Location Price Breakfast
The continental breakfast was good as was the receptionist 'Fernando', he was a star, the rooms a good size and free internet and wifi There was no Parking, the spaniards like to come to life at around midnight and tend to sing right under your bedroom window as the hotel backs onto a little town square
The view was excellent, the staff VERY helpful and friendly (particularly Fernando, and Sara as well), close to the ferry, bus station, and beach. Excellent value!
Good location No
Wonderful views of the sea and the park with its fountain in front of our room.
La atenciónde todo su personal es excelente, es un hotel muy limpio, el ambiente alrrededor es muy agradable. El NO disponer de aire acondicionado en la habitación
the hotel is very well situated for traveling around Galicia.Cangas is a buzzing little spot and the hotel looks out over the busy port.the ferry to Vigo is also just outside.we will definately use this hotel again.free parking is just outside the hotel.
This hotel is perfect for access to all types of holiday, close to Vigo (by water taxi) and virtually on the beach for the sunbathers. For those of us without a car public transport is close and covers coast and city routes. The hotel its self is of a very high standard, staff very helpfull at all times (24 hours ) Shall return!!
The friendlines of the staff specially Fernando.
Comfort, staff, position Noise from other rooms and from impolite people during the night
very friendly staff, good position, very close to train and bus station as well as city centre
Easy to reach. In a good location (near train station and city), clean and comfortable. Got the wrong information about the spa. The special price was for one hour and renting the flip-flops was 2 Euro not 1.5. That s not a big deal but getting the wrong information was annoying. Anyways the spa was wonderful!
Very polite in reception and the spa offer that they have, it was fantastic!
Very big rooms and nice and comfortable bathroom The location is very good for everything
l did not enjoy my stay. It mainly caters for tour groups and large group bookings, rather than individuals. It is very noisy. The facilities listed on website were not available even though requested well in advance. ie; Car-parking & double bed.
Central location. Tiny, expensive parking spaces. Poor breakfast selection. Dated interiors.
The staff was very accommodating and gave us free hot water in the morning for our instant oatmeal and coffee from the states. They stored our bike carrier boxes safely in a state room. The WIFI in the Suite room was so bad that we had to move to a different room (a more central standard room) to get a signal. They did this for us and provided us a refund for the difference in the cost of the two rooms.
Room was very clean and comfortable. Food in cafeteria was good. The hotel has a few limited parking spaces out front. There are spaces on the riverbank which become free after 6pm. Even though the rooms have a washing machine there are no facilities available to iron clothes
Rooms very spacious. Worked out very well for our trip. Difficult to locate.
Modern rooms in good location for the historic part of the city, 15 minute walk to bus and train stations. Would stay again. No English language TV
Value for money, clean
We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The apartments are spacious, attractive and were presented very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the food in the cafeteria. The view out of our windows, which would have been very pleasant with a little stream and ducks, was marred by the graffiti on the wall of the building opposite. However, the area was perfectly pleasant and we were not aware of any other problems.
Easy to find, convenient parking, great location close to Old Town. The staff was great and apartment very clean. Really great apartment; unfortunately, I would not return due to detractions. Lost one night's sleep to sewage smell that permeated apartment(second floor). Smelled bad outside so maybe from factories south of town? It was fine other nights. Did not like walking past working girls and their bosses above hotel late at night. WiFi is great if you have a laptop but a computer for guests without laptops would be a plus.
Apartments were excellent and facilities were good Back of the apartments face poor housing
Very well equipped, washing machine, cooking facilities. Close to restaurants and sights. The most comfortable hotel of our holiday.
Friendly staff, super space in the apartment far bigger and grander than we had expected. Not overlooked. Not a picturesque view but pleasant.
The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean, with a large bedroom and lounge/kitchen area. The location was excellent and only a short walk away from the old town. There was free on-street parking within 50m of the hotel.
Very impressed. A modern hotel decorated to a high standard. 10 minute walk to the train and bus stations, 10 minutes to the old town. Excellent.
the staff were very friendly and patient. The room was comfortable and bright and the hotel was only a short walk away from the city centre. the card-key to enter the room.
City location Included breakfast was the worse of our trip in Spain.
Did no like the lack of bedside carpets [cold floors] and in-room safe, but particularly, the need to vacate the room by noon so that the [very friendly and competent but always hovering around] housekeeping ladies could get to the room by 1:30. On vacation, I don't want to have to worry about waking up early, if I go to bed by 2-3 am, which we did every night.
The ratio value for money. A 2 star Hotel with some 3 star characteristics.
friendly staff.clean room restaurent was expensive for food and wine at this class of hotel
Convenient location Vey clean room and public spaces 3rd bed in room was totally inadequate No hot items available at breakfast (but good cold choice) Absence of shelves in bathroom Hot water supply indifferent
The staff was very kind, rooms in good conditions, wi-fi, acceptable breakfast, good location. I didn't find something wrong with this hotel
Very welcoming staff, the downstairs bar area was alovely place to relax with a drink and watch the rain outside! The whole decor was good and certainly deserving of it's 3 stars. If the disco had been active right next door, noise may have been an issue.
very nic3e staff, relaxed but efficient no real bar area where you could sit with a drink after dinner
Good location and rooms with views over rias pontevedra and near A1 Canelas beach 5 mins and 15mins Portonovo old town all in all Hotel and Staff V good but may need to book early in summer Car parking a bit restrictive
Grood location near to excellent beach and easy walk into fishing village. Completely Spanish holiday location very few foreign tourists in the area. Very little English spoken locally but locals very helpful. Great seafood in local restaurants at a reasonable price.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Modern style nice hotel with pleasant rooms. The next-door disco was thankfully closed during our stay. No English-language tv-channels.
Helpful receptionist. Some way out of Padron.
Big hotel, big rooms, comfortable, clean. Not far from Santiago - about 15 minutes drive. Not good gps coordinates, it was hard to find since it is actually in Pazos-the second village after Padron.
Excellent hotel with big rooms. Good swimming pool and restaurant. Nothing
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very nice -alot of variety. The rooms were very clean.
The friendly and helpful staff who did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. The views from the front were beautiful. The rooms were clean and satisfactory for this type of hotel and the hotel is spacious The only thing to spoil it was the road noise, as there is a very busy road directly in front of the hotel. A rear view room would be better, but no view
Staff were very helpful. Busy road at the front was noisy so lucky we had a rear room, not much of a view though.
The hotel allowed dogs which was great for us. It was also a good place to stay for a couple of nights, when travelling in Spain, A nice layed back place, good value, including the breakfast. It was a shame it was situated on a very busy, fast road next to 2 petrol stations!!.Their is double glazing but still noisy if the window open(especially in the summer with no air con!) It was difficult to walk from hotel, on this road too.
Poor sound isolation in rooms
The people in the hotel are really friendly and helpful. The bathroom has been recently renovated. Nice breakfast as well. The hotel is next to a gas station, a busy street and a workshop. Which means that at daytime it may be kind of noisy.
For the price £23 euro it was clean tidy people friendly a good bed and nights sleep no English then I have no Spanish I will stay again on a main road close to where I needed to be in the morning dont expect the ritz the cheapest hotel I have stayed in I paid £67 in Santiago and no difference thanks for the bed and friendship
This was for sure a budget hotel but but cannot fault the place. The food in the restaurant was good and value for money. The rooms were spacious clean and comfortable. Unfortunately there was a language barrier and no member of staff spoke english.but then I dont speak Spanish Rooms at the front of the hotel were on a busy main road and at the back a railway line.
Location, extensive buffet breakfast expensive parking considering there was no parking available on the street
Bad smell in bathroom around toilet which was leaking onto the floor. We were moved from a previous room which had a toilet that was also leaking badly.
the breakfast buffet was very good, familial with an extended choice Air conditionning would be a plus. The garage access is too narrow, we stopped using it after scratching the car
nice modern room, calm place near a wonderful beachб free wi-fi everywere in the hotelб very delicious; хороший современный номер, тихое место рядом с отличным пляжем, бесплатный wifi, очень вкусно typical for Spain, evening meal starts at 19-30 (the earliest), as it is a-la-carte you can't finish untill 21 ; если вы привыкли ужинать около 19, то не заказывайте ужины в отеле - типично для Испании, ужин начинается не ранее 19-30, а так как буфета нет (только a-la-carte), то ранее 21 закончить ужинать не получается
The staff were very pleasant and the shower was fantastic The location was poor. There were no kitchen/restaurant at this hotel and so all we had was a basic breakfast of cakes, coffee, juice or croissants. There was no cooked breakfast available. The only positives of the stay were the staff and the deluxe shower.I have stayed in 3 star hotels where the facilities are much superior to this. There were no available pay per view channels. If you look beyond the cotemporary design and layout this was definetely not a four star hotel.
Rooms and bathroom very impressive. View of sea and closeness to beach.
O quarto é espectacular, e a casa de bamho um sonho. Aquele banheira de hidromassagem era fantástica, apenas faltava um pouco de pressão na saida da água.
Nice staff, comfortable and clean room. Very good breakfast when comparing with other 4 star hotels. Not a complaint but be sure you have a car if staying at this hotel.
Amazing room! I think that many 5 star hotel which to have this quality!
The view and the modern decor were very satisfying. The staff were very nice The ultra-modern shower "cabin" was more than we needed and not user friendly. The restaurant was nicely decorated, but too bright and very noisy. I would not eat there again.
Attentive ,helpful staff, excellent buffet breakfast, and 75 meters away from the beautiful and sheltered canelas beach. Expensive car parking for guests staying ay the hotel, this should be inclusive with the room tariff
What I liked the best was the Hotel's cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, it's situation towards the city (it is in the outskirts of Sanxenxo but at about 5 minutes walking) and all the decoration. It is very well decorated in a designish, modern and cozy style.
Room, swimming pool, staff should have a wider range of choice for breakfast
We had dinner in the restaurant and were pleased with the quality of the food and wine.
The entire hotel
Lovely atmosphere beautiful building well maintained.Helpful staff & a very good breakfast buffet.
After walkin the Camino for three days, the Parador was paradise. Clean, quiet and beautiful. We loved the location. Right in the old city.
The room was of small size.
Very convenient location and good value for money The system for opening the doors and accessing the rooms through the garage is too complicated.
Good friendly staff. Willing to impart their local knowledge. Bathroom smelled of staleness, but so did most of the bathrooms we used on this trip.
We liked the friendliness & efficiency of the staff, excellent service. It was a bonus having a garage for your car with access to your room from the garage. no
Very impressed in all aspects that you expect from a hotel in this class. The whole place and area was a very pleasureable experience. A class act that would be very hard to beat for value for money. nothing
the air conditioning was not working in our room and it was very hard to deal with the staff on this matter. in the end, they changed our room but it was hard to make them understand the room was beautiful and the view was georgeous.
The tranquillity of the place and the unobtrusiveness of the staff. The rooms are just a bit too hot, but one can always open the window and let the sea breeze in.
The hotel was right on the water. Letting the ocean breeze into the room if you wish. Quiet, relaxing place with walks along the water.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the views were outstanding. We had the half board and the food was great value. The ladies on reception (fatima and pals) were excellent! The spa is a must. Balconies would have been great.
The quiet location overlooking the bay was wonderful. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel and it matched the first two stays. Very good buffet breakfast. We received a very good rate from Booking.com after having checked directly with the hotel approx. 1 month earlier. Could use more client internetstations or offer a station for adults only as children seemed to monopolize the 2 units.
The location of the hotel, the facilities it has to offer and the view from the hotel bed room was excellent
the fish was exellent, but the meat was not very good (trop salé et trop gras paella was exellent
Excellent value. Good breakfast, typical 4 star in Spain. Tired and did not have to drive to o Grove. Expensive restaurant but good and convenient.
Air conditioning was very poor.
Very nice hotel , nice rooms and bathrooms, very clean (!). Friendly staff, good food and SPA .The hotel is worth of its 4 stars. No balconies.
nice room and pool, excellent breakfast thin walls
Although the hotel had some very beautiful common rooms and the bedrooms were comfortable, it lacked an ambience. Breakfast was nice No restaurant to speak of and we had to travel 10 - 15 kms to find the next village to eat. Difficult to find as the address says Vilagarcia but it is not in Vilagarcia.
very pleasant stay
An interesting building with character, and antique furnishings to the communal areas, and the food was excellnt - one of the best steaks I've ever had. There is a decent sized pool with sun beds and grassed areas, but it has restricted opening times - strangely closed between 1400 and 1600, I think due to supervision issues - but a real nuisance when you simply wish to relax in the sun.
Beautiful hotel. Food OK, but not amazing. Very clean. Staff very accommodating. Very much enjoyed staying here and would choose to stay again Disappointed that there was no wi-fi in the room and it didn't work very well in the common areas.
Great building with a lovely pool Menu was a litle restricted and a very small wine list
Most attentive helpful reception staff with added bonus of having some knowledge of English, not common in Galicia. Good lounges and internet access. Pool not open in late June! Government inspectors blamed. No real garden. Room too hot and close: ch set not to go below 19 deg C. Poor bathroom ventilation. Breakfast not four star standard: relatively poor range of hot and cold meat, cheese, etc., only comprehensive in regard to sweet cakes. No English spkg tv channel, despite availability elsewhere of cnn and sometimes Sky News.
We stayed in one of the hotel suites which was perfect in every detail and we really liked the authentic "castle " feel to the place. We were a little surprised at the restaurant service it didnt quite match the level of quality generally at the hotel but it was ok.
Pool Reception staff not very good
Building and gardens were very pleasant. The quality of care from the staff enabled us to have a relaxing vacation. Swimming pool pleasant and not overcrowded. Lounge areas comfortable and attractive. We found some difficulty initally locating the hotel (as we did not have GPS). The address did not generate easy directions from internet map websites.
Thoroughly recommend this Hotel and we are seasoned travellers.Excellent sea views Quiet at night Good modern design.Very helpful and pleasant staff Comprehensive breakfast included Will stay again.Easy access to Santiago and Pontevedra by car
Friendly and very pleasant hotel. Situated along the river Arousa. Service and rooms very good. Breakfast is enough. Parking
Clean, friendly staff
Helpful and friendly staff. Great view of the beach. The beds were hard, and seemed cheaply made. The 85 euro/night rate seemed too much for the room and services (but maybe the beachfront location explains it).
Well placed, staff spoke English, excellent restaurant Having to pay to use the garage is mean
The staff were very helpful and very plesant. The hotel was clean and tidy. For breakfast there was a variety to choose from and the resturant provided some lovely food (although a little on the expensive side). The location was just out side the main town centre and a 5 minute taxi ride away (7 Euros). Would recommend for a weekend break.
We enjoyed the location and the breakfast!
The new bedrooms, altough more expensive, are far more comfortable The new section was not finished yet: one towel support as still on the floor wrapped and an electric socket had no cover. The breakfast could use some improvement. The bedroom only had one 'attic' window
Close to all restuarants bars and beach Wi Fi did not work in any part of the hotel,Rooms very small and walls paper thin
The location it has good access to the beach 50 meter and it is the best night area in o grove. Esta ubicado muy bueno con la playa y la zona de marchar. Its worth maybe 50-60 euro a night it is very low quality hotel.the rooms are like a nice hostel. Valle no mas de 50-60 euros es un hotel con poca calidad parece como un hostel no hotel.
Attentive staff, large comfortable room, interesting local based menu. An excellent touring area; would definitely return.
Beautiful renovated medieval building. Excellent location on the waterfront. Excellent breakfast, especially the fresh fruit. Some minor weak points: irritating generic classical muzak in the restaurant. No coffee/tea making facilities in the room and no room service before 8am.
The buffet breakfast which was included with the room rate. Also, the terrace with water fountain where there was beverage service was most pleasant. The rooms were large. The carpeting in the hallway and stairway needs to be cleaned or replaced.
THe facility needed some updating. It was near the town center - great in the day, but a booming concert at night made the walls shake and sleep difficult.
we really liked the location,so easy to town, restaurants, board walk and bus station.the parador is very nice and warm and not too austere like some we have visited. when i asked one desk employee for a dinner recommendation ,she snipped "the parador" and then when i politely responded that we would like to walk and dine outside the hotel she sort of rattled off a few places but very quickly and with disinterest as if they were all the same and not worth her time.Made the parador seem desperate for business and was a very stuffy attitude to display to a guest.Another younger girl was quite helpful earlier in telling us interesting port towns close by that we could visit. So I would chalk the dinner incident up to the individual and not the general attitude of the other employees.
The owners Juan Carlos & Rudi, the location and all facilities. N/A
The location is excellent, between Vigo and Pontevedra. The owners go out of their way to recommend touring and gastronomic destinations. The rooms are very good and comfortable, and the restoration of the pld building should please architecture buffs. Directions to the hotel could be improved.
Second stay at this hotel...just as we remembered.Comfortable historical builing friendly helpful staff.
Fantastic welcome and warmth from the owners. Nothing was too much trouble for them.Beautiful rooms and the swimming pool. No, we were very happy with everything.
