Located in Cabrales, Albergue Cabrales is a 4-minute drive from Ruta'l Quesu y la Sidra and 5 minutes from Cueva el Cares. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lovely green and spacious location with nice traditional buildings but with modern comforts. Very generous and tasty tapas!
Cons: Not a problem a such, but beware that the road up to the property from the main road is very narrow in places. If you have a vehicle any bigger than a small car you might have to park on the main road and walk up.
Pros: Lovely friendly helpful staff made us feel welcome
Cons: The grassy outside sitting area was abit grubby and unkempt with bare patches of earth needed a good sprinkling of grass seeds Also not much parking we had to park on this local woman’s drive who was keen to help us out !
Pros: Stunning setting, surrounded by mountains, countryside and traditional buildings - it was lovely sitting outside or on the veranda, where we relaxed and had drinks from the bar and an evening meal. The buildings were beautiful, both outside and inside, with varnished bunk beds. The room was great value for money.
Cons: Although the room was great value for money, we were glad we were staying only two nights as it was very small (sleeping four in two bunk beds), and having only one small window made it quite stuffy and hot. We were glad that we could spend time in the excellent communal spaces instead and were out all day. The choice of evening meal was pretty limited - the tapas was very bad for cholesterol levels!! - so we didn't repeat it.
Pros: Good position in a beautiful nature. Very quiet area, relaxing.
Cons: Smell in the bathroom. Expensive for the very simple accomodation.
Pros: If you want to pay 150per night for a tiny room with no lighting, no power, no towels (paid for) then stay at this dump. We very politely asked for towels and told they would be brought the room , several hours later still no towels and lots of other guests in the same situation. No electricity or lighting in the room, when we complained again nothing was done. Complained at the property again but nothing, still trying get a refund.
Cons: For 150 euro a night A room with Electricity, lights and towels would have been nice.
Pros: There was oat milk and the staff was very nice.
Cons: We travel with a dog and there weren’t spaces allowed to eat with them. We had to eat outside and it was really cold.
Situated in Carreña de Cabrales, Hotel Rural Cabrales has a bar, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy mountain views. At the hotel, rooms include a balcony with a river view. Llanes is 34 km from Hotel Rural Cabrales, while Cangas de Onís is 28 km from the property. The nearest airport is Santander Airport, 103 km from the accommodation.
Pros: The location is perfect for visiting Picos from northern side. The lady who runs the bar and reception was very friendly. Room was clean. It is located by the river but seeing the interior we didn't even want to have coffee there and enjoy the terrace.
Cons: This could be a lovely place if someone decided to invest some money into it. It is very very very dated. Everything is old including the bed spreads. It is clean and tidy but for the same money we got a much much nicer room few kilometres further. It is a shame because this place has a history and definitely a potential.
Pros: Great small hotel in a beautiful town. Very friendly and helpful owner.
Pros: Very nice hotel, simple but everything you need is there. Clean and comfortable.
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful. The town is quaint and hotel in located right on its modest river.
Located in Cabrales, Arcea Hotel Mirador de Cabrales is in a rural location, within a 15-minute walk of Cares Trail and Cares Gorge. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Perfect location, beautiful surroundings, very friendly and helpful staff, they even gave us breakfast last day that we had to leave very early
Cons: Doors on the rooms are very loud when closing and walls very thin, so if you are light sleeper you will need earplugs otherwise you will be awake all night.
Pros: Excellent location - 2 minute walk from the funicular and about 5 minutes to the starting point of the Cares route walk. Good dinner menu (limited for vegetarians but there are options) and very reasonably priced. There is a small car park or you can park on the road.
Cons: The rooms are basic (beds aren’t the comfiest). Basic breakfast. Staff didn’t speak English - it would’ve been helpful to have some info located about the area etc. WiFi didn’t work in the rooms
Pros: Location in the Mountains at the begining of a lot of nice hiking routes. Nice typical breakfast. Good food for dinner.
Cons: Room was a bit cold a night
Pros: Beautiful setting
Cons: No drinking facilities in room tea coffee kettle Sorry were English
Pros: It was close to the start of the Cares Gorge Walk and had off-street parking, this was the main reason for our short visit to the area.
Pros: We booked the hotel so we could be near the start of the ruta del cares trekking route. And for that it was perfect. The room was very basic and clean. The manager was very friendly and the coffee at the breakfast was good.
Cons: The doors in this hotel are terrible, they are SO loud. Some neighbours couldn't close their doors and it was so loud. And all together you could hear everything, some people arrived late in the night and it was so loud, so the stay there wasn't peaceful. And it ruined the mood.
With a stay at Hotel Naranjo De Bulnes in Cabrales, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Cueva el Cares and Ruta'l Quesu y la Sidra. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The room was a good size, clean and comfortable
Cons: The room was very hot and noisy if the windows were open.
Pros: Staff at Naranjo de Bulnes were friendly throughout our stay and went out of their way to help us with our stay and with arranging day trips or providing advice. A really warm welcome. This is a mid sized country hotel and amenities are a bit basic but it was SO clean and really well located in a busy little town and these things really stood out. We will go back.
Pros: The location breathtaking. Staff friendly and helpful. The hotel really comfortable and clean. The town beautiful and really good food. The staff helped us a lot to decide where to go to do the best tourism.
Pros: Great location, only 10 minute drive to Cares Walk. Free car park 2 min walk away. Lovely staff and clean room. Fair English and they tried very hard to help us and we were 100% satisfied, no issues. Nice double sized shower and corner room with views. Right in the centre of the town.
Cons: No safe in the room but wouldn't expect it in a rural area.
Pros: Location, Staff and very clean.
Cons: The room was very hot even with the windows open. I recommend they atleast suply a fan for the rooms at this time of year
Pros: Very friendly staff, very clean, great location to go for a hiking tour
Cons: small bathroom
Pros: Localization, staff sympathy, hygiene
Cons: Lack off conditioned air and refrigerator in the bedroom
Pros: The room was spacious and luminous. Breakfast a little limited but excellent apples and very friendly staff.
Cons: I booked a triple room for 3 nights. When we got to the hotel I explained that we wanted a room for 3 people for the first night, for 2 people the second night and then 3 people again for the third. I was told no worries. I thought that the prices would be adjusted to reflect our needs especially as payment for the room had not gone through yet. We ended up paying for 3 people for 3 nights and told to take it up with booking .com.......not happy.......
Pros: Staff agreed to receive a package. They were the first out of four hotels that we wrote to. Had an easy place to put our bicycle. Were patient and helpful with our questions. Staff upgraded our room without us asking - “just because”. Our room had a fantastic view!
Cons: Our room had plumbing problems: water came up shower drain sometimes, and the hot water availability was variable.
Located in Cabrales, Hotel Principado de Europa is in the mountains, a 3-minute drive from Cueva el Cares and 8 minutes from Ruta'l Quesu y la Sidra. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Everything was perfect
Pros: Breakfast included with a good diversified offer.
Cons: Very, very old furniture and no TV. The room was on the attic with a low ceiling making the usable area very reduced. No sound isolation whatsoever.
Pros: Excellent location for the Picos de Europa National Park.
Cons: Cupboard was dirty, it had a bread roll inside.
Pros: Breakfast was good, plenty of choice, good coffee. The tapas bar opening at 7.30 in Poo de Cabrales. Nice views from balcony room.
Cons: This hotel is not in or near Arenas de Cabrales. It is about 2+ kilometers away near a village called Poo de Cabrales on the other side of the main road. The road is very near to the front of the building. The communal stairs were not cleaned the 3 days we were there. The pool tiles were dirty (we have a pool). The area around it needed a good sweep. The path to it was very uneven. No pool towels provided. Soul less bar. Broken shower holder. Both bedside lights not working, broken switches. Noisy room at front from the road. Smoking seemed to be allowed on the balconies which drifted into our room when windows open.
Pros: A great breakfast! And super nice and supportive staff!
Cons: The room was a bit small :-/
Pros: We have a lot of food allergies in the family and that makes travelling sometimes challenging. This hotel had a good gluten-free breakfast available. In addition, staff was very nice and helpful.
Cons: Room was expensive for what it is. Hotel is completely outdated. It needs a renovation urgently.

At Poncebos, enjoy a satisfying meal at the restaurant. Quench your thirst with your favorite drink at the bar/lounge.
Business, Other Amenities
Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Great location for hiking
Pros: Great location and good views. Decent dinner. Don’t expect quick check in and check out service but they got me what I needed, a bed and shower before my hike to Bulnes and Cares Gorge
Cons: Bathroom smelled bad. Bed wasn’t super clean, found a long hair under top sheet. Wouldn’t stay here again, I’d stay 10 mins further away and get somewhere nice for more money.
Pros: Of course number one is location, surrounded by mountains, next to a river, near superb hiking. It “feels” like a lodge in the mountains; it has the right spirit.
Cons: Shower floor very slippery.
Pros: Can’t get any closer to mountains and at such a great price!
Cons: Breakfast was included in the price. I wish the breakfast is available earlier hour so that the visitors who rely on public transport could go for the hike sooner. This is because the bus service from the nearby town Arenas is very limited. Early breakfast would increase the chance of visitors getting the public transportation out of the area after their visit.
Pros: I prefer places that aren't on the main route and loved the place. If you are looking for peace and quiet plus being close to the trails, you'll be very happy. Breakfasts are tiny, but then you won't be upset skipping them to get out early. Knowing a tiny bit of Spanish helps a lot, don't expect the hosts to understand English.
Pros: The location is perfect for starting your trip into the picos de europa park. The owner was extremely nice and helpful. They let us leave one of our bags there for 5 days while we hiked. Also, the restaurant is delicious!
With a stay at Picos de Europa in Cabrales, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Cueva el Cares and Ruta'l Quesu y la Sidra. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, laundry facilities, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location for the walks and the rooms were nice.
Cons: We could hear some road traffic in the mornings

Pros: Ideal location
Cons: Breakfast choice was modest
Pros: Breakfast had a good variety of choices. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Cons: Wifi was very slow.
Pros: Gracious helpful staff gave great suggestions for sights and hiking. Room was large and comfortable. Super clean and quiet.
Cons: Breakfast is a good value, but I would gladly pay more for better quality. Also would like to have coffee before 8am.
Pros: Very clean and excellent location
Cons: Spotlessly clean and reasonably priced
Pros: Good location and friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast was average and rooms would benefit from air conditioning.
With a stay at Hotel Villa de Cabrales in Cabrales, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Cueva el Cares and Ruta'l Quesu y la Sidra. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.

Pros: Good breakfast, nice staff, great location.
Cons: Rooms are a bit noisy. You can hear all your neighbours.
Pros: Helpful staff, rooms clean, rather new, and comfortable, good for the hotel category. Good location. Building facade and seating area nicely decorated in the style of the region, stone, and wooden furniture
Pros: Great location, nice building. Staff were friendly.
Cons: Room a little small. Breakfast limited.
Pros: Clean and modern-in the centre. Helpful and friendly staff.
Pros: Location for walking in Picos National Park, really nice room and building.
Pros: excellent staff, parking and internet
Cons: cold in our room, poor lighting for reading.
Located in Cabrales, Hotel Los Ángeles is a 1-minute drive from Cueva el Cares and 7 minutes from Cares Trail. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Spacious and very clean room .Owner was really lovely ,helpful and kind .organised early check in and also taxi for us to go to Poncebo to do Cares Gorge. Also very accommodating ,let us had breakfast at 8am instead of 8.30 as we had to catch an early bus. Also gave us suggestions about places we could vist .
Pros: Smooth and efficient check-in. Amenities and room as described on web site. Walk into an already heated room with a great shower, very central and close to restaurants which is what we were looking for after 3 hours driving and 7 hours hiking! Great breakfast and very helpful people. We had a problem with our mobile phone and they assisted in getting in touch with operator to get it fixed. It would have been very challenging to continue the trip without our mobile, due to the fact that we needed to access maps etc Thank you so much!
Cons: The heating in the room was a bit excessive and we could not figure out how to switch it off. The bed was a bit on the tighter side not the double bed size we are used to, but anyway, a bit cosier!
Pros: Breakfast was amazing! With typical things from Asturias and the rooms were very cosy!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
Pros: The breakfast, view, room and tub was exelent
Pros: The bedroom was clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and the location was perfect.
Cons: The breakfast was average.
Pros: Comfortable room with nice view of Picos de Europa. I think we were the only guests! Delicious breakfast laid out for us in the morning.
Pros: The lady that owned the hotel was very helpful and went out of her way to make it a good stay. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was good, not huge choices but fresh and plenty.
Cons: The main thing that would have made it better for us was to have a kettle in the room with basic tea and coffee items.
Pros: Good location, very nice building, beautiful view on the mountains from the window, very good breakfast included, stuff speaks English, very warm cozy room with bath
Cons: Not very clear at first how to get keys for the room, the hotel was closed and no people inside, but there was a phone number left on the entrance door so thats fine
Pros: The staff was fantastic, the breakfast was incredibly tasty (local and organic produce) and the wifi was decent.
Cons: It was a bit hot in the room and we could not change it as it was floor heating. Easy to solve with an open window though!

Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The guest house has family rooms. The nearest airport is Santander Airport, 100 km from the accommodation.
Pros: With little accomodation options in the area this place ticks all the boxes for your stay in the Picos. Close to walking trails, siderias, supermarkets etc this is a great base for your adventures into the mountains. Comfy and clean rooms with heating (essential) and having a kitchen was great for preparing our own meals.
Cons: The kitchen is well provisioned but because of the wet weather all of the salt, pepper, flour etc isn’t useable. Be careful with the showers as ours leaked onto the bathroom floor.
Pros: The value for money of this place was really good, at least on the dates we went. Warm water and comfortable beds, the heater was on when we arrived. Probably one of the closest places to stay next to "la ruta del cares."
Cons: One thing we didn't notice when booking was that the kitchen is on the outside and it was cold in winter, seeing now the photos you can clearly see it's outside but on a quick look you might not realise it.
Pros: Pleasant proprietor, keeps Place immaculate. Good communal patio and cooking area. Nice to meet people, and self cater.
Cons: Room small, but fine for our neeeds.

Pros: An easy walk into town. Clean and friendly staff. They didn’t speak much English but were helpful with everything we needed.
Cons: The bed was firm but ok
Pros: Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nice ambience and beautiful setting.
Cons: The coffee.
Pros: great location up the hill just a 5 min walk from town with good access to the Los Picos De Europa national park
Cons: the manger could get a bit surly, their internet only works in the outside patio. no internet in the rooms and the credit card link didnt work
Cons: Bery bad Wifi and mobile phone wasn't connecting either.
Pros: The place has a stunning backdrop and the stay had no inconveniences. The rooms are also very generously sized for the price
Cons: The shower hose holder was broken the first day, however it was fixed the next day without me needing to even tell them.
Pros: The owners are lovely and helpful. Despite the language barrier we used gestures and google translate. The onsite bar is great bang for buck. The whole place is spotlessly clean and tidy. The location is a short 5-10 minute stroll from town, the views are wonderful, and the experience of staying in a mill built over a river was fantastic.
Cons: Rooms on the small side and bathroom tiny, but we could overlook this based on the positives. Breakfast was basic and consisted of coffee and toast but at 3 euros pp, represents a good budget option.
Pros: great location close to town, freindly staff, they did a bbq for us one night, made very welcome, nice scenic location, good parking for 6 goldwings, cheap cold beer
Cons: some rooms need up-dating, better breakfast toast was like a brick
Pros: Small but quirky hotel with a nice cosy character right on the edge of the beautiful Picos e Europa. Our room was small but comfortable. The shower was great and we had a room with a little river that bubbled past our window. Lovely to sit outside the bar/reception/breakfast room looking up at the mountains whilst enjoying an evening beer or a morning coffee. Quiet location and no traffic noise. Staff were always pottering around the place and on available to serve when we needed them. Enjoyed our one night stay.
Cons: Just outside of town (500m) and an uphill walk to return from town... very minor inonvenience really.
Pros: Very helpful and friendly hosts and a basic and proper room, value for money!

Pros: One of the best stays i had. Really good breakfast with fresh fruit and yogurts. Confortable rooms with a huge bathroom. The location is super quiet. Really good.
Pros: Great location, very friendly and helpful staff
Pros: Dinner at the onsite restaurant was the best meal we had in town- hands down! Do not miss it! The room was big, super nice and very comfortable. The best hotel we stayed in on our trip of 5 hotels. I highly recommend staying here.
Pros: EVERYTHING was amazing. Great staff, picturesque views, nice clean rooms. GREAT attitude. If you have a chance, always take dinners: the food is delicious, portions are huge and you will never get a plain dull hotel dinner - every dish will have a surprising take.
Pros: Great customer service, especially from Tyrone. Lovely food, with a menu that changed daily and a breakfast that set you up perfectly for the day. Ideal location for visiting the Picos and surrounding towns.
Pros: Comfortable, clean, friendly, big rooms, fully equipped. Wonderful place to go hiking and enjoy the outdoors. Full recommendation!
Pros: Restaurant was just great!! ! Tyron was an excellent waiter and shared good stories and info of the area.
Located in Cabrales, Hotel Torrecerredo is a 2-minute drive from Cueva el Cares and 8 minutes from Cares Trail. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful rustic charm with great food and friendly staff
Pros: The location was fantastic
Pros: Location, room quality, food, staff all lovely.
Cons: I can not think of anything bad.
Pros: This hotel is in a stunning setting in the Picos Mountains. It is rated as one star but I really don't understand this. I've stayed in far worse 3 star hotels. The food is excellent in the evenings and proper breakfast. Jim, originally from UK was a great host. Thanks.
Cons: The mattresses could have been more plush but other than that, nothing.
Pros: Very helpful staff on local walks and things to do. Great little bar and amazing views.
Cons: Admin was a little disorganised
Pros: The shower is the best shower I have ever had. The views are spectacular and the Brazilian lady that was working was really friendly. Our room was modern and very comfortable. Breakfast was also good.
Cons: The communal areas need a bit of an upgrade I.e carpets etc. It is not the easiest to find especially if you are entering the town from the west. The signpost is only visible from the opposite direction.
Pros: The staff are amazing, very friendly, helpful, and responsive! Dinner is not offered on Wednesday evenings so that the staff may have a night off and our plans prohibited us the other evening we stayed. I’m willing to bet it was phenomenal based on our breakfast experiences though! Eat the Christmas melon at breakfast, so delicious! Room was comfortable and quiet. The staff washed our laundry upon our inquiry about laundromat services. We paid 5 euro per load in cash and simply took the laundry to them via a bag they provided and then picked it up the next morning. This was a lifesaver for us as we had wet clothes from a hike we did a few days prior to our arrival. No dryer; however they have a drying room to hang your laundry in and most of our pieces were completely dried next morning. Great views and peaceful. If the weather is pleasant it’s an enjoyable walk to town, if weather is bad I recommend driving down the hill and finding a spot to park close to your destination. If you’re plan is to hike the carres gorge trail, this location is ultra convenient. Highly recommend these accommodations!
Pros: The staff was very frindly, they helped us with everything we needed. The breakfast Is very good, they even make you eggs how ever you like it.
