A stay at Hostal Alba Taruta places you in the heart of Guadalupe, steps from Arco de Sevilla and Monastery of Santa Maria de Guadalupe. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: Friendly welcome despite language barrier. Large clean room. Decor a little dated but well appointed and spotlessly clean. Complimentary half bottle of wine and delicious chocolates. Great bathroom with lovely toiletries and big soft towels! A short walk to the main square and monastery. All in all a great value hotel.
Pros: Perfect location right next to the main square. The room was exceptionally comfortable and very thoughtfully equipped.
Pros: Centrally located in the city of Guadalupe. Very sweet & gracious hosts that helped us with recommendations for dining, directions for driving & navigating the teeny, tiny streets with a rental car & even carried our luggage up & down from the 2nd floor. I am usually miserable after a night away from my own bed, but the bed was awesome! Loved everything about this property!
Pros: Location /staff /value
Pros: Very convenient location & simple and clean room. Welcome drink and chocolates which was a lovely touch. Our room had a little balcony looking out across the Village & hills which was lovely. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: Very thin walls so you hear noise from other rooms. It's fine for a one night stay.
Pros: Great view from the room. And the hostal is practically right next to the main square. Parking is OK if you don't mind a 15 minute walk. Good a/c.
Cons: Room was quite small.
Pros: The location of the hostel in the center of Guadalupe. Very friendly staff. As a welkome present a little bottle of wine and chocolate.
Cons: Parking outside the center.
Pros: Very good value. Central position. Plentiful toilet freebies plus a quarter bottle of wine per guest. Good standard of linen, towels, etc.
Cons: No smoking rooms listed as available and requested. However, the room smelt of smoke. My Spanish is limited but I understood that smoking was allowed throughout the house and three rooms that I looked into had ashtrays in evidence. We were then offered another room which did not have any smoke odour. A lot of noise from the plumbing system in an adjoining room.
Pros: The hotel was quaint right in the old part and 2mins from the centre
Cons: All good
Pros: Gracious hostess; very well situated; clean and comfortable; a nice place in all respects
With a stay at Parador De Guadalupe Caceres in Guadalupe, you'll be 0.1 mi (0.1 km) from Monastery of Santa Maria de Guadalupe and 9.3 mi (15 km) from Las Villuercas Lookout. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Wonderful relaxing property. I always love staying in Paradores. So much atmosphere. the balcony looking out to the monastery was lovely and I enjoyed sitting in the late afternoon spring sun.
Cons: High price parking of Euro 14. Hot breakfast dishes were already cold at 8.45 am. The buffet needs a better heated area to keep these dishes hot, as it was a disappointment eating cold sausages, bacon and eggs etc. Also the bread and cake were dry and stale as if it was left over from the day before and put out again for the next day.
Pros: The location is excellent and the property is historical.
Cons: The heater in room 102 was too hot and we couldn’t get anyone to come fix it; we had to wait until 11:30pm for the central heating system to be shut off. Meanwhile we had to leave the balcony door open to cool off the room but there is a chimney close by so we had to endure the smoke. The beds were not comfortable at al.
Pros: Gracious, historic, wonderful parador with superb public spaces and courtyards and garden. views across the valley and right next to the monastery. Delicious meals. Lovely rooms.
Pros: The room and atmosphere. Also WiFi working throughout the hotel.
Pros: The location is fantastic - right next door to the Monastery where we went to see the famous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe.... and there is parking! The staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. I especially appreciated the 'tolerance -friendly' breakfast, which includes gluten-free bread and lactose-free milk. The wild boar stew at dinner was superb, as was the Ribero del Duero wine. The log fire in the lounge was very snug. All-in-all, our group of 9 had a very relaxing stay.
Cons: The bathroom smelt of drains. (Room 11)
Pros: Everything 10/10
Pros: We liked the Arabic feel to the building & decor. Comfortable room & good facilities- particularly nice breakfast in a lovely room.
Cons: No coffee/ tea making facilities in the bedroom.
Pros: Period property. Location
Cons: Didn’t quite meet Parador Hotels normal high standards
Pros: The location was great. The swimming pool was very nice.
Cons: The two rooms we were in did not have great air conditioning during the night.
This spectacular monastery in Guadalupe, Extremadura, offers atmospheric rooms and wonderful Gothic architecture. Combining a peaceful location with modern interiors, the air-conditioned rooms have a flat-screen satellite TV and a private bathroom. All rooms in the Hospederia del Real Monasterio have heating and free wired internet access. Some have views of the Sierra de Guadalupe Mountain Range. Most rooms have high ceilings, and some have original stone walls. The restaurant serves classic Extremaduran dishes, including ‘migas’, lamb and roast kid. The bar, located in the cloister, has a terrace with plants, and serves tapas. Gluten-free menus are available on prior request. Reception will be very happy to offer advice on local sights and walks. There is free on-site parking.
Pros: Wonderful atmosphere of being in a monasery. Excellent breakfast.
Pros: Atmospheric period hotel. Bedroom 218 superb with double four poster bed. Courtyard and garden absolutely beautiful. Breakfast good. My 4th stay at this hotel and I'll return in the future.
Cons: Very little.
Pros: Wonderful, spacious room with a comfortable bed, looking out towards the cloister. Some staff spoke limited English but were always helpful. The restaurant / breakfast area was in a charming location in one of the cloisters. Having breakfast there with birdsong in the background was magical! There are lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Be sure not to miss the second cloister which you can access from the doorway to the right of the reception desk!
Cons: The hairdryer in the bathroom is not very effective, especially if you have long hair like me. The parking is very convenient but it can get very cramped getting into or out of the parking area as it fills up. You will need a small car, front and rear parking sensors... and proverbial hair on your teeth.
Pros: Parador type lodging in ancient monastery type building with 2 level courtyard. Very large rooms. Very grand. Quiet. Free parking. Excellent location.
Cons: Directions for using wifi a bit confusing for me. Lighting in the room all bit gloomy.
Pros: Location, relaxed atmosphere, building was great
Pros: Amazing location, historical building, respectful ambience and food. Attention was perfect also.
Pros: Magical setting. Unreal. Big rooms. Great service. Beautiful courtyards and cloister.
Pros: Stayed before and liked the ambiance of the building. Good shower and comfy beds.
Cons: The music was not appropriate for the age of the building. The evening menu was not as good as our first visit but waitress was excellent.
Pros: Stunning place to stay. Felt privileged to experience such a place. Also all the wonderful plants.
Cons: Restaurant needs serious rethink. The menu is far to big... Cut it right down and improve the quality. Service also needs some work. It is a pity because the rest is really good.
Situated in Mohedas de la Jara, this hostel is 14.7 mi (23.7 km) from Ciudad de Vascos Ruins and within 32 mi (52 km) of Embalse del Cijara and Arco del Tinte. Monastery of Santa Maria de Guadalupe and Arco de Sevilla are also within 32 mi (52 km).
Pros: Our room was small but very cosy. We really enjoyed relaxing on the patio. Breakfast was very good, but rather small for a cyclist.
Cons: When checking-in we were offered two options for dinner. Because we didn't really liked either of them, we asked if there's a bar in the village to eat something small. She said yes, but unfortunately we could only eat some croquettes in the after-noon (which was fine) but we couldn't find a bar offering food on dinner-time. So we ended up eating bread and what was left in our panier-bags for dinner.
Pros: Very nice, clean and cosy
Pros: The quietness of the village. A very peaceful place.
Cons: I didn’t like the building work being undertaken on an adjoining property.

Pros: Great Lunch, Dinner. Very peaceful.
Pros: Nice location and good value. Very quiet place.
Cons: We booked online, when we arrived we read a note on the door that said we needed to call several numbers, which would trigger someone coming to open up. Not the best start. This could have been rectified if we had been greeted by someone friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately this was not the case. We were met by a women who's antipathy towards us was blindingly obvious. She was neither friendly nor pleasant. She was smoking and had a child in tow. She was very grumpy and unhelpful. Once she had opened up and managed to pour us three beers (The only thing she did that was good!...) She skulked off back to one of the other bars in the square. We drank our beer and that was that, we sat and chatted as we watched her go from bar to bar drinking, but nobody came back. Dinner was rather poor, but at least the lady who cooked it and served us was nice, in fact she saved the evening really. We paid that night and left early as too be honest, it wasn't somewhere we wanted to stay or felt welcomed. Maybe this lady owns the place and is happy to give this impression to visitors, but if you employ her, I'd be thinking of giving her a different role. Maybe one that doesn't involve dealing with the public. All very "League of Gentleman".
Pros: Everything else
Cons: There was no sangria in the bar:)

Pros: The shower was very good
Cons: There was nothing that I did not like
Pros: Location was central with the gentleman at check in helped us with parking the car. Room was comfortable and the hosts were excellent.
Cons: Aircon was a bit weak
Pros: Parking although I was informed there wasn't any!
Cons: No bedside lights
Pros: Nice little Juliet balcony and view of the street.
Pros: Very good location, close to the sights and the bus stop.
Cons: The linen was not ironed, so I was asking myself: had it been changed at all? Tile floors mean that you hear all what is happening in the room above you.
Pros: Wonderful location, just 100-200m to the 13-cent. monastery, kind personel, who let us in after check-in hours (after 23:00).
Cons: There is air condition, but positioned in front of beds so you've got cold air blowing at you or you boil at night and are eaten by black flies and mosquitos.
Pros: Great position. Excellent parking which is real bonus in Guadalupe. Inexpensive.
Cons: Definitely seen better days. Could do with a refurbished.

Pros: Very kind and helpful staff, even we did not speak spainese we both try by program and success, they serve breakfast for 6 of us one hour earlier before opening time, according to our schedule.
Cons: Locate centrally close to Our Lady of Caçares.
Offering air-conditioned rooms with TV, Hostal Cerezo 2 Meson is located in the old town for Guadalupe, just in front of the Royal Monastery. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Some rooms have balconies overlooking the Royal Monastery or the Guadalupe mountain. The private bathrooms have a shower and hairdryer. The restaurant offers traditional meals, such as roasted lamb or goat. The bar serves local wines. There is easy access to N502 road and Cabaneros National Park is 90 minutes’ drive away.
Pros: It was ok. Value for money. Right in the centre of town opposite the monastery Guadalupe is beautiful which is not apparent as you drive in. The side streets are amazing. So old and full of character. It’s like stepping back in time.
Cons: For some reason the heating came on in the middle of the night. It was chilly (May 1st) but no need for heating until it was time to get up surely?!! The radiator made dreadful gurgling noises until morning. Could not turn it off as it had a cover over it. The staff did not offer breakfast to us even though the confirmation had said breakfast was available for a small fee. No one asked if we had enjoyed our stay or wished us a good onward journey
Pros: staffs are all friendly
Cons: thin wall. bath amenities are not good. no hair dryer.
Pros: Nice room and couldn’t have asked for a better location.
Cons: Was sent to a room that hadn’t been cleaned when I first arrived but they swapped for another one straight away so wasn’t really a problem.
Pros: We did an impromptu trip to Guadalupe and this looked as our best option in the city. It is located just across the square to the main attraction, the Guadalupe monastery. The place is a bar that rents rooms just above the premises. The room was fine, with two comfy beds. It wasn't facing the main square but it was adequate. The bathroom was OK. The A/C worked great and you really need this during the summer here.
Cons: The room was very, very dark. Probably rooms facing the square are better. The breakfast could be a bit more developed -- it is essentially the same price you would get in the bar if you were not a guest of the hotel.
Pros: Great location right in square and in front of monastery and church
Pros: The location of the hostal
Cons: No window in the room
Pros: Great location, staff very very helpful, great food
With a stay at Hostal Cerezo in Guadalupe, you'll be just steps from Arco de Sevilla and Monastery of Santa Maria de Guadalupe. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and a 24-hour front desk.
Cons: We arrived on the day of a fair which meant the Main Street was closed to traffic . This would have been know when we booked instead we had great difficulty in reaching the hotel having been lucky enough to find a parking space done distance away . The staff were not helpful The beds were uncomfortable and the food offered at supper almost inedible. Overlooking the Main Street it was very noisy late into the night and early in the morning. In contrast everyone was much more helpful in the morning when the breakfast was simple but delicious It was a real advantage being do so close to the monastery we were able to be on the first guided tour of under day and so avoided a long queue.
Pros: Convenience staff and cleanliness
Cons: Hard pillow
Cons: Breakfast is served from 9 a.m., too late for me. I wanted to set out at 8 p.m. approximately but there was anybody of the staff around. At last I managed to find one person to give the key's room and pay without invoice, breakfast included.
Pros: Budget hotel but good value. Well located and quite a nice view from the tiny balcony.
Cons: A little small and the air conditioning was a bit tricky but worked well when we worked it out.
