Conveneient, friendly staff and excellent town.
Staff were excellent, polite, informative, interested.
The evening meal was simple but very good and fair price.Rooms very clean. in quiet area as requested. Rooms rather old and tired and very small. A/c did not work on warm night. ( Clearly unservicable for some time). B and b was expensive for quality of hotel.
Good location, clean, comfortable, silently, friendly staff. Free private parking just in front our room. Near the city turistic attractions: Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Avignon. Nothing.
Convenient location and very good restaurant facilities
A very fresh hotel; rooms were of the standard we would expect and breakfast was excellent, and at dinner it was well represented and extremely high degree of food presentation and cooking with excellent humour from good staff. Nothing to dislike
Very conveniently located close to the off-ramp of the Autoroute, nice hotel with parking spaces right in front of the rooms (Motel-style), good breakfast, good restaurant
It was easy to find off the motorway. The Staff were very friendly, and the rooms were updated, and clean. Good Blow Dryer too! Only that I don't think the Aircon was working in our room.
Very good location, "near to everything". Fine breakfast.
The position to tourist attractions was good.Good eating for night meals around hotel. The market outside the door on a Thursday was a bonus
The hotel was very comfortable, well decorated and furnished. Although the buffet breakfast was generous and varied, some fresh fruit would be welcome. They need to ensure that the taxi firms they contact on behalf of guests are reliable.
The staff was very good, they took the time to tell us whatever we wanted to know. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The parking on the street was very easy and the access to the highway was very good. Excellent location. The bathroom was ok but the shower stall was small and the door didn't work well. The free WIFI was a problem for the three days that we were there but the owner tried to rectify the problem without success but he tried hard.He was having an expert in the day we left.
very helpful and informative staff; charming setting shower fixed on wall at 5ft.6ins high; I am 6ft.2ins..
Great Location, Very good service Small room, shower and plumbing very old!
friendly service, once you found the hotel pleasant, central location, clean rooms
Well laid out, up-to-date rooms, helpful staff, friendly environment, good parking available near by, good pricing, clean.
Very pleasant atmosphere. Staff helpful and kind. Relaxed and comfortable stay.
The staff was great! Very helpful especially about accommodating our late arrival and parking. Very friendly night and morning staff! statue at the front greeting guests
This is the poorest hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was dirty the whole hotel is in very poor condition and despite complaining no one offered to make any reduction in our bill I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
It was not too large(and therefore impersonal) so 'small & friendly'. Also an easy stroll into the city centre and I also enjoyed the rural walks from the hotel in the opposite direction. The breakfast was excellent value. We stayed 4 nights and would have liked a little more wardrobe space as we were attending a wedding. A set of drawers for shirts, socks and underwear instead of shelves would be better. Only one towel per person is inadequate and shampoo was not provided.
The location was very good since it was near the highway. Made it convenient to drive to other destinations.
Easy access, big parking lot, friendly staff, swimming pool (small but in good condition), restaurant and breakfast ample opening hours (7-10 am/pm). Restaurant prices high in comparison with room prices, poor breakfast, noisy air conditioning in room, small bathroom without hair dryer.
The room originally booked was substandard. However, with a small additional payment we were up-graded to a more acceptable room.
Great location, within walking distance to major tourist attractions and Roman ruins.
Friendly staff and comfortable room I thought the access to the hotel by car was a little 'tight'
Family-operated(probably) and welcoming hotel. Some parts are under renovation.
Breakfast was good in a pleasant courtyard Hotel is under substantial construction. It will be lovely when finished, but our room was very dated, and not good value for money.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was big and comfortable as was our bathroom. Great location. We would gladly stay here again. They were in the middle of some construction, but it really did not affect our stay.
Hotel receptionist was very helpful Decor needs updating
Friendly, helpful hotel staff.
location, older style atmosphere of hotel. Price-a bit expensive.
Very clean room in a delightful quaint setting yet we had all the most modern amenities. Very good breakfast.
Handy for station and not too far from town.
The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The garden and small pool were very peaceful and relaxing. Our room, a standard double, was very small. The bathroom was tiny and there was no light in the shower, or anywhere to put shampoo, shower gel etc.
It had a small swimming pool set in a private terrace. Also had secure parking. Noise from the train station opposite, however not too intrusive.
Friendly service, parking availability, and proximity to shopping and city sites without being in an overly-populated and busy area of town. It was a 15 minute walk to the city core, ten minutes to the Roman ruins. The hotel Owner was a pleasure to speak with and learn from. The attached restaurant was also good quality food and not overly expensive. Breakfast for 9 Euros was not worth it, and the closet bakery or market was a 15 minute walk away. With no mini bar (fridge) to keep juice or meats/cheese, there isn't much of an option for breakfast. Appreciating the fact that my visit was off-season, it was still a pain in the butt to have the front door of the hotel locked and front desk unattended during the day.
Easy to find because it was near the train station. It was clean and had a decent breakfast. Staff was helpful
It was quiet although near train station. Aircon worked fine. Not in the city center
The staff were very helpful and friendly, they even cooked us a steak when we arrived at the hotel one night after the kitchens had closed.
Very clean, very good food, helpful staff. Very good value. Door fittings rather poor, decor rather tired.
It was quiet It is in dire need of a full refurbishment and the pool area needs attention
Very nice facility, nice pool, good parking, friendly staff
No restaurant in hotel
A good location for exploring this area, the free internet access is great and they have a very nice pool and area. The beds were very uncomfortable (slept on the coils of the mattress really).
The pool was big and great for summer The general level of customer service - there were 'rules' written quite sternly and displayed everywhere. No air con or fan so it was difficult to sleep at night, and no fly screen to keep bugs out. Also booked a double room and got 2 single beds.
silence and quiet, fresh air, relaxation n/a
Service slow.Terace for which a premium was charged, dirty and unusable.
very good price/quality
The location , the staff and the food. The room was fine but minimal-less comfort than the quality of the restaurant would suggest but also was correctly priced
Helpfulness of staff
Nothing. Glass floor with a look at the cave. Staff could not help with internet connection (Internet had been stated on web). We never got it in fact. Poor English. No electricity sockets in the room. Fortunately we always have a t connector and used the fridge socket. Hotel is positioning itself as a gastronomical one but nothing exciting except the prices. We had a strong feeling of being overcharged for at least 30% for meals. Breakfast (very poor one): price was different from the published on Web. On the web it was 10/person they have charged 15. Robbery.
We like to stay in a gourmet place - the hotel is ok but the restaurent and the food is fantastic
Building was an old mill which has been well converted. As weather was good ate all meals in open courtyard under trees, which had expensive feel with good tables, directors chairs, canopys and shrub filled urns. Although hotel is in village and 5 miles from town car (hire) is essential. The open air restaurant was in front of hotel, sometimes diners can be heard quite late. As a top gourmet restaurant the food is expensive, especially with strong euro, e.g.min. £100 per night for 2. But one has choice to eat outside the hotel, although there is limited choice locally.
Fantastic location and views Service was a bit half hearted on occasions. Steep climb both to the hotel and within the hotel to the terrace.
Excellent service in peaceful surroundings with a superb menu.Room 7basic,(e.g. hairdryer non functioning, and drainage in shower caused flooding)but quite adequate
Very professionally run hotel with outstanding restaurant. There is a garden and pool. Easy access to touring the vineyards of the southern Rhone.
Location and proximity to ampitheatre, shops and restaurants. Availability of secure underground parking approx 400 yards away. Very uncomfortable nights stay with no air conditioning, no fridge in room, and no tea/coffee making facilities in room. Fan in room pretty ineffective. Difficulty of vehicular access.
Excellent reception, personalized greeting, good availability of staff
good locaton road noice when window was opened for freshair
After we found the hotel and walked up to our room with 25 kgs of lugage, we walked around the city and enjoyed. We must say, the best was the breakfast. Very good one. No
We really enjoyed our stay.
Great central location garage to store our bicycles very helpful staff One room had slight problem with constant flushing toilet
close to the centre parking far from the hotel
Terrific location, and the confiture at breakfast was homemade and to die for! Noise in courtyard from local brasserie.
Free internet, good location, friendly staff, best breakfast I had in France
The hotel has an excellent location, within the city center, very good place to stay while visiting the Orange. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Exactly what I was expecting. Everything was at least fine.
nice staff nice atmosphere room not very good for price AC totally insufficient
Beautiful castle setting with formal enclosed garden, pool and elegant public rooms and very good interesting food. The staff were attentive and pleasant. The 'standard' bed room however was small and expensive and the air conditioning which had broken down the previous week was not fixed during our 3 night stay though we were given a fan. In the end we slept with the windows open and the moonlight streaming in which was romantic if not entirely restful. The standard 'continental' breakfast in the hotel which is not available in the room covers 'american coffee' or tea but amazingly the hotel charges extra for cafe au lait for breakfast on top of the 19 euro per person breakfast charge This must be unique in France if not in the whole world so we didn't notice it until we got our bill and found seven cafe au lait listed (at 6 euros per cup) The receptionist did take some coffees off the bill when we expressed our surprise . However it left a poor impression and the hotel should change this policy
very clean -- very good service -- nice and friendly people -- very helpfull no
The staff was very friendly. The hotel is near the train station but quiet.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Nice bar and ambience. Handy for station. Bit of a walk to town.
First off, the staff at this hotel were excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful, couldn't ask for better. Some reviewers have complained about the 7 euro price for breakfast, but given the prices in Provence we found it reasonable. Fresh croissants and cheeses, cereal, hard boiled eggs coffee and juice were included. Nothing exotic, but given that a coffee typically sets you back 3 euros it was reasonable and everything was fresh. The hotel is located within walking distance of the old theatre, and free parking was easy enough to find beside the hotel (a few garage spots are available at a price if reserved). The hotel itself is older, and while some modernizing is apparent (bathrooms) it is still an older building and soundproofing isn't great. The pool and area were quite small. Make sure you ask for additional pillows before the front desk closes if you have a double room and don't want to share a single long pillow. While within walking distance of the city centre, it wasn't the most pleasant walk at night.
The famous terrace, where you can relaxe after your trips in the region. (We have wisited the hotel 3 or 4 times before)
Very nice french style hotel
The mother and daughter team were very pleasant and helpful. We would stay again because it was close to center. No it was a good value for the money
Staff were very kindly and friendly. The only problem is that they don't have an elevator there is not elevator
Conveniently positioned close to the town Noise form dogs in the hotel
Inexpensive, convenient location near major highway. Tiny room, tinier bathroom. Impossible to shower without flooding the floor. Poor lighting in room. Everything made of plastic. Breakfast room like a mess-hall at camp, with small round stools (from kindergarten) to sit on. Asked for extra pillow to sleep on; was told none was available. No lift.
The price was right. We paid 39€ for one night and we felt the hotel was adequate for our needs. No frills, but we weren't expecting much and didn't stay long. Just a place to rest our heads on a road trip. Bed was reasonably comfortable. The automatic reception is convenient, but a little confusing. You park your care at the gate and then walk inside and use your credit card from the booking, and they issue you a room key and parking code. Nice to have a gate around the parking area. Only two towels provided. Very small bathroom and the shower water easily can get all over the bathroom. There was one electric outlet in the room, and none in the bathroom. Note: If you select the triple room, the third bed is overhead like a bunk bead. And if you don't select the triple room, there is still a place for an overhead bunk bed; just no mattress and you don't get a third towel. Warning: the GPS coordinates for the hotel on Booking.com were incorrect. Took us to a dark dead-end road with no hotels on it. It was a little scary; luckily our GPS had the hotel in its database so we found it after that.
Really cheap, had all the basic necessities in the room, 15 minute walk to the center of town, towels included It is a completely a side of the road budget hotel and bathrooms are extremely small. You get what you pay for and it was really inexpensive.
location near motorway
Comfortable bed Room air conditioner blew hot continuously. Reception doors were missing handles
I suppose, one receives what one pays for. However, description of the hotel on your site did not state that the hotel consists of rooms that feel like containers. The room smelt of a heavy cleaning products, the window was very small, sound proofing non-existent, and the bathroom very small. I DID NOT LIKE this hotel - period.
The use of the Campanile restaurant which was good value for money and the meals very tasty.
The hotel is located on the entry of the city, very good accesible from the motorway (close to the exit). Smaller clean rooms. Enough parking places. Light dinner is offered in the nearby hotel. Breakfast is simple. The old city centre is good accessible by walk. The bathrooms are very small.
The helpfulness of the evening staff member The very small shower
We loved the Chateau martinet - the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely and we dined each morning on their lovely terasse. Good size pool too. Our room was right next to a busy road, so it was a bit noisy.
Beautiful old Chalet. Great experience and recommend it if you want something unique and beautiful. Nice people that own it as well. Needs wifi.
A lovely family run hotel in beautiful setting. Good food and spacious room. The owners reduced my room rate when they realised I was travelling alone Very close to main road. You had to cross the road to get to my room and pool was poorly maintained.
Except for the distraction of the flapping door to the kitchen, the food was excellent. Other than that this no longer is a three star hotel Upon entering the lobby we were greeted by three aging and smelly dogs whose favourite sleeping place was the lobby. One of said dogs regularly patrolled the dining room looking for handouts. The carpet in our room was alive with (fortunately) non-biting bugs.
None i the staff spoke fluent English
The rooms were nice and confortable, and the dining room was beautiful. It has a restaurant with good menues. The room smelt because of the humidity.
I got food poisoning from their dinner. Ironically the dinner was delicious
It was an traditional hotel with very nice people.a good place to stay. not far from orange en avignon little bit a poor breakfast whithout meat.
Absolutely superb hotel staff....could not be more accommodating or pleasant. The location is quite central in Provence, the chateau setting enchanting, the suite we stayed in and the restaurant were beautiful and excellent. One should be forewarned that the room suites are NOT in the main building but across a busy road and that some are up three flights of stairs.
Full of character and we chose a menu with different wine for each course which was lovely.
