This was the 4th time we've had a overnight stay at the Palacios accompanied by our dog and for us it ticks all the boxes. Ideal pace to stay if you want a reasonably price, friendly hotel to break your journey. Menu del dia in the restaurant is pretty good too! N/A
The in-house restaurant served an excellent menu del dia. Very poor location, only suitable for an overnight stay.
Helpful staff and central location, the rooms were clean and despite the cold weather at an ambiant temperature. It was all rather basic including the restaurant which was lacking in any atmosphere or ambiance, the bar was very local and very smoky! Not used to that in UK any more.
Hotel room was clean and good value. Although the evening meal (menu del dia) was not expensive, we were disappointed with the quality of the food in the restaurant i.e. the fish was very small and had little flesh and the lamb was nearly all bone - we could find no meat!. Breakfast facilities were very poor - we had to eat in the cafeteria which was full of work men from the building site next door and there was only one person serving the coffee and doughnuts from behind the bar i.e. no table or self service facilities.
Clean, reasonable prices Don't speak french or english at all
Breakfast in bar - too smokey for children
Excellent menu of the day for 11 euros. Very convenient for an overnight stay.
Receptionist on arrival was very pleasant and made us feel most welcome. She is a real asset to the hotel. The central location was a plus as it was only a short walk to the main town features, especially the grand church with all the storks nesting on the parapets!!
They accept dogs. They have rooms with three beds. Difficult to find as no nearby junction for Satnav to locate. A little noisy as this is mainly a truck stop and is full of Lorry drivers who spend the evening in the bar.Restaurant not open until 9pm
A very good for an overnight stop, about 195 miles from Santander, approx. 3and half hours.. mostly motorway. The evening buffet was good value at 11.95 euro and there was a large selection. Staff spoke little English but were most helpful The evening meal did not start until 9o'clock, but this is usual in Spain
Nothing - it was a Truckers stop off it was a Truckers stop off
Sorry, nothing was really good in this trucker place beside the location near the big road. Extremely bad smell from the backyard when opening the balcony door. Very untidy bar, which at the same time was the breakfast room. The staff in the bar did not know a single word in English. Even "breakfast" was unknown.
Ideally located for motorway travel stop-over. The permanent buffet meal facility was basic but clean. The food selection was huge catering for most tasts and of exceptiopnal value. Highly recommended for the hungry traveller. The room smelt strongly of stale smoke.
The Hotel was very pleasent, and the room was bright and clean, beds comforable. The only one point here was the shower, the unit on wall was to high, and there was no slide bar.
Easy to find. Fairly quiet even though it was on the main road. Good size room with comfortable twin beds. The restaurant did not start serving food until 9pm which was too late for us. The tapas snacks at the bar were not to our taste.
