Reception Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant The Beefeater Restaurant lets the Premier Inn down, the evening meals my sister and I had were dreadful with mine being returned. The Inn did refund all meals. Breakfast was marginally better but I do not understand how scrambled eggs can be floating in water
No complaints at all None
Cost effective for overnight business trip Slight traffic noise. Would have preferred more teabags in room ( green tea ).
Hotel room was clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful Breakfast (included in the booking) was not particularly good. Hot food was unappetising and the restaurant ran out of 'continental' breakfast items. There was not fresh fruit and why serve muffins and even croiossants in the 'Land o' Cakes'? Why were there no morning rolls or scones? Local pastries and breads should be offered together with traditional delicacies otherwise one could be anywhere!
Good access from Edinburgh Resturant is limited to big portions and pub stile food being a Harvester
The staff was excellent, especially Rita, Louise and Tony. Very accommodating to guests' needs. Also Lesley in the next-door restaurant. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. The food at all our meals was very good.
Excellent staff, very helpful and friendly Curtain rail in room broken, offered money back, but did not accept, as only small problem caused by other customer not hotel.
All staff cheerful, helpful and informative including the attched Beefeater restaurant. Having this as a walk-through facility makes a big difference as it gives the complete hotel "feel". Would like radio available via the TV.
cleanliness & comfort was super
Staff helpful clean room nice brakfaast Need more tea coffe sugar and milk in rooms perhaps free veiw on T.v
The proximity to The New Lanark Mill museum. Was very quiet. Very friendly staff. Free WiFi in the public area. The too warm duvets and the "standard"size double beds, somewhat smaller than we are used to.
fHotel and all surrounding buildings, river and countryside are surperb, hard to beat. The hotel and staff are excellant and when no weddings, seminars etc. a very peaceful place to stay. the breakfast bar is lacking in fresh cheeses and hams, etc. It looks makeshift and lets the kitchen down.
staff very friendly and helpful. we stayed in the water lodge only downfall was bedrooms were downstairs toilet upstairs which made it a little inconvenient during the night. overall it was great.
We had the most fantastic stay. Everything was perfect, including the weather. The countryside was breathtaking. Food and service couldn't be bettered. We liked it all.
Ease of parking, good rooms and breakfast was excellent Winter months the hotel is a little quiet qnd lacks atmosphere
Price and location for Livingston Designer Outlet Booked 2 rooms 1 double where main light flashed on and off so we had to change rooms and 1 twin which was very small and basic
Relaxed and friendly atmosphere Tea and coffee was available but the previous guest stole the kettle
Free Wi Fi.Pub/restaurant on site.Shop Cash machine and takeaways nearby Electric shower.Portable tv
Close to pub and chinese restaurant Hotel loud and not very clean. rooms need some renowation
The hotel had good pub very good chinese rest' on site plus free parking Could be noisy at weekends so would suggest to book backroom if weekend visit. Had to email you as booked at £78 they charged £116 but you dealt with it very quickly and sorted the problem, will try in future to book with you again.
Rooms were reasonable. The location convienient for local industrial estate i was working at. Aged TV with limited signal - useless.
Welcoming and caring staff good sized room and warm or ventilated as needed Rather poor area for dining although weather poor the place was cold and unfriendly but compensated by good food and staff
Shower unit was clean and adequate. Very noisey and not as clean as we would like.
staff was friendly,, breakfast was good
Locality to work - purpose of stay Noise during night from guests above / part time reception / poor shower facilities
Staff very friendly and helpful Room very dated - bathroom from the seventies
The staff were very helpful and polite. room service was very good however the sink leaked, the bathroom wasnt the cleanest, the net curtains came off their hooks and the duvet was poor. the pool and "gym" area need a serious re-think / re-furb. see above.
The breakfast buffet. Excessive noise from other rooms.
Ease of Access
I am writing to the Hotel Manager to voice my complaint. Firstly, the beds were extremely uncomfortable - the springs had gone in both the room booked and the subsequent 'executive' room I was moved to. The carton of milk was passed it's sell by date and rendered the cup of tea undrinkable. The paper I ordered for Sunday morning failed to arrive before I left after breakfast. There was an air of disinterest on the part of the staff and I would never wish to stay at this Ramada hotel again.
Close to shopping centres Staff were unhelpful at breakfast no manners or greeting
Staff were friendly, polite and efficient, looking after the needs of large tour groups while ensuring that individuals and family groups needs were seen to. Location of hotel was ideal for combining touring of city and countryside as well as shopping.
The beds were very comfortable and the staff on reception were friendly and efficient. The decor was clearly past its best, the bathroom had mould in some parts and was also a very old dark gren (tres 60s). Whilst at breakfast we noted cutlery on the floor, which drew our attention to dirty skirting boards and dusty floorboards, cloths used to wipe tables were left lying on a table by the kitchen and staff who wore a unform which was too small for them.
Helpful staff and convenient location for my needs. Reasonable value for money and food very good. No problems
close drive to all attractions while staying out of the main city
This hotel is fantastic value for money - the staff are friendly and efficient, the food is simple and tasty, the rooms are comfortable and clean. One of the best 3 star hotels I have come across.
Friendly service no
Pleasant staff, public areas very good and well decorated.Food was good and reasonably priced. Value for money. Hallways to bedrooms scruffy and needs maintenance. Wall paper peeling in places, carpet edging strips need securing, generally needs a repaint and attention to detail. Took a while for hot water to come through in the morning. Bar prices were expensive.
location and standard of rooms
the friendly staff ,the very clean modern room, breakfast area,it was all lovely.
Friendly helpfull staff, clean comfortable room. Excellent 3 course evening meal at a bargain price. Pet friendly with no extra charge.
the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful
the hotel staff were very friendly especially a porter called gordon trying to get in the door at the hotel, both doors would not open and i had to struggle to get myself and my case through the revolving door
Personal service. Relaxed atmosphere. Comfortable room. Wireless connection was not very good.
The choice of food was poor and the bar meal we selected was very poor value for money.
Room smelt of stale smoke and shower was useless and room was changed to manager's room on complaint. Food and service poor.
It was comfortable and close to the M74 Be warned that there are quite a few stairs and no lifts
Friendliness of staff Range of draught beers limited
Very good helpfull staff with a great warm and friendly atmostphere to the hotel. Food in the Bistro was excellent. The whole experience was great and very good value for money. I would stay again. Bathrooms could do with upgrading
The staff werer very helpful. the rooms were very small.
Staff were most helpful, friendly and accommodating when requests were made of them and took trouble to resolve even small issues. Decor, furniture and bathroom fitments were a bit jaded but I understand these are due to be updated / replaced in due course. There was a water leak from the air vent in the bathroom of room 34 which was a nuisance.
Nice location and a nice Olde Worlde character. Excellent breakfast. Room very small and decor a little tired, but bed was comfortable and room temperature ok after the window had been open a few hours.
the location was excellent and mos t of the staff were exceedingly helpful the family rooms were not really spacious enough and although i requested a cot there really was not any room for one
Hotel ,downstairs fab.food great, staff really friendly . upstairs still to be refurbished, I was staying in room 20 and was awake all night ,due to a loud noise which sounded like a fan, was really dissapointing as it spoilt the next day due to lack of sleep. On leaving complained to receptionist, £10 was reducted from bill ( BIG DEAL)
we both enjoyed a lovely meal in the newly refurbished bistro, and has a lovely evening in the hotel lounge some of the rooms still require ungrading
Spa Bedroom was not made up. Bistro table not available for 15 minutes after booking time.
Clean, tidy, comfortable and in good condition Nothing
Very clean and well presented. Breakfast as you would like it. The owners are very friendly and will give advice if requested.
The proprietors of this b & b were lovely and very helpful people We were aware that the b & b had only one EnSuite room. However when booking we thought we had been allocated that room. Unfortunately on arrival we found that this was not the case. We would certainly only re- book this accommodation if the en suite was available
Excellent accommodation, very friendly host. Lovely food and will certainly book again when we need to be in that area.
great places to visit whilst my wife was on a two day course. Intresting and informative propriotor. I wish I had been told to book a table in the village restraunt, it was excellent when we went two days laterbut could not accomodate us when we arrived.
Very clean with comfortable beds and nice breakfast choice None
Prompt service clean room I was charged 6 ponds down and then charged the full price on top. I was also told they wouldnt take Visa even though it said that they did on Booking site
Very pleasant land lady and excellent breakfast. I had booked 7 months in advance, so phoned a few times and left messages as I wanted to make your we were still booked in (mother and 12 year old daughter). Eventually the owner called us the night before to confirm - they had been on holiday. But she said in future they wouldnotify their clients if they were going on holdiay again.
Warm welcome, good atmosphere. Very helpful.
A clean comfortable room, good breakfast and friendly hosts, thats all you really need, for in our case, a mid journey stop for the one night.
The rooms are nice and new and the pub scene on the ground floor is thriving. The food available was good and the staff were great. All round good hotel. This hotel has a band playing on Saturdays which makes it hard to sleep. The obvious answer to the problem is "go down and join in" but just in case you need to get up early in the morning, I would suggest staying elsewhere.
The corridor doors have hinges that squeak and with arrivals and departures at all hours, the noise from the same is not good. An oil can and five minutes would significantly reduce night time disturbance. Bathroom tiles beginning to look a little past their best with mould developing on the joints.
Comfortable bed. 24 hour check in. Free parking
quiet, comfortable, with good sized room.
Friendly staff no
Convient location close to motorway.Ideal overnight break of journey to Scotland
Very convenient location for breaking journey to Scotland
Welcoming attitude of staff and willingness to help
Room was clean, well equipped & comfortable Food was only available at service station. This was expensive and not very exciting
The bed was to high,as so the washbasin. the tv poor reception and small
Excellent service, friendly staff, excellent standard of hotel.
Staff were welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The Hotel is beautiful and excellent value for money.
Staff friendly, helpfull, views from the grounds very nice.
The atmosphere: relaxed. The staff: excellent. The food: gorgeous. The lighting: too subtle. The decor: old.
Staff were lovely and welcoming. Rooms were spacious. Breakfast wasn't very good. Poor quality ingredients badly cooked. The hotel could do with a facelift.
plesant and friendly
Staff all very helpful & smiling. Very nice to stay here for 4 nights. Thursday morning breakfast (12/07/07) no sign of staff! No coffee. No toast. The one & only complaint I could make.
Praceful setting, friendly staff.
arrived late evening for one night stop off on way to highlands, warm welcome on check in shown straight to room, first impressions of hotel reception, restaurant & bar were good, clean and tidy good service and good breakfast in the morning. the room we were given was in need of some much needed TLC, poor decor poor shower(no control over water temp) uncomfortable bed, let the stay down as every thing else was so much better than the room.
