nothing, the worst place I have been in my life as said above the place is the worst hotel I have been visiting
No internet connection. No fresh orange juice ate breakfast
Location in town Restauant closed Sunday night
Ambiance Breakfast adequate rather than good
we thought this room was very small for a superior room. The reception staff were good, but the waiting staff in the hotel restaurant were very miserable and although we realize we didn't speak each others language we didn't have the same problem at other hotels.
Location - beautiful view of nearby church. The town centre was nearby and quite attractive. The design of the hotel was attractive.
Location and the historic value of the site unable to provide us with hotel brochure in any language. The hot English breakfast offering was cold.
It is very central and the room was comfortable and the general atmosphere atractive and unusual.
Cleanliness, price and location. No.
Very nice building, friendly staff and good breakfast No airco and fan was not functioning very well
An execllent hotel for the price friendly, clean and extremelly convenient when travelling
modern clean accomadation good location
modern, clean hotel small room with small bed
the comfort and modernity of the hotel the check in was very slow on our arrival but otherwise the staff were helpful and pleasant. The windows/ glass made strange noises.
A modern well-functioning hotel. No.
Location & Modern Room Extra charge to use spa facilities €18
Nice hotel and nice and clean room. Spa was also fine except you could on be there for 1 hour in the afternoon. Nobody except one spoke english, so ordering food in the restaurant was not easy. We ended up with something very different that we thought we ordered.
Could walk to the village. Nice village.Good stop over from South Spain to South France
Good spa (does not allow children under 4) Yes, the food at the restaurant was horrible... though the staff really tried hard to be nice and they were very polite.
Extremely nice hotel with excellent facilities, including free outdoor heated pool very nice indoor fitness room and pool (45 minutes free) with different effects. Breakfast was really nice with a large selection of both healthy and not so healthy stuff. Very nice on-site restaurant was also a pleasant surprise. The location is a bit so-so.
1. The lake was great for swimming. Nice temperature and great surroundings! Beautiful! 2. The hotel was very large and with modern decoration. 3. Free use of the gym. 1.There was no airconditioning in the room and Spain during summertime is really hot! 2.Expensive breakfast. 3. Our "mountainview" was not really attractive.
The old world charm of European spa resorts and the thermal water lagoon with little fish that nibble off dead skin on your feet and legs.
facilities on offer. lack of a swimming pool. The island area around the lake needs atttention. Meals only available and expensive. No snacks available.
building - quiteness - environment Nobody speaks English or French
We felt the youngest people their at 48yrs old. Outdoor thermal pool was the only facility we used this was lovely. Very close to the village where we ate. Felt like we were staying in an old hospital building with that awful smell. Food in resturant expensive. Everything was and extra cost except the outdoor lake/pool.
Very friendly staff in the lobby and reception area which made us feel very welcome. Good parking facilities. The website states that there is an indoor swimmingpool. This not the case. There is pool at a cost of 30€ per 50 minutes. The food is very poor and for Spain very expensive. It is better to have your dinner in the village. The room were not clean. There still hairs in our bathroom
Its location, allowing easy access to the cultural highlights of Barcelona, the shops, the Ramblas etc. We did not like our room very much because it was closed in and quite airless.
An old charming building in the old town of Calatayud that has been totally renovated with a modern tasteful design. The director of the hotel is very nice and devoted to help the guests and to make their stay enjoyablel. Athough he doesn't speak English, he managed to make himself understandable.
Exceptionally helpful & friendly staff, vere nice evening meal in atmoshepheric cellar/dinning room
Decoration and confort Price of the meals
A small, family owned, modern hotel in an old, historic building. It's located in a small square close to the center of town and buildings of historic intrest. The food was delicious as was the wine and the service was great even if we were using our "Spanish for travelers" handbook. Great value for the money. Hard to find but any city location in Spain will be due to lack of readable street signs.
Very friendly and helpful receptionist. One felt really welcome to this hotel. Rooms: good design, very modern. Breakfast was a bit poor. Automatic tap in bathroom not very userfriendly.
The staff were very keen to help and make suggestions of things to see in the town. Their "hot" water only got warm. Other reviewers have mentioned this (in Spanish). The description on the site claimed our room type had a Whirlpool/Jaccuzi but this wasn't the case. It did have a luxury shower however (with only luke-warm water unfortunately). It also didn't have wooden ceilings or a hairdryer as claimed but that didn't bother us too much.
The owner was extremely welcoming and very helpful. the bathroom facilities were very modern and the room, large and comfortable. The owner suggested a wonderful road out that took us through the mountains and older villages. The location was a little tricky to find and a bit off the beaten track. There is lots of rebuilding so a fair amount of construction going on around and many derelict buildings but once we walked about the town, we found the main area very charming. More a working town then a tourist place.
The hotel was the closest to the Monasterio de Piedra(a beautiful park with waterfalls). This "hotel" was more of an institution than a hotel . Breakfast was miserly and preset on each table , dinner only had set, limited menus and the Cafeteria only served crisps /tinned snacks. Situation , in a narrow gorge was claustrophobic and there was nowhere to walk other than along the road to another Spa. The price of 98 Euros per night was extortionate for what we received,we left after 2 nights (orig. booked 4)thanks to Booking.com intervening on our behalf re a hotel imposed cancellation fee. Sleep was disturbed by huge lorries arriving /departing the mineral water bottling plant next door at all hours. Not a hotel for the independent traveller.
