Fantastic little hotel with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Brilliant view from the terrace, and neat clean rooms. Wonderful
The reception at the Marulivo was wonderful. The staff could not have been more helpful. They spent hours trying to solve an unusual fishing request. The room was spotlessly clean and had an incredible view of the sea. Breakfast on the terrace was graceful and delicious. The hotel gave excellent recommendations for restaurants and side trips. This hotel is perfect for rest and vacation. The sea is a 7 minute ride downhill - not for the faint-hearted! The water is clean and warm. At night you can retreat to the peace of the hotel or the confusion of the central piazza. This hotel is perfect for all occasions.
l'accès à l'hôtel est difficile, mais la vue est exceptionnelle. Les hôtes sont charmants.
Unique property with owners who are very passionate about the hotel. Amazing views from the room and the terrace where breakfast was served. Parking is a loooong way from the hotel. Pack light!
We had a fantastic stay in this wonderful small hotel which is in a unique position within the village with fabulous views down towards the sea. The accomodation was very comfortable and spacious with delicious breakfasts served on the terrace, again with that knock out view. All the staff, but especially Lea and Massimo were very helpful and informative, Lea gave us a "lesson" the first morning of our stay on places to go and things to see and do, of which there were so many we didn't have time to do them all, we shall have to come back ! Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
Tastefully decorated interesting old building with beautiful views Parking difficulties/access but one could argue that's part of its charm!
Stunning location, interesting, moorish decor. Beautiful terrace. Best bathroom view ever! We liked everything but guests should be aware that it is difficult to get heavy luggage up the steps from the square to the hotel and there are steps within the hotel complex.
Clean and tidy hotel, near a beautiful beach. Despite its English name staff speak very little English. Over 500 steps from Hotel to beach.
The views were superb and the beach was delightful. Swimming pool was also fine. Room was basic, shower was not good. Reception staff were not particularly friendly and the lunches were expensive.
The hotel it's just in an excellent position and that's it. Stay away.
The setting is beautiful and a gorgeous private beach, wild and natural. the pool is lovely too with the restaurant and club set in a pine wood. The staff were completely inept. they were slow, sullen and unhelpful. We asked for ice in our drinks only to be told that there was some in there, it had melted due to the heat and one does not expect to have to argue with the staff!
The view the room and relaxation. There are a lot of steps to the beach area but very worth the trip down them. We did not know that there is no shuttle to the town after August 31. Should be in the advertisement. Staff didn't speak very good English. And watch out for them claiming you drank the water in the fridge in the room. Ask how many of anything is in the fridge so you know up front. The airconditioning is not applicable for this place because even when you ask them to turn it on they shut it off at there whim....false advertising. Also when booking know to take along your ear plugs because there is a disco associated with this hotel and it is very very loud. I just know to take along my ear plugs everywhere in Europe. They like to party well into the early morn.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff were very helpful at all times. Food very good also.
The location, view, food, swimming pool. The attitude of the reception staff stank - they were very off-hand - felt as if you were disturbing them if you asked anything - they need some customer service training.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was good - reasonably priced and well-prepared traditional menu. The room was small and there was only a small window, so no view worth mentioning. Wireless didn't work, so had to use an ethernet cable connection. The room price was way too high for overall amenities of the hotel.
The friendly staff, excellent restaurant -our dinner was one of the best meals we had during our time in Italy. The room was very comfortable and the view was magnificent
Helpfullness of the staff even in areas that were not hotel related
The hotel location is not the best one however nice viuw from the window if you are on upper floor, the restaurant he food is mediocre and the service very slow. not able to purchase pay per viuw footbal match .
The hotel location is excellent, right in the center of the village of Palinuro in a shopping street which is closed to traffic in the evenings and at walking distance from the main beaches and from the port. Very good choice for those who want to take advantage of their stay to walk. In 3 days, we did not use the car which was safely parked in the hotel compound. We had a room with a superb view over the sea. The terrace also had same view. The hotel staff was charming. The room slightly exceeded our initial budget for the week end, but we went to Best Western Hotel la Conchiglia during the highest season (August).
a modern and unusual designed hotel in an excellent location. The staff was friendly even though very little English was spoken. Breakfst and dinner also were surprisingly good. The beach is quite rockyna there was an abundance of the beasts called no-seeums as we ound out next morning after a long evening on our rooms terrace. Insect repellent should help if applied early!
beautiful hotel and wonderful staff
The hotel was lovely and clean. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly. The rooms were lovely with great views. Any complaints were dealt with immediately The breakfast options were very limited
