Pros: Friendly welcome. Quiet beautiful location. Very spacious accommodation with lounge and access to kitchen facilities to make tea and coffee at any time. A very nice swimming pool with surrounding lounge area. Excellent breakfast available if wanting that option.
Pros: Everything was lovely, Olga is before we went to a very gracious hostess. Be prepared to cancel all your other plans because you will never want to leave.
Pros: Location, pool, very clean, loved the apartment, staff was very nice and replied to my numerous emails. Let me check in early and relax by the pool, obrigada!!
Cons: The beds in the twin room were very uncomfortable, you could feel the springs in the mattress. Also payment by cash was inconvenient-bank transfer or credit cards would be better
Pros: This is a new place built on a piece of land belonging to the old quinta. There are two complete houses made using some smart prefabrecated technology. The outside is like a big rectangular box, in the inside there is a huge bedroom, living room, bathroom with sauna and kitchen. The most outstanding feature is the glass made walls which bring in the outside view like a picture. Our host was nice, the pool is nice too. The nearest big town with supermarket and good restaurants is 10 minutes drive. The location has easy access to Penda-Geres national park.
Cons: The only problem we had was with the shower pressure which is more of a drizzle than shower. The price is higher than the average in the area but you get something very special.
Pros: a very nice and friendly welcome - good information about the surrounding areas. We had no breakfast included, but Olga send us every morning some bread and homemade cake to our house/appartment! the best view from a bed I've ever had: stunning view over the wineyards and hills and getting awake from the sunset every morning
Pros: The apartment is amazing and the host is very nice! We would like to come back.. & recommend it to anyone:)
Pros: Great view, wonderful authentic place in the countryside

Cons: The room was very small
Pros: Very clean friendly kitchen was open for snacks at night
Pros: The place is nice and clean. Great view from the terrace! Nice breakfast (great coffee and bread!) no vegetables or eggs in the breakfast but it’s nice and fresh. The bed is firm and comfortable (maybe a bit small for tall people). Super clean and lovely shower! Soajo and the area is beautiful!!
Cons: Check in wasn’t great, we had to look for someone to meet us and at last we found a very nice older lady that didn’t speak much English It felt like there is no one to turn to in any matter (for example we wanted extra pillows but no one in reception of any kind) If you plan on having dinner in Soajo check in advance what is open and go as soon as it opens because when we came there was only one restaurant open and served whatever is left from before. The food was good but limited choice.
Pros: The enjoyed meeting the owners and had a nice time chatting with them. The owner is a sister of our friend who lives in Canada and that is the main reason we stopped in Soajo on our way to Spain. We found Soajo to be very scenic and interesting
Cons: Hard bed
Pros: This was a very old dwelling very tastefully renovated. The facilities within were excellent. The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. We loved the breakfasts.
Pros: Perfect location, with parking at the site. The breakfast was large and delicious. The shower was a pleasant surprise, with several nozzles, though it might not work for a very overweight person. However my 6’2” husband had no problem.
Cons: Church bells ring next door from 7am to 8 pm. This was not a problem for us since we wanted to be up by then.

Pros: Loved everything about property! Good location, excellent layout, clean rooms. Helpful and polite staff.
Pros: Really nice hotel in a wonderful Arcos, children friendly, with nice swimming pool and lovely panorama on the city - as well restaurant was excellent
Pros: Offered a free upgrade when we queried the room being at the back of the hotel. Room was very big, separate living room, two balconies at the front of the hotel. Room was clean and big comfortable bed.
Cons: Spa was a disappointment - tired, dark and felt cold - we chose this hotel for the spa and did not use it. Hotel is very old fashioned and in need of an update. Breakfast was awful, we both became ill from we think the coffee machine milk - & they oddly charge for certain items even when breakfast was included? We would not recommend this hotel.
Cons: Food was poor
Pros: The location of the hotel is ideal, with a short stroll across the pedestrian bridge you are in Arcos de Valdevez. The rooms are clean, spacious and the bed very comfortable. We would recommend when visiting this little gem of a town in North Portugal!

Pros: The silence, the warmth of welcome given by the owner, the splendid view and the gastronomy gave us a feeling of heaveniss for a few days. Also his honost interest in our story, was right from the hart. And of course the care for our dog, with respect for the other guests.
Pros: Top quality overall!
Cons: Nothing to dislike!
Pros: This place is simply perfect. You must see it and stay there to understand ;-)
Pros: We very much enjoyed our stay. The house has been beautifully renovated and was spotlessly clean. We were brought fresh bread roles every day and regular treats. We had some lovely walks in the mountains and enjoyed wonderful food in the local restaurants. Highly recommended.
Pros: The kindness of the owner
Pros: Charming house, stunning scenery, lovely cheerful host. She baked us cake and brought fresh breakfast. Downside is host didn’t speak any English and the house isn’t well lit. Could use better light fixtures.
Located in Arcos de Valdevez, Ribeira Collection Hotel by Piamonte Hotels is in a rural location, within a 15-minute walk of Rio Vez Park and Chapel of Our Lady of Conception. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great staff very helpful and accommodating. Rooms were great I was a bit disappointed with the pool and spa.
Cons: It was perfect for what was required on the day
Pros: This is in the heart of the town, at some point you wander where GPS is leading you. It has undeground parking, tight, but very convenient. The lady of the reception was kind and effective. The room had a view towards river and town and bridge, very beautiful. It also had several windows, so full of light and many perspectives. Large bed with huge blanket, all good with the room. Within the price you get spa access, with robes included. The spa was a jacuzzi, hot sauna and relatively small pool. The quality of sleep was good, especially since the river is the only sound you hear, harmoniously. The AC worked well to heat the room. Free tea and kettle, very useful.
Cons: As spa services were a differentiator when choosing it, we were affected by the dry sauna not working. Slippers are not provided in the room, so we got down with robes and regular shoes, funny but not pleasant. Very weak WiFi. Restaurant was closed for dinner and breakfast started a bit later.
Pros: I loved the view from my room as well as the sound from the river - it takes you out of the modern world for a moment. The staff was very nice and welcoming and I even got a bottle of champagne because it was my birthday. The room was very clean and well decorated and had good amenities. Although I didn't use it, the hotel offers a spa an indoor pool - bring a cap and a swimming suit if you want to use it!
Cons: The hotel has a very distinct and strong smell, which reminds me of olives or olive oil - so strong it becomes too much. The restaurant is not functioning, so it's not possible to have room service, which is unfortunate. The mini fridge also doesn't have nothing on it.
Pros: Very welcoming reception, large bed in comfortable room overlooking the river. Parking easy to manage Breakfast well stocked.
Cons: Couldn’t find wifi details on card. Airconditioner not working. Ok for us off season mild weather anx window open all night. But I would imagine a problem in the heat . No restaurant at hotel and very poor choices in the town.
Pros: Bed, it was big and pretty comfortable.
Cons: WiFi was almost non existent on our bedroom. Breakfast could and should be better.

The nearest airport is Porto Airport, 78 km from the property.
Pros: Great view. Pool is nice
Cons: The 'eco' part seems to be due to the location, mostly. Butter at breakfast comes in individual packages, for instance. The bungalows are plywood covered in cork - nothing wrong with that - but they are too small to be convenient. There's room for a small table but since you have to move it out from inside to your mini porch if you want to sit outside, it's not much use for storing things on. There's an annoying green emergency light that can't be turned off. The light itself is all or nothing and very harsh. We turned on the TV with the sound of for some softer light. The view is great but comes with the price of the closest restaurant being half an hour's drive away. There is a pool fountain running all day long so you don't really appreciate the sound of silence. The place has its own snack-bar but it's expensive and doesn't offer a lot of choice. All and all its not bad but overpriced and the eco seems slapped on to attract the environmentally conscious.
Pros: Amazing view, Great host, comfy room. Highly recommended place to stay!
Pros: The staff was very helpful
Cons: There is no restaurant or supermarket close by!!! It is a uncomfortable way up so it would be great to have cooling possibilities for food!

Pros: Everything was great, but the bonus is the landscape around. The views are fantastic, it's absolutely quiet, perfect for relaxing and exploring the surroundings.
Pros: The staff was super friendly.
Cons: The extra bed was a foldable sofa, very uncomfortable, due to the fact that there were lots of children on that day.
Cons: Nothing. ......

Pros: Benevolent owners. The location is convenient. In walking distance the city center and the river, along which you can walk (or swim in it) both in the afternoon and in the evening. The breakfast coffee is delicious
Pros: The air
Cons: Pool very very dirty... Breakfeast ver very bad... Room full of mosquitos
Cons: did not have shampoo
Pros: Excellent location, super nice staff and charming heritage house. Super tasty and freshly baked bread at breakfast. Wi-fi is not available in the room, probably due to the fact that it is a stone building.

Pros: Nice simple family-run hotel. Dinner for 6 euros was exceptional value, and good home cooking to boot. Continental breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Bed was firm but I had an excellent night’s sleep. Close to shops an river and ‘historic centre’ (such as it is!). Bus from Porto airport stops right by hotel. A good choice for me, all round.
Cons: Some extra blankets in the cupboard would be good! But I used those off another bed in my room, so ok. Good heater in room, in any case, if you wanted to use it.
Pros: very well placed and cheap
Cons: Both the hotel and staff are stuck in time. Some major refurbishing is necessary.
Pros: Nice old couple.
Cons: Difficulties with the online payment. The owners are somewhat old and don't know how to work with the Booking that good.
Pros: People where very friendly and always ready to help. The rooms were clean.
Cons: The rooms weren't very comfortable and the breakfast didn't had many things to choose from.
Pros: The location is great if you want to be in town. I always like to sleep under fresh sheets and a blanket so didn't miss the duvet.
Cons: The bathroom needed to be modernized. Pillows are rock hard and i found it difficult to sleep on.
