Pros: We loved the furnishings. It is a beautiful charming place that blends in perfectly with the surroundings. Alberto is a great host and gave us detailed info on the what to do’s and where to eat. Thanks to his guidance, we were able to plan perfect days.
Cons: Beds could use some updating for better comfort.
Pros: Alberto made us feel more than welcome. He's done an outstanding job in repurposing a 700 year old building. The area is really beautiful.
Cons: It's not easy to find. We had a lot of problems with the GPS in a very rural area. So don't expect stores and restaurants within walking distance. Also be aware that restaurants in the nearby town of Pontedeume don't open for dinner until 8 or 9 PM and that the nearest market closes between 3 and 5 PM.
Pros: A must stay for at least 2 nights Wonderful host If you want to touch silence this is a place to go We will be back Ralph and Simone
Pros: This is a beautiful rural property just out of Pontedeune. It is better if you have a car. The Casa is next to the old castle and is beautifully furnished. Great location to wind down and watch the world go by.
Cons: There is no meal provided by the property, so a car is necessary to access restaurants in town.
Pros: I enjoyed every single moment of my stay at Casa do Castelo de Andrade. This was truly the most incredible stay of all my time on various routes of the camino. Words cannot describe it accurately. Sensually areousijf at every turn: the surrounding property, the music, the best bed, the bath, the breakfast!! Everything is perfect. Eat a large lunch beforehand in Pontedeume, and bring something with you for dinner. You can take a taxi easily from taxi stand at the bridge. The hosts are beautiful people who made my stay absolutely the best ever. So grateful I booked a night here. Wish it had been at least one more. LOVE this place!!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
Pros: This place is located in an exceptional setting. The owners where extremely friendly and had put a lot if thought into creating a relaxing environment for their visitors.
Cons: Sadly they ran out of white wine before we arrived.
Pros: This was no doubt the best hotel we ever stayed at. The owner, Alberto, offered free upgrade of our room to the best one as a birthday present for me. The amount of attention to details and thought that went into designing this hotel is simply incredible. My wife and me were stunned by the fact, that Alberto and his lovely wife did all the design on their own. Watching sunset through a huge panoramic window with accompanying classical music in the background was an unforgettable experience. As well as talking with such intelligent and educated host! Even orange juice during breakfast matched the interior :))) We would recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a perfect getaway and hope we will return here some day!!!
Cons: I wish there was a restaurant on site or in close proximity. Given Alberto's attention to the details, I think it would be another unforgettable experience :)
Pros: Everything about this establishment is first class. The proprietors are wonderful and so accommodating. Casa do Castelo de Andrade is a paragon of hospitality and quality. There is great attention to detail in all things — from the appointments within the rooms, to the common areas, to the breakfast, etc. If you are visiting the Ferrol or Pontedeume area, this is THE place to stay. Fantastic!
Cons: The 16 year-old Golden Retriever, the Castelo mascot, passed away last year! Having seen him in the website video we were really looking forward to meeting and being entertained by him.

Pros: We really enjoyed the kindness and hospitality given us by everyone. Nelson thank you especially for the help and the great food which was by far the best we had in our theee days on Pontedeume.
Cons: The bath facilities were a bit challenging but the room was spacious and comfortable.
Pros: I loved the sound of the stream outside the window.
Cons: Bath did not include a shower
Pros: Warm and friendly welcome by the owner. They have one apartment to rent which is above the restaurant. The apartment is quiet spacy with a great sunny balcony. It is located at a street but did not disturb us as the traffic was minor during night. Walk to the city takes 10-15min along the river. We had dinner at their restaurant which was good. A tortilla was just made for us even if it was not in the menu.
Cons: The apartment was quiet dusty which is a pity considering that it is really nicely furnished and decorated. There is only a bathtub and no shower.
Pros: Really fantastic stay!Best accommodation I have stayed in for a long time!Amazing room, excellent hosts and luxurious bath...great after a long days walking. Can't recommend highly enough!
Pros: The most comfortable bed I slept in for ages. Lovely terrace to sit out on and a fantastic breakfast. The owner who checked us out when we were leaving is a beautiful soul and it was a pleasure to be her guests.
Pros: Lovely ambiance and hospitality. We couldn't have felt more at home. The owners were terrific ambassadors, not just for their property, but also Galicia. We would be delighted to return there in the future.
Pros: This is a great place to stay, its quirky and unusually decorated which we loved. Lovely and spacious, very clean, comfy beds, (quilt was a bit too warm for September though), coffee pod machine, great breakfast. Very friendly host. Pleasant 10-15 min walk on a pedestrian walkway into the town. Adds an extra 1km to Camino walk but that was ok.
Cons: Busy road runs just outside which made it a little noisy.
Pros: Lovely setting in the country. Excellent restaurant and lovely staff.
Pros: The room was huge so we could spread out. The beds were luxurious. The food was amazing and one of the best dinners we had in Spain. We had a small patio to sit on. Overall it was our nicest places we stayed on our Camino Ingles walk. The kitchen was closed on Sunday evening but the whipped up this amazing dinner.
Cons: We thought it was cold at night & wanted to turn on the heat on in our room. Neither us or the manage were able to get it to work but it almost didn’t matter because the beds were so warm & delightful, we almost didn’t want to get up in the morning.

Pros: Good value accommodation for the Camino. Located a little out of town but if you walk up the steep hill to it you can pick up the Camino in the morning without returning to town. Bar and simple value restaurant.
Cons: Located by a busy road but compensated by ease of set off in the morning.

Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable and apple breakfast cake was delicious!!
Pros: La Cena is wonderful at EUR9, three courses, unlimited and excellent wine and freshly cooked while you waited.
Cons: Difficult to get to if you are a pilgrim.
Pros: Nice place to rest in Camiño with a restaurant right next to it
Cons: It is around 1 km from the official trail of Camiño and to return to it the indications are scarce and may induce some mistakes...
Pros: Friendly staff , bar & restaurant attached so so handy . Open in the morning for breakfast ! Room was nice and warm with heating on all night .
Pros: Very kind staff and very clean structure. We are doing the Camiño Ingles Di Santiago and we were happy to understand that it was quite near to the Camiño so no extra road at all. The staff provided us with useful instruction on how to get to the Camiño in the quickest way which avoided us to waste time looking for the right path. We had also a delicious dinner and breakfast at very competitive price. Very recommended especially if you are pilgrims of the Camiño Ingles.

Pros: We had a sea view and could hear the waves crashing
Cons: There was no bar or restaurant service in the hotel. Not the hotels faults but there was some kind of rave happening across the water until 3am and the noise carried.
Pros: Location was brilliant. Obviously a very popular location as it got very busy in the afternoons, but before and after the crowds arrived it was lovely. Very useful that the hotel had its own car park!
Cons: There were workmen making lots of noise in the street from quite early in the morning. Room was pretty dated and could do with plugs for the sink and bath.
Pros: Great service and spot near the beach....-:)
Pros: Really nice friendly staff at reception bar and dining room. Hotel on beach.
Cons: Bar/restaurant closed Property needed renovation
Pros: Clean, friendly staff and in a good location.
Cons: Having a room facing the road made it noisy
Pros: The receptionists were fantastic! So kind and helpfull.
Pros: For the cost of the hotel breakfast was not included, and the cost of the breakfast was expensive.
Cons: Did not like much about the hotel itself, but the activities around it was very nice. The staff was very an informative, and not helpful.
Cons: Horrible old musk, dusty smell. The manager was rude and unfriendly. He refused to change my room. Tiny television from the 70’s. He had modern rooms available but he refused to give me one.

Pros: Nice dinner
Cons: Place could be cleaner and more organised. Breakfast food sitting out all day.
Pros: This a hotel is at the top of a very steep hill and we were exhausted when we arrived but it also meant we didn't need to do that climb first thing the following morning. Worth it for that alone. Had a laugh as the chef tried to explain pork chops to us. "Peppa pig" he exclaimed. And very tasty they were too!
Pros: Staff super helpful . Food was superb and very good value.
Pros: Very friendly polite staff very helpful very nice
Pros: The best breakfast buffet we have seen in Spain! The hotel is up the hill above the town of Pontedueme; we took a taxi downtown for only 5 euro. We were walking the Camino Ingles, and the location, up the hill, saved us some climbing the next day.

Pros: The location and the facilities were great, family friendly. They have a faithful clientele. The staff was very professional.
Cons: Parts of the Hotel need to be remodeled.
Pros: location near town and beach
Cons: no fire escape access from 5th floor
Pros: The food choice at breakfast and lunch buffet is very good and the food is very nice; laundry service is fast and not expensive; the location is especially great - in front of useful shops, adjacent to a great churreria, and most of all 5' walk from the beach, which is a very beautiful beach, with nice bars and restaurants overlooking it, crowded only at weekends, and surrounded by beautiful pine trees.
Cons: The water in the shower was difficult to regulate; the toilet flush often did not work well - you had to flush several times - overall the bathroom could use a bit of renovation. The room was slightly small for 4 but if one is adaptable it is ok.
Pros: Very clean and fantastic location. Staff was incredible friendly.
Cons: More a 2 star than a 3 star.
Pros: location. quiet room, clean
Cons: No lobby or private area to sit in , breakfast could be better
Pros: Checking out.
Cons: Very noisy plumbing meant that we heard loud noises every time the bathroom was used in neighbouring rooms and the room above. The corridor outside our room needs proper carpeting to deaden noise outside - my wife and I were regularly woken up by latecomers walking past our room. The breakfast, although cheap, was still poor value. There was only one cereal available, the cooked food appeared unedible and the coffee was undrinkable. Although the hotel has a swimming pool, it was not open on the first day of our stay. The accommodation block looks more like a prison block than a hotel.

Pros: Nice staff and good location.
Cons: Bath a little slippery Heater made noise all night
Pros: The location was readily accessible.
Cons: The staff was rude, the room felt dirty, it was the most expensive hotel I have stayed at on my hike, and the one I enjoyed the least. I don’t recommend staying here.
Pros: The location
