8.8 Excellent
Pros: It is an old castle on the top of a hill with fantastic views. Bedrooms spacious and with air conditioning and balconies. Good pool and lovely grounds.
Cons: Jaen is not an interesting town! Food choice was between a big dinner or a bar snack of toasted sandwiches, had the bar snack - which turned out to be large - but a broader choice would have been better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect peaceful location - lovely walks around Parador at night to see it all illuminated. Will. Retail you re is it this place .
Cons: It was all excellent
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Looked like it's a part of the castle with a great view, our room had a balcony, the restaurant is nice we had dinner and breakfast. Free parking :).
Cons: The bed was too small for a couple and the access to the rooms was difficult without help with the luggage since there was no big elevator and we had to carry the luggage for few steps until we get to elevator.
6.8 Good
Pros: Amazing location . Beautiful building
Cons: Food in main restaurant poor and expensive Limited options for food in the bar or anywhere else in the hotel Limited drinks (a few cans available around the pool area ) Pool only opened at 11 am When asked for a late check out when the hotel was almost empty was told could only do it if We took lunch in the hotel , when there was a sign in the lift advertising late check out for 25 euros Power cut in the night on our corridor . Had to find our way round with a torch. Only sorted in the morning Stayed in the parador in Córdoba which was slightly better but staff there rude and abrupt Always wanted to visit the paradores in Spain but have no desire to visit any others
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Magnificently restored castle with great views. Big swimming pool with lovely gardens and a very good restaurant
Cons: Nothing. This exceeded our expectations
9.3 Excellent
Pros: -Excellent property (it used to be a convent) in a great location right on top of the hill and next to the castle, although a bit tired. Lovely room and bathroom, although we missed having a kettle and tea making in the room. -Breakfast was fantastic value. A huge spread in the beautiful dining room. -Dinner was a bit disappointing, as there were almost no vegetarian options, and while they managed to make tasty starters, the mains were underwhelming. However, the sumptuous decor, excellent wine, bread, olive oil, cheese, dessert and attentive staff made for a special evening! Lovely pool - perfect for cooling off on a hot day.
Cons: -Missed having a kettle in the room for tea -Would have liked a more innovative menu, including tasty vegetarian options, especially hot (temperature) food for mains both in the dining room and in the bar.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Setting, pool, beautiful building, fantastic views.
Cons: Under staffed - slow service. Average food. Needed more outside places to sit and drink
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Paradors in Spain are a treasure for travelers, and the Parador in Jaen is no exception. It sits at the top of a hill, offering sweeping views of the city and countryside. Although the ride into the city center for sightseeing is long, staying at the parador was worth the extra hassle. Our room was lovely. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were delicious. The service was superb.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location and overall setting. The view. The friendly and obliging staff.
Cons: Having to pay 36euro for two breakfasts. I feel this should have been included in the room charge.

Cons: We didnt realise that the pool didnt open until 1st June, we stayed on 31st May, it was 34 degrees when we arrived at 17:30! Management should consider a more appropriate earlier date to open the pool, perhaps May 1st

Cons: Good place to stay short terms, no secure parking but the street is safety.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was an unpretentious hotel that delivered what you would expect
Cons: Some of the fixtures and fittings are starting to get past their best, will need a refurb soon to keep it up to spec.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Travelling South we couldn't access our villa until the following day so decided to stop over here. First thing to say is absolute doddle to find easy access and loads of parking out front of the hotel. Friendly welcome at check in and in the cafe bar where we had an early tea. Our room was a good size, large comfortable bed, really big TV on wall to which you could HDMI link if you wanted, fast efficient wifi and easy to use and effective air con. Breakfast was taken in a dining room on the lower floor and an all you can eat and drink buffet policy was good value. Outside was a nice garden and a pleasant and quiet pool to splash about in. All in all a real find. The centre of Jaen was easily accessible and if you didn't want to drive a taxi was about 10-12 euros.
Cons: Nothing at all. Very happy with our our choice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was a buffet and it was great. A good variety of foods to suit all nationalities The location was perfect
Cons: Absolutely nothing

8.3 Excellent
Pros: AC worked really good. Staff great!!! Restaurant out front door and free parking. Great castle to visit!!!
7.0 Good
Cons: Ants in one of the beds
4.5 Okay
Pros: Pleasant and helpfull staff
Cons: Location, rooms - very uncharming. Im not a ‘hostal person’ but the hostal was the only option i could find for tje night in Jaén as i was on a bike tour. But i have stayed in more charming hostals over the years.
6.8 Good
Cons: cold room, only one blanket
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Free parking!!! Good location for seeing the sights and near a good supermarket. Definitely would return.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. For the breakfast you go to the bar of the station. Not included in the room rate. Good breakfast. Also good tapas in the evening. Friendly and helpful young men at the reception. This hotel is ideal if you arrive or leave by train. The bus station and all sights are a real hike up the hill but I didn't mind. You just should know that in advance. Jaén is a pleasant not too big city, a university town. Not crowded with tourists. I liked my stay there.
Cons: /
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Better than expected. Clean room, nice bathroom.
Cons: - The pillow could be less thick.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A simple hostal in a central position between the centre of the city and the university. Modern nice rooms, modern bathroom. The close café Estación has mean tapas (food is better) but makes gut coffee and people are friendly. There are more places nearby for eating. Just visit the park just to the north.
Cons: The part of the hostal that faces to the parking area is noisy until 1:30am since the café has outside guests from 9pm to 1am and makes noise when removing tables, coolers etc. after closing. The opposite face to the railway station has a less nice view but is less noisy.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Expected free breakfast but this was no longer offered however we were provided with a voucher to obtain toast coffee and orange at the station buffet foc
Cons: Nothing

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Easy access to the ferry port.
Cons: Location was deplorable- right next door to a petrol refinery!!!! This should be mentioned in the hotel description - also the price should reflect the location. No food at all available until 8.00p.M. and then only a burger or sandwiches. This is not acceptable when there are no restaurants in the vicinity and obviously they must be missing out on a huge increase in turnover.!!!!!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Easy access from the highway Great satisfaction with price Nice restaurant
Cons: Little bit old facilities but it’s not a big deal
7.0 Good
Cons: We would have expected breakfast to be included for the price we paid
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient stop off on a long trip from southern Spain to northern Germany. Only a short distance from the motorway. The hotel is modern and the rooms comfortable. There is an adjacent restaurant which serves the hotel. Evening meal was reasonably priced but the staff had very limited English. With the help of Google translate I had an enjoyable meal
Cons: Breakfast was a little limited and not really to my taste, but there seemed to be plenty of locals breakfasting there so it was probably just me.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Out of town but an easy drive to downtown parking in Jaen
Cons: The pillows in Spain are a pain and the mattresses tend to be hard. Great bathroom. Very good staff.
7.5 Good
Cons: 20€ taxi to center of Jaén
7.0 Good
Pros: The Hotel section was good and the room was clean and comfortable. It was an ideal hotel for stopover enroute to South Coast.
Cons: The eating arrangements are provided in the adjacent Hotel Restaurant. Dinner was ok, reasonable menu and the food was well prepared, the table service was 'functional' provided by the barkeeper. Breakfast was a different matter, you take breakfast in the bar area adjacent to the Restaurant. There is no buffet type arrangement, guests have to order what they want across the bar, which can be a challenge. The bar is typically Spanish with locals, including workmen, using the bar for their breakfast/morning break, rather noisy and difficult to get served at times. So not a typical breakfast arrangement for a 3*? hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was fine
Cons: I liked all
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel: Situated close to motorway system. Staff: Welcoming and cheerful. Room: Comfortable, clean and quite even though Hotel situated close to a road, motorway and railway line. Pros: I am on a motorcycle tour so I am interested in places that are out of the way where my bike will be safe, also not really interested in shops and the like. This is a nice remote relaxing hotel with restaurant with great views. Good choice in the restaurant and the steak I had was excellent, as was the wine. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a problem with my bike so they allowed me to put it in their shed so I could repair it out of the rain. They even offered to help, but I was able to fix it myself.

Hotel Infanta Cristina - Jaén - Building
11
8.1 Excellent (1,858 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Infanta Cristina in Jaen, you'll be a 4-minute walk from Monumento a los Donantes de Sangre and 13 minutes by foot from Parque del Bulevar. Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and a meeting room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is easy to locate and check in was friendly and efficient. We parked on street so cannot comment on the parking facility. Good room and bathroom size and spotlessly clean. We had lunch in the restaurant which was very good and served with care to detail. Breakfast was equally good with plenty of variety and all fresh/reshly prepared (even the fruit juices) Gluten free needs are well catered for with the waiters showing knowledge and understanding. Even providing a separate toaster without having to ask for it! All the staff went about their work with quiet efficiency. It is a little bit of a walk into the town and it is on an incline so if walking is not your thing then check on the bus routes.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean, close to the centre of the city and the room was comfortable. I will certainly stay here again if I have my suit with me.
Cons: Maybe I am used to much space in Sweden that is why I thought the underground parking was scary and was not well planned and thought through. The fee for the parking is not worth it. Park outside if you are not used to this kind of parkings. It would also be more practical with movement sensor to open garage doors and for ceiling lights. Running between the car and the light buttons was unpractical and uncomfortable for small kids, every time they find themselves in the dark. The air in the parking is very hot and not fresh because of the AC generators. The hotel felt very exclusive and a bit not for a blue collar person like me (university professor though). I am very allergic to “suit protocols” and some looks in the elevator. I easily can afford an Armani, but again I am allergic to that.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room, clean room, toothbrushes for 2 adults
Cons: Windows need to be clean. Breakfast average and expensive
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable Good parking for motorcycle Good traditional styling
Cons: Nothing

Pros: We loved the ‘flat’ city centre, the Cathedral and the best was the Arab Baths, with views for mikes
Cons: Rather hilly
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very stylish hotel with a lovely swimming pool for guests. Very friendly and helpful staff. Secure underground parking for the car. Various good restaurants and bars located nearby.
Cons: Located about a mile from the centre of town with a long uphill gradient- so we took a local bus rather than walk. Quite tight to get a large car in and out of the underground car park - but very secure!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel with good facilities and secure parking. The hotel has a grand feel about it and the breakfast was good.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great food good value
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel with great value suite provided
Cons: Jacuzzi included in bathroom which when switched on threw out dirt as it obviously hadn't been used for a long time.

Pros: Excellent Andalusian breakfast Left luggage an option Spacious room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Stayed one night and location was very good. Room was a good size, as was the bathroom and was clean. Parking was 13euro and not too far from hotel. Only a 10 min walk to Cathedral and 15 min to Arab baths, both of which were worth the effort. We also drove up to Castillo de Santa Catalina which overlooks the city from where there are fantastic views.
7.0 Good
Pros: Close to the bus station and quiet
Cons: A bit minimalist for me. Bed a bit narrow and short!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable hotel with big rooms in a great central location. Despite being very close to bars etc, quiet and peaceful at night. Good Spanish breakfast.
Cons: Difficult to park as in most Spanish cities, but that's not the fault of the hotel. When hotel is full, breakfast room gets very crowded.
6.8 Good
Pros: Shower good
Cons: We returned from the theatre thinking we could have a drink and something to eat at the hotel. No bar and no restaurant! This was not mentioned in the description of the hotel. Also the top floor from which you can see the cathedral lit up at night wasn't open on both occasions we wished to go up there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Hotel
Cons: Parking a little complicated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff, quiet rooms, good breakfast!
Cons: Not so easy to find because there are lots of one way roads in Jaén. Use a map instead of sat nav!
6.3 Good
Pros: Good position, near the city center. The breakfast was good.
Cons: Dirty (chocolate stains in the bedroom floor, strange stains in the bathroom door, powder everywhere) and noisy.
6.8 Good
Pros: The location is great, directly in the center. The rooms are ok, nothing special but all clean.
Cons: It's noisy. You can here the people at the street especially from the restaurant in front of the hotel
Iberos Jaén - Jaén - Bedroom

7.9 Good (243 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Iberos Jaén in Jaen, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Jaen Provincial Museum and Plaza de las Batallas. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
6.8 Good
Pros: First room was really good but they had double booked it for the 2nd night and we had to change room.
Cons: We had to change room on the 2nd night to a poorer standard room with inferior beds.
7.0 Good
Cons: Staff friendly but Spanish speaking only - It is a flat with rooms to rent.
6.8 Good
Pros: The suite looked new and the beds were comfortable It was close to the bike trail I was taking
Cons: I am traveling by bicycle so you have to keep that in mind with this review. Being from Canada I could not tell this hotel was on the sixth floor, but that is part of the learning process. So the bicycle was a big pain for them and I get that. That air conditions did not work very well either, there was not a remote in the room and I had to ask to get it. I think if you were just an average traveler with no bike it would be just ok. It is in the centre of town but the sights are 1.3 km away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was fantastic: spacious, clean and modern looking. The facilities were in perfect condition, and having a private bathroom was great. The location was brilliant too, right in the middle of town.
Cons: It was quite difficult to find. The sign was 6 floors up, so unless you look very very hard for it, it's hard to know where to enter.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Stayed for one night as I was travelling with work. Arrived late so didn't see much of the surrounding area. But the hotel was located very central and close to the train station which was great. The bed was comfy, but the room was a little cold (due to the weather). Overall, I had a good nights sleep. I was very impressed by the shower in the room. It was ULTRA-modern. Perfect little place for a one nights stay.
6.3 Good
Pros: Host was nice, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. Shower good too.
Cons: Street parking was difficult. Almost got towed. There was no toilet seat for some reason and when we notified the owner, the response came too late and we had already left.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The rooms are small but are well equiped and the massage shower is excellent.
Cons: No heating in the night (they switch off the main tap) and no extra blankets...only a not so thick and old duffey. We stayed in march and it was cold. The rooms are in a normal spanish flat at level 6. No breakfast facilities. No views. No outer spaces.

7.5 Good
Pros: Quiet location
Cons: Felt rather abandoned and in need of some TLC.
7.5 Good
Pros: Spacious room with thoughtful decor, for example the pink and grey granite around the washbasin (technically a gneiss) matched the pink and grey tiles. Location was on the GR7 footpath (part of the E4 Long Distance European trail) that I was walking. The hotel is a little outside the village of Torres which I walked into but I am not sure it was worth the climb back up to the hotel!
Cons: A few little things like the tap being wobbly on the bathroom basin and the cushion on the seat falling through on me. Dinner portions were on the modest side.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed and location
Cons: Generally tired looks like it suffered from the recession. Could be wonderful with TLC
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: The hotel is uncared for and a little run down. The staff are disorganized and the cost cutting included failing to replace the gel and shampoo daily.
7.0 Good
Pros: The outdoor terrace to the room A1 we liked as good to have somewhere to sit outside the room. Car parking very good. The scenery was stunning.
Cons: The grounds needed tidying up, lots of cigarette stubs.storage area on view outside cafe area spoilt the look of the place. Wild feral cats roaming the grounds and came into restaurant whilst we were eating our meal.

Cons: Maybe staff a little more guest friendly??? Always very polite & able to answer queues etc but not as approachable as some similar places we've stayed in.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The biggest asset of this property is its proximity to the Cathedral of Jaen, a 3 minute walk from the hotel. I also appreciated the rooftop patio where you have a wonderful view of the Cathedral lit up at night. Truly a beautiful site.
Cons: We had quite a bit of trouble trying to get the Wifi to work in our room, although the very earnest desk clerk did her best to finally get it sorted out.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Central location. Beds were huge and very comfortable. Continental breakfast served buffet style and had all you need.
Cons: Room on the front elevation was a bit noisy when bars closed at night and opened first thing.

Pros: The place in in the center of the city, 5 min. to the Cathedral. Nice room with good wi-fi, hot water, comfortable beds. Everything was perfect. The person on the reception was very nice ! :)
Cons: There is a bar on the street. Our stay was on Saturday and there were many people outside. Despite the noise, we slept very well.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good location!
Cons: You don't get keys for the front door so sometimes you have to wait a couple of minutes for the door to be opened. Anyways it is a bit uncomfortable having to bother the owner every time you need to enter, but he was very nice and always trying to explain that it was ok for him to open the door at anytime.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location is good and the guy was nice to give me some hot water.
Cons: Very basic property even without a basket in the room.
7.5 Good
Pros: Convenient location with 24h reception. Spacious room with TV and heating.
Cons: A bit old looking and smelling.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location and Staff. Close to city center, and Jaen attractions
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the towels. Gave the owner a few tips to repaint the pink room with white and put in hooks and translucent curtains when I left, he promised to follow up and improve the heating as well. Hw apologised more than once for the discomfort.
Cons: The pokey entrance, the owner was shopping while we waited ringing the bell because we were early. Room wasn't. We couldn't draw the curtains open as this allowed no privacy from the windows of the apartments across the road so it was dark always in the room. Hand towels were given after asking. The second day the room wasn't made saying he thought we had taken the room key with us. Insufficient space to hang up clothes. The owner apologised more than once for the disturbance occurred.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, nice rooms, great value !
Cons: No key to entrance - Someone needs to open the door !

Pros: Smart clean rooms. Central location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location in Jaén. Room was very clean and comfortable, with air-con! Really friendly staff/owner. Very good value.
Cons: There are time restrictions on check in, which I only realised quite late on. This didn’t cause me any problems, but might be worth making more clear. Also, some more info on how to hand back keys on checkout and exit building - I found this a bit confusing.
6.8 Good
Pros: The commitment of the owner / reception manager who tried to satisfy the clients' needs, even if there was a big communication problem (he speaks just his mother tongue - Spanish).
Cons: No chance to get in before 1 pm (the official check-in time), no permanent reception. The room very average, very basic standard...
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Curtains too thin, walls thin as paper, tv didn’t work, AC didn’t work
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and friendly guy on the reception. He also clean the bathroom and the rooms daily
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff! Absolutely clean. Also the common bathroom. Ok for the price.
Cons: It is very basic. The beds are quite simple but with ok comfort. Place is difficult to find. It is just an apartment in a multi storey complex right in the centre. Difficult parking.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly receptionist, the overall cleanliness of the place, the location - just 5 minutes to the bus station and 7-8 minutes to the city centre.
Cons: I couldn't switch on the air condition, perhaps because of faulty batteries (the same with TV, but there I could use buttons on the TV set to swap channels etc ), and as a result it was very cold in the room. Even with additional blankets I found it difficult to get warm for sleep.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location
