New, stylish, functional and exceptionally clean. The hotel is at the Spanish/French frontier and is in an area designed for overnight stop for international transport lorries. Therefore it is not very attractive. But the hotel itself is attractive.
Friendly staff, squeeky clean room, location away from the main motorway Breakfast room set up was pretty basic
Staff were very helpful, good location from auto route The secure car park was breached by thieves
Close to Motorway. Very modern facilities, especially for the disabled.
The room each week is excellent, clean and very modern...I would say best hotel Ive stayed in for such a reasonable price no
The position of the hotel to Autopista was excellent , but no noise. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Very very good value .Highly recommend as a mid way stop .
The hotel is very modern and welcoming It's location is very convenient but what an awful place, a huge service station with lorries everywhere and the road exits are hard to find.
Very happy with quality of accommodation only comment I would make is when booking the hotel the description for the location lead me to believe it was in a. National park not an industrial estate
It,s a very relaxing hotel, clean, large comfortable rooms, good service, excellent breakfast.
Modern clean and very comfortable at a good price, very easy to find and good for en route stays
Jonquera was the main factor for using the hotel due to the distance from Barcelona. The location en route north should be highlighted on the booking form - we had to travell south after leaving the hotel in order to continue north. Breakfast (at 9.30) was disappointing. Only scrambled eggs (which were very old / black) were available as a hot breakfast.
Easy to find, quick and easy check in. I checked in with pets. The door to the room could have done with some insulation so stop my dogs barking at every noise outside the room. I think the hotel had tiled floors throughout which meant you could hear every wheeled suitcase clacking along the tiles along with the lady wearing stiletoes above us. Once everyone seemed to be checked into their rooms (approx 11pm), the night was quiet and peaceful.
Really excellent position after a long drive across France enroute to our home on the Costa Blanca. Have stayed here before and enjoyed it again.
Attitude and help of the receptionist. Incredibly vast bed!
Spacious, comfortable room. Convenient situation for our particular journey. Did not have its own restaurant or bar--only the motorway self service restaurant. We felt completely trapped in the middle of a motorway with no access to other facilities. The hotel is in effect "room only".
The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming. The garages were useful to give a sense of security for the car. I was unaware that the hotel was in the service area of the stop and came off at the junction so ended up having to go back towards Barcelona the next day rather than heading onwards to France! This should be mentioned in the description.
The hotel staff were very friendly, especially the receptionist, who couldn't do enough to accommodate our needs. Although reported by other guests, I had no trouble getting to the hotel when travelling towards France. There is an underpass to the left of the petrol station.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The motel is only accessible from a toll road, the internet use is intermittent, a smell of sewage invades the rooms (apparently when the wind is from a certain direction), the shower head is blocked with calcium buildup.
The way in which the staff were so helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them. I would like to add that due to a fault with our car we had to cancel our stay on the return journey but on contacting the hotel they were so understanding and the cancelation was accepted with a no fee having to be paid.
Easy to reach by the main road. Too hot. No air condition and no windows to open.
Good budget hotel right next to the motorway at La Jonquera. Good restaurant next door.
relaxation Could have done with extra pillows
Pleasantly surprise by the hotel and facilities
Excellent, clean and relaxing Nothing at all
we ate at the 'buffet volonte' in the evening so we were able to eat and drink as much as we wanted to and then went up to our hotel room - no worries about being stopped for a breathaliser
location near french border
Location, reasonable price, easy parking, ok room, nearby restaurants and bars. Good place for an overnight stay if travelling late from Girona airport towards France, but not a holiday location.
clean , good price
nothing special the restaurant was closed, the room was cold when we came there.
On entering the lobby it was plush and it smelt lovely and so did the room and it was so very clean, relaxing colours and peaceful balcony. Its situated in a very busy shopping street which is probably why its there but parking could perhaps be a problem.
It was very calm. Only one chair for two people to sit on is a difficult task. No elevator and two nasty flights up.
Allways our nightstopp on our way to and back from Malaga No, exept maybe the parking situation
It's quite well located, 5 minutes walk to the center of the city, the room also has a smaill be nice balcony.
i liked the beautiful setting, the wonderful friendly service, and the top class restaurant serving traditional spanish food
I liked the sound of the river, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, and the delicious food in the restaurant. There was construction going on to double the number of rooms from 8 to16 (and add a swimming pool) so that was a bit inconvenient, but they expect to complete the expansion by March 2011.
Choice of room on arriva l- most unusual! Dog friendly. Good choice of breakfast despite being - enforced, inclusive. Certainly saved another stop on route. Smallish, but, stylish, comfortable & convenient. Easy to find from exit j3 on a7 if going South bound. (We were not however!) No easy access Northbound. We had a bit of a hike back from j2 on the a7 onto n11. We had to! Best to leave at j4 (no exit j3) but take the Figueres bypass route around the town as it is nw on the way out.
Staff spoke very good English and were very friendly. We had diner twice and both times the food was fantastic. The last menu really deserved a Michelin star, absolutely amazing.
If you arrive after a long drive from Belgium it's nice to have a great terras to relax. Service for drinks is not so good, you have to look for help you to bring you something and Mrs Cristina is not to helpfull or frindlyto bring you something
Clean, comfortable, the room had an acceptable size, very good breakfast, with a great variety of food. French, English e and Italian 3 stars hotels should learn from this Spanish one. The only one was the lack of the mini bar in the room
the excellent location, easy to find, not far from the highway, very well situated to visite de Dali Theatre. not enough longchairs at the swimming pool...
You will found a nice staff, a quite pretty swimming pool, and a lovely buffet to have breakfast.
Very clean and comfortable, food nice and staff very helpful. Very pleasant pool area. Excellent value for money.
Very attractively done up, and great breakfast buffet
very kind staff, especially the dark-haired girl at the reception, and the waiter, nice garden, good breakfast, with a four stars selection of food. tea should be served in big tea pots, and not in a tea cup, but the waiter was so kind that he gave me 2 cups! I'm a tea addicted...
Easy to find after a long journey but pretty far from downtown. Doesn't look so good outside but the rooms are reasonably well kept. The restaurant/breakfast area is very nice.
