We are a 10 minute walk from the Olde Bakehouse-a Bistro style restaurant and the Gordon Arms Pub -both provide good food. Dogs are allowed in the pub end of the Gordon Arms where they also serve food. There is a small supermarket, a post office, an ATM, and a pharmacy. The village lies 16 miles to the south of Edinburgh city centre-11miles to the by pass-no pedestrian crossings so this takes about 10-15 minutes.
