10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment that we pulled into the drive, I knew I’d made the right decision in picking this place. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. It was obvious that they took pride in their property and went to every length to keep it up. Dennis was out every day we were there mowing and making sure everything was ship shape. He does a great job. There was even a little trail mowed in the meadow nearby that we used to go for a run. It was teeming with wildlife morning, noon and night. It was perfect. The house was rich in history, which we absolutely loved. We got a little history lesson about the property the first morning we were there. It was great to know a little more about the house and family and it’s story during the battle! Mrs. Eileen was so knowledgeable and kind, she answered every question we had. Breakfast was delicious as well. Jason does an awesome job. Everything was so fresh and meticulously prepared. He also comes with a quick wit and sense of humor, he had us laughing all through breakfast. All in all this place was incredible for us. Close enough to town to feel not too far away but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to still feel peaceful and tranquil. The house is lovely, the innkeepers are welcoming, the breakfast was great. There’s not much more we could ask for.
Cons: Can’t think of a single thing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a historical B&B in the heart of downtown Gettysburg, which is a very happening area. It's very close to a lot of restaurants and shopping! All of the staff were very personable and friendly!
Cons: Nothing. It's all good!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the location in town so you can walk around and shop at antique stores or eat out. Parking provided by the hotel was extremely close and helpful since I have a nice car. It's very close to the battlefield and other museums/monuments. The room was much larger and nicer than I expected. We stayed in Eisenhower which was very nice and secluded from other rooms/guests. It included a fridge, microwave, and Keurig machine. The room also has a nice bathroom equipped with the usual hand soap bar, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryer.
Cons: The only down side is the Eisenhower room is on the third floor so if you have a lot of luggage or hate stairs this might be annoying, but we didn't mind. Since the hotel is on a main roadway the street noise can be loud for some people, but I didn't have any trouble sleeping. They do provide ear plugs if you are a very light sleeper. Overall these things were not a problem for my friend and I. Also there are other rooms so you can probably request a room away from the front street noise, or on a lower level if stairs are an issue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was very nice, breakfasts were wonderful, and the staff is fantastic. We've stayed here before and we'll be back again. Love the Brafferton.
Cons: A small refrigerator would be a welcome addition.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old Inn, well furnished to suit the age of the property. Owners were extremely helpful and informative. Bed was comfortable and we had a small lounge which was cute. Breakfast was delicious with home made muffins, fresh fruit and then a main. Tea, coffee and homemade cookies were available too.
Cons: The stairs to the part of the property we were in but then it is very old.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing just perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, friendly staff
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was always super as well as 'different' but done very well. Service was organized and was something to look forward to to get up in the morning.

Pros: The breakfasts were great; cookies in the evening were nice; breakfast staff was nice and interacted with the customers.

Pros: staff was excellent room was vary clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything about our stay; particularly the $1 cost of a can of soda pop from the in-house vending machines. So many other hotels and motel just rip you off with a charge of $2 or more. A little thing to be sure but one that says you keep the customer in mind in both big and small ways.
Cons: Nothing. I liked it all.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The pool water was too cold!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Sparkling clean! Comfortable room and bed! Good amenities! Great coffee and Cookies! It’s the little things that count!
Cons: Initial contact @ 1:00. Just checking to see if room was ready yet, even though check In is @ 3:00. Receptionist was very pleasant and helpful! Checked computer and verified that I had reserved TWO ROOMS! Returned after 4:00 pm and different receptionist told me I only have one room reserved! I attempted to show her my confirmation email but she was not interested in that! Then she tells me I Happen to be LUCKY that she has an Extra room available that she can give us! REALLY? Noisy Trash removal @ 6:15. I’m an early riser so it didn’t disturb me but some members of my group don’t get up that early! Minor thing! We will return in the future as these minor things don’t negate the fact that the overall experience was Outstanding!!! Thanks to all of those that work behind the scenes!

Pros: the breakfast was excellent. staff was great.
Cons: the pool could have been warmer :)

Pros: Civil War building. Reminded me more of a bed and breakfast with great hospitality and homemade muffins, breads and cookies in your room for breakfast the next day. Private bath, kitchenette, tv room and separate bedroom. Very nice.
Cons: It was a little warm for my liking, but was 100+ outside. Would have been better if there was a ceiling fan.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, tons of character
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great walk to everything downtown
Cons: No complaints
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Inn was very clean, and the location couldn't be better. The beds were comfortable, and the A/C unit worked almost too well. We stayed in the 3 bedroom townhouse, the kitchen was stocked with dishes and coffee. The owners left lots of information out for us about the area, and were very helpful and let us check in a half hour early. The bathroom was small, but clean, and since this house is very old (150 years) we didn't hold that against them. There was plenty of hot water for all of us to take showers. Overall a highly recommended experience.
Cons: The stairs were a little steep, but even my two oldest sisters, who are in their 70's, were able to negotiate them, so that is just a tiny thing. And it looked like they were original to the house, so just putting this out there if you have someone in your party that cannot use stairs (the bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was great and a nice clean room
Cons: Overall very good. Should have regular soap instead of two small body wash bottles. Had to buy our own soap.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lots of room and we liked the historic feel. And thank you for the cot!
Cons: The bulbs in the bathroom made it very warm in there. Also the noise from the bikers but we know you can’t fix that.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The suite was awesome. Location was perfect
Cons: The homeless people camped out outside the front windows.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Private oasis right in the middle of town. You have the entire floor to yourself. Old home so noise travels easier, but well worth it. Large, comfy furniture. The owners greet you and then you leave you pretty much on your own to come and go. They also own a popular restaurant/bar in town and provide a 20% discount. Super accommodating!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We liked the location on the square of the town and the spacious room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Pleasantly surprised at the kitchen! Bed was cozy and comfortable. Slept great after long day at reeanactment festivities. Gus was very helpful in check-in and parking instruction. Central location on Gettysburg square
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great historic location.
Cons: Noise in the early morning from garbage truck right behind the building. Went on for a very long time.

Pros: The variety served at breakfast was outstanding! I loved the location...right in the middle of my favorite area of Gettysburg (Baltimore Street and Steinwehr Avenue)! The staff I encountered were all, without exception, friendly and courteous. I also liked that it has a pool.
Cons: The pillows were not the comfiest. I SO wished I had taken my own, but I was running late when I left home and I forgot them. I kind of wished that the bathroom had a venting fan so that the mirrors didn't fog up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect. Right next to Jenny Wade House, same parking lot as the tour bus place, and walking distance to most of the shops. Clean rooms, staff was nice and personable, breakfast was great!
Cons: It was an awesome place right in town! We were excited when we saw the 1863. The price we paid, we were kind of expecting a lower standard type place, but it was excellent! We will return.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the perfect location for all our activities involving Gettysburg. The hotel was quite and comfortable. Breakfast was a wonderful treat each morning, starting our day off right. The facility was very clean and parking was easy for a handicap person. We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.
Cons: Cleaning staff does their work well but, need to be managed by a supervisor. They do not follow up once they pass a apartment. They expect the tenant to go to the front desk to tell them when they left for cleaning. This needs to be rethought out.

Cons: Nothing you could control... tent caterpillars in the black walnut tree outside of our balcony.

Pros: Well sited within walking distance to downtown or the battlefield. Many restaurants and bars within walking distance. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again.
Cons: The included breakfast in the ‘breakfast cottage’ is a bit cramped when full of guests. The prepared egg patties were horrible, and some had the consistency of cardboard. Better to walk up the street to Friendly’s for breakfast. My only gripe about my stay.

Pros: I was there for a wedding. I would have given 5 stars, but the staff at the restaurant the next morning at brunch was rude on two occasions.
Cons: Brunch staff wasn't the most friendly.
4.2 Okay
Cons: Staff was rude and unaccommodating during check-in and check-out. At one point, an older receptionist (redhaired) made an underhanded comment about 'those orientals' when referring to another group of guests.
