The location was convenient for day trips to Glendalough monastery ruins, Kilkenny castle, Waterford, Rock of Cashel, and a variety of other spots. The host gave lots of great suggestions too, including maps and routes. She even made my partner a cake when she found out it was his birthday!

Pros: The hosts and the accommodations were lovely and much appreciated. They gave us a wonderful gastro pub recommendation, Merry's in Dungarvan - best chicken Caesar salad ever. The drive on the country road was so pretty.

Pros: A beautiful spotlessly clean house and room. Location was very quiet and in a gorgeous part of the Copper Coast of Southern Ireland. Stunning cliffs and deserted beaches steeped in the history of copper mining in the area. The hosts were truly lovely, both friendly and efficient, with Padraig even showing us his pride & joy classic cars. A superb cooked breakfast really put the seal on a perfect short stay. Would we return? You bet!
Cons: The only slight downer (no fault of the B&B!) was that the nearest pub/restaurant is 5 miles away, so no chance of a few pints to end the day.

Pros: The food was very good and wholesome and the portions very generous.
Cons: They advertised an extra large bed which was actually 2 single beds put together and there was a very uncomfortable divide in the middle. Pros: What a lovely place. We received a warm welcome on arrival with tea and homemade cake. Our room was spacious, comfortable with an equally large bathroom. The 1850s house was furnished tastefully throughout, the conservatory overlooking the lawned area used for breakfast was light and airy from which you could watch the horses and numerous rabbits running around. The choice at breakfast was wonderful, all freshly prepared by Susan. Definitely worth staying here if visiting Waterford.
Cons: Leaving!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really felt like honoured house guests of the lovely family at Newrath House who provided a very warm welcome and wonderful hospitality throughout our stay. The period rooms are spacious and the abundance of fluffy towels on a heated towel rack in the bathroom is a nice touch. The location is excellent - just a few short minutes into the city centre of Waterford but set in its own grounds with horses, sheep and numerous rabbits gambolling around. The delicious and substantial breakfast will set you up for the day.

Pros: Superb location, a few minutes drive (20/25minute walk) from the centre of Waterford. Pros: This property is so beautiful and unique. We spent a lot of time just taking pictures of the buildings, the views, and the landscaping. Its was so quiet and peaceful. The rooms were large, well decorated, and had excellent bathrooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Coach House was a little outside of the city but easily accessible by car. The owner was really great, staying up and allowing us to check in past the time we had requested. He was very helpful with his initial email about where to eat in Waterford (across the street from the Waterford store, the “bar” food was the best we’ve had in all Ireland!). The view from our room was terrific, second floor, last room on the right. We had asked for a room with two beds and actually got the room with a double and single bed, and wasn’t charged any additional money. Book early though as we did because he only rents 3 rooms each day. Wish we could’ve stayed longer than one night as the hospitality and amenities were really great. I’m recommending his rooms to anyone staying in the Waterford area, whether for one or more days. The Coach House grounds and the hillside views are terrific!

Pros: Lodges were much better roomier cleaner better equipped than expected
Cons: Small issue workingbthe tv and late check in
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The island itself is the real treasure here. Since we stayed midweek, there were fewer guests, basically leaving the island alone for us to explore. There is a nice golf course, a driving range, and tennis courts. We also took a falconry class on the island (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!). There is also a beautiful nature trail the loops around the perimeter of the island, which is about 4 miles long. On this trail you can see all sorts of flora and fauna (deer, badgers, interesting plants), a lighthouse, most of the golf course, and some of the suburbs of Waterford. We stayed in the Suir Suite, maybe the nicest room in the entire property. The views from the room were very nice, and the suite's rooms were large, the furniture was comfortable, and the decor really matched with the whole 'castle' feeling. There was even a sitting room, perfect for reading and drinking coffee. The breakfast in the morning was very good, and included a small continental buffet, as well as the option to order meals from a small menu. The bar made fine cocktails, and the 3 course dinner was fantastic. Service and staff were top notch and very friendly. The ferry ride is very short (1-2 minutes BUT it only runs every 15 minutes).
Cons: There is no pool at the property, nor is there a spa. The ferry to the island only runs every 15 minutes, which means if you miss it, you have to wait. It also takes a while for cabs to pick up here. There is no AC in the rooms, and it can get hot.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property. Staff was very helpful.
Cons: The lodge could use a little upkeep and renovation but the castle property was beautiful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole atmosphere and service were excellent
Cons: Shower was over a freestanding bath that was very deep so hard to climb in and out.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was great. Size of the accommodation was perfect. Bring in the castle ground was pretty amazing.
Cons: It was basically clean however, things like drapes in kitchen and bedroom had large stains on then. Floors did not seem clean.

Pros: Blissful location by the River, with a serene view. Terrific breakfast, and lovely staff. We were offered hot drinks on our arrival which were brought to the room.
Cons: One one occasion my Mother and I took dinner at the hotel and that was very under par except for the desserts! Scrumptious puddings.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast had good choice of cereals, hot food and drinks. Staff cheerful and helpful.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good, but from looking at the website pictures of breakfast, perhaps my expectations were set too high. Staff were attentive and pleasant.
Cons: Once again expectations were set high by the bedroom pictures from the hotel Website. The use of wide angle lenses by Estate Agents and Hotels contribute to this problem today. I was tempted to check the measurements of the bedroom to see was it in line with the room description of a Superior King size room. But the bathroom illustrated the point more, in that it felt tiny in comparison to the photos on the website. It just left me disappointed especially as I felt I was paying a lot of money for two nights Bed and Breakfast.
6.8 Good
Pros: Leisure centre and staff.
Cons: Hotel staff not very friendly and did not get the room I paid for .

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comeragh View Lodge honestly felt like our home away from home. Really nice and relaxing after a day cycling on the Waterford Greeway. The house is very spacious with ample facilities. A good surprise was a nice games room with budda bags and a very decent selection of DVDs and board games to complete off a day of adventures. David and Helen are excellent hosts and provided lovely home made scones in the morning. A nice touch was some fresh towels and bottled watter in the bedroom. It's the small things that make a difference. I'd be very happy to receommend the Comeragh View Lodge to anyone I know whom will be staying around Waterford / the Greenway in future.
