Breakfast served in the garden.
Close to the sea and beach with less tourists than other Costa Brava locations. Clean family-run small establishment that was recently renovated. Good value.
very Spanish atmosphere | great location: ca. 50m to the wide and clean beach at the sea! | peaceful and picturesque town | a trip to Barcelona takes less than 1h | clean rooms and friendly service the afternoon shift does not speak English and other languages besides Spanish ;-) | walls are quite thin and far from soundproof - you can hear both the sea (which is nice) and any street noises (which is less nice)
Hotel staff(owner/manager ?) was particularly helpful and even gave us his private parking space for an overnight stop !
Hotel service was excellent in daytime when the owner was there. The room was clean, comfortable and very good value for the money. The location is perfect for going to the beach and close to shopping. The night clerk did not seem to know the hotel very well and spoke no english, so my arrival was confusing. The wifi connection frequenly malfunctioned.
Clean rooms, the hotel is a family business (the owner serves breakfasts himself), kind and helpful staff, intimate venue, 100m from wide and clean beach and railway station. Thin walls - not very comfortable when neighbours are noisy, a bit monotonous breakfasts.
I liked the cleanliness and the breakfast There was mosquitos....but you can buy a spray against them
The staff was polite and helpful. The location was good. The price was reasonable. There is a need for an elevator
Very pleasant atmosphere More choice for breakfast
We did like the food in the buffet. We didn't like the crowded pool
The hotel match the pictures displayed on the site. It was clean and the stuff was very attentive. The hotel would need some improvements to the elevators.
Activities for kids staff was rude!
Close to anything that you could need/want from a beach holiday. Definately a tourist destination very much orientated to this market but absolutely lovely. There was a paid/secure parking lot round the "back" of the hotel but 2 min walk to free parking area. Location leaves nothing to be desired as far as I am concerned, although I dont have children there seems to be loads for little ones to do. Room was clean and bed/matras was good and the bathroom very good. Although on the whole, I found the breakfast good for the price - there was a lot to choose from so I wasn't extremely disappointed that the cereal was quite bad.
Great price and handy location for accesing the tourist areas of Barcelona. Found the staff to be cheerful & helpful. Room was en-suite and clean. I really cant fault the place at all.
Friendly staff - fabulous food, really good value for money. Great location. Tea / Coffee facililties in the rooms would have been nice
I liked where the hotel was placed, next to the avenue and shops.
Convenient location i.e: airport, beach, Barcelona. Dining room could be more organised.
Location and pool area are great
hotel was very clean and entertainment provided every night, breakfast was included, it was awful ever morning , tateless, tea and coffe from machine was distufishing, only drinking water from juice machine, taste of juice, supervisor at door was not very polite, and chef's rude when you asked for something not out on buffe, i stoped eating , went to coffe shop out front, needless to say we did not eat dinner, i would recomend this hotel on room onlly basis
Hotel personnel were very attent and friendly. The room was cleaned very well. The bathroom was adequate Swimming pool small. Not enough parasols by the sunbeds (which we had to pay Euro 1 per day for). Actuall space to move the sunbeds was minimum - all in a row. Not a standard that is by **** hotels. Not possible to rent a fridge only minibar - that is not a fridge.. We only took breakfast. The bread was very bad and some of the warm food had been warming for ages ... Had only one evening dinner - terrible. I was expecting more luxe for a **** hotel - more *** category. Location aweful. will no be returning to Onabrava and definitely not to Santa susanna
The location of the hotel was brilliant. I would suggest that you mention that the railway station is only 5 minutes walk away as we used the trains every day. It would be much more comfortable if the hotel provided the choice of an extra pillow on the bed.
how professional all their staff where.they were warm, friendly, all keen to make everyone enjoy their holiday. i had to upgrade, as double room for two had a five foot bed.i always got a six foot bed in a four star hotel.i had young kids!
We liked the presentation and comfort in the room, reasonably sized balcony and bathroom with good facilities. The cleanliness and cleaning staff were top notch. Good variety of food. Good value for money. Peoples on the receptions - they did not care about customers requests.
I liked the pool which was very big. I liked the foyer area. Breakfast was good. Reception staff were not friendly. Had to pay extra for sunbeds, safe and refrigerator!!! No coffee making facilities. No wifi in rooms. Very basic furnishings for a 4 star hotel. Dining room too cramped. Very expensive.
Good 4 star with traditional Spanish qualities. Friendly bar staff and good service. Buffet meals very good. A certain member of reception who tried to charge us twice for car parking despite having the receipt. She was very rude and let down the whole hotel's standards.
The lack of rooms that could sleep 2 adults and 2 small children. Also there should be a way to include the indoor swimming pool into the hotel fee.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean, modern and very comfortable. Breakfast is georgious. Everything extra is charged like a fitness room, internet and car parking. Car parking costs 8€/day? Wi-Fi works only in public areas
Breakfast Charge for use of indoor pool
The Hotel was clean, the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and it was in a good location to beach, shops and restaurants. Nothing.
Clean and comfortable The noise during the night kept me awake. Request a room that is not over looking the pool and this should solve the noise problem.
It is near to the beach. Food variety is good.Is fresh. The wall is so thin, You can hear everything from next room. You can sleep when your neighbor is going to sleep. . I think if guests with family are located at one floor or in one direction, to separate with guests with no family, it will solve the problem.
Warm, clean, central location Hotel clean, but somewhat tired. Needs refurbishment to justify very high prices.
Location Windows not doubled glazed so if you are on the 2nd floor as we were, you get to hear the traffic passing, the two coach loads of teenagers waiting for their bus at 7am in the morning and the engines of the coaches running and the draught that came through the window frame in the evening !!
The hotel staff were friendly and helpfull and nothing was a any trouble for them.Great food,
The hotel is Ok for the money it costed, the rooms are good and clean, the receptionists speak English, it is well-located - near the beach - only a couple of minutes, and near to the main street. The hotel is quite old, the rooms are renovated but the "open spaces" are visibly old. The only people in the hotel who speak English are the receptionists - all the other staff cannot or doesn't want to speak English and it is very difficult even to ask for a glass of water. The resort is very noisy - it is perfect for people who are using their vacation for going to discos but definitely good sleep is not something to be expected. The walls in the hotel are also very thin and you could hear your room-neighbours as if they were in your own room. However, these problems are typical for all the hotels in the resort. Therefore, this one is a good choice compared to the others.
The reception desk was very friendly and helpful Bar personnel was not always available and not always very friendly
Have stayed at this hotel a number of times, a couple of times with my 3 children. My children love it here. Food is excellent. Hotel is very quiet at night and staff are extremely helpfull. Most of them speak english. The hotel is in a good location for all amenites. 2 minute walk to beach and five minute walk to shops.Would recommend this hotel to anyone. First class. Absolutely nothing.
N/A It was worst experience in my life. Since we arrived, the receptionist's attitude made us feel unwelcomed, insisted to pai in advance. The room was filthy, cigatette aches on the floor, bedding wasnt changed, no toilet paper noor towels.Filthy restorante including it's staff, and the food that even pigs wont eat.
I am quite content with stay in this hotel, everything was OK.
The location and food/drinks are excellent. The furniture in the rooms is very old..the doors also. The rooms is not modern, but the sea view and the food saved the entire vacation.
Perfect holiday location and buffet meals included were great. Very happy and do recommend. If staying in front be aware of Disco noise until 11pm so get a back room.
Value for money would be hard to beat. Expensive charge for parking on a small piece of spare land.
We stayed at Los Pinos for 5 nights, with half board. And we was very pleased with the food. There was plenty of different dishes every day. And the breakfast was very good too. ????Can´t say there was any.
Good location Reception staff surly & unhelpful. Rooms rather tatty, with worn out bedlinen. Be very careful buying drinks at the bar - we were given short change, not once, every time.
Nice location, 50m from the beach
The rooms were quite big with a big balcony and even bigger bathroom. The beach was just a minute away. We could hear the noise from the animation (until 23h). For the breakfast it would be nice to have other meat beside pork but for the price we payed it was ok. We wouldn't recommend the all inclusive.
The hotel staff were very friendly and extremely professional ladies and they were very accommodating to our needs and requirements. We had a fantastic stay. Most of the hotel has had a recent refurb and it looks fresh and modern The location is fantastic with amazing sea views, the train stn straight across the road taking you to either Blanes or Barcelona, good selection for breakfast and the hotel has a general feel good factor about it! A great holiday all round. No
Excellent staff. Clean, calm and quiet. Pleasant buffet. Nice airy stairscases. Pleasant bar and pool areas. Children loved the glass lifts.
Location was perfect for our needs- very near the station - with sea views.Good choice of drinks at the bar.Reception staff helpful, and changed our room very quickly on arrival. Breakfast was always the same. Chemical smells from cleaning materials. Gym not as advertised, small pool which would be packed in the middle of summer.
Everything was good, nice place, easy to find.
Very nice staff .Our objective was visiting Barcelona so we did not have much time to really enjoy our room. They had a great breakfast. A very quiet place, full of old couples and some children family! There were some small ants in the room but they were but they were inoffensive and even charming once you get used to them!!
Very(!) friendly staff + awesome buffet
A good selection at Breakfast, and able to obtain Breakfast at 7am on last day. None
closeness to beach
The sea view
The hotel is very close to the beach and to the train station . The rooms are nice and clean . The staff was very friendly when we arrived. The juice of fruits is not natural . The walls are very thiny and there is no privacy, I could heard all the noise from the other rooms.
The staff were great, location was good. Good prices. The room was spacious. This is not a 4* hotel, but a decent 3*! based on that criteria it's excellent, but thinking you're going to stay in a 4* it's disappointing, especially at mealtimes. If you can reserve it at 3* prices then go for it you've nothing to lose!the food is very average, both breakfast and dinner. The coffe & juice at breakfast were quite awful and not even up to 2* standard.
Nice hotel with a very good quality-price ratio. I liked a design. And it was very nice that stuff have carried out all my wishes about room location and contents. I think could be a little bit noisy in a high season.
It was in a good location for familes. Everything was convenient, shops, restaurants, playgrounds etc. On site facilites were very good for families also. I did not like the sofa bed. It would be ok for a short break but not for a full week. Also the playground on the hotel grounds was very small and too hot to play in. Other hotels we have stayed in had a canopy over play area which was great shelter for kids.
The family suites are very nice and the hotel has a clean look. The staff was very helpfull. The bathroom looked older than the rest of the room. The rooms are very noisy. We didn't like the breakfast. There's a lot of it but the quality isn't very good. Especially the coffee and fruit juices are terrible. Wifi access is also very expensive at 10€ per day.
Convenient location, spacious room with very generous closet space, good selection of food at brekfast and excellent facilities for families Restricted parking facilities could be a problem during high season.
The suites were very nice, it´s great with seperate bedrooms when you travel with kids. Free parking nearby The queue at breakfast was too long - even when there were plenty of free tables in the restaurant
Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and tidy. Excellent location, just a short walk to the promenade and beach but far enough away from the noise at night.
we loved the the cleanliness and the spacious rooms. staff were friendly and helpful, food was fresh and plentiful - would go back again. didn't like the noise from the bar, the cigarette smoke drifting up to our room from outside the bar every night, nor the ash and cigarette ends which ended up on our balcony from the rooms above. some of the guests could be a bit rowdy but we didn't frequent the bar so had no problems.
That the hotel was renovated recently, that the reception staff was friendly and helpful, that Callela had a quiet and pleasant atmosphere and that it was near Barcelona. That the drinks for the all inclusive menu weren't the real thing (the Coke wasn't real Coke), that the dining room could be improved, same with the food and that the sunbeds near the hotel's beach bar weren't free. Also, the cleaning staff from the upper levels were rather slow, sometimes we didn't have our room clean until 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
The hotel staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. the quality and variety of food in the restaurant was excellent. Hotel was very impressive with its cleanliness and facilities. It you are thinking of booking this hotel please do so you won't be disappointed Nothing negative can be said of this hotel
The hotel was classed as 4 star, I dont know who gave it this rating as it would be at best a poor 3 star. The dining room service was terrible, people had to queue up for a cup of tea. The quality of the food was comparble to that of prison food. There was poor sound-proofing between rooms and you could here those next door coughing, talking etc
1. Crowd for breakfast, 2.Too noise of young neighbours early in the morning 3. Uniform and plain food (mess commons) for breakfast
-very friendly staff (reception and too restaurant); -clean and nice room with balcon; -bathroom with shampoo+gel+tooth brush; -very and good food; -open swimming pool in Januar (indoor); - nice place (not directly on beach - 350m, but nice - pinies etc)
Good size rooms which were very clean & comfortable. I loved the location of the hotel - a 10 minute walk down to the many shops and restaurants. The beaches are absolutely beautiful again a 10 minute walk from hotel. We did not eat much in the hotel but I was impressed by the high quality of the food and variety in the evening. The hotel staff could do with attending a customer service course! The place was run to suit the staff and not the guests with too many unneccessary rules and regulations! The staff are very rude and tended to bark orders to the guests instead of politely asking. I felt uncomfortable and embarrassed on a few occassions.
On arrival we were told we were at the wrong hotel, when I showed my booking form the then said tHEY had overbooked and we had to be moved to a diffrent resort. I refused to move resorts and was eventually given a small box room that was meant to sleep 2. I will not book through your company again or this hotel as my holiday was ruined due to staff attitude and being let down by my booking. AS I have said above, and the entertainment consisted of a spanish old age pensioner disco.
Food was very good.
The check-out The environment on this hotel is "teenager on all include holidays", consequently the staff treat all the customers as teenagers (independent of their age). The staff is very rude, ask pre-payment and confiscates the guest's passports during the stay. The hotel should put kindergarden employees on the corridors all nigh to take care of the drunk teenager and making possible for the other guests to sleep.
nothing the hotel was very poor
Found it great for familys. Staff helpful and good location for beach and shops and restaurants. Food could have been better
The hotel was great value for money, the staff were helpful and the room clean and comfortable. We arrived very late after dinner had finished and were offered snacks inn the dining room which we really appreciated, no other hotel in this area has done that when we arrived late.
The staff was very carefull and prestable. Some room improvements were needed. There were some old equipments.
I liked the time we had away from your hotel, this is not a family hotel its for noisy louts and for people who do not remotely care where they stay. the food is terrible and the staff rude.
We had stayed at this hotel before and although there are a lot of students staying the hotel is great value for money, the staff are all helpful and friendly and the hotel is in a great location.
Good and helpful personnel at the reception, Short period for breakfasts and dinner comparing with number of people staying in it
There are very much tumultuous Britisch people in the hotel. There was lots of noise, also during the night
Nothing, the rooms were very dirty, and the staff was very unpolite. Very noisy, the food was bad and beds was very hard uncomfrtable and very simple standard.
Good price, swimming pool is nice. The buffet was OK. Wi-fi was ver intermitent and only available on the lobby.
stuff was very nice and helpful in room there wasn't any glasses and fridge also no hair dryer
It was a short walk to beach and shops. The rooms were clean and of good size.good size pool and plenty of sunbeds.plenty of places to sit and have a drink.
For the price you can't go wrong. The rooms were fine, maid service excellent, evening entertainment was really good. Easy access via Renfe train from Barcelona changing at Sants Estacio for the airport. Only cost £7 - £8 return. Trains ever 20 mins or so. The gammon was the best I have ever tasted and there was always 5 or 6 choices for hot evening meal as well as salads. The staff were great and the reception staff especially helpful, Food was fine but they could have put fried eggs on every morning and we didn't have cooked tomatoes once. The bacon was also too fatty so we didn't have cooked breakfasts. There were plenty of alternatives though so we did have plenty to eat. Also this is the first hotel where we were given a half hour slot for evening meal, we were told to go in at 7.30 to 8.00 pm although obviously could stay as long as you wanted and eat as much as you want!
That was holiday.
Excellent multi language staff, good restaurant, convenient placement, good price for staying Not very good noise proof so sometimes it's noisy in the room because of neighbors
access to town within walking distance; breakfast buffet was excellent; balcony holiday time so the beach town was loud as well as noise from the train; no ice; front desk does charge percentage for money exchange
The generous spirit of hotel staff and local people in aiding my stay that I didn't book a longer stay
It was next to the railway station so you could get out to Barcelona very easily. almost all of the staff could speak Dutch, it was not an spanish experience. It looked like we were still in our home town. Terrible! Futhermore it was way to expensive for what you get. Also Calella is not a Spanish style, but rather some kind of theme park with the theme: being turistic.
I was competing in the Half Challenge Barcelona and this is probably the closest hotel to transition. The hotel even put on an early breakfast at 5am for competitors. The hotel is next to the train station, which makes for early wake ups if not prepared although this wasn't a problem for me.
Excellent location: close to the beach and the center of town, not far from Barcelona (about 40-50 km) with good transport connection. There were no problems with parking. Hotel staff is very frendly. Restaurant is excellent. Good room & hotel facilities. It's a bit noisy from the nearest railway.
Although the hotel is situated near the railway station this is by no means a negative point, the trains are quiet and the close proximity to the station means close proximity to the beach. The staff very friendly, the hotel clean and the town and bars close enough to enjoy without encrotching into the hotel itself.
The cleanliness and the view of the beach from our balcony Nothing
The choice of breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpfull Having to check out!
secondtime at hotel liked everything that was going on
the friendlyness of all staff reception through to domestic .comfort in reception and dining room choice of food although some days were better than others.
no refrigerator in the room
Have been many times always very clean & friendly staff, ideal for families Beds too hard
It was my best holidays ever. Thanks
I thought the entertainment staff were excellent We could not get out the front of the hotel after some of the staff left. It was the end of the season but it was rediculous to expect people to go the long way round, along a not well lit street.
Excellent staff, meals and entertainment and air-con in room plus many TV channels Toilet space minimul, crammed between wall and bath.
The seaview from the balcony and nothing else! Oh yes, the girl at the reception had beautiful blue eyes. That's all we liked during our stay at this hotel. Food is awful, has no taste, only smells bad aswel as the hallway. Don't eat at the hotel! When you step out of the elevator and walk to your room, you feel sick. I can still remember the smell. Room is dusty, no wi-fi in hotel, zoo in front of the hotel is a very good idea but the animals seem neglected - I am not sure weather mice are meant to be there with the peacock? I don't understand why they have an outside elevator when its glass is so dirty, do they ever wash it? This is the worst hotel I've ever been to. It was cheap, about 70 Euros/ 1 night but I would never do it again! There should be an "give me my money back" option!
This hotel offers a perfect combination of swimming pools and beach, a small zoo and a playground, and entertainment in the evenings, just ideal for children. The restaurant offers great buffets every day (with over 100 different dishes). There was no small refrigerator in the room and we had to ask for new soaps from the personnel, since they were not left after room cleaning. We are unaware if it is customary to leave tips at hotels in Spain. We did not experience it from others. At restaurants, it is expected that a tip of about 10% the value of what was consumed is left.
Great hotel, 3rd visit and each time have thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff really friendly, rooms & hotel really clean. Lots of pools for the kids and really close to the beach. My only very minor gripe is that the sunbeds were a little uncomfortable. There were some more comfortable ones, but these usually had towels on them before breakfast!!
easy access to beach and shops etc
The buffet breakfast had an excellent variety.
Close to beach, town and main road.
indoor pool was useful as the outdoor pool was too busy due to the amount of young teenagers there ( summer season ) bathroom could have done with re-grouting ( small point but it made it look unclean )
Nice location. Close to the beach. Busy, even slightly out of season. Breakfast was good value, at least some hot food on offer which is not common. Parking is a nightmare. It is a lottery. Do not park in the garage up the street as the space to get out is almost impossible and the wall is covered in rubber protection because even in a Smart car you would probably drive up against the wall.
Everything was conveniently located. The buffet was the best Ive ever had. I usually keep away from inclusive stuff because im never satisfied. I had low expectations with breakfast and was very impressed. Staff was fun and helpful. No air conditioning when wanted. Mostly the window did the job but there was a time a wanted a/c and I was told that I would only get hot air.
peace, food, pool
The staff spoke Spanish, English and German. Good breakfast (see minus). Silent area close to beach and town center. The price did not include use of safety-box, internet or refrigiator. For this you have to pay extra and that is irritating since it is not the normal situation at hotels at similar standard. On top of this the secured parking cost more than average. To have a lactose and gluten free breakfast (essential to one of us) minimized your choices.
I've participated to a triathlon Ironman in Calella and for this event, this hotel has especially served a breakfast for competitors at 5:00 am. It's a service very appreciated.
the calmness the elevators
It is not high only 4 floors only euro sports and cnn in english
staff and food noise between rooms
Breakfast was amazing. Hotel is fresh & clean. Breakfast ends at 10 AM, a little early. Room was above children's play pen so very noisy.
Pretty good hotel if you have no high requirements to the size of the room for fur people. Reastaurant is very good.
very good hotel situated next to shop area and at a 3 minutes walk to the beach. excellent food(a lot of sea fruits) and staff. the dining area was a little too crowded
Nice hotel in a nice location, close to the train station. Rooms are modern and very clean. Walls are rather thin, noise from rooms next door easily penetrate through the wall and can disturb you. Breakfast not available before 7:45, so no breakfast if you're on business and need to leave early.
The hotel is located near the beach and more or less near the railway station. There were a lot of various food in the restaurant. The drinks for the dinner are too expensive. E. g. A cup of tea from the teabag - 1.5 EUR, 0.5 l of Coca-Cola - 2 EUR. The walls are too thin, so I could hear the elevator's movement next to my room.
We like to seat on the balkony. The location was very good. The coffee in the mornning. The hotel demand check out very early.
Close to the beach, friendly staff, clean room, nice restaurant near by. Family room is the same with standart room just added extra bed but price increased on 50%. We hade some problem with noise nights becouse the next door guests were very "energetic" with songs, drinks etc. It means there is a not good isolation between rooms.
