Having to wait two hours for our room to be ready
service and leisure centre room a bit warm.only 4 irish channels on telly even though it advertised more and internet was not working
Pool seemed nice. Staff pleasant and helpful. Food was dreadful - breakfast and dinner. Rooms had missing lightbulbs. A lot of paint and superficial damage to walls and doors in bedroom. Choice of tv stations poor, reception poor.
wonderful large room in a beautiful old building
Staff very friendly, Hotel and facilites very good Atmosphere in hotel excellent.
The kudos restaurant was a fantastic change from the usual "a la carte" options Our room was situated as far away as possible from any life form! and the room was a tad small and claustrophobic. Took 10 minutes to reach it from the lift. but when i told staff they did advise next time to ask for a closer room - so credit where credit is due!
The space in the family suite. Lack of choice for food after 6, esp for older children. No bar food, only expensive restaurant open
Nice Spa area, clean room. extremely large house, weddings with loud drunken people
the quality of the bed linen and towels
Efficient friendly staff even though were busy. Interesting decor , good bar food and breakfast buffet. Damp and slightly dark car park needs painting to reflect some light ad some spaces need remarking. Lifts seem to be very slow to respond.
Location. The toilets in the hotel have to be the worst i have ever come across. The pressure in the flush needs to be increased
I loved the design, the glass front of the hotel offered lovely views across Sligo. The hotel bar could be extremely if there was a function in the upper bar area, as the music could be heard throughout the bottom bar and in some of the bedrooms.
location very central you need to provide a better lift service for people trying to get from car park to reception 12 mins waiting for lift and eventually had to drag cases up the stairwell not a good first impression . Picture on bedroom wall in room too much but i will accept that only my personal opinion
Comfortable bed The room was too warm, and I couldn't turn down the heat. The shower had terrible water pressure. The car park was not easy to find (poorly signposted).
The staff were willing to facilitate in any way they could and the food was excellent. Very impressive hotel.
The room was clean and tasteful The noise from guests banging doors at 3am became monotonous, no good for a full night sleep, door springs would help.
Very comfortable bed, good location and friendly staff. Lighting in the bathroom could be improved as poor for applying makeup.
The location of the hotel. The comfort. The parking. It was perfect for the business i had to do
Location brilliant. Staff very friendly. Definately will stay there again
Staff are professional and friendly not as near to Rosses Point as we had hoped
Location and some staff. Early check-in. I asked for two things at the front desk. Despite promises to deal with the problems, nothing happened.
The Spa Facilities are superb and the rooms are bright and spacious. It's just a little too far away from the town centre and unless you drive it entails taking taxis which adds additional cost.
Lovely hotel very comfortable, spectacular views, very helpful staff, great breakfast buffet. Nice location close to fabulous beach at Rosses point.
great location, friendly staff, lovely rooms, clean and large
The staff were very friendly, room was very comfortable, everyhing very clean. Really enjoyed our stay. Woul definetly go back!
The health centre and restaurant bar. After a lot of travelling it was great to be able to use these facilities.
Good location and friendly staff.
Hotel staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful. The leisure facilities are excellent, and general standards of cleanliness are very good overall. Breakfast was also first class. Overheard other guests complaining (on more than one occasion) that food in the restaurant was very poor, but can't confirm or otherwise as we didn't actually eat in the hotel.
The hotel was clean with a friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was nice though a bit disorganised. There was in particular that I did not like about the hotel.
rooms and facilities bar prices
Great location, Very clean apartments, top of the range appliances, all brand new, Spacious, Quiet None
central location with good restaurant. reception staff on arrival was brilliant on second night just the opposite we would have had a totally different impression of the hotel had we been checking in then! The dirty carpet(stained) and rusty bath detracted from an otherwise 1st class experience.
It was a nice and friendly place. Very clean and warm. Would recommend it to all my friends.
I couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough. Great value for money and lovely services.
The suite was very good value for money, being very big with all mod cons etc. It is very close to Sligo town centre with many pubs and restaurants nearby. The accommodation was quiet at night which enabled us to sleep okay which we liked. There seemed to be no hot water in the hot taps but when I let one of them run for over five minutes, the water gradually became hot enough to enable me to shave.
its locationis excellent on the river nice for walking but convenient for shopping as well lack of parking
Well located close to centre of town, comfortable and spacious. Car parking is limited.
The commitment of staff to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible Kitchen utensils were cheap and basic
The Location of the hotel was very central with easy access to the town centre. The apartment was well equipped especially the kitchen having appliances such as dishwasher etc. The spartment was well laid out and very spacious The apartment while was very clean in general and well presented there were a few minor cosmetic things that could have been solved with a small bit of maintenance. These included stain on carpet, marks on wardrobe door, rusting on lamp.
It was a short overnight stay and I did not have the opportunity to avail of all the services. The room was comfortable although it could have been a little warmer. It would be unfair of me to recommend on such a short visit and for the same reason I would not be over critical. Tea/coffe making facility was in an awkward position...at head height within the wardrobe!!! Potentially dangerous. Apart from that and the heat, the room was perfectly adequate
The organization, the cleansing of the room, the restaurant and the use of the wonderful swimming pool included in the fee.
The booking was handled so quickly and efficiently, and check in and out was very well handled.
comfortable spacious room and excellent service.
it was clean friendly well located and affordable the entire stay was very nice
Relaxation. Good Breakfast.Efficient Service.
The hotel has a great swimming pool and tennis courts, which were usually easy free. Our family room was great as it was close to leisure center and overlooked tennis courts. No.
The staff and facilities were excellent. As we had young children and infants the staff were only too willing to help. The food was excellent and the bar staff very friendly and the breakfast buffet excellent.
Nice hotel. We stayed in a triple room which had a good size.
The staff were extremely polite and helpful, we really couldnt fault them
The staff is very helpful and the room was spacious and very clean. There are also lots of car spaces. Many steps up to the main entrance. The bar was a little antiquated and the lunch menu was very limited. No information was given when I arrived on their leisure facilities.
Leaving it. This hotel is very tired and needs a major overhaul. 1st room offered was dingy with hardly any light and dark wallpaper - very depressing. Second room was lighter but bathroom fittings were loos. Bed had nylon sheets. Breakfast was adequate. We left after one night.
The Southern Hotel Group when it was built was one of the best groups for travellers. However now that it is a McEniff Hotel its standards are much lower. The rooms were ok, but the mattresses and pillows were the cheapest foam products. The worst was the restaurant - dinner at a set price of €38 per person. No a la carte menu. The menu (full of misspellings) was like a menu from the 1970's ie turkey & ham covered in gravy, vegetable soup, semolina pudding (school food). Seven of us sat down at a table, (despite having advised the dining room in advance that we wished to have a table for 7) it had not even a tablecloth. The table was dressed with us all sitting there. Service appalling
We found this a very pleasant hotel. We expected a generic N American style Best Western and were happy to find it an old and atmospheric place. We always love a visit to Sligo and enjoyed its proximity to the town so that we could walk around. Breakfast was good and the decor of the hotel was very nice. Would certainly stay again when visiting Sligo. None
It was convient to the centre of town. Felt the hotel is out dated, dark and the rooms need to be upgraded, TV on table, bathrooms were outdated and the bath itself was yellow due to not being replaced in years.
Bar food at 6.00pm suited as we were going to a show at 8. Food was excellent. Desk staff helped make theatre reservation which was appreciated. Steps both inside and outside hotel were a problem as my husband is visually impaired. Also walk in shower in bedroom would make life a little easier!
well it waslovely and warm and very relaxing and the room was great very comfortably
Very friendly and welcoming staff Room was nice and bed very comfy apart from the smell of mould and limescale everywhere in bathroom.
Staff friendly Sometimes 2 single beds are put together to make a double with 2 single quilts, not very comfortable
I did like the morning brakfast, but could not understand why no one was able to sit at the window tables, for those of us reading, working ect the light would be better, and it is silly to dress the tables and then gard them from the people, what are they show and tell, as far as the people looking in, when no one is at the table it looks empty, not just pretty, people at the tables look busy, silly policy, We (the hote did l andI) did not know the phone was not working in my room , when it could not be fixed they ds, id move me, but this did go on my first few day
Liked its closeness to town centre
The location in the centre of Sligo. Free parking. Breakfast. The bath drained slowly. There was a stray sock beside my bed. Wireless internet was available but the cost prevented me from using it.
Friendly staff - good central location. I have stayed at this hotel on business several times over the last 2 to 3 years and have never had a problem.
location and staff beds were lumpy-must not be flipped regurarly. no room service during night
room clean very central to shops staff friendly no room in car park no heating in room
Location Parking a little limited & hard to find.
Location in heart of town. Bar was not busy therefore lacked athmosphere
The staff were friendly and polite. The beds in the room were small and tilted i.e. foot of bed was higher than the head of the bed.
The staff, the room and the food no
Atmosphere very relaxed, rooms very warm. Rooms to front of hotel much better view, because we were on economy package our rooms overlooked the carpark. Hotel food excellent but a bit expensive, we ate in the local pub Mc Dermotts and the food was delicious and the presentation excellent. I didnt like the fact that you had to pay for use of the thermal room €10per person, I thought that this should be included in your room as it is ony the steam room sauna and outdoor hot tub.
The staff were extremely friendly. Beds and pilllows amazing. Everything very clean. Views of the lake are excellent and location incredibly peaceful. Nice to have a balcony. We were offered the use of the spa facilities for the whole day after checking out. Beds in double room small for a hotel. Room service very very expensive and barfood finishes early considering there is no other option for eating nearby. Great location for peace and quiet and a walking or spa holiday etc. but it was a little too quiet for me come evening time-not a lot to do once spa was closed and it got dark.
The Spa area was really nice but the room had a big hole in the wall. The location was in nice countryside setting. The breakfast was meant to have been bewtween 8-10 but I arrived at 830 and the staff had just started setting up. There was a big hole in the bedroom wall. The hotel stated that it was in Castlemartin but it was nearly 10 miles outside of this. Therefore this was very misleading as this added another 20 minutes onto the journey.
Cromleach Lodge was a real surprise and a great find. We will certainly return. The location is breath-taking and the breakfasts simply wonderful. There was always friendly staff willing to help and offer suggestions on things to do in the area. Nothing!
Very Nice Hotel We stayed in this hotel on one of the busiest weekends in the year during peak season and there was absolutely nothing to do or no entertainment provided.
Staff were extremely helpful and actually went out of their way to fulfill requests-breakfast good-coffee excellent I found it to be rather expensive..........even though it was of excellent standard
Excelent. Staff were really kind and helpful.
On arrival greeted by friendly hotel staff and shown to your room. All facilities available to you are outlined by the staff member. Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet exceptional and evening meal was second to none.
The friendliness of the staff. Relaxing atmosphere. Food was excellent. A little on the expensive side but very worth it.
Mount Edward may have been the cleanest place we EVER stayed ANYWHERE: everything sparkled. Hotel Employee was a terrific host and prepared a wonderful breakfast served in a cozy sunroom. The B&B is a convenient 15 minute drive from Sligo. Our room was a bit small: we had two big suitcases, which pretty much blocked the alleys around the bed. It was also the most expensive B&B we stayed at in Ireland, but the Sligo Fleadh was going on and no other place would book a one-night stay.
the relaxing atmosphere and friendliness of staff was brilliant
The location of the Yeats Country Hotel, Spa and Leisure club was convenient for my trip from Dungannon, Co.Tyrone to Inish Meain for the St Patrick's Day weekend break. I was travelling by car. I enjoyed my stay. The receptionist was helpful and allowed me to change my room when I explained that I had been give a room in the annex section of the hotel in which the corridors were freezing cold. My dinner of cod and salmon and the breakfast was very good with friendy and good service. I also liked that there were fires in both the dinning room and sitting areas - very needed in cool windy March days. One thing which I thought was AWFUL was the soap dispenser in the bathroom. This is such a clinical item with its unpleasant assocciation with public toilets. And, how is a guest meant to reach this dispenser attached high up on the wall when having a bath. PLEASE take these out and provide soap either in a dispenser bottle or a bar of soap. This arrangement if not changed would make me book elsewhere in the future when in Rossess Point. Thank-you for the opportunity to complete the hotel questionaire and send you these comment. I do hope the time I have take to do so will be worthwhile. Sincerely, Carol Coary
The cleaner tried 3 times to get into our room on the Sunday morning even though check out was not until 12 noon.
We only booked at the last minute as a stop over on a road trip...it was a great decision,,,,, staff were friendly,,,,,,,the rooms could hold a family,,,the hotel was warm and inviting and the staff very welcoming,,, Nothing
Staff & Location only good points along with reception area. Otherwise quite grubby. Bedroom - Room 107 - extremely dark, dark bed throws, taps different in bathroom, lighting awful, bath tap dripping, felt dirty, although not visible. As overlooking car park, people could see in unless we blocked out the daylight by closing the curtains. As for value for money - the worst I've experienced in Ireland in years. Would discourage people from staying there as a result. Breakfast awful - horrible fry up. Had to wait for eggs, which ran out. I know it was a very busy weekend. But, white pudding was dreadful. Only fruit was grapefruit from a tin, not a yogurt in sight - Guys you need to up the ante a bit at the very least!!!
We stayed just one night and for this the hotel was perfect for our requirements. We would stay there again. No complaints
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities available. None
Comfortable public seating area. Buffet breakfast good.Rooms clean and adequate but, again, would benefit from refurbishment. Hotel could do with some refurbishment. A coat of paint on the outside would be a good place to start. Reception staff did not say 'thank you' when I pointed out that we had been undercharged by €37 on our restaurant bill (and of course I paid the higher amount). Not terribly gracious. Food in dining room decidedly uninspiring, food service was semi-industrial ; serving staff did their best but they were rushed and over-stretched.Comfortable public seating area. Hotel needs better management and leadership of staff. Buffet breakfast good. Hotel would be ok for a functional stay, for a night or two but would suggest eating elsewhere,. Not much by way of grounds.
Large comfortable bedroom and hotel is peaceful. Good, friendly bar staff. Breakfast only starts at 8am. Would prefer an earlier time midweek.
Not enough staff. Hotel was in ill repair. Restaurants did not have individual credit card machines. All charges had to be walked out to the main reseption where there was only one staff member on duty at a time. Bathroom was moldy.Kids swim team practicing at the leisure center.
