Pros: Staff was very friendly, we loved the nice room, and the food was amazing. The place is perfect if you're hiking on the Via Francescano. We especially loved the schiacciate!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly and attentive.
Cons: The building is nearly 200 years old so the walls are thin, and the floors creak. Plus sound carries through from the bar below. However, this was not a problem as it is very quiet at night.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant is excellent and the surrounding magical! You should go there. Walk into the woods, visit the monastry and the antique farmacie.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location for us on our walk. Very helpful staff.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Historic old hotel across from the monastery; Nice lively atmosphere at dinner and breakfast. It was a snowy day in May (!) and they had a fire in the fireplace. Super helpful staff- we were hiking and had to re-route bc of the snow and they helped with transport, etc
Cons: The rooms are rather spartan- but charming (I liked this but some may not agree)

9.5 Excellent
Pros: I loved this hotel. The rooms are so atmospheric. There are lovely wooden floors and doors and old lamps and the hall and the staircase are beautiful and unspoiled. Our room was a bit like a monk's cell with lovely simple furniture and shutters. It's not luxurious but it's beautifully simple and cosy. I really enjoyed my stay in Camaldoli - it's a special place. The staff were great - really helpful and friendly. I'd love to go back.
Cons: I liked it all.

5.5 Okay
Cons: The owner smoked in his building. The place is old and tired.
5.8 Okay
Pros: clean
Cons: it was cold in the room, they refused to turn on the heating.
4.5 Okay
Pros: When I booked it said the room had a privat "bagno". That is not really a "bagno". The shower is over the toillet bowl. There is not even a curtain. Besides not having enough space all the bathroom got wet. And the window did not have a decent curtain although it was facing the street.
Cons: Smells badly all around. The towers were suposed to have been washed but had a tough smell.
6.3 Good
Cons: Room could have been warmer. The heating didn’t come on until 5 pm however we were provided with a little fan heater in the meanwhile. It was difficult to find staff to assist us on arrival and again when we were enquiring about the heating.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location was good for town and hiking trails.
Cons: Shocking bathroom, old beds
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff welcoming, made us comfortable. We could not speak Italian however one staff person spoke perfect English and was a great help to us. Would stay here again.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: If you want to escape and relax from the hustle and bustle everyday life, Albergo Giardino in Badia Prataglia in Tuscany is the perfect place for you. Owners and stuff of the hotel create a very family atmosphere full of tranquility as well as a lot of smile that shows that you are welcome. The hotel offers everything you need to have a great base camp for exploring wonderful nature as well as historic sites of this area. There is a church dating back to the 8th century just across the road surrounded by a park with trees such as Sequoia and Douglas fir. Moreover, hotel is in the centre of the village and the bus stop is in a distance of a few steps.
Cons: I have found what I expected. A pleasant atmosphere and a nice approach of the owners are a bonus. Sergio will help you to practice your Italian and Julietta speaks excellent English. OK, the hotel is not a five star hotel, but you went to the nature, right? I felt very well. Plus WiFi works really well. So to summarize, there is nothing I would describe that I did not like. I enjoyed the food and my stay in overall.
