This hotel occupies several renovated buildings around a small piazza, close to the port and ten minutes from the main sights. Many come for the famous restaurant La Madia, but we also had a wonderful meal at the port recommended by the staff at the hotel. The bedroom was comfortable but reached by a creaky ladder from the rest of the room and bath.
The front desk worker was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was located conveniently and our rooms were spacious--we had an adjoined double room and triple suite. Air conditioning worked and the bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was served in the courtyard with a nice selection of local pastries and jams.
Very kind and helpful personnel. Perfect location in the old town with walking distance to beach. The room was very special (+++) with an interesting layout and a nice view over the little square. Breakfast buffet including sicilian sweets.
The position and the kindness of the staff
This is unique and memorable. Do not be put off by its authenticity. It is clean and the bathroom is modern and smart. In spite of it being noisy, it goes blissfully silent as can be at about 10 p.m. or so. The receptionist tried to be and mostly was helpful. He was very pleasant about us being late (after a road delay) and when we foolishly locked our key in the room (because the locks are a bit clumsy to manage.) Breakfast was rather dull compared to others and a little pre-packaged. You can eat in a cafe al fresco in the square which is quaint but can be a little busy too. The room can be very noisy with building work, street noises, especially screaming, noisy children. The ancient wooden ceilings mean that any footsteps over your head appear very noisy.
Bath White spots of the quilt (brown). Surroundings doesn't match the style of the hotel.
the concpt of the hotel was perfect no
An excellent hotel, friendly staff, very nice room and well soundproofed, free Wi-Fi, purified water from the tap, very quiet area. It's not easy to find hotel without navigator.
very attentive stafft, clean and stylish rooms, gorgeous sun terrace, delicious breakfast... Getting there is in fact not that easy, but there are many signs pointing you there and if the roads are not closed for construction (as in our case) it is not that hard.
The townsite of Favara was a bit rundown and made our first experience of Sicily a bit of a shock. We drove down a tiny street that barely qualified as a road to find the Belmonte Hotel - a welcome, modern and stylish oasis. It is a perfect little boutique hotel with a lovely village square just around the corner that has free parking. We had dinner at the hotel - exceptional!
Belmonte Hotel is a modern boutique hotel tucked away in the back streets of Favara, convenient for exploring nearby Agrigento (and the temples). The room was stylish and comfortable, with a particularly luxurious bathroom. We had a great three course dinner at the hotel, one of the best meals we had in Sicily. Favara felt quite seedy and we didn't venture far from the hotel as a result. The hotel is extremely hard to get to by car, I'd suggest calling ahead for directions as our sat-nav was unable to find a way to the street address and it is easy to get lost in the back streets.
This hotel was a very nice surprise. Design hotel in a unexpected place. Very good restaurant. The owners are also very friendly and nice. A very good choice to all travellers that are staying near Agrigento. nothing
We liked everything - modern clean room, comfortable bed, good service, really helpful and friendly staff. About 10 minutes by car from Agrigento. Quite difficult to find - GPS is needed.
You feel the care and commitment all the time. Breakfast is "continental", at this place it means that they keep bringing what you want until you are happy. I ate my best tuna steak ever in the Hotel's restaurant, where they a very nice selection of wines as well. A hint: the hotel hotel is near Agrigento, appr. the same distnce from the Valley of Temples as Agrigento itself but in Favara. From the city border the hotel's direction is very well indicated, you'd better follow the signs than use a GPS which will try to take you into very narrow streets.Car parking is on the street but video controlled. I loved this place.
we travel around, visit many old culture places, beaches, travel one vestcost of sicily, we have a very pleasent visit. it was vindy, the breakfest could be better.
This establishment, described on various websites as anything from B&B to 4-star hotel, offers a pleasant overnight stop. The views of sea, montains and castle are splendid. The restaurant is a concession operated by a place in the town and offers a good menu. Although nicely served, the breakfast was a bit thin.
The view You cannot find this place, even a navagon will have a hard time fin ding it. The place flooded during a rain storm and I mean flooded, every room including the lobby flood. Not good considering the hotel is only 2 years old and on a top of a hill.
Beautiful beach and ideal location for vacation of relax. The room rate is very reasonable. No mobile phone access, namely zero signal. Hotel teleohone cost was high and there is no ADSL internet connection. I paid 17 euro for 7-8 minutes of conversation.
very nice place and location. far from the traffic and city. on the beach. personal very kind. big rooms and clean. a good place for relaxing.
