Great location and price-qualtiy ratio
a perfect view into the mountains !!! very relaxing stay
Views were spectacular, beautiful location. Spa facilities very expensive. Lack of privacy on patio area.
The most beautiful location, quiet, peaceful with good food and clean room. However the room was smaller than expected, compared with on-line photographs. It was like an average motel. There were no leaflets in the room to offer advice on facilities and local information such as walks etc. We had to ask. We also found the Spa prices were too high.
Hotel was in nice surroundings with excellent facilities. Staff were professional and helpful. Room was comfortable and well equiped.
Landscape is unforgattable. To have dinner in the restaurant is a very good expirience.
Excellent facility, clean, well planned out, beautiful views of surrounding Umbrian countryside, lovely swimming pool. Food excellent, €32 per head (excluding wine) for dinner is not bad at all. Spa slightly expensive as are drinks and fitness suite (€15 per person per day) however there are only 3 exercise machines! Some Staff totally indifferent towards Guests, not really what you expect from a high quality hotel. If planning to dine outside Hotel you need a car, its quite far from any reasonable sized town.
The country setting was spectacular and the room was very modern with a great view. The restaurant was also very good and reasonably priced. The only unfortunate part was the weather, which did not allow us to use the swiming pool.
A very pleasant and beautifully located hotel. Nice rooms and good service guarantee a pleasant stay. It is a very good resort close to Perugis, Assisi and many other beautiful places in Umbria.
Excellent service & quality of food in the restaurant Lack of detail in servicing the room.; toliet rolls are important!
large swimming pool and very quiet at most places, very kind reception Not yeady ready. Working people. No drinks available near the swimming pool (1.2 km) and to drink something was not very exciting in the hotel.
Great place for rest and enjoying the nature, ideal starting point for exploring not only Assisi but other Umbrian towns (Perugia, Terni, Gubbio, Lago Trasimeno… could be reached in half an hour or at most in an hour by car). It’s really beautiful resort, with nice hotel and stylish cottages. Nice swimming pool, but without stairs to go in/out – very inconvenient. The hotel is not easy to find. There were no signs directing you to the hotel if you coming from St. Maria degli Angeli.
very good breakfast and use of internet, open space in main area to meet business appointments. the restaurant was closed all nights I was there, and after asking how close the nearest restaurant was I was told only 2kl towards town 6kl later we found a restaurant. the shower leaked water under the tiles making bathroom floor wet
Excellent coutnry location outside of the town of Assisi but with a beautiful view of Assisi. Well furnished new resort hotel with good facilities.
Lovely rooms; staff was indifferent; breakfast good No newspaper in English; staff was not very helpful;
Simple and clean hotel at convenient location for touring the countryside. Nothing fancy, but very inexpensive and a good value. If you want to save money but don't want to sacrifice cleanliness, its good to keep in mind. I had no problems with using the WIFI in my room and at breakfast. They also provided a decent simple breakfast. There was road noise and an alarm outside that woke me early in the morning. There was also a loud group that made lots of noise until late at night. The hotel was fine in itself, but because of all the noise I had a terrible night's sleep. I would consider it comparable to a nice highway roadside hotel in the US with a good breakfast.
It locates in the country side (very quiet place), and also not too far to the town(Santa Maria degli Angeli) and high way. Frendly stuff. Room and bath room are very clean and confortable. Nothing
The place of the hotel is quite pleasant notwithstanding some details of an industrial landscape around. The design is rather stylish, a nice combination of rustic and modern styles. Overall nice impression and a good rest. The kitchen in the restaurant is simple but fine. stayed only one day visiting Assisi. To my opinion the territory is rather big and it would be nice to animate it somehow, otherwise the place looks deserted. The personnel behaves a little bit arrogant and seems to be enjoying the place of their job, not catering to guests. And their uniform looks three stars and business hotel which does not correspond to the implied atmosphere of the place... Generally the hotel is just new and it might take time to orchestrate the work of everything. Would be nice to provide a shuttle bus service once a day (go and back ) at least to St. Maria Novella from where it is easier to get a connection to Assisi case there are some travellers who wish to go around and they are without a car.
The location was stunning and so peaceful. We had a beautiful villa, not a single room, in amongst the vinyard with views of the hills and Assisi. It was wonderfully bucolic yet so convenient for touring Umbria. The resort manager was excellent - friendly, professional and generous. However, some of his stylish and rather gorgeous reception staff (initially at least) appeared aloof/unfriendly/unhelpful. Check in was a terse, "cold" and un-Italian affair. Our encounters "warmed" somewhat over the 8 days we were there but we never felt like "valued customers". This was not the case in the Restaurant or elsewhere around the resort - where staff blended professionalism with warmth and hospitality - where we flet welcome.
the hotel is brand new resort facility with nice, spacious room and breakfast is outstanding with fresh squeezed orange juice and exquisite espresso machine. even though it was high season, it was good deal for the money
The reception staff very helpful, clean, beautiful setting, views of assisi etc They said restaurant was fully booked so we had to dine in the breakfast room, the hotel was described as a resort hotel and yet there hardly seemed to be anyone in the hotel at all, we only saw about 8 other people the whole time, and the things offered in brochure all seemed to be shut.
The uniqueness and cleanliness, the subtle service and warmth. Our room/bathroom was an absolute delight.
The restaurant is the high point, especially the wines!! The shower booth was clogged, so the water overflowed, wetting all the floor.
Friendly staff and excellent facilities. Restaurant outstanding No negative comments
The hotel staff is extremely professional. The rooms are excellent and well taken care of. This is a really pleasant and comfortable town to stay in.
Luxury hotel with all facilities to stay for some days to explore Umbria. Good quality restaurant for dinner Room with seperate sitting room spacious with rather poor decoration. Shutters kept close as outside view poor (escape stairs on one side and small terras with high hedges on other side). For longer stays restaurant menu could be improved by proposing set menu changing daily or adding daily specials.
I have been here several times and would come again. Everything is wonderful None!
Friendly service with a willingness to please. We had an enjoyable and unforgettable dinner experience in the hotel. Close to the motorway without noise problems. We stayed in the off-season and got excellent value for money!
A nice family feel to the place and I felt safe even although I was travelling and staying alone
Clean hotel with helpful staff and good food in restaurant. Perugia is perfect central spot to explorer umbria. This hotel is right next to the main road interchanges so provides quick access to getting out and about if your planning to drive/explore the area. The noise from nearby road. Restaurant can be shut (but dont let it put you off - there's good (underground) pizzeria within 5 mins walk).
Our fifth visit, and I suspect not our last. Read the rfeviews on TripAdvisor as well. I agree with all of them except the one which does not give full marks.
L'antico forziere is such a great place to stay, the staff is very friendly and speaks some english. The rooms are good sized, nice clean bathrooms. The Breakfast buffet is delicious. and very convienient in the morning. The one thing that outshined every other aspect is the resturant..definitely 5 star food being served for a 3 star price. Everything was just delicious, there was complementary Proseco, antipasta, and desert. I must say that to stay at the hotel and not eat there either for lunch or dinner during your stay, you are missing out on one of the best meals of your life! It is not your typical traditional Italian meal, it is gives a twist to the traditional meals....It is a must!
The staff was fantastic, the hotel room was the most comfortable we've stayed at in Italy, and the restaurant was amazing. Maybe a little too expensive for us to return as often as we'd like to.
the restaurant the cat
Everything. The room was lovely and the food at the restaurant was outstanding! No
Restarant and staff
The location is terrific for visiting Umbria - Perugia, Assissi, Todi, Montefalco - are all within easy reach. The setting is gorgeous and there are several comfortable public spaces, inside and out, for visiting or enjoying a glass of wine. The breakfast buffet is quite nice also. There are very few restaurants in the immediate town - Deruta. The hotel has a beautiful restaurant with an interesting menu, but most of us were fighting colds while we were there so we did not eat there.
Everything! The food was fantastic. Our time there was the highlight of our vacation!
Very pleasant staff. A very good restaurant offering cuisine which shows a high level of skill and quality. This holel is just off the autostrada, so ambient noise levels outside are quite high, although the rooms are quiet. I think that guests choose to come here for the convenient connections to the autostrada in all directions to tour the region, rather than to sit for long periods relaxing by the pool. The high quality of the restaurant more than compensates for any concerns.
The beautiful surroundings, inside and out. The amazing staff...so helpful and sincere. The restaurant is not to be missed...presentation is awesome, service incredible and the food was delicious.
Enjoyed the dual swimming pools. price fix dinner option
We liked the antique ambiance of the hotel which originally was a monastery or convent. The pool, landscaping and views are wonderful. Parking is easy. To stay at this hotel, however, it would seem that one would need to arrive by car or tour bus. The front desk and bar staff were particularly helpful. For some strange reason that we could not discover and the hotel could not convey, the air conditioning would not work in our room at night which made for a great deal of discomfort.
The location was perfect for a relaxing and comfortable holiday which combined good foood and excellent amenities. lack of adequate parking space during busy periods
Great hotel staff and excellent restaurant. The room was sufficient but nothing too special. Was beautiful location and we really enjoyed the fresh air!
Beautiful location, absolute tranquillity, wonderful surrounding, especially good restaurant with delicious meal. Wastebin was not emptied but anyway the room was clear. A bit expensive compared to the service but the location and calmness compensate it.
We only stayed one night, but it's a beautiful location perfect to visit the region.
Quiet location with pool and restaurant facilities close-by. Room decor. Difficult place to find when travelling from Perugia airport which is situated out from main towns. You have to use the main E45 but getting onto it is not that easy. All signs seem to say go either way! Local restaurants around the hotel are practically nil so you are limited to eating either at the hotel or travelling out every night some distance to reach a wider choice .
Beautiful location, very friendly staff, good breakfast
Fantastic location, excellent restaurant
