Very friendly staff, good breakfast, clean rooms and nice bathroom
once in the hotel all was excelent this hotel even with directions is difficult to find
spacious room, friendly staff and atmosphere
Second stay at this hotel good location modern comfortatble hotel with reasonable set meal costs Private parking also available
fantastic staff and service with wide clean rooms. I would give 5 stars for this hotel.
great and fabulous room. easy way to go by car. staff excelent.
Wide and clean room. Internet service is not free of charge though hotel information in Booking.com is free.
Staff were very efficient. Location was ideal for my requirements. Would stay there again if ever the need arose
A functional hotel for all purposes.
good comfortable room at competitive price, food quality good but quite expensive
hotel clean and well designed. staff were all freindly and polite.
Visited town and port area. Position in town.
It was a beautiful hotel in a small coastal town the depended on ship-building and fishing for livelihood - quite a contrast to its surroundings. Because it was early May, there were few other guests, so there was little 'nightlife' when we were there. No one ate breakfast or sat in the lobby - but that meant it was very quiet. The breakfast cost 11 euros so we ate at nearby cafes.
Friendly modern hotel Bedroom carpets rather stained needing changing
Lovely quiet location overlooking beach, close to good bars and restaurants.Recently refurbished to a high standard.Short drive from airport. Pool not filled but was the end of May so perhaps too early in the season
It's closing for refurbishment in the New Year and will then be 4 star, and more expensive !!!
The hotel location is very good; the rooms are big. There is a problem with the hotel buiding concept: as the rooms windows are huge (which is nice), the rooms facing the sea, at the end of the afternoon - at least in the summer - get so much sunlight that the rooms temperature are intolerable and the air conditioning system can't solve the problem (we had to ask to change to another room facing the street). These room's bathrooms don't have air conditioning and, due to that, you just can't say longer than one minute there at the end of the afternoon, in the summer. The whole hotel cleanliness is sloppy, as you notice some small details in cleanliness which are intolerable. The breakfast (food and service) is, undoubtly a 3 star hotel breakfast.
The location close to the sea.
amazing hotel, modern style, great sea view, good restaurant, excellent value for money paid. 1- no internet in rooms even though it advertises that wifi is possible in the entire hotel. not true, they only have it it the public area and, never had it in the rooms.2 - room is boiling hot, one wall is all glass and the sun hits on. heavy curtains and air con did help a bit, but still - very hot until sunset.we stayed there in late September, not so bad, but I can imagine what it's like in summer. That said - all the rest was fantastic.
Good location. The sea, restaurants and some shops are at walking distance. It takes a 5-minute drive to a proper beach. The room is contemporary decorated and very clean. Friendly staff, but no one speaks English, so be sure bring your dictionary.
The location and view across the bay to A Corunna. A clean and modern hotel.
It's a very quiet hotel, the surroundings are great, and very close to La Coruna central city. There are several beautiful beaches and even great mountains
Rooms were extremely comfortable and the views impressive.
the sea view is amazing, perfect romantic walkways near the beach, the rooms are well-design and feel fresh and clean. Sea view is obligatory, the front-faced rooms have half the chemistry.
Nice place to stay for the night. Rooms are big, clean and calm. Good quality for the price. Nothing much to do around though. Food is avoidable.
The contemporary feel of the hotel. Very clean and staff very helpful. No room service after midnight. A complementary bottle of water in fridge for when guests arrive and a microwave in the kitchen would be handy.
Excellent value. Spacious, modern, clean rooms. Quiet. A lot of parking space.
Quiet location, good sized room, clean and comfortable
Peaceful, out of town but within easy access, nice views of A Coruna Hotel Main door driveway!
It was ideal for our purpose. To see La Coruna and the countryside around Everything perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everything! The entire stay was amazing. The staff, the location, the rooms... everything was perfect. I can honestly say that it was one of my best experiences at a hotel.
Quiet area. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Generally good experience overall. We would have no problem recommending this hotel. Although the weather was not too hot we might have used airconditioning once or twice. However, the AC was not working.
Spacious room and facilities Restaurant menu limited
We went to La Coruna and to the beach, you can walk to the beach.
Grand hundred year old fully renovated building centrally located.Street parking free and close.Surrounded by other nicebuildings and good supermarket.Did not eat here so cant comment but can recommed Nautica restaurant great Rijo wines and food,
OK hotel for business stay. Internett service was unstable.
The location was good for walking around town. No, it was quiet and well run
Staff friendly and helpful, good english spoken on reception. Set breakfast dear but coffee and croissant cheap. Very difficult to find with very narrow streets with cars parked on both sides. When found difficult to access. Were very pleased that we had booked a garage space.
central, close to supermarket, wireless, good room, garage facility, breakfast good choice difficult accessibility, parking in area is nightmare must make use of garage facility, rooms in front can be noisy, breakfast not included, not coffee/tea making facility in room
Very reasonable No desk in the room.
no coffee facilities after 10 o'clock pm. 4 stars??
Comfotable, clean efficient friendly staff Sound insulation form corridor quite poor and I was kept awake until about 01:00 by noise of returning guests.
Nice clean room, friendly service Room was not set up well to use laptop and internet service was slow
clean and modern no free wifi
Big romms, nice staff at the reception, very fair prices, nice beds, good location
The location is really one of the best, but can be difficult to find by car. The street in front of the hotel is a walking-street only, but it's ok to park and let off the luggage. The pictures of the hotel rooms do not match the actual room. The rooms are much less modern.
staff were excellent only one thing off puting was had made them aware that wanted a matremonial room and if couldnt give me that then to let me know as would have booked the almirante when arrived they told me that the sea view room wasnt available offered matremonila room at back which was tiny and looked onto a brick wall as result had to take twin for 5 days which spoilt my stay on the accomodation side the price of breakfast was a bit exspensive
The location Very difficult to find because of road works in Ferrol
We arrived very late - about 2.30 am - and hence did not have a lot of time to assess the hotel. However, the room was large and comfortable, the bathroom was well equipped and also large, we had free wireless internet. We spent a comfortable night before setting out again around noon time. Nothing we did not like. The hotel looks out over Ferrol harbour - ships in port and the usual sights. One point - the website said it was 17.5 km from La Coruna (our business destination the next morning). It is in fact about 50 km from La Coruna. This should be corrected on your website.
The staff were helpful polite and very accommodating.Bags were taken to the room and mini bottle of bubbly on our arrival for my birthday. The location was perfect in the centre of town. Rooms were spacious and clean.
A very clean and tidy hotel that is kept to a high standard. The town is small and charming, perfect for a half day visit. The breakfast was extremely sparce. We were given square white bread from an industrial bakery that tasted like cardboard. Surely fresh pastry or bread from the local bakery would not have been too difficult to offer clients?
Hotel Garelos saved our day. We were booked in at a 4*Hotel in Santiago del Compostella, and owing to road repairs could not access our chosen hotel at all. Thanks to Booking.com they manage to get us a last minute booking at a small hotel in Batanzos, only about 40 minutes in the direction in which we were going. It was only 2 star, but it was clean, comfortable, and friendly, though very little English spoken. This hotel was The Garelos, which also had air-conditioning. Obviously, only being 2* star, we couldn't have an evening meal and Batanzos itself, had very few restaurants available serving food, but hundreds of cafe/bars, only serving coffee and drinks! In answer to the two questions below I would recommend the hotel for anyone in the area needing a base and the second question is not applicable.
