General state of hotel maintenance, door hinge ready to fall off. Glass revolving door with broken glass held together with boxing tape. Main pool dirty, made more obvious by the indoor pool beside it being clean. Pool drinks service extremely slow, we got the impression that they simply did not want to serve drinks at the pool. Food in main restaurant very poor.
The ambience, quality of the food and the cost very few of the staff could speak English
Helpfulness of staff. Although it was the chefs day off and the restaurant was closed the staff went out of their way to provide us with a tasty supper. The hotel definitely needs to rethink the given directions. We did not find it at all easy to locate. The hotel is not situated as declared in Puerto de Mazarron (which sounds appealing). It is in truth in Bolnuevo. Had we known this it would have saved us three quarters of an hour of fruitless searching at the end of a tiring and lengthy days drive. Local signing was none existent and should be addressed immediately.
thoughtfull design catering for all nationalities. Good position Address sent was incomplete so difficult to find.Restaurant closed for refurb.
Contemporary decor/boutique style. Complete absence of a pool in a high temperature environment is a negative. Roof solarium would benefit from being developed a place to go where you could sunbathe, get some shade and "cool down". Also a drinks service would be an big benefit.
The hotel was very nice. New, boutique style, clean and comfortable. The only thing was the beds were a little hard and there was just one sheet on the bed. I was cold, but when i asked for a blanket, i got one immediately. The staff were very nice and you go next door to a really nice little cafe for breakfast - the breakfast is fantastic. you have a choice and its really pleasant. If i go back to this village (which is Bolnuevo - about 5min drive from mazzaron - we thought we were initially staying in mazzaron as that is what the site led us to believe, but it was fine as the little fishing village of Bolnuevo is really nice, has plenty of restaurants and is very short distance to Mazzaron. The food in teh hotel is also really good - a little bit more expensive (22-27 for 3/4 course meal per person) but is really tasty and worth it. there's also a great place on the beach for paella and lunch.
Clean modern facilities, friendly staff and excellent cuisine.
Beautiful, small family run hotel with lovely, large, unusual, well decorated rooms and bathrooms. A real hidden gem, will definately go back again. no, everything was perfect.
very clean & comfortable small hotel with personal service breakfast prepared to order in cafe next to hotel
Comfortable, stylish, relaxed, friendly. Staff, particularly Emannuel, attentive and flexible to accommodate our every need.
Excellent small hotel, all the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms a big and have full facilties and even tea and coffee making facilities (very unusual in Spain) All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return there again some time in the future.
The staff, the food, the kitchenette/living room corner in the room, proximity to the sea, walking possibilities, nice balcony, breakfast, recommended restaurant (although closed unfortunately during our January stay). Not really but noise carries a lot in the building because of the shape of it
The Excellent sea views from the window and balcony. The balcony was safe for a young child. The cleanliness of the rooms and friendly efficient staff. The room furniture was dated and basic. However it was adequate for our needs. The family room was very near to reception and voices woke the baby up in the morning.
restaurant and staff very good room could have been bigger with tea making facility
Being near sea and promenade
Close to beach. We asked for a double room but were given a room with two single beds
Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was no restaurant cafeteria or bar open, no live entertainment we wouldnt have spent 1 night if our arrival was earlier. My husband is in a wheel chair it was unbelievable, no offer of assistance, we had to get a taxi into the centre to get something to eat and drink, there was no tea making facilities in the room and then the following morning we were charged full rate! On arrival the hotel appeared in darkness. The receptionist spoke no english or any other language other than spanish as far as we could ascertain. She had a wriiten message telling us we could only stay until Sunday 23rd rather than Monday 24th March as we had booked. This also informed that an email had been sent advising us of this fact we have yet to recieve the email. The time was around 10pm
very quiet,car parkinggood
Very clean and friendly
clean room.friendly staff. rooms too small with 3 beds and a cot.
Easy check in, Good continental breakfast. Plenty of hot water, although rather slow running in the sink. Car parking outside. Bit difficult to find without detailed map.
The room was basic but generally acceptable. Communication was difficult due to us not being able to speak Spanish, but we considered this our problem rather that the Hotel staff. However we did manage. The room we were in (101) was noisey, when it rained the running water would keep you awake and the walls fairly thin so we could clearly hear noisey neighbours.
Very close walking distance to the seafront, excellent resturante. Family run and very friendly. Good free parking. Rooms a little small and general hotel surroundings are a little unpleaseant at first impression but absolutly not problems.
Excellent location, right on the beach. Immediate surrounding area somewhat run down. Adjacent building (previous shopping centre?) boarded up, vandalised amd covered in spray paint.i
It was old, but clean. The price was very good.
great location, direct access to two lovely beaches. Plenty of space in the hotel and the surrounding area. Hotel very quiet. breakfast was dreadful. Why do hotels never learn?
Hotel Bahia was clean, easily accessable and the staff were excellent. I would definately recommend this hotel The only improvement would be to have fans/aircon in the lounge/bar area
All very quiet until local expat Lions invaded and spoilt the tranquility
stayed one night only
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alboron very much indeed. The staff were very helpful & curtious. Drapes were hanging off the pole in places ,
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was excellent right on the beach. The beach was very clean and quiet. nothing
Good food in the restaurant. Staff helpful and competent. Adequate comfort. Excellent location for us. The lounge area on roof was not operating during our stay.
Good large comfortable beds; very clean room and good bathroom. Our child stayed for free. Good breakfast available. Faulty hair-dryer in room. Swimming pool unusable.
Well furnished room - comfortable public areas. Exceptionally good value fixed price, four course meal with wine for two in dining room. Very hard beds!! Poorly signposted and difficult to find. Had to find maid to get basic items like toilet rolls. Some basic maintenance needed in bathroom - loose basin tap and toilet seat.
Great food, very relaxed. Good size pool and sun deck also lots of areas to get away from the sun The room was clean but not as clean as it should have been, hair on the bathroom floor, but the worst part of the room was the bed, it was like sleeping on a rock. I have stayed in other hotels in spain and they wear fine. My friends stayed in to other rooms on other floors and their beds wear the very same.
Quiet, well specified, clean, free wi-fi Totally dead at this time of year. No restaurant during the week, telepizza delivery only
Staff were very friendly and helpful;hotel virtually empty and getting ready for the season. Restaurant closed for two of our four days.Very hard matrasses!
