The place is wonderful, it new, comfortable and relaxing, with charming view to the Umbian hills (it beats Tuscany!) and a lovely old town 300 mts. from the door. Ideal for those who travels by car.
rooms, the beds, breakfast & staff is ok. If you go for relaxing & quite & peacefullness we would not recommend this hotel. Noise! During the day loud noise of construction work and in the weekend loud music party's next to your room. This is probably a good hotel for groups?!
Wonderful staff, wonderful restaurant, great location (maybe not very popular but Montone is beautiful) and great value for money.
Highly recommended, hotel and surroundings are beautiful
Very nice hotel, newly furnished, great shower, nice views and great swimming pool. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Service at the hotel was exceptional. Our room was very small with an extra bed in it which we did not book, but I think they were not bothered to remove it.
Very welcoming attentive staff, super meals some of the best we had in Umbria and quiet calm atmosphere in the place and nicely furnished much enjoyed A bigger outdoor area for relaxing in would have been nice
The Food Was top Class no it was Super
This hotel is incredible! Peaceful location, beautiful surroundings, perfect accommodations, outstanding food and staff assistance - all perfect. We will definitely return.
The friendliness and the hospitality were amazing, however the restaurant was closed they prepared us a wonderful meal.the locanda was completly renewed but with respect for their building traditions. On top of that they offered us the largest appartment we have ever had.
warm atmosphere, very nice staff, beautifull old building firstclass renoviert, definitely nothing
Excellent quality of dinner dishes and home-made food! Very authentic, friendly and helpful staff (the 2 brothers); cosy hotel with lots of historic character and spacious room (we were offered the suite for same price due to hotel not fully booked yet); beautifully located in the heart of the Marchigian hills (lots of nature, forests around); possibility of horse back riding nearby a plus.
The family, hospitality, the food, the atmosphere, the rooms. It was a great experience
We chose the hotel for its reputation for the great cuisine. When we arrived, the restaurant was closed for general public, but open for the hotel guests. As we arrived quite late, we were the only two people having the great dinner. Manuele did his best to cater for all of our needs during our short stay and made us feel very welcome. I have already recomended the place to some friends and family members and would recomend it to anybody who is on a gastronomic tour of Italy.
We would like a bath in the bathroom
We had 3 nights at this comfortable small (max 15 pers) hotel in a small town about 30 mintues drive outside Gubbio (you need a good map to find it!). We prebooked an evening meal on first night which was of good standard and very filling. If vegetarian do state this in advance. Breakfast was a good continential spread. There is no air con in the bedrooms - be warned! Not an issue when we stayed as it was cool. Like many Italian houses, the rooms stay cool due to small windows and shutters. Bar is well stocked but not somewhere to linger. Little else in the town.
Landscape, and owners are wonderfull. The house and breakfast are delicious! The bed was old, and if you move a finger will mwke noise....Was funny but imagine....
Spectacular and quiet place, very friendly staff, delicious dinner.
From the moment we arrived Sarah and Alessandro did everything to make our stay a wonderful one. From the very comfortable room, to the tourism literature and recommendations, from the fantastic food (if you are there on a weekend, take Sarah's pasta cooking class - great!) to the welcome into their daily life. This was everything we were looking for. If you want to just chill it is easy to do that also with hammocks, nooks in the sun and a pool. Fantastic place to base a trip through Tuscany or te even more spectacular Umbria. Very affordable was a nice bonus.
We liked everything about this hotel so very much that we felt really sad upon departure. Perfect location, delicious food. Sara and Alessandro are incredibly friendly owners and their staff are gracious. Clean and unpretentious rooms, calmness and crisp nature all around. As for the Tigro family of cats and Pedro the dog, they are a dream and they like italian cheese as much as we do!
The familiar atmosphere is great, it feels kind of that you are staying with good friends. The place is very unpretentious, but offers exactly the facilities to feel at home. Furthermore the view is great, it is easy to reach and it is definitely very good value for money.
Sara the owner is a lovely hostess making us feel right at home on her working farm. Faboulous food dreamed up every night right down stairs from our room. Good wine, adequate breakfast. Sara even offers relaxed, fun cooking classes! Learning to make fresh authentic pastas and sauces was the highlight of my stay second only the the enchanting views. Give the shower water a chance to heat up before you get in
Beautiful view. Friendly and helpful hostess. Delicious and convenient to have dinner cooked for you at Il Sarale. Good base for exploring other areas. Staying at an agrituristica was a pleasant balance to other hotel accomodation.
