With a stay at Cabo de Palos Rooms in Cartagena (Cabo de Palos), you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Mar Menor and La Manga Club. Featured amenities include microwave in a common area and refrigerator in a common area. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: There were beds...and a TV (which for unknown reasons was situated on top of a tall closet)
Cons: Firstly, had to wait 3h to be let in owner not present and would not answer calls. Did not expect to share apartment with the owner. Room were dirty, half eaten cracker on the side. Owner couldn't find the keys for a while and as for breakfast...oh boy...it was a brown slice of toast and luke warm coffee...and those were the only options. Had to share shower with the owner and a cockroach...owner.also came into our room when we were out. As for checking out... the owner basically kicked us out by midday!
Pros: was cheap and really well located
Cons: it had a funny smell and the hotel is inside a group of houses so you have to call first or otherwise you wont know where it is. No sign.
Cons: The check in was a disaster, not well organized at all. The woman who came to open the door didn't know anything, the room was not prepared, so I got another room. But also this one was not prepared. I had to make the bed on my own, the sheets were on the dryer. Also there is a water heater in the room which makes noise. In the morning there was no electricity in the whole house. Also in the kitchen the gas bottle for the stove was not connected. It's easy to see that the owner only want to make profit from the place without investing effort and not providing services.
Pros: The owner was a very nice lady. Doesn't speak English, but that's fine, we speak Spanish. Close to the beach, the market, restaurants and bars. Nice area. Beautiful in summer, but a little too windy for me in winter. I will go back as soon as the weather is warmer. Small place, so you're not up to your armpits in tourists.
Cons: The weather could have been better, but what do you expect in February. And the owner can not be blamed for the weather. She was great.
