The staff is most kind and helpful. Everything is excellent: room, bed, bathroom, breakfast, service, etc. It really looks like a family home with hotel rooms. Given the hopeless car parking and the expensive hotels in Cagliari, Gentarrubia is a great alternative. The hotel is difficult to locate. You need a car to get there. Using the bus, you need to walk for 1.5 km. On the main road SS195 from Cagliari to Pula, after about 10 km, you will encounter 5 turnabouts (to Macchiareddu, Capoterra, La Maddalena, Frutti d'Oro). At the 5th turnabout, take right to Rio San Girolamo. After 100 m, take the first road on the left (crossing a bridge; wide straight road via Europa). After 100 m, take right into a street, entering an area of houses. Then right (50 m), left (10 m, via Madrid), left, and left (via Berna).
The staff were very friendly and helpful whenever approached and went out of their way to accomodate our requests. Rooms beautifully clean and comfortable.
modern, clean, friendly staff site terrible roads unsurfaced with potholes. Surrounded by less salubrious properties with dogs out all night. Impossible to sleep unless all windows and shutters closed. Dog hotel nearby.
The owners are amazing! Helped us get a great rate on our rental car and made a reservation for us at the best seafood restaurant. Easy to reach the amazing beaches of Chia and Nora by car and they have the best recommendations for which part of the beach to go to. Breakfast is great with homemade pastries and fresh fruit. Rooms were spotless and pool was lovely. Great, great place to stay. Nothing
great room, great staff, great breakfast a fair walk to other facilities
Staff was really good and place was beautiful and very clean.
It was a very charming quaint place. You enter in the bread and breakfast with you own key meaning there was no one to tend to your needs. They was a problem with hot water! Otherwise it was adequate. There wasn't someone available for help. Lack of hot water.
For us was a kiteboarding/kitesurfing excursion based centrally in southern Sardinia, south west of the capital Cagliari. Location was fantastic. Sandro was an excellent host, at his home in a very quiet neighborhood with a great mountain view. His b&b has 5 bedrooms and was very clean and well maintained with all the typical European comforts and style. He also has gated parking which appears to be standard in neighborhood, not necessity. He has a beautiful yard with with lush maintained flowers and garden. Lots of wild life, turtles, lizards, birds and insects... A delightful harmonious ecosystem. He also had two very well behaved quiet dogs that have there own side yard. Breakfast was light with excellent coffee and local pastries. He shared with us a fantastic digestive traditional from Sardinia called mirto in the evenings. 10 minutes away from maddalena beach which gets nice thermals where no where else has wind. He has drying racks for our gear, serves a lot of wind and surf enthusiasts. Payment is cash only. Sandro has a well reviewed profile on tripadvisor and booking.com We could only fit a 3 day stay with antichi aromi but wish we could have stayed longer, would highly recommend to any friends and family and hope to visit for a longer stay in the near future. Really no complaints at all. Some cautionary thoughts: not the appropriate place to be rowdy and loud, unless you book the whole place out of respect for the other guests. Payment is cash only. Sandro has a well reviewed profile on tripadvisor and booking.com Itallian is the host's primary language, but if you are not equipped with it don't let it dissuade you from staying, as the host is very accommodating and experienced with dealing with guests of various languages. In our case he met us at the airport so we could follow him instead of trying to nagivate late at night.
