Friendly staff , relaxed atmosphere, pleasant breakfast on the terrace No wifi, traffic noise, steps to terrace
Miramar is a lovely hotel, and the staff was unfailingly polite and friendly. Our room was beautiful. We ran out of toilet paper, and had to call the front desk to have it brought up. In a 4star hotel! Dinner in the restaurant was way too long (21/2 hours), and the place is too expensive overall. We arrived tired, so chose to have lunch at the hotel while our room was being cleaned. I was charged 25 Euro for a club sandwich (the menu said 19 euro, but because I chose fresh tuna instead of chicken, there was a surcharge.) The staff tried hard to accomodate our wishes, but were ultimately unsuccessful with all our requests (boat rental and canyoneering). Surely this is not the first time guests have wanted to rent a boat - in a beach resort! Too expensive for what you get.
We loved this hotel! Perfect Boutique hotel, in a quaint city. The staff were fantastic, the room was impeccable with a spectacular view and balcony. Breakfast included by the pool was amazing, we just wished we had stayed longer.....
We felt very confortable in this hotel, the members of staff were charming. The public areas, especially the gardens and pool were delightful. Buffet breakfast very good. An easy 10-15 minute walk down to the restaurants in Propriano - sadly we did not eat in the hotel, as we found the menu prices a little expensive, ditto the mini bar prices in the room. The public beach is across the road, but we found access to it from the hotel quite easy. We would stay here again, given the opportunity.
The room and the terrace. Service and staff was probably the worst I have ever had. This is not Small Luxury hotel, it is just small hotel. Terrible breakfast, service and staff behave very arogant to us. This all for 400 eur per night.
The Miramar Boutique Hotel was a highlight during our 2010 Corsica Trip: Very stylish and modern room and facilities, very warm and attentive staff, excellent food, recommendable also to young families
Stunning location, beautiful design and comfortable rooms. Very child-friendly, with children's menu and toys, without being a noisy children's hotel. We had to wait until 3pm to check in, really. Also a bit expensive compared to other hotels in the area.
there is no wifi.
the room was clean and the staff was friendly. The view was wonderfull.
The location and views are unbeatable - this is definately THE place to stay in Sartène! The car park is a major plus point as otherwise it is impossible to park - the hotel is just a couple of minutes walk to the heart of the town. This is the cleanest hotel we have stayed in and the staff were helpful and friendly. There was a small fridge in the room which was great for storing our own drinks and snacks. Another major plus is the availability of free Wi-Fi in the rooms as well as the public areas. Overall, an excellent hotel and we would highly recommend it. The hotel is popular with coach parties, making it impossible to sleep past 7am. It put us off eating in the restaurant (although there are many places to choose from within walking distance). Breakfast is very basic with no choice which didn't suit us - also only served until 09:30. The rooms are scrupulously clean but with just a small bath where a shower would be better.
It was nice. The price si different if you choose a room facing valley or city.
The romantic dining setting in the garden. Too far from Corte is you are visiting, which we were originally doing. We did however like the quiet dining setting.
good location, free parking, nice view from the window hotel stuff don't speak english. Soundproofing is bad and in the morning I was awakening by sounds of other guests.
The room was small, however, the view from the bedroom was outstanding, and worth a visit. The town was interesting to explore. The price was fair.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice views, perfect location.
The room was really nice not the usual French seaside. The room had stone walls and beams although mock really worked well. I would definetly stay again. Very clean and had obviously recently been refurbished.
Service at the Reception desk (Avelino is a nice guy, very professional), and especially the view on the valley from the balcony of the room: amazing!!! Efficient air conditioning. No fan in the bathroom, and quality of the bed (mattress and pillow) not that good
Central location in Southern Corsica. Very nice view on the valley (it's worth the extra cost). Too much noise in the hotel of undisciplined travelers smashing doors, talking in the hallway and pulling trolleys (mostly coming by bus for one night). Impossible to sleep after 6.00 in the morning. Bath tub with only hand shower and no curtain so you need to sit to take a shower.
On arrival we where made to feel very welcome, a family run hotel which had all the family involved which was lovely. Pool area was very clean and not crowded at any one time. Enjoyed my stay very much. Thank You Only thing was that no air conditioning in the room which made it difficult to sleep at night. But its a small concern and they made up for it in other ways.
Great view on sea and sunset. Close to a small nice beach. Nice swimming pool. Large appartments, nice balcony. One of the receptionists speaks only French (but that is standard on Corsica). Only French TV. Rooms were not really clean. We had to ask them to repair the shower, but it was fixed on the same day (Sunday!). 1km to the center.
Swimming pool area very enjoyable. Especially at night time. Hotel location is good if you want to go swimming into the sea. Shore very close by. The room was not so clean. No rubbish bin in the room as well. It's definitely more like a holiday resort than a hotel. The rooms have a kitchen so it's like any holiday appartment. Breakfast (9,5 euros) is too expensive. Hotel location is too far away from the city center to walk there.
Please write at least 15 word:the nature Expensive breakfast not value for money
using the swimming pool, enjoying the beautiful view, being near the town and the beach. No air-conditioning in the bedrooms.
Area, Decor, Staff. Not that I didn't like it, but you definately need a car if you stay here.
The access to rooms was very poor as no lift, many walkways and stairs which are hard to negotiate with luggage especially for older clients. No porter service. Evening meal was very expensive but very limited in quality and quantity. Service in restaurant was inattentive, eg no hot water for breakfast, orange juice carafe not filled. Needed to remind staff to check these things.
Our stay at this hotel was comfortable becasuse of kindness of hotel staff, good garden view from our room and services of restaurant staff. I think that this hotel is worthy of four star class.
The quiet and silent atmosphere, the comfort of the room (spacious, with a nice setting and a view on the garden and the swimmingpool), the overall setting (nice garden, good mediterranean style) the excellent and abundant breakfast in the garden The location (peripheral area, close to te main road to Bastia) although once in, you immediately appreciate the nice and quite ambient of both the interiors and the external spaces of the hotel (garden, swimmingpool)
Large room with excellent beds and a stunning view over a beautiful landscape. The sunset is spectacular! Large bathroom that is as the rest of the place in very good condition.
We visited the hotel early in October so found it quiet. The views towards the sea from the bedrooms are stunning. The breakfast waitress was particularly friendly and efficient. Being towards the end of the season, some of the facilities were not available (eg restaurant) and the manager had started to put outdoor furniture away.
the atmosphere is very good!! the light in corridor is cleard too quickly.
Location We use to travel around the world because our jobs and use to stay are several hotels but sorry to say the people in charge of the guest are really unpleasand and you feel they don't enjoy receiving people at the hotel. Specially unsociable is the person behind the desh: not only never helps you when asking about places or maps even when we left the hotel last day at 7 am he was not able to offer us a cup of coffee or kind words of leave-talking (the service was preparing the tables for breakfast) after paying more than 1200 € !!!.Another recommendation: if you want to have breakfast better wake up at 8 am, otherwise you'll loose the poor breakfast the hotel offers...and becasue the bad humour of service eople prefers not to ask for it
The location is very good. Overlooking the mountains.
For a 2* the breakfast room and choice are good. There was a lift and the town was right on the doorstep so you could stroll anywhere. I resented paying a double room rate, even though a single rate existed, simply because there were few rooms available. It was presented as a take it or leave it scenario. The room itself was in the annex not the main hotel, with a tiny shower room. Reception staff were surly, why do such a job if you can't be half pleasant to someone you've never met before?
The location of the hotel was good The single room was tiny and located next to the lift,so was noisy. very noisy hotel with constant slamming of doors day and night.
At the beginning I tought that to' be' in the center of Portovecchio was going to be a good idea, instead it's just a small and really expensive town, not worthed to book an hotel in the center of the town, instead an hotel outside and go back and forward with the car is better, naturally you can visit Portovecchio in just one day so ... The Holzer have a parking lot that is useful and is really cheap (to be in the center of portovecchio) That's my experience: hotel on the first and second floor really dark, bathroom really old style (like the one of my grandmother) but clean. Bed really uncomfortable, double bed, room fornitures minimalistic. Internet wireless not working on the third floor and when I went to the concierge (a lady with glasses) she behaved like if it was my problem, like if it was working and I was mistaking and like if "I'm sorry I cannot help you because nobody can fix it today". It could be easier a simply "sorry is not working but you can use our wireless spot in the entrance/base floor" (but that's too easy for egocentric peoples). By the way, my Internet connection was working downstairs in the ground floor without any change ... Silly peoples
Great location and view. the waiting staff were not very warm; no friendly greeting when met in the hotel; actual desk staff were friendly
The hotel is nearby the historic city center. Our room was spacious and the breakfast was rich. The parking lot is a few hundred meters from the hotel, and it does not look safe at all (nothing happened to the car, by the way).
Wieu on the seaside! The hotel needs the outside renovation! The beach was dirty, everything /broken.../ stayed from the last year season.....
Really nice breakfast. Small bed (double bed)
Good position for tours with own car, town center could be reached by feet. Own beach available. Breakfast variety could be better for this price, sea view from rooms in lowest floor is not as good as from higher levels (view partly obstructed by plants).
Nice beach, car parking, friendly stuff, good location stuff don't speak english, breakfast is poor-not quantity but quality, maybe little overpriced, i think for same price it is possible to find better accomodation
Good quality hotel on the edge of town and within walking distance of the town and restaurants. Had its own private beach with good swimming. Excellent breakfast provided. A most enjoyable stay.
We stayed in this hotel at saturday 11th of april - just couple days after hotel opened for a summer season. Hotel is situated just on the national road but we had no problem with noise at all - our room was facing the sea (I believe, all rooms are facing the sea) and we heard no noise at all. Another big plus - private beach where only guests have access. Beach bar (or was it restaurant?) looked completely destroyed after the winter, but I guess they will fix it before the season start. Hotel was cold (including our room, but after turning on the heating it warmed up quite quickly). It was cold in breakfast room too - not comfortable to eat in such cold room.
Pleasant location by marina/harbour within easy walking of numerous restaurants and bars. Staff very keen to help and flexible.
There was the facility of restaurants nearby even though there was not one at the hotel. The hotel was user- friendly. There was no seating area on wet days within the hotel and it was not possible to use the balcony as it was too wet. it was more like a B&B than a hotel
Excellent, excellent service. We were greeted with a bottle of Champagne and fresh strawberries on the first night. When I had a traffic accident in town, the manager/owner of the hotel rushed to the site and helped us with translation, spent time with us trying to get the car repaired. All the staff we met (we stayed for a week) were friendly, helpful. This was the third time we've stayed in Porto-Vecchio, and by far the best location - it is easier to stay in town (and drive out to the beach every day), rather than stay near the beaches and drive into town every night for dinner and activities. We had a "salt view" room, which was cheaper, but the view was just as good if not better than the sea view. Nothing at all. It is a brand new hotel, staff was friendly and helpful.
The hotel is excellently situated close to the sea. The staff were particularly friendly, kind and helpful during our stay. There was no bar and breakfast was expensive.
Very helpful staff. Good location on the marina
It is new hotel with simple and good interiors. Clean bathroom and toilet. Good breakfast and good place near from the centre City.
the location was good , spacious rooms and well furnished, seperate shower room and toilet all staff were friendly and welcoming.
