Set in Priego de Córdoba, 33 km from Zuheros, Balcón de la Villa offers a garden and free WiFi. The country house offers a seating area with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a hairdryer and shower. Balcón de la Villa offers a terrace. There is a shared lounge at this property and guests can go hiking and cycling nearby. Cabra is 27 km from the accommodation, while Rute is 33 km away. The nearest airport is Federico Garcia Lorca Granada-Jaen, 78 km from Balcón de la Villa, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service.
Pros: Very friendly, welcoming arrival by Ivan (the owner). Gave us an excellent introduction to Priego including where to go/eat/what to see etc. Ivan was in the shared kitchen in the morning offering us coffee/breakfast etc and really nice patio area to eat it in. Also had a nice roof top terrace to relax in the sun and take in the amazing views from the property. Ivan also had a space for a car to park in his garage underneath the property. Comfy beds with TV, fridge and kettle. Lovely powerful warm shower too.
Cons: While the property has excellent views being situate in the edge of a cliff looking down onto the 'new town' area, some traffic noise from the new town can inevitably be heard when you open the room windows, a lot quieter at night though and still quiet in the rest of the property with the patio areas etc. In any case, you can close the bedroom windows even in summer as the rooms have an excellent air conditioning unit.
Pros: Very warm welcome by the owner who designed the place on his own since he is an architect, great location with spectacular view, very clean, private terrace, shared terrace, kitchen in the room and large common kitchen, common living room and patio, received good recommendations by the owner about sights and restaurants, free on site parking
Pros: The views are incredible! As an architect, I appreciated the renovation of this typical spanish villa... and the owner is very attentive to his guests and helps you make the best “barbacoa” on the rooftop! Don’t miss to visit the attic! Just amazing!!!
Cons: The underground parking is small, but still a good parking solution, regarding to the historical town...
Pros: It was comfortable and relaxing from the moment we arrived. Every detail for travellers was carefully accommodated
Pros: Lovely room with a small kitchen and amazing terrace. The decor and contents were of a high standard.
With a stay at La Posada de Adul in Carcabuey, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Torre de Uclés and Sierras Subbeticas Natural Park. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The great enthousiasm of the owner (Mamen), her enormous hospitality, nothing was too much for her (mas coffee, bread and so on); this all create a very nice / comfortabele atmosphere in La Posada de Adul. In la Posada everything "breath" Andalucia; so nice and friendly! Therewith the very good price i very recommand this accomodation! Also great that you can visit within an hour Cordoba and in less time many other nice villages like Priego de Cordoba, Zuheros, Luque, Iznajar and many more. So visit it, don't doubt! Frits
Cons: Nothing at all!
Pros: Very good place to stay for exploring the Subbettica and it's a charming town to wander around but if you're there in the week things close down earlier than the larger towns. Very good breakfast. Owner is friendly and helpful.
Cons: Roads are narrow in the town and I found it more convenient to park in the public carpark by the school rather than drive through the town.
Pros: Lovely breakfast, gorgeous traditional house. Sunny terrace and great location!
Pros: Very pretty old-stone construction with nice attention to decorative detail. We had independant access via our patio which was nice as we had two dogs with us so we didnt have to worry so much about going through the main areas. Flexible arrival time, flexible departure time. Use of communal kitchen with gas hob and microwave, and fridge available - nice touch.
Cons: No parking on site - public parking (in big demand from locals too!) 100 meters up the hill from property. The town is very nice and typical for the area, bars and restaurants not far from property but it is very vertical - steep streets, many have one-way-traffic and are narrow.
Pros: Great little posada full of charm. Comfortable and clean. Lovely views. Very helpful and friendly owner. Good bar/restaurant close by.
Cons: Quite hard to find but friendly locals sent us in the right direction!
With a stay at Hotel Museo Patria Chica in Priego de Cordoba, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Priego de Cordoba History Museum and House Museum of Niceto Alcala. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Staff was perfect! Friendly and warm. Accommodating for our whole family. Restaurant was excellent. Breakfasts outstanding. The value was excellent and location perfect for day trips to larger cities including Granada and Cordoba.
Pros: We loved the mix of antiques and modern comforts. The beautiful hotel cats topped it all off! Priego is a hidden gem.
Cons: The view to the front though the triple glazing meant it was quiet.
Pros: Pretty good but not exceptional
Cons: The double bed was just a bit too small
Pros: Nice quirky decoration
Cons: Nothing really
Pros: The hotel was beautifully designed with two lovely, outdoor courtyards. It also contained many interesting antiques which were presented around the communal areas and in the bedrooms.
Pros: Fabulous Museum themed Hotel in perfect location for all the sights. Parking over the road is handy. Rooms and corridiors contain antiques in show cases. Amazing experience and Priego is a real favourite location to visit and stay.
Pros: The decoration.
Cons: No real bathroom, instead glass cubicles ; one for the shower and another one for the WC next to the bed. Very small rooms and some are directly on the street so forget about sleeping with open windows. The hotel is all about decoration. No free parking. No buffet for breakfast like shown in the pictures.
Pros: Very friendly people, beautifully decorated place!
Cons: Bathroom lacked privacy most pleasant
Pros: This is not just a beautiful hotel with high standards, it is also a delightful experience in an antique private residence . It is like a mini antique Paradores, but furnished with love and care: every single detail is thoughtful and meaningful. I could not praise it enough- Our room was charming and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, the staff is impeccable.
Cons: I would love to go back here, but I would not like to go back to Priego della Cordoba which is probably the only town I disliked in Andalusia. I will just reconsider for a one night stay, without leaving the hotel! And without doubt, next time I will have my dinner inside! I have heard from other guests that is fantastic.
Pros: this hotel is the best we have stayed at in Spain, we have been to many places that have been adequate, friendly, clean etc but this hotel is much more than that.We are looking forward to our return there in August and have booked an extra night. The staff were well trained and so happy to serve us. Breakfast was well above expectation.Would not consider staying anywhere else and will be returning again and again.
Cons: Absoluteley nothing to dislike
A stay at Casa Baños de la Villa places you in the heart of Priego de Cordoba, within a 5-minute walk of Priego de Cordoba Church of La Asuncion and Priego de Cordoba Castle. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and an elevator (lift). Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Amazing place
Cons: The bed was too small
Pros: Parking in front of the place, good breakfast and great and relaxing spa. This time we were at the second floor and we had great views from the good sizeded balcony. This apartment was amazing.
Cons: Inside the spa there was no clock (on the counter right outside the spa there was).
Pros: The location is very nice, next to the square with restaurants. The room is absolutely fantastic - very big and looks beautiful. Everything there, towels, soap, bathrobe. And the hammam - we really enjoyed it! There are 3 baths (cold, warm, hot) and a Turkish bath.
Cons: The breakfast was soso; not bad but no luxury as well. Coffee from a machine, not a lot of choice. We had to wait till the evening for the Hammam, which wasn't a problem at all but we didn't know that beforehand.
Pros: Everything. Massage great.
Pros: This centrally situated boutique hotel is ideal for the sight and tastes of Priego. Situated right in the heart of the old town it is quite difficult to locate, impossible to drive to the door, and has no parking adjacent. Consequently quiet and peaceful! The Arab baths are brilliant, and free, with great massage rooms which are very reasonably priced. There is a nice sun terrace with a plunge pool. Breakfasts are good and plentiful. Just round the corner is the amazing balcony overlooking the valley
Cons: The beds were quite small and very hard for our old bones!
Pros: Location was brilliant, just a few mins walk from the centre of town, the edge of town and the castle. Great view of castle from rooftop terrace. Staff super friendly and very helpful. Range of food available for breakfast and coffee machine available at other times.
Cons: Bed in Legado ok but after fourteen nights was ready to leave it. Maybe update mattress or maybe just a topper would help.
Pros: Beautiful villa. Everything was immaculate. The massage and Arab baths were fabulous. Would definitely go back
Pros: Such a lovely hotel, really helpfu and friendly staff, amazing value for money
Cons: Absolutely nothing
Pros: Everything was really good and I enjoyed the hotel and the town
Pros: Receptionist excellent.
This charming typical Andalusian property is located in the beautiful, historic town of Priego de Córdoba. It offers stylish apartments and cosy bedrooms with modern furniture arranged around a traditional patio. The rooms have cable TV, a fan, heating, and a private bathroom. Some have a balcony. The apartments have 2 bedrooms, as well as a kitchenette and seating area. La Posada Real is located in the historic quarter of Priego de Córdoba, surrounded by medieval buildings. The main square is just 3 minutes’ walk away. The Posada Real will be very happy to offer advice on local sights, and there is free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Free public parking can be found nearby.
Pros: Juan is very friendly and helpful host.
Pros: Lovely quaint property in the old town of Priego de Córdoba. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming.
Cons: The shower was very basic and could be a danger for elderly people.
Pros: Great location, breakfast and host.
Pros: Fantastic location and wonderful owner. Delightful old home in the historical district.
Pros: Juan was very nice. The room was good. Had air conditioning. Beds we a bit hard but ok. Good location in old town. Great to walk everywhere.
Cons: We had a room on a pdestrian walkway which can be noisy at night with late dinner walkers.
Pros: The great streets view, I liked the most
Pros: Ideal location in the old district. Perfect breakfast. Very welcoming host.
Pros: Owner very helpful regards parking.also advice on area meals etc lovely outside area
Cons: Nothing negative to say
Pros: Great location, good parking, in the old part of the city - we found free public parking, very homey, nicely decorated, very charming host and very helpful.
Pros: The hotel is well located in one of the most atmospheric streets of the lovely old town. Rooms are divided between the main house and the annex across the road. Facilities are basic but perfectly adequate and comfortable and the prices are very reasonable. The owner is very welcoming and helpful. The street is too narrow for vehicles so come prepared with a printed map or mobile phone to negotiate your or your taxi’s access. There are street or patio facing rooms but I don’t think it matters where you stay given that no vehicular access and absence of much people traffic.
Featuring a bar and shared lounge, as well as a restaurant, Hostal la zamora is set in Carcabuey. The air-conditioned rooms provide a mountain view and come with a desk and free WiFi. At the guest house, all rooms come with a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Guests at Hostal la zamora can enjoy a continental breakfast. The accommodation offers a terrace. Priego de Córdoba is 12 km from Hostal la zamora, while Cabra is 15 km away. The nearest airport is Federico Garcia Lorca Granada-Jaen, 90 km from the guest house, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service.
Pros: The bed was comfortable, and the room was equipped with a decent TV, air conditioning, two bottles of fresh water at the arrival. There was receptionist-waitress, a very nice person, kind , talkative, friendly ... Worths the shot to meet her.
Cons: It was a double room with terrace, there was a very bright light at the terrace that forced us to totally close the louver stopping the fresh air from outside to enter... This forced us to turn on the air conditioning for sleeping , which is not a good thing for most people , specially when the temperature outside is good. There was no way to turn off that light.
Pros: The staff from de hotel were very attentive and the restaurant food excellent, perfect presentation The surround very pretty and relaxing
Cons: It´s necessary to install a lift and other facilities for disable and elderly
Pros: The place is like a roadside motel. Fine. Clean Not much character. Good if you can’t find anything else.
Pros: Such friendly and kind staff who did everything to make us welcome for the five days we were at the Hostal. Thank you so much to all the staff and in particular to Eva, Mamen, Javi and Ruben. Very comfortable and clean room and ensuite. Our evening meals gave us a very good taste of local and Spanish food. We enjoyed the buzz of breakfast at the bar in the mornings as people stopped off for a wee while amidst their day's activities.
Cons: Not a dislike as such, but it would be lovely to see the empty ground to the side of the hostal developed maybe with trees and shade as another sitting area in good weather slightly further from the noise of road traffic. As the hostal sits on quite a busy road there is nowhere one can walk to locally and safely without getting in the car. However the hostal is well placed for visiting the village of Carcabuey 4km away and Priego de Cordoba a few km further.
Pros: Breakfast for 5 euros each was a bit uninteresting - toastada, or pastry. and coffee - but the evening staff we met on arrival and at dinner were very cheerful and helpful, doubling as waitresses, reception and bar servers. The room was very adequate and as on the website, bathroom nice size, towels soft and bedding excellent. Dinner in the restaurant was interesting with local, and vegetarian choices, good helpings and nicely served. Parking on site OK. Wifi good.
Cons: The shower rose was more like a hosepipe, and there was no adjustment to position, direction or height of the shower head. No pets allowed so we left our dogs at home, which restricted us to a one night stay, where two would have suited us better.
Located in Priego de Cordoba, Huerta de las Palomas is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Priego de Cordoba History Museum and Carnicerias Reales. Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff all very good, friendly and helpful
Cons: The menu was fairly limited.
Pros: If you want to stay in elegant, boutique and Spanish stile hotel, you have to book Hotel Paloma. The hotel is between Cordoba, Granada and Malaga. We choose as it is on the middle of those cities and at the same time I expected to be calm and welcome place. It was more than that - very detailed design every where in the hotel, bird song during the morning, amazing restaurant with world class food. There is a free parking.
Pros: The staff and food, especially Andreas!
Cons: The bed was very hard and every time you turned over, it made a banging against the wall sound.
Pros: Top-hospitality of the staff, excellent food thnx to the great cheff, nice pool, quit beatifull place
Pros: New pool arrangement- very good staff - the steak was the best we have had in any country, and the building is beautiful.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike
Pros: The staff are all lovely. Very friendly and helpful. We have stayed a few times and they remember us and welcome us back.
Cons: It's always very sad to leave!
Pros: Quiet location, nice building, comfortable sized room
Cons: Location Loud because of animals all night, awaken up at 5:30 h Event in the night too loud Bath and room were partially separated Pool had fairly deckchairs The outfit was too old and shabby Hotel entrance was blocked through tables and chairs, no way to roll on the baggage Food was not individually cookes
Pros: Everything else was very good and we really enjoyed our visit.
Cons: The beds were hard . Loved the place but would not return because of the beds. They were not comfortable
Pros: The rooms are spacious, well decorated and the gardens surrounding the hotel and pool attractive
Cons: The first night was given a side-facing room. Dogs barked all night long so very little rest. Next day was moved to a front-facing room which was much quieter. Breakfast was disappointing.
With a stay at Hospedería San Francisco in Priego de Cordoba, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of San Francisco Church and Church of La Asuncion. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and a library.
Pros: Beautiful and peaceful. Views from window spectacular. Staff helpful. Everywhere very clean and location perfect. Parking is 5 euros a day and must reserve but well worth it as nowhere else to park in the pueblo and car is safe there.
Cons: Tiny problem one night noisey people in room next door, walls a bit thin.
Pros: Beautiful relaxing hotel in a church. The beds were really comfortable and a great bathroom.
Pros: A very unique hotel inside a beautiful historic building. The location was great, right in the heart of the old part of the village and a good base for wandering around the area. There are lots of good bars and restaurants nearby. The breakfast was a buffet which was simple but with decent variety - fresh bread to toast, fruit salad, yogurts, good coffee, juice, etc.
Pros: A peaceful place in a nice location.
Cons: The parking was a bit tricky.
Pros: The old building is beautiful and the rooms very confortable
Cons: Don't follow the GPS instructions and go by the center of the village. The breakfast is just regular but acceptable for the cost (3eur).
Pros: Breakfast typically Spanish with cut meats bread coffee and orange juice Very quiet and very religious surrounding but a lovely place
Cons: Cooked meals
Pros: A Convent converted to a hotel, good continental breakfast, good parking in nearby area
Pros: A very peaceful location in a lovely part of old Priego, within easy walking distance of the 'villa' and the town's most interesting monuments. Comfortable bed and nice view out across a little square to surrounding hills. Would happily return.
Cons: Tricky access by car - the hotel's car park is in a narrow street, a way from the hotel - and breakfast was really not good. The bread was stale and the orange juice carton variety. Wifi didn't work well in bedroom and was slow in dining room.
Pros: Lovely location well of the usual tourist trail
Cons: Very hard to find, friendly locals helped though
Pros: Lovely welcome at front desk then the treat of a first viewing of the old building. Comfy functional room, good view. Plentiful buffet continental breakfast. Fascinating town to enjoy.
Cons: Not the hotel's fault.... For the first time Google maps could not get us to the hotel, as a road direction had changed. After the craziest of routes we left the car on the edge of town and walked in!
A stay at Hotel Las Rosas places you in the heart of Priego de Cordoba, within a 10-minute walk of Priego de Cordoba History Museum and Neptune's Fountain. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and a library.
Pros: Since coming before the rooms seem to have been redecorated and improved. Cleaner everyday
Cons: The only thing was that the lift doesnt work
Located in Priego de Córdoba, Hosteria de Rafi has a restaurant and rooms with free WiFi. Set in a traditional Andalusian townhouse, it features a traditional tiled patio. Each air-conditioned room at Hosteria de Rafi has simple décor. There is a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Guests can enjoy breakfast in the Rafi’s café. The restaurant serves regional cuisine, including roasted meats and fish dishes. Iznájar and its lake are less than 30 km from the guest house. Granada and Jaén can be reached in just over an hour by car.
Pros: The staff treated us like family
Pros: A very pleasant hotel in the centre of town. My satnav took me round in circles because of the pedestrianisation so best take a print extract from a Google street map with you. Immediate street parking is difficult and if you do park nearby be aware that you’ll have to move your car before 9.30 am. I eventually found free street parking in a square not far away but I would recommend you book the hotel’s parking if it’s available as spaces are not easy to come by. The reception and small courtyard were colonially quaint and the staff friendly and very helpful. The room was "old fashioned Spanish" and very comfortable with all modern facilities and, despite overlooking the narrow street, very quite. I was there on Sunday night and could only find one restaurant open nearby so I had a meal at a table in the hotel bar along with a number of locals and enjoyed it very much. I’m never very keen to stay in town centre hotels (parking difficulties, traffic congestion & noise, usually more expensive etc.) but this was a great little family run hotel at a reasonable price in a very convenient spot to be able to stroll around this historical town.
Pros: Good location. Helpful staff! Amazingly spectacular town! Would highly recommend location of this hotel!
Cons: Room over street too noisy! Bed uncomfortable!
Pros: The location was amazing and the staff very helpful and friendly
Pros: Breakfast normal spanish. Proprietor very nice and friendly, distressed to find I'd paid for a double room when travelling solo (he would have charged me less except that I'd paid in advance) so threw in breakfast and offer of free parking! restaurant and bar food good. A happy-seeming place where they want you to have a good stay.
Cons: The streets are frighteningly narrow around there. Having got a car stick a couple of years back, less than 100metres from the hosteria, I declined the offer to bring the car back in there. Basically, you need to dump the car outside the centre and carry your luggage. I'm happy to do just that, but can imagine it is an off-put for many.
Pros: Cozy and friendly
Pros: The hosteria is centrally located in this historic town near the castle in a maze of small lanes and alleys. It has a cosy bar where breakfast was served. I had an authentic oxtail stew for dinner although I was dissuaded from having a first course as I was told the portions were too big. A problem I have found in a couple of places in Andalusia.
Cons: The small room was at the end of a long corridor leading to the only stairway. In the event of a fire I could be in trouble.
Pros: Traditional Spanish setting
Cons: Depressing corridors
With a stay at Hotel Restaurante Zahorí in Priego de Cordoba, you'll be just steps from Church of La Asuncion and Priego de Cordoba Church of La Asuncion. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient- have stayed here before and everything as good this time- rooms comfortable and clean. Food and snacks excellent, prices good . A proper Spanish experience!!!
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: An excellent location in the heart of the town. A very comfortable room - great shower!
Cons: If you need a reasonably early checkout make sure you mention it - we didn't (our fault) but were caught out as there was no-one around at 7.30am on a Sunday.
Pros: Good position, good food, easy walking distance to town and sites. Quiet at night,
Cons: No hairdryer, terribly tiny bed. Room and bed not made everyday
Pros: Think we were the only people staying but received a warm welcome and attentive service. Enjoyed the typical Spanish breakfast.
Cons: Early morning noise from jack hammers at the nearby castle renovation - no fault of the hotel.
Pros: Very helpful staff. Lovely room.
Pros: Central location. Historic building sympathetically adapted to provide modern facilities.
Cons: Nothing if you want an old and historic hotel in the centre of town this is the place.
Pros: great location, pleasant, helpful staff.
Pros: The bar downstairs was so cool and outside is the nice narrow streets of prıego was wonderful
Pros: Lovely location, for a one night stop over. Rooms were 'quaint' and comfy.
Cons: Restaurant was closed in the evening.
Pros: Great hotel! The room was very beautiful, clean and super charming. It makes you feel really in place as it has a typical architecture. All extremely clean and pleasant. The staff was fantastic: Maite, always very kind, ready to help whenever needed. Besides the friendly Mr. Custodio, always advising me about the beauties of Priego de Córdoba. Excellent choice!

Pros: I mostly never come v=back at the same place. The location was very nice
Pros: Rustic and peaceful in the middle of the countryside which is just what we wanted.
Cons: No internet connection in rooms but we did know that before we arrived
Pros: Excellent rural setting. A lot of rustic charm. Near to Carcabuey, Hot water, shower, and kitchenette good. Excellent patio space with fence to allow outside space for dogs to settle. Dog friendly.
Cons: Very little bedroom furniture - OK for short stay but not for a week or more. No toaster! Wifi only works in front of office at far side of buildings. TV was not working. Note that the chickens are let out of their pen during the day, so keep dogs on lead if they are likely to chase the birds!

Landmarks such as Barrio de La Villa or Fuente del Rey are a 10-minute walk away. Granada, Jáen and the Frederico García Lorca Airport are all located a 40-minute drive from the hotel. There is a bus stop 5 minutes walk away.
Pros: -Free parking
Cons: Hotel room tired and old fashioned No chairs on the small balcony Small double bed No sun loungers by the pool Old brush found in the waste bin in the bathroom Staff did not care about us leaving one day early, infact they never asked!
Pros: Spacious rooms.
Cons: Quite dated, but we got a good rate, so didn't mind.
Pros: Close (walking distance) to Priego de Cordoba
Cons: Everything is very old
Pros: Quiet location, good parking, nice art work.
Cons: Not much.
Pros: We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, given the mixed reviews. The room was large and comfortable as were the beds. There was plenty of free parking. The guy at reception was very friendly. It's out of town but only a few minutes drive and no-one is likely to stay there if they don't have a car.
Cons: It's definitely overpriced. It's also very hard to spot even though it's just off the main road because it has no signage other than what's on the building itself. We drove past it twice without seeing it and only found it because we went into Priego and asked at the tourist office, where they showed us a picture of the sign on the Hotel roof, which you can just about see over the trees from the main road. Once again, the room had no balcony even though the Booking.com entry specifically lists one in the room facilities. It did have a very nice, large window and the room was light and airy but either Booking.com or the hotel is wrong about the specifics of the room.
