This cortijo is a recently restored typical farmstead, with Spanish en Moorish elements such as the patio. Our cortijo has 3 guestrooms for 2 with a bathroom. The property covers about 3,5 hectares and is located in a green area, close to the nature reserve of “La Huma”. On the domain are several fig, almond and olive trees. The swimmingpool is southern located with the magnificent panoramic view over the valley of the “Guardalhorce”. So tranquillity is assured. Because of the location, the accommodation, the offer and the swimming pool, the B&B is only suitable for children over 16 years.
Pros: Great hosts, felt very welcome. Quite remote with lots of nature which is what I wanted. Excellent food.
Pros: Danny and Jaque are perfect hosts and compliment each other in every wayThe breakfast is sublime and the beautiful home cooked meals prepared by Jaque whilst Danny hosts lovely This is more than a B and B It is a home you are welcomed into with open arms. Thank you both
Pros: Beautiful place, friendly hosts and guests and good food. And a little political discussion thrown in for free
Pros: Fantastic rural location
Cons: Nothing to fault
Pros: The hosts Jacques and Danny were very welcoming. During the meals together with them and other guests we felt like visiting good old friends. You can immediately taste that Jacques enjoys cooking and the breakfast with many regional ingredients was the best we had during our stay in Andalusia. Many of the really great climbing spots are in walking distance. The environment is very beautiful and the rooms are nice and comfortable.
Cons: The weather ;-).
Pros: The location is situated in a beautiful environment, suitable for several outdoor activities. It is close to the Caminito del Rey. The hosts Danny and Jacques are very welcoming and very helpful to give advice about activities in the region. On top of that, Jacques is an excellent cook.
Pros: Jacques and Danny were very hospitable to us providing us with excellent food and a wide range of drinks. They were very chatty entertaining us into the early hours of the morning as able to speak in a variety of languages very well. They also had their own friends staying who we also got to know and at no time did we feel compromised. The location of their home is well placed for visiting El Chorro. The only thing that guests need to be aware of is that there is quite a long dirt track to go up before arriving at their property. This was quite challenging for our Seat Estate and a Jeep or equivalent 4 wheel drive would be preferable. The actual position of the property has panaramic views across the mountains and is formed of a pretty courtyard. Lots of animals about which we enjoyed the company of.
Cons: Nothing specifically. There was an issue with insufficient power being supplied to the property which they were sorting out.
Pros: Great hosts! So welcoming and made us feel right at home. Amazing location, great pool and with lots of hiking opportunities right outside. The food was great and the atmosphere was amazing! Would recommend to anyone!
Pros: The owners make sure everyone runs smoothly. It’s a lovely place. Dinner and breakfast are great.
Cons: It took some effort to get to the property using Apple Maps, but once again the owners came to the rescue.
Featuring free WiFi, a year-round outdoor pool and a terrace, Casa el Chorro offers accommodation in El Chorro. Free private parking is available on site. Some rooms feature a seating area for your convenience. Views of the mountains, pool or garden are featured in certain rooms. The rooms are equipped with a private bathroom fitted with a bath or shower and shower. Málaga is 65 km from Casa el Chorro, while Marbella is 80 km away. The nearest airport is Malaga Airport, 70 km from the property.
Pros: Breakfast with a view on Sierra de Huma! After a big walk, it is nice to enjoy a rest at the swimming pool.
Pros: Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Thoroughly recommend to anyone travelling here.
Cons: No negatives.
Pros: Friendless of hosts
Pros: WOW! The place was simply amazing!!!
Pros: The hosts were super friemdly providing the best breakfast I've ever had on holiday & making sure we had privacy as well as being helpful & sociable.
Pros: Really nice and comfortable place in a beautiful scenery of the nature. Hosts are incredibly friendly and attentive.
Pros: The mattress was very comfortable. The hosts were very helpful and always nice. Great place for stargazing.
Cons: A little far from the train station
With a stay at Hotel Rural Andalucia in Sierra de Yeguas, you'll be 21.2 mi (34.1 km) from Caminito del Rey and 8.7 mi (13.9 km) from Fuente de Piedra Lagoon. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: Acogedor, bien cuidado, tranquilo. This is a place I can wholeheartedly recommend. Well kept with a beautiful Andalusian courtyard and lots of plants. Quiet. The owner is kind and helpful. She speaks mainly Spanish but will find ways to communicate. A varied breakfast is found in the fridge, I was delighted to also find fresh fruit waiting upon arrival. Fresh bread arrives in the morning and is left at the door. Price worthy. Beautiful. Nice. You will experience a real rural village. Will definitely return.
Pros: Five stars service for the price of two stars and in a beautiful inn.
Pros: Lovely room and Luisa is great
Cons: No kettle had to heat water for coffee in the microwave.
Pros: I really liked the patio outside our room. We sat there with a coffee and a book. It was very peaceful. The lady who greeted us was very friendly and it was a short walk into the town to eat at local bars of which there were many.
Pros: Very cozy and flowery mansion. Good location for the caminato del rey hike!
With a stay at Hotel Rural Hoyo Bautista in Martin de la Jara, you'll be 26.9 mi (43.3 km) from Caminito del Rey and 14.9 mi (24 km) from Fuente de Piedra Lagoon. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Surrounded by olive trees in wonderful location with beautiful views. Carmen made us feel very welcomed, thank you for the wonderful stay!
Pros: This hotel is in a beautiful spot and remote surrounded with olive trees. The owners were really lovely people and couldn't do enough to make our stay pleasant.
Cons: For us, this hotel was a little too remote and there wasn't really anywhere else to eat out in the evenings. We normally like to stay somewhere with at least a few nice restaurants that are within walking distance. This has not got that and to be honest, the local little village/town doesn't really have much if anything. There are no nice restaurants, no decent bars. You can eat in the hotel without having to book in the evening which is handy, but for us, it would have been nice to eat out some nights locally. Luckily we were out and about a lot for the week we were there so we eat before we came back. The other thing that I think would have been nice is tea and coffee making facilities in the room and also once in our room there was not really anywhere to sit outside with a glass of wine. Not unless we purchased it from the bar and then sat outside of the main building. It would have been nice to have some seating outside our room where we could consume our own wine.
Pros: Swimming pool was lovely, smell of clean laundry around the hotel, loved the dogs and animals walking freely around the site, very good food.
Cons: A little clearer breakfast menu, maybe would have preferred a buffet style breakfast to ease the selection process as an option?
Pros: Absolutely ticked all our boxes. Quiet, serene, buried away in surrounding olive groves and country side. Excellent for bird watching. and chilling.
Pros: Hidden in an olive grove, this place was our absolute favourite during our holiday touring Andalucia- we loved our 4 nights relaxing here. The rooms are lovely, Andalucian style and spotlessly clean. You stay in an old farmhouse building- we chose a superior room upstairs looking out over the olive trees. It is very homely with laundry drying and nice communal areas. There is a lovely courtyard to eat breakfast and dinner in and a very attractive pool to relax by. We also loved the owners’ friendly dogs especially Manuela. Be prepared for a few free range chickens walking around- all part of the rural experience for us. The hotel is run by a wonderful couple who work extremely hard yet are very friendly. We enjoyed the home cooked dinners. Other restaurants and bars are available less than 5km away by car if you want cheaper or smaller but we chose to eat at the hotel every night and enjoyed the experience- it was our evening entertainment. Obviously you need a car to access this place, which means you can visit some Pueblos Blancos like Olvera and historic towns like Osuna. We recommend cycling the Via verde de Sierra which starts in Olvera, 55 minutes drive away (you can hire bikes there, see website). We were very sad to leave Hotel Rural Hoyo Bautista and if we return to this part of Spain we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended and thank you so much for a wonderful stay and welcome.
Cons: We loved everything
Pros: Dream location for the ones seeking an authentic Spanish rural location within sea of olive treas, enhanced with a pool to cool down from all those beauties. Great service, perfect meals and the best zumo de naranja in the world!
Pros: It's very authentic and well furnished place so quite and peaceful. Precisely a weekend getaway that kind of resting your soul. The room was quite big having a spacious bathroom. The lady owner was so friendly and kind, always smiling.
Cons: The hotel located literally in the middle of olive groves so if you go there after sunset it is really hard to find and you have to drive a mile on earth road so you have to get your car washed afterwards.
Pros: The hosts were very warm and welcoming. Although, they didn’t speak English we were able to communicate with signs quite well. Be prepared to see many chickens and couple of dogs freely walking across the property. The pool area was nice and exactly what we needed after landing in Sevilla airport. The room had AC that we did turn on in the middle of night, although the evening wasn’t hot at all. Room was nice, for one night stay we didn’t need much. We ate dinner or site and the food was delicious so was the included breakfast - with coffee of choice, orange juice and toasts with picked topping.
Pros: The hospitality and the Maroccan furniture and style
Cons: The entrance road was in bad condition
Pros: The property is beautifully presented, in a very rural setting. The pool is excellent. I would recommend this hotel if you want peace and quiet for a few days. The staff (Carmen and Antonio) couldn’t have done more to mate our stay better. Great food and drink too!
Cons: Nothing we could think of. If you need a break to go and get lunch, try the nearest town where there are a couple of restaurants.
Located in Valle de Abdalagis, El Refugio de Alamut is within a 15-minute drive of Lobo Park and Sierra de Chimenea. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good location, quiet at night, bed comfortable, great room and bar in main building with darts and snooker. Not easy to find GPS took us down road to a restaurant
Cons: Outside room a little tired but big and warm.
Pros: Great place to stay!
Pros: Great location, mountain / countryside views. Very peaceful and quiet.
Cons: WiFi unavailable in the bungalows, but was okay outside and in the communal areas.
Pros: the host was very kind, the area is beautiful, quiet, the rooms are simple and basic. i slept good:) the location is very comfortable if you are going to caminito del rey by car.
Pros: Friendly owner and great local scenery.
Cons: The rooms are located outside the main building and are basic especially the bathroom facilities.
Pros: The wild life, swimming pool, comfortable beds We had a brilliant stay, so accommodating thank you Relaxing, homely, everything we wanted
Pros: Goats drinking from the pool.... Very clean , we all slept really well
Cons: All good
Pros: We booked last minute with little research, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. The hotel was easier to find than we feared, even though the access road was somewhat steep. The welcome from the staff was amazing, and we felt very at home right from the start.
Cons: We stayed off season and there were few guests so it was very quiet...and peaceful..so actually it was nice, and seemed fitting for the mountainside location with the far reaching views across the countryside. Oh, and the swimming pool looked inviting but probably was cold, so we just sat beside it with a beer rather than diving in!
Pros: The refugio is more like a little motel than a hotel with the rooms situated away from the main building. There is an individual style for each room which adds to the character of the place. Carmen, the owner, was very friendly and helpful with good local knowledge about areas of interest for tourists. There is a very good local restaurant about a kilometre away but the meals in the refugio are also very tasty and good value. Also e is a swimming pool which has great views.
Pros: The Swimming pool is great.
Cons: the absence of Air Conditioning in a region where 35 degrees (Celcius) is a normal temperature.
With a stay at Hostal Vista a la Sierra in Valle de Abdalagis, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Caminito del Rey and Lobo Park. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good clean budget accommodation.
Pros: The politeness of Francisco and his wife, they was amazing!!! I am really satisfied with them and completely service I recibes from them!!
Cons: Please, give me a break, I told you: all was amazing!
Pros: Excellent Stay friendly and welcoming host. Thank you for a great stay.
Pros: The hospitality.
Pros: Good beds.
Cons: Because it is a hostal and there is no breakfastservice, a small kitchen with fridge for general use would be very helpfull (to make a coffee, tea and keep some food). There was a big wedding in town and the guests made a lot of noice at night. But that is offcourse not the fault of the hotel.
Pros: Nice, simple rooms with a great view. Friedly, helpful host.
Cons: There are not so many restaurants in the village
Pros: A very warm welcome; a very spacious room and bathroom; good aircon; good wifi coverage.
Cons: Nothing - all was good
With a stay at Complejo Turístico Rural La Garganta in Alora, you'll be in a provincial park, within a 5-minute drive of Caminito del Rey and El Chorro Gorge. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Planning an event in Alora? This aparthotel has facilities measuring 549 square feet (51 square meters), including a meeting room. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Perfect location if you plan to visit Caminito del Rey.
Pros: Location was fabulous
Cons: It was all good
Pros: Our primary reason for choosing this hotel was to walk the Caminito del Rey, and we were not disappointed - location was perfect for that purpose. Bus to the starting point leaves from just out the front, and the walk brings you back there. Nice swimming pool and terrace (warm days). Interesting and qwerky room in the single storey part at the back, with a unique rustic/modern bathroom. Comfortable and quiet. Right next to the train station, but the trains passed virtually unnoticed. Staff were great, especially with advice about the Caminito.
Cons: Being so close to the Caminito the rhythms of the hotel didn't quite match. Breakfast started somewhat late to get to the morning booking times on the walking track. Fine if you are just there to kick back, but we were well organised, and only got to the bus with 5 minutes to spare. Car parking was somewhat constrained, but I believe that has to do with some upgrading at the train station - will no doubt resolve when the work is completed.
Pros: Hotel can get you tickets for the Caminito del Rey and is situated metres from the bus you take to the start of the walk and 300 metres from the end of the walk. Caminito is a 8 km walk through the most stunning scenery, all the walkers had smiles on their faces. Staff at hotel are friendly and helpful and restaurant food is good.
Cons: This is the only place to dine, within walking distance. The split level bedrooms have a small gap between the bed and staircase so that you need to be careful walking around the bed to get to the bathroom.
Pros: The location was very convenient to the Caminito del Rey. The bus taking you near the entrance was just a minute walk from the hotel. The end of the trail was walking distance to the hotel so you didn’t need to take a bus back. The pool looked very nice but it was too cold outside for us to use it. The dinner and breakfast we ate at the restaurant was enjoyable and reasonably priced.
Cons: The apartment is very outdated! The lighting in the bedroom was very dim and depressing. There was no decoration in the rooms either. The couch and chair in the living area has stains on the so they were covered with blankets. It just wasn’t a comfortable place to relax. The kitchen was so narrow and tiny that once could barely use it.
Pros: Good location. Staff helpful. They arranged tickets for us to walk the Caminito del Rey. Very helpful. Room had kettle and mini bar. Hotel has pool with beautiful views.
Cons: WiFi very spotty. Our room was on two levels with a very narrow spiral staircase. I actually fell coming down one time and bruised my arm. Kettle was on the first floor but the bathroom with water supply was on the second! If you have issues with mobility then make sure you do t get this room.

Pros: good hotel in a small village quiet location
Cons: all ok
Pros: This was a lovely place to stay. The owners were very kind and helpful. I had an excellent meal in the restaurant which was very good value and typical Spanish breakfast is available at the bar in the morning.

Pros: It's simply amazing!!
Cons: No openable windows in the bathroom. That's mean almost nothing.
Pros: The place has awesome vibe, great people and lovely pool. The atmosphere is amazing and everyone is very friendly. Breakfast was great and it was really cool that you can buy some drinks, snacks and local products.
Cons: Our bed was very loud and not very comfortable. By back was hurting every night and I couldn't sleep.
Pros: Great location, excellent views
Cons: Could not eat dinner as had to pre order by 13 but we did not arrive until 1730.
Pros: Staff were amazing! Friendly, helpful, accommodating! Breakfasts and dinners were outstanding! Views from our room were amazing. We had a wonderful stay!
Pros: Breakfast great, location wonderful.
Cons: The only thing I didnt like was the smell of airfreshner in the room.
Pros: The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They helped with getting to our hikes, recommending places to eat and whatever we needed. Lovely place. Highly recommended
Pros: The location was perfect with great views. The staff were really friendly & helpful especially Hannah who was always cheerful & full of local knowledge.
Pros: So relaxed and friendly extremely dog friendly. Lovely breakfast. We have never stayed anywhere like this before but will definitely go back.
Cons: If I have to say something the bed in room 1 is very squeaky if you do so much as turn over but the bed is still very comfy.

Pros: Gorgeous patio. Quick service. Good parking in the shade. This place has a lot to do due to the big camping next to the hotel.
Cons: The showerhead was half blocked due to calcification. The water splashed all over the bathroom. No Handsoap. Nowhere to hang or put the handtowel. It took 10min to run the warm water before it got warm. We had no room cleaning in the 2 night we stayed. Very poor lighting in the room. No WIFI in the room!! In the lobby you could get WiFi but very low speed.
Pros: Classic older Spanish hotel
Cons: Room insulation a little noisy
Pros: The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned every day to a very high standard. The meals were very large and we couldn't finish them. The pool bar is an excellent place to meet up with friends and also to make new friends. Fernando who runs the pool bar is a genuinely lovely person and makes everyone welcome. On our last night there was a disco at the pool bar which was very good, lots of people laughing and dancing really ended our stay on a good note.
Cons: My only complaint would be that there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms and we had to wait for the bar to open to get a morning coffee
Pros: Location was good - near the motorway with good parking facility Room was medium sized with a good comfy bed. Shower was good Evening meals were OK and reasonably priced No breakfast but the coffee was good Will stay again
Cons: The water in the shower was very slow to drain away and basically flooded the bathroom. Having said that when I took the receptionist to our room to show her the excess water she was very apologetic. I wouldn't hold this against the hotel as if nobody reported it previously how are they to know that there was a problem
Pros: Easy to get to from malaga airport via hire car.. Finding local towns easy too.. Food brilliant in restaurant.. The hotel is basic but very clean and staff and locals very pleasant...
Cons: Local to most amenities but car hire is a must.. There is a bus stop outside hotel that gets you too most places but don't think they run that often
Pros: Lovely Spanish hotel with a lot of space pools indoor heated and outdoor in the summerand bowls green. They have entertainment and on the Wednesday we were there a market in the car park
Cons: Would have been good to have tea making facilities. Nothing much around it so best to stay there
Pros: Loved the place everyone so friendly

Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Pros: Staffs are very friendly and the location is perfect for Caminito Del Rey.
Cons: Breakfast was too simple.
Pros: Good location. Reception staff lovely. Comfortable beds
Cons: We booked half board. Weird dining experience, no one to show us where the dining room was or where to sit. Very cold dining room, people wearing puffa coats to eat in for dinner and breakfast. Food was just about passable, luke warm. Shells in scrambled eggs. Disjointed breakfast, different things arriving at different times.
Pros: This location is only about 0.5 km from the start of the Caminito del Rey entry tunnel. This makes it very easy to start the walk. At the end of the walk there is a bus that take you back exactly to the beginning, next to the El Kiosko restaurant.
Pros: Best receptionist - young man!
Pros: Nice area, close to El Chorro by foot. The hotel was clean and neat. Lovely lake and views around, good for an evening walk, you might even meet some foxes.
Cons: Nothing really
Pros: Fantastic staff- warm and friendly family hospitality, had the surprise and good fortune to meet Ana Revete. Very rustic and a good flavor of Spanish ranchero! Maria was amazing and between my lack of profiency in Spanish - I felt we bonded and felt simpatico with her as if I knew her for years; meal was fantastic- great steak- best piece of beef in all of Europe
Cons: Loved the experience!
Pros: The peace and serenity. The views are outstanding. You can't fault the friendliness or the hospitality.
Cons: Our bed was a bit uncomfortable but other than that we enjoyed our stay.
Cons: Room was really dark so found it difficult to read

With a stay at Hotel Fortes la Nuit S.L. in Mollina, you'll be a 1-minute walk from Casa de Cultura Theatre and 9 minutes by foot from Iglesia Parroquial Nuestra de la Oliva. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: We reserved this hotel online the day of when we decided to go to the bird refuge. Mollina is tiny town. The hotel also has a bar/fresh sandwich type restaurant. The owner/operator was congenial. Spoke no English. We speak no Spanish but it worked out.
Cons: The room was very cool in April. No need for air - which wasn't on. We did not attempt to activate the heat. Just put on more blankets and slept well. Mattresses could be of higher quality. Everything was spotless. I understand that this town and hotel may get less traffic - therefore less fancy mattresses.
Pros: both great
Pros: Location of hotel was a short walk to the centre of town and very convenient for access to local restaurants.
Cons: The room was well set up, however, the window was internal to the hotel and there was not enough of a breeze to cool the room without using the airconditioner. It would have been far more efficient if there was a pedestal fan to ventilate the air within the room.
Pros: Amazing customer service in the restaurant and bar, we were well looked after by diago and Jose, including all the family and other members of staff. Nothing is too much trouble for the team. The hotel are very good with children, extremely family orientated people. As an English family, the staff took time to communicate with us regardless of the language barrier, which was nice of them :) Good selection of alcohol and food from the menu, the rose wine is particularly nice! 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting the pedrera area.
Cons: No breakfast available but very good coffee!
Pros: Ideal for a one night stop over. Bar/restaurant menu provided a good choice a value for money.
Cons: Cafe didn’t open for breakfast until 9.00

Pros: We were totally miss sold as the opening picture and book now sign was that of a chalet. On arrival we were given keys to a 4 m2 shed!! We had to pay more money as I wouldn’t have left my dog in that
Cons: Not been miss sold, I will be careful not to use booking . Com as the owner took no resonsibility and blamed booking. Com
Cons: There wasn't much to the campsite but then again we went put of season I'm sure in summer it is lovely
Pros: Staff extremely helpful and friendly. The owner went out of his way to meet the expectations of the property. Area very calm and relaxing. Bungalow with tv and air con.

Pros: not much
Cons: Old and tatty
Pros: The room was quiet
Cons: The beds were small and uncomfortable. The ‘bungalow’was small and old fashioned. The shower did not have a curtain and Water went all over the bathroom. There was no WiFi and they could only accept cash.
Pros: The staff was very kind. I was running very late and they waited for us.
Cons: The shower did not have a curtain or door., as a result the entire bathroom gir wet. The futon in the livingroom was uncomfortable. The air conditioner is located in the kitchen and it's not strong enough to cool the entire apartment. The Wifi is available only at the bar, which unfortunately closes at 10pm
Pros: Pool. Food.
Pros: Staff was excellent. The pool was delicious after all day hiking on 30º Celsius. For us, location was on point, as it was 30km of average away from our points of interest. 3 days were not enough.
Cons: Living. A microwave would be nice.
Pros: Grand location one of the most beautiful scenic villages on our walking tour.
Pros: It was quiet. Dinner in the hotel was nice.
Cons: Stuffy room. Sofa with no springs. Bad mattresses. Dirty un-useable swimming pool. Poorly maintained garden.
Pros: it was basic but ok for the price
Cons: The fan was a bit old and noisey (no air con)
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: swiming pool closed in Oct
