Pros: Everything! The small details really set it apart from other places we’ve stayed. We loved dressing gowns, scones, facilities and location. We couldn’t fault it. The furniture and style was beautiful. Erika and Dan are lovely hosts, whilst being respectful of space and not imposing. Erika went above and beyond to make sure mum (staying in the lookout) was comfortable and looked after.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautifully designed no expense spared property owned by such a lovely couple. The attention to detail was second to none with beautiful furniture and little tasteful extras. Breakfast was continental and delivered to the flat and plentiful...bread , croissants, juices in addition to scones with cream and jam on arrival . Parking plentiful and a good location for exploring southern Cornwall. We ate at the Godolphin Arms with good food and glorious views and the Kings Arms where we had good food again and great fun and joined with the locals in an auction fund raiser and quiz. In all had a great 2 days and would definitely recommend this property to anyone.
Cons: There was absolutely nothing to dislike but just a tip for anyone visiting. Leave the car ar the property and walk to the town which is a 15 minute walk approx, as parking is a challenge in the town
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stopped in the loft on 31/07/2019 to 02/08/2019. The location was perfectly situated being a short walk to St Michael’s Mount which is where we visited. The accommodation did all the basics excellently being comfortable, clean, and cosy with modern features. There was a full selection of pastries each day, fruit, cereals, teas and coffees. Even a decaf tea for my pregnant wife. The icing on the cake was the access to sky movies, tablet, cream tea upon arrival and the view from the window overlooking a field where you could see rabbits hopping. I could not recommend this place enough.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was in a perfect location excellent in every respect. Spotlessly clean with excellent facilities and having sole use of the patio and garden was a real bonus. Erika and Dan were superb hosts. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Lookout to anyone looking for top class accommodation for two people in Cornwall. We are sure to return.
Cons: Hard to think of anything negative other than we did find the wooden sun chairs in the garden a little uncomfortable but that doesn't stop us giving the property and the hosts 5 stars all the way.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about our stay. Very luxurious! Wonderful hosts. Great attention to detail. In a beautiful part of the world!
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A Wonderful place for family. Sitting in the middle of the field and embrace the beautiful view of both the country yard and the port. We saw stars in the night! 10 minutes walk to st Michael Mount, where diversified restaurants are easy to find. We have already think about to book this property some times in the Summer. And the host of the property are very kind and helpful, they made various and delicious breakfast for us.
Cons: Everything inside the property are elegant and convenient, unless the curtains are not light prevented. Therefore the rooms would be in sun light in very early morning which will be difficult for somebody who would like to have a late sleep morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was fantastic, accommodation was great and the hospitality was second to none. Thoroughly recommend and would go back anytime.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Fantastic place, clean and tidy.Fresh farm food and friendly owners!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every need catered for. Very kind hosts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I rarely give perfect 10s. I picked this relatively new B&B at the last moment when my intended destination had a major fire. Thought it would be small but good but it turned out to be excellent. Hands-on owners seem to have thought about every detail. The best cooked English breakfast for some while but lots of healthy and veggie / vegan / gluten intolerant / food allergic alternatives. Even the 'brown' toast was memorably good. Firm and comfortable bed, real black-out blinds on sound-proof windows, nice crockery, heavy doors, the neatest looking car park. It does the relatively simple to extremely high standards across the board.
Cons: Erm .... really struggling to find any negatives .... no thick cut marmalade? .... towel warmer a little bit fierce for warmer weather? .... no, that's about it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was particularly impressed with the 'taxi' service. I was ferried down to the station by the owner on my final day which saved me a lot of time and hassle. The whole stay was excellent. Neil and Helen are very good at what they do

Pros: The location was excellent as we found it central to the area and attractions we were visiting. We ate most of our meals in the conservatory which is fabulous. Though there is a set menu for breakfast the hosts were very adaptable and accommodating to special requests not on the menu. This also applied to the evening meals. Michelin standard of cuisine without any hesitation, and no corkage charge on your wine.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Barbara was a great host. Very bright and cheerful. The breakfast choice was good and cooked breakfast was really good. I would have liked a choice of smoked haddock but there were a number of choices. The view from the breakfast area overlooked the fishing harbour. Great location The room we had was out the back up an outdoor wooden staircase. It was a good size with expected facilities. My only negative comment is one wall in the room must be quite thin. We could here the television in the next room quite clearly at times. This didn't cause a problem though. I would recommend the Smugglers if staying in the Newlyn, Penzance area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place and its owners are a gem! Its immaculate. The love for detail art and quality can be found throughout. I only regret to be able to stay for one night, and not to be able to check out their restaurant. Going by the breakfast it must be a real treat. Thank you!

Pros: What a lovely room - everything clean and fresh and bright. It just had a good feel. View of the harbour and surrounding coastline and comfortably appointed. Lovely breakfast too and friendly staff/management. Highly recommended. Great for exploring Penzance and the surrounding countryside too.
Cons: Not much. The room could maybe have been aired a bit before our arrival but it only felt a little stuffy due to the fine weather and the fact it gets a lot of direct sunlight. Neither a bad thing.

Pros: View amazing .location was great. Room was very clean.
Cons: The room itself was very clean but small. Stunning views from the balcony. Unfortunately the bed was not very comfortable one side was dipping and we didn't sleep well. May think before staying again. We did advise staff when we checked out and we were in Room 14.

Pros: The view from my bedroom balcony was superb! Picture postcard and will live in the memory forever. Friendly reception staff on arrival. As a solo traveller for one night, the hotel more than met my requirements. The room had recently been decorated and was very clean. Goodnight sleep even though it was a warm July night, as the bed was comfortable. Small but modern bathroom. Breakfast was good. A 10-minute walk through the village to reach the beach and to visit St.Michaels. This is a hotel I hope to return!
Cons: The shower took a while to work. Perhaps instructions close at hand should be an option.

Pros: Excellent spot located quite close to several attractions in Cornwall. Situated close to a country pub/ restaurant. Penzance is approximately 15 mins away and Land's end is about 25 mins drive. Owners were lovely and very approachable and bring you breakfast in a hamper/ picnic basket which is a neat touch. Furthermore the choice of breakfasts is quite extensive and the is something for everyone to get the day going. The apartment is very spacious and actually bigger than I was expecting, with most of the necessary facilities available.

Pros: What an amazing find! The studio was great, in a peaceful location and immaculately clean. Michelle was friendly and welcoming but respectful of our privacy - perfect. Pros: Lovely welcome from our host. not intrusive but happy to advise and help if necessary. Very private and quiet, just lovely for a relaxing, get away from it all, week.
Cons: The pub at the end of the road was NOT a good eating experience, perhaps it will be better when it has changed hands. It would have been ideal for evening meals as it was within walking distance. We had a small problem with flies as we had to have the windows open because the weather was so lovely, we should have remembered to take our fly spray!!

Pros: Breakfast excellent. Accommodation high standard with balcony and distant sea view
Cons: cream tea on arrival didn't happen as advertised on booking.com

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet location, dog-friendly, and very helpful staff.
Cons: I found I couldn't really get the lounge area warm, even after putting the bedroom electric fire in there. Hot water bottles and throws in the winter months would be a nice touch.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing, the pool was lovely and warm, the accommodation was exactly what we needed, parking directly opposite. Location was perfect. The pre-booking email exceeded all of our expectations by asking if we needed use of a free travel cot, baby box (milk warmer etc). The management clearly care about their guests, and we can't wait to return.
Cons: Bar a winning lottery ticket on each of our pillows. There is nothing further they could have done or offered to enhance our stay. Absolutely amazing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, clean lodge, loved the surroundings and town too. Did a great ride with the local bike hire company (lands end hire) and amazing kayaking with oceanhigh too. All good stuff to do close by. Great that it had a little shop.
Cons: The start of the field walk lane had some dog poo in it - difficult to police but perhaps remind people with dogs to pick it up no matter where?

Pros: The staff were very friendly, the food was very nice and the overall hotel was very pretty. The hotel comfortable and relaxing vibe with great facilities. I would highly recommend and I would definitely stay again!
Cons: The noise of the other rooms. There wasn't much noise prevention and at night it was easy to hear people walking down the corridor or talking. The doors where also quite loud.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful, making for a great time and atmosphere. The location of hotel was ideal and close to st Michael's Mount, like less than a couple of minutes away. Awesomeness.

Pros: The place was amazing. Really nice house with a great host. She made a mouth-watering breakfast. A bed was really comfortable and I slept very well. Moreover, the jacuzzi was really nice and relaxing.
Cons: Nothing at all. I would recommend this place to everyone who is not allergic to cats and who is traveling by car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing and super helpful host, delicious breakfast. Fantastic location - short drive to St. Ives and Miniack theater. Private jacuzzi really made our evenings :) We will be back for sure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place, super friendly comfortable stay, fabulous breakfasts. Would book again for sure.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful experience Staff could not have been more helpful
Cons: A little bit isolated
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the self-catering unit of the Dry B&B and overall were satisfied with our experience. The inn is located in a rural area about midway between St. Ives and Penzance. There are no commercial activities in the immediate area, but several mega grocery stores are located about 15 minutes drive from the apartment; we particularly liked Sainsburys. The apartment, while spacious, was a bit cold and dark, in part because the weather was miserable while we were there. We spent most of our time in the kitchen, which is large, modern and attractive.
Cons: I would recommend that the living room be redecorated to make it more cozy, which could be done easily, and that better lighting be provided in the living room and bedroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place to stay, very clean and comfortable.Brenda si caring and helpful person.Quiet location, there is pub nearby.Highly recommended.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bed was really comfy and the room was lovely and clean. The conservatory was added space to go which was really nice. The breakfast was delicious. Thank you brenda!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent the host very friendly and accommodating great selection of hair shampoos in the bathroom have not seen that before overall an amazing stay made better by the hostess
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely relaxing accommodation, just right for me and my other half. Nice bed, comfy sofa, good kitchen and really loved the jacuzzi. Location was perfect for us, only 10 minutes drive from St Ives and so close to everything else the area has to offer. The spot is great for exploring the countryside around Nancledra by foot, Brenda was also very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Really minor stuff. We could have done with more plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery in the kitchen. The curtains in the kitchen use a fabric which is a bit too transparent for keeping light out properly in the morning, this can be a pain if intending to have a lie in. The bathroom door (next to bedroom) squeaks quite loudly which can wake people up, could do with some oil.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brenda the host was great nothing was too much trouble . Everything you needed was there and if it was'nt she would get you it.i cannot praise her enough ,and the accomodaition was spotless.
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very relaxing
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely friendly staff and a beautiful location
Cons: Being in a tent right next to the outdoor seating area for the hostel meant we had both late night noise and early morning loud breakfasting (5.30am). That was a shame and as there’s no warden overnight it wasn’t monitored
10.0 Excellent
Pros: excellent staff good food beautiful place
Cons: bit noisy when everyone talk outside
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location, tasty breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location and views from the garden. The staff where super friendly and they where super helpful when we had questions or needs.
Cons: Not much to dislike really
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The view and helpful staff, clean and comfy beds. Tea in garden with view. You could wash and dry clothes.
Cons: Small shower room, hand dryer at entrance to toilet turning on on the way in was turning on worst at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breathtaking location. Excellent breakfast. Really tasty. Maybe scrambled eggs a bit rubbery, but really tasty everything. Nice staff and great place. Lovely swim in the small cove down the valley. Beautiful after a longish hike there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was beautiful and well equipped. We had a bell tent in the garden and we’re graciously given extra blankets, which weren’t needed in the end. The view in the morning was spectacular, a great place to stay to visit Cornwall. The showers and bathrooms for the campers are newly renovated and a lot better than expected! I will most definitely return. We had a double bed and three single beds inside the very spacious bell tent, perfect for a larger family such as us! The manager was fantastic, a real help in getting organized and showing us where to go on walks etc.

Newquay Airport is 37 miles away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owners were very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast in attractive setting. Well-kept accommodations. Location was convenient, Easy walk to nearby pub , an enjoyable restaurant with an appealing menuy and near a good-sized Lidl. Safe environment. You can walk to town center along the shore road. Nice alternative is take the more direct, but also scenic and central pedestrian walk which goes right by a lovely park with Museum and restaurant. Penzance was a delightful experience. We would return. Think about taking the QWR train to Penzance from London Center or London Gatwick (change to express in Reading). Then get a local car rental to explore Cornwall and Devon.
Cons: Front steps, but there may be a handicapped access. We did not need it and the exercise was good for us. I did not notice A/C but that is common in the UK. Nonetheless, in summer there may be helpful sea breezes.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Host Hazel was all you could wish for in a host, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast and service was terrific
Cons: Couldn't do anything better.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hazel's breakfast pancakes were just lovely and are highly recommended. The bed was very comfortable and our room was spacious enough for 2 large suitcases and hand luggage, without feeling cramped. Large towels in the bathroom gave a feeling of extra luxury. Handy to the inland main roads in or out of Penzance, and walking distance to central restaurants etc.
Cons: Guests should be aware that un-allocated street parking can be a bit of a lottery, and as with most Victorian-era B&Bs, there are steep walk-up and internal staircases which can pose a challenge with 20kg cases. The landing of one flight was partly obstructed by a fridge, which added to the challenge.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfortable. Breakfast good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was really good! I enjoyed my stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very comfy room and extremely helpful friendly host who made us an excellent take away breakfast ,(accommodating dietary needs), as we had a boat to catch.
7.0 Good
Cons: Very strict menu choices, saggy bed
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location. The room was very clean and tidy and the breakfast great, wi5 a very good selection. The owners were absolutely lovely.
Cons: Could have done with a hand towel in my room together with a bath towel, although I was on my own in a single room so it wasn’t too much of a problem. I should have checked earlier, and it wasn’t until I was in the shower until I realised.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfasts both mornings and our host, Hazel was great!
Cons: The small bathroom / shower facilities
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In the visitors' book I wrote 'Perfection'. Hazel wants to make everyone's stay as enjoyable as possible. It is a homely atmosphere and the breakfast is excellent.
Cons: Nothing.
