The location of this hotel is lovely, staff made you feel very welcome
Very nice hotel. Good value for the money Lovely little town nearby. Breakfast Buffet a bit weak. It's a bit difficult to find, but worth the trouble. Don't trust your GPS.
Plenty of on-site parking, which we required. Hotel only a short walk from the beachfront. Hotel has an elevator. There was a hairdryer in bathroom. No air-conditioning or 'fridge. Restaurant bill could not be charged to our room account, and we did not enjoy our dinner. The bed was uncomfortable.
The restaurant is good, staff is very helpful and friendly There was some noise at night which didnt let us sleep well. The Breakfast is not to reccomend.
Nothing The pictures of the wooden cabins on the website look great, but we stayed in the main building, which looks, feels and smells like a hospital. The rooms are old and bed linnen is worn out. Also the town has nothing to offer. No value for money at all!
Wood cabin room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast average.
Hotel has been renovated to a very high standard and has an excellent restaurant - we had a very enjoyable dinner there. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
Beautiful hotel with fabulous decor. The bedroom, was large, luxurious and clean. Polite and helpfull staff. The breakfast and dinner were extremely good and the waitress very helpful. Stunning views from the hotel. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. Beautiful coastal views a short drive away.
A lovely peaceful clean enviroment and excelletn food. Hotel excellent but in very quiet area and if staying for longer periods may fancy a change of resturant or bar.....
We liked everything, specially the food at the restaurant.
Very friendly staff, beautiful hotel, and excellent food. Also very easy to find and only a short drive from the airport.
The junior suite was beautifully furnished and decorated, quiet, and extremely comfortable for a small family. Great value for money. The quality of food and standard of service in the restaurant was also very good and childrens meals were available. Due to the hotel's location in a small village, there were few dining alternatives, requiring us to eat in the very nice but rather expensive hotel restaurant, or drive to a nearby village.
The spa was very relaxing after a long drive around the Picos de Europa and a really lovely hotel It would have been excellent if they had provided a swimming pool as well. I would have preferred a pool to the spa. No sign of anyone to help with our luggage either arriving or departing which was not a problem for us but I would have expected a bell boy role in a hotel of this excellent quality
It was a grand place to stay. Pleasant and quiet surroundings. It was elegant and beautifully decorated.
Hotel was in great place, very clean, excellent breakfast. Very kind for going with your family or in a romantic trip
The quiet and tranquilty. Charming and helpful staff. Good breakfast . Excellent spa facility. Good views Breakfast room not well signed. It would have been helpful to havea note in the room explaining that one could go to spa in dressing robe and how to get there
Excellent location, very good for travelling to Gijon, Oviedo and other destinations in Asturias Not a single member of staff spoke any English. This is unacceptable for a four-star rated hotel.
cleanliness, spaciousness and quietness of the room. Excellent meals. Carparking. none
Excellent position of hotel. The double bed we got was not very big (but then we moved to another room, with twin beds).
Every thing very Good..very happy
The room was perfect and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and courteous. And the free breakfast time was flexible so you don't have to worry about not waking up in time, very convenient!
The view from my room im the Hotel The Location of the Garaga is too far from the Hotel, but not really very important
The main reason for choosing this hotel was its location. It was situated almost exactly halfway on a long journey. However, I was very pleased with my stay and with the proprietor who was very helpful to a travellor who spoke very little Spanish. Directions were difficult to follow and signage could be improved.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was great. Rooms were big. Breakfast could be more varied.
Excelente trato del personal, muy amable y atento. Un edificio muy bonito y tranquilo, y unas zonas comunes (salones) preciosas. Si tuviera que poner una pega diría que es un poco complicado dar con el hotel, quizás faltaría alguna señalización.
Attractive rustic decor and quiet location. Difficult to find (unhelpful directions). Restaurant evening menu only had about 9 expensive items, so forced to eat in village. Poor breakfast: no milk for cereals, little choice poorl staffed. Poor value for money.
Very friendly hotel. Interesting rooms and the restaurant was very fairly priced if you did not want to hunt down an external one. Hotel easy to find
Beautifull place , original decor and great comfort . Peacefull location . Signage to find Hotel .
Wonderful cosy place in Asturias countryside. Good food, pretty rooms and helpful staff. Recommended!
Hotel is very beautiful it is not easy to find
Spacious room, friendly staff, interesting buildings, good food Nothing springs to mind
Friendly,helpful and professional staff.
Proximity to seafront. Very limited premises. Reception in a separate building across square. Inappropriate use of basement for breakfast room. Inefficient noisy mobile air conditioning units, which also required open bedroom window! Ground floor room not fit for purpose mainly due to lack of space even for 1 (but supposedly could have accommodated 2 people), very little natural light and extra heat, apparently coming from boiler room below. Astoundingly, this was same price as 2nd floor double room overlooking square and hotel not prepared to consider discount.
We had the most relaxing stay at Hotel Monte Somao. The country setting was lovely, our room looked out onto a field with a mare and her foal, with the Atlantic ocean in the background. The room was so clean and beautifully presented, we thought it was a brand new hotel. But the owners, a most welcoming husband and wife, said it was two years old. The breakfast spread was as good as we've had in Europe, including fresh fruit and peaches, sweet pastries and other delights. The hotel was a little hard to find, up some very windy streets, but the hillside village of Samoa is a friendly one. We started to get to know some of the locals after just one night. The restaurant/gallery across the road was very good eating and a great meeting place.
Good value, easy access to airport, kitchenette stocked with essential dishes and pans, great place for a family to stay, close to the beach, parking was convenient Check-in was at a different location, it was a bit chilly, kitchen linens/dishsoap aren't provided
