Extremely good location with more than adequete facilities. small beers are tiny beers!
The location and the views from the room The food was not particularly good nor was the dining room service
The general appearance and ambience. Also the friendliness of all the staff. N/A
Exactly what we were looking for, reasonable, cost effective, suited us
An excellent hotel in a peaceful setting with fantastic views. Rooms very comfortable and spacious.
the hotel bar was quite nice The service was terrible and the staff were not very accomodating. Very bad customer service.
Friendly staff and original interior design together with excellent cuisine Would have liked to stay longer!
The room was of the highest quality and we enjoyed the location for a casual stroll to the town
Excellent and friendly staff, particularly so in the cafeteria. Good value for money. A short walk (10 min) to the town centre/beach area. Nothing of any consequence.
Well located good rooms food in restaurant good
The restaurant staff and meal were excellent. The bar service/young lady were appalling, after driving for some hours and wanting to "unwind" in the bar proved frustratingly poor and apparently inconvenient for the young lady apparenly in charge of the bar. We have stayed at this hotel twice before and always had efficient and friendly bar service.
Vary comfortable hotel. Excellent value for money. Nice pool, extensive breakfast buffet and tasty dinner. Location
The staff, room, swimming pools and food all excellent. We would recommend this hotel - only thing its location is close to the motorway for travellers but there are no shops, bars or restuarants nearby.
Very smart hotel and excellent value. Spacious room and spotlessly clean. Very convenient motorway stop when driving through Spain and very good spa facilities. Breakfast was cooked to order (scrambled eggs with bacon) and was delicious. I assume the buffet was off because the hotel was so quiet. It was pretty empty (November) and felt a little soul-less, but it was still a very comfortable and relaxing stopover.
Staff very friendly and helpful! Arrived in early October unaware that pool would be closed up tighter than a drum. Would have like to have known in advance! Also, needed better instructions to locate via road arriving from Alicante in the dark!
A nice efficient experience.
Private pool, parking, breakfast, restaurant and breakfast staff were all good We were misinformed about restaurant/bar/cafe facilities by reception staff. Buffet dinner was exactly the same every night. The A la carte menu was only in Spanish, making an expensive menu difficult to choose from. Consequently we found it very bad value for money.
nice big room spa is very good buffet is good room is noisy if window is open
The staff were very helpful but not all over us. The breakfast was very good and the swimming pool (the reason we booked) was not over used and very clean and safe. We thought the hotel should have been a 5 star and would stay again. No all good
The staff were unhelpful. It was a lovely sunny day and they would not allow us to sit on the terrace with our drinks, we were told it was the winter and that was that. There was nowhere to sit in the gardens to allow us to enjoy them which was the whole readon for booking this hotel. It was also set in the heart of an industrial estate with no bars or restaurants within walking distance for my disabled friend. The bedroom, although clean, had not been set for two people and we had to find housekeeping and get then to finish it off. Very disappointing.
Nothing really the room was ok and the breakfast was quite tasty The hotel is like a building site it has not even got a Sign for it's name . Most of the outside near the reception is unfinished and the view from our window resembled a building site. The reception staf were not very helpful and you are a long way from the center of the town!
It is a great hotel in a great little town in the Murcia area... if you want to get away from the city stuff you want to go there... although its being remodeled (which they cleared stated before the reservation) it was great, quiet and beautiful and I hope to go back there many times
The woman on the desk did not want to help us in any way. What the hotel said on the website was a lie. All we wanted to do was relax for our last day of our holiday touring Spain. We wanted to just chill out by a pool - but - there was no pool! She couldn't care less. Instead she said we could pay 40e for a plunge pool. Very unfriendly indeed.
Very comfortable stay, clean environment, all facilities you would expect. The water in the shower was only boiling hot, and the Hotel staff assured me that they would fix, and didn't. My only disappointment was the fact that for a 4 star hotel, nobody spoke any English!!! Not a disaster as I need to practice my Spanish, but necessary in this day and age!! Great Hotel if you can over come the language barrier.... Don't forget your phrase book.....
I was made very welcome by all staff, the whole expereice wa 10/10 N/A
Food could have been better
Location, location, location Unfortunately our electronic key failed to work and the woman on reception at the time was initially quite unhelpful, she made uncomplimentary remarks about the English, and suggested we should sleep in a different room (all our possessions were in the room). Eventually she realised that indeed there was a problem and called an engineer to repair the door. We suggested complimentary drinks at the bar and she agreed. The hotel duty manager did apologise, and apart from this one woman, the rest of the hotel personnel was fantastic and we would certainly return.
The friendliness of the staff. The mini-bar was not cold!!!!
Efficient service, everything clean, good range of facilities in room. Well situated for town centre Not enough staff covering for breakfast. Bed small by todays standards
The hotel was in a nice area of the city. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful.
Relaxing with lovely views. Rooms very comfortable with excellent air con/heating. Friendly bar. TV channels disappointing
Nice, modern, well equiped hotel in a good location on the beach. I dislike that smoking still continues within the hotel's internal areas.
Seaside and the room
Very good hotel, very nice rooms, good breakfast, nice beach location, private parking. No complaints.
The ambience, quality of the food and the cost very few of the staff could speak English
We found it very relaxing with not much to do. However we did enjoy long walks along the sea front. Other than the hotel there were few good restaurants. Restricted access to the swimming pool
The actual room was very good. La Taberna seemed to be the only place that provided 4 star service and acceptable food. General state of hotel maintenance, door hinge ready to fall off. Glass revolving door with broken glass held together with boxing tape. Main pool dirty, made more obvious by the indoor pool beside it being clean. Pool drinks service extremely slow, we got the impression that they simply did not want to serve drinks at the pool. Food in main restaurant very poor.
Outstanding views and location. Was a quiet time of the year so not many people about which suited us. Meals seemed expensive there but otherwise fine
Close to the beach with nice views from the room window (which was openable). At a rather dead end of town and difficult to find because of lack of signage coming into town.
Very relaxing and good value for money
Stunning location, particularly enjoyable with a balcony room. Restaurant remarkably good, and great value. Professional, helpful staff. Feeble water pressure in shower.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful peaceful surroundings.
Views from the hotel and balcony were beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of car parking area. Food in hotel was good value for money. No other facilities in the nearby local area. Not ideal for longer than four days stay duration.
The setting is stunning, the restaurant is very good and good value, worth paying the extra 10€ for a balcony. A real change from the costa crowds and not too far inland (1hr from San Javier). Early morning noise of hikers getting ready before the heat starts(August). Very poor insulation and of course tile floors. What a racket!! Don't expect a lie in.
We were extremely impressed with the grounds of the hotel and its location. It was also great value and maintained to a very high standard No !
Set on the edge of a national park, this hotel was an oasis of calm after the hectic towns on the coast. Obviously we were in the low season but the facilitie at the hotel were all functioning normally. we had an excellent stay.
The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was furnished well and was really clean. The gardens were well kept and beautiful. There were lots of walks in the immediate vicinity to try out. The hotel, an ex monastry still seemed to have a peaceful ambience. We enjoyed the food and would recommend the hotel to anyone wishing to have a peaceful holiday in a lovely part of Spain. The hotel as can be expected from a converted monastry was a little remote.
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Quite isolated so expect to drive to other attractions, restaurants etc. Junior suite was excellent with two balconies, one with a table and chairs overlooking the fabulous courtyard. Huge restaurant was empty when we visited but full service was offered and waiter was extremely helpful. Exceptional value for money (rooms, dinner and breakfast) Quiet in the off-season and quite isolated, but perfect if you are looking for a peaceful break.
The hotel is situated in beautitful countryside at the foot of the mountains, We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and the well kept gardens that surround the hotel. Better pillows would be a plus
Helpfulness of staff. Although it was the chefs day off and the restaurant was closed the staff went out of their way to provide us with a tasty supper. The hotel definitely needs to rethink the given directions. We did not find it at all easy to locate. The hotel is not situated as declared in Puerto de Mazarron (which sounds appealing). It is in truth in Bolnuevo. Had we known this it would have saved us three quarters of an hour of fruitless searching at the end of a tiring and lengthy days drive. Local signing was none existent and should be addressed immediately.
Contemporary decor/boutique style. Complete absence of a pool in a high temperature environment is a negative. Roof solarium would benefit from being developed a place to go where you could sunbathe, get some shade and "cool down". Also a drinks service would be an big benefit.
Comfortable, stylish, relaxed, friendly. Staff, particularly Emannuel, attentive and flexible to accommodate our every need.
The staff, the food, the kitchenette/living room corner in the room, proximity to the sea, walking possibilities, nice balcony, breakfast, recommended restaurant (although closed unfortunately during our January stay). Not really but noise carries a lot in the building because of the shape of it
very clean & comfortable small hotel with personal service breakfast prepared to order in cafe next to hotel
thoughtfull design catering for all nationalities. Good position Address sent was incomplete so difficult to find.Restaurant closed for refurb.
Beautiful, small family run hotel with lovely, large, unusual, well decorated rooms and bathrooms. A real hidden gem, will definately go back again. no, everything was perfect.
Clean modern facilities, friendly staff and excellent cuisine.
The hotel was very nice. New, boutique style, clean and comfortable. The only thing was the beds were a little hard and there was just one sheet on the bed. I was cold, but when i asked for a blanket, i got one immediately. The staff were very nice and you go next door to a really nice little cafe for breakfast - the breakfast is fantastic. you have a choice and its really pleasant. If i go back to this village (which is Bolnuevo - about 5min drive from mazzaron - we thought we were initially staying in mazzaron as that is what the site led us to believe, but it was fine as the little fishing village of Bolnuevo is really nice, has plenty of restaurants and is very short distance to Mazzaron. The food in teh hotel is also really good - a little bit more expensive (22-27 for 3/4 course meal per person) but is really tasty and worth it. there's also a great place on the beach for paella and lunch.
Excellent small hotel, all the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms a big and have full facilties and even tea and coffee making facilities (very unusual in Spain) All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return there again some time in the future.
Available food in the evening limited and expensive. Bar & Cafeteria allows smoking including staff despite no smoking sign in foyer. Waited 20 minutes for bill after meal.
Good value for money. The bacon baguette was good...yum yum and the satff were very accomodating. Limited evening menu
Modern and clean. Great value for money.
We needed just to stay overnight somewhere driving from Granada to Alicante and we did not expect too much. Only demand was to find it easily and location close to highway We were really surpirsed by the quality of the hotel, very good restaurant. We had very pleasant although very short stay there, definitely worth of money we paid. Everything excellent
ultra modern rooms No coffee making facilities in room
Lovely big room and excellent service
Clean room, good amenities, good space (value for price), new modern design, friendly staff
bad area smell
design, 24 hour cafeteria smell, construction, location
We were delighted with this hotel. The reseption staff were fantastic, I had forgotten an important medical tablet, they give instructions to doctors & offered to translate by phone if neccessary. Bed was large & comfortable, also the pillows. We can not comment of food we only had breakfast which was buffett, you could eat what you wanted. Would recommend any day & we would go back if in the area. None
This must be one of the best value hotels we have ever stayed in. From initial check-in until final check-out, there was really nothing to criticise at all. The rooms are a good size, comfortable with good bathrooms - and excellent showers. Lots of glass and marble. Our biggest regret is that, staying only for one night, we did not come prepared to take advantage of the excellent spa and gym facilities. That they can provide these, plus free DVD loans, plus free wi-fi, at the prices they charge is nothing short of remarkable. The dining facilities are fairly basic, but excellent value. And we spent the evening 10-pin bowling for the first time in 25 years! The only negative comments I could make are that, if you are looking for a gourmet experience or stunning views, this is not the hotel for you. In almost any other case, this hotel is an absolute bargain!
big beds, nice bathroom, swimming pool, free DVD rental, price
Excellent facilities- pool, crazy golf bowling, suit families Evening meal - pre-booked was awful. Canteen pasta dishes we saw at lunchtime being served 8p.m. Bought rolls and cheese!
Near autopista ideal overnight stop between Marbella and Valencia with secure underground car parking.
Close to beach. We asked for a double room but were given a room with two single beds
restaurant and staff very good room could have been bigger with tea making facility
Being near sea and promenade
The Excellent sea views from the window and balcony. The balcony was safe for a young child. The cleanliness of the rooms and friendly efficient staff. The room furniture was dated and basic. However it was adequate for our needs. The family room was very near to reception and voices woke the baby up in the morning.
very quiet,car parkinggood
Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was no restaurant cafeteria or bar open, no live entertainment we wouldnt have spent 1 night if our arrival was earlier. My husband is in a wheel chair it was unbelievable, no offer of assistance, we had to get a taxi into the centre to get something to eat and drink, there was no tea making facilities in the room and then the following morning we were charged full rate! On arrival the hotel appeared in darkness. The receptionist spoke no english or any other language other than spanish as far as we could ascertain. She had a wriiten message telling us we could only stay until Sunday 23rd rather than Monday 24th March as we had booked. This also informed that an email had been sent advising us of this fact we have yet to recieve the email. The time was around 10pm
We have stayed here may times and the rooms are excellent and the food is good but they allow smoking in the restaurant. On this occasion we did not eat there as the smoke was unbearable. We ate in the hotel opposite where the food is not as good but the restaurant has no smoking and a proper area for smokers.
The room was mor than adequately equipped even a pc! rooms 101 and 102 and probably the corresponding rooms on the second floor suffer from the noise of the a/c plant for the kitchen
Super-kingsize double bed by request Nothing
Road noise from nearby main road.
As far as IKEA hotels go this one is rather good, the room was big and included a desktop computer and big TV. No fridge in the room.
Everything in the hotel was perfect. It is modern and stylish, all rooms very clean, free and secure parking. The employees were despite the communication problems incredibly helpful. I felt very comfortable in the hotel and I would highly recommend it. It should get 3 or 4 stars.
Free parking was nice, and the attached restaurant was very good. For some reason, we were unable to get the Internet access to work, and the TV remove (and, therefore, the TV) did not work. Neither was a major concern that evening, however.
Easy to locate , Restaurant very good, free secure parking. Rooms a little airless -if windows open, outside noise disturbing
Excellent for overnight stay.
The hotel was modern, clean and the staff were very efficient and friendly, the food was excellent, and secure parking was provided. A very good experience and would recommend.
Easy check in, Good continental breakfast. Plenty of hot water, although rather slow running in the sink. Car parking outside. Bit difficult to find without detailed map.
The room was basic but generally acceptable. Communication was difficult due to us not being able to speak Spanish, but we considered this our problem rather that the Hotel staff. However we did manage. The room we were in (101) was noisey, when it rained the running water would keep you awake and the walls fairly thin so we could clearly hear noisey neighbours.
Very clean and friendly
Very close walking distance to the seafront, excellent resturante. Family run and very friendly. Good free parking. Rooms a little small and general hotel surroundings are a little unpleaseant at first impression but absolutly not problems.
clean room.friendly staff. rooms too small with 3 beds and a cot.
Excellent location, right on the beach. Immediate surrounding area somewhat run down. Adjacent building (previous shopping centre?) boarded up, vandalised amd covered in spray paint.i
All very quiet until local expat Lions invaded and spoilt the tranquility
It was old, but clean. The price was very good.
Hotel Bahia was clean, easily accessable and the staff were excellent. I would definately recommend this hotel The only improvement would be to have fans/aircon in the lounge/bar area
great location, direct access to two lovely beaches. Plenty of space in the hotel and the surrounding area. Hotel very quiet. breakfast was dreadful. Why do hotels never learn?
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alboron very much indeed. The staff were very helpful & curtious. Drapes were hanging off the pole in places ,
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was excellent right on the beach. The beach was very clean and quiet. nothing
Good food in the restaurant. Staff helpful and competent. Adequate comfort. Excellent location for us. The lounge area on roof was not operating during our stay.
stayed one night only
