Il Piccolo B&B - Fiumicino - Building

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally clean. Large comfortable bed. Clean bathroom with amenities. Snacks and drinks provided. Quiet neighborhood. Perfect location for catching an early flight. Shuttle service was great, even helped us get to and from a restaurant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Il Piccolo is located very conveniently with respect to the airport, and the owners make it even easier by generously offering pick up and drop off service. Communicating with them was easy and always very fast. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. It is only a short walk into Fiumicino where there are many restaurants. The breakfast was delicious.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Clean and comfortable. Outstanding communication and service. Top value
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a very good place to stay during the time we need to wait to another flight at Roma’s Airport! The staff is lovely and the property’s room all new, clean and comfortable! They have transfer service very cheap and it takes maximum 10 minutes from the airport to the property.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is a new, modern addition to the family's home, with a separate entrance and shared kitchen (with other guests). The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom a good size. Be smart and book their $5 transfers to and from the airport; they were very accommodating with pickup times. There are two individual rooms upstairs with the shared kitchen, making it perfect for a family or friends traveling together or people who are driving themselves through Italy.
Cons: As I was alone (70-y-o woman), I did not want to venture out into the countryside after dark to find a restaurant, so I would have appreciated the option of having a sandwich and fruit in the evening rather than the bagged sandwich breakfast-to-go.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was perfect stay for a night before going to the airport owners let us in early and drove us for a nominal fee to the airport again really early for a nominal fee. Accommodation lovely and the proprietors superb in every way.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent! Lovely room and lovely, helpful hosts.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was better than expected. The room was clean and included all the required facilities including heaters, air conditioner and an ensuite bathroom. Moreover the hosts were pleasant, hospitable and helpful.
Cons: If we had to force an issue it would be that the bed was a little uncomfortable.

Cons: Check-in time is a bit late, but nothing out of the ordinary for guesthouses.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: November 7-8, 2019 Smaller than the commercial hotels, the Rome Airport Inn is a lovely, modern, sophisticated guest house. Everything about it is tastefully composed, from decor to the personal attention and amenities. The courtyard/garden area is comfortable, lovely and inviting. We enjoyed our overnight stay, complete with a beautifully presented Italian breakfast. The host and hostess are very professional and charming. The inexpensive shuttle service from the airport was provided by the inn, driven by the inn keeper himself! We highly recommend this inn.
Cons: No complaints at all.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Very clean and new. Allesandra and Marco are nice people and seemed to do everything they could to help us. A lot of nice places to eat close by along the river front.
Cons: Room was a little small. Bathroom was good size. Some miscommunication on when we could be picked up. They only pickup at airport after 4 pm and we couldn't check in until that time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owners are extremely accommodating. We have stayed at the Rome Airport Inn twice and were very pleased both times. Highly suggest this hotel.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a family operated place . The owners are very , very Nice and explain the area & include there own shuttle service To the airport . It's hard to find good customer service in Rome This family that runs this place knows what they are doing . I will stay Here again if I need a place close to the airport .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed at this hotel the night before our flight. It was clean and bed was super comfortable. Lucca was so accommodating and kind. We were able to be shuttled to the airport by Lucca for our early morning flight.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sleep and Fly is an excellent place to rest before a flight. Lucca has built a beautiful little oasis near FCO Airport. It is only 5 minutes away from the airport. The place is very secure, very clean and we highly recommend. Great shower with rainhat! Lucca has a small breakfast room with several choices for European breakfast. We had time only for coffee and brioche before he drove us to airport for early morning flight.. He also provides pick up shuttle service from airport. He is a very pleasant young man--very customer service oriented. Can't say enough good things about this find, which was so reasonably priced and well situated. There are restaurants and bars nearby. We went to Mercure Hotel, Leonardo Bar for happy hour which provided free happy hour snacks of pizza bites, onion rings, olives and had dinner there as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Owner, Luka was very accommodating and made our stay comfortable and easy. Unbelievably close to the airport and his shuttle service is excellent. Cannot go wrong staying here, especially on a one night in and out.
Cons: Nothing, all great.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A great little hotel with no frills but great personal service from the father and son owners. This hotel has a great location close to the Rome Fiumicino airport which makes it an ideal budget hotel prior to departure from Italy. They are steadily improving and updating this hotel and the personal service is second to none!
Cons: Although the location close to the airport is a plus, the noise from the planes is quite loud at times but not a deal breaker.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, location was perfect related to the airport, Luca was the perfect host

Pros: Fly In The World B&B is close proximity to the airport, in a very nice small, safe neighborhood if you want to experience local non touristy area. Very clean and comfortable beds, free WiFi and Netflix. The owner, Luca and his wife provide a continental breakfast, and courtesy shuttle from/to the airport. Luca even went the extra mile to provide us additional courtesy shuttle to airport to take local transportation into the city of Rome during our stay. Great place at a great price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We picked this place because of its location near the airport, plus they don't charge for the airport shuttle. This was especially important for us because we were arriving by train in the evening and leaving for the USA the next morning. The place was quiet and safe in a residential area. The room was larger than normal and so was the bathroom. It was clean, safe and had updated fixtures. Would recommend staying there again,
Cons: Not close to restaurants or other retail. Had to walk 20 min to get dinner, but the food was excellent, making it all OK.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean, efficient, easy
Cons: A little way to food, but not too far
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice inside, rooms look like they were recently refurbished with very high quality furniture and fixtures. Shower was very large, bed was super firm but comfortable enough. Check in was easy, staff is awesome. Breakfast was very well stocked. Parking was inside a gated area so we were happy that our vehicle was protected, although the area seems very safe.
Cons: Walls are a little thin, was awoken to an alarm in the next room and a noisy neighbor getting his luggage out of the room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and well kept Large bathroom Personal service by host that incl compliment 2-way transfer to/fro airport and nice breakfast
Cons: Limited availability of restaurants near to the property for dinner
7.9 Good
Pros: Really clean and comfortable.
Cons: For a solo traveller it was expensive for the area

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, clean, quiet and well appointed room. We only stayed the one night as we were connecting to a flight.
Cons: The only negative point was with the shower water controls which were a little confusing to use and we could only manage to adjust the temperature just warm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were worried for parking but it was plentiful on the street. The beds were very comfortable, rooms and premises were very clean, and all toiletries were excellent. Being so close to the airport was no problem, it was very quiet. They were very friendly and helpful, gave us local information and a great recommendation to the wonderful restaurant across the street. We only had a quick stay due to early flight but would recommend to all
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, charming accommodations, comfortable bed. Loved the outdoor balcony! Wonderful location right on the waterfront quay, with numerous places to eat nearby.
Cons: Could have used some instructions on the use of the high-tech shower. Also, Shower water was less than hot.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, lots of nearby options for restaurants, not far from the grocery store. This town is a great option for a night before a flight out of Rome. All the locals go to the pier at sunset, fish, and watch the fishermen come in with their catch. It was relaxing and a different pace, very friendly people.
Cons: I had asked if I could drop off our suitcases early and let the property know what time our flight would arrive ahead of time. I was told it was no problem and then we were left on the street with our bags for a couple hours waiting for check in time. After a bottle of wine at a nearby restaurant, I got over it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We knew it would be very clean, etc = but we did not expect how lovely - elegant the place was - certainly from the outside we had doubts but when we opened the door - Lovely! So we booked again for next week when we fly out. It is now our new ‘go to’ place to stay prior to fly out of Rome.
Cons: Parking - on the street. That’s okay as long as you know you have to bring everything in.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ten minutes from Fiumicino airport and a few blocks from the waterfront. Everything about the place felt brand new. Great Room. Big bathroom. HUGE patio with a hot tub on it. (Room #400) Decent Wifi. Perfect spot to spend our last night in Europe and have a stress-free shuttle to the airport in the morning. Next time we're going to book at least two nights, though. The place is too charming not to hang out a little longer.
Cons: This is a little nit-picky, but the breakfast was a little weak. A few more cold meat, cheese, and fruit options would make a big difference. Don't get me wrong, though, I'd return to this hotel in a heartbeat. Fabulous place.

Cons: Overpriced airport pickup and delivery €15 each way for 3km trip.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and with all necessary stuffs. Good breakfast too
Cons: Just location that obliged you to have a car or ask for navetta lift
4.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast is continental +, the rooms are big and clean, the staff is friendly. The location is bad.
Cons: 1. The location of the small hotel is awful. If you want to use public transport you should walk about 600 m and wait a long time for the bus. The shuttle of the hotel to the APT cost 5E p/p. Back to the hotel even worse. It is impossible to get a taxi because the drivers don't want to lose the line for the long distances. And if you get any taxi they ask 45 E for a drive of 5-6km. (The regular price from APT to central Rome is 50E). The director of the hotel Mr Ganfranco didn't explain exactly the name of the bus stop, the name of the bus company and the timetable of the busses. 2. The director of the hotel refused to keep our luggage after 10:30 in the morning out of the rooms and we were forced to live our 7 suitcases in the deposit department for 10E each place. This consumption of 70 E is more than the cost of one night for one room in this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Alberto was very helpful even though I made an error in the airport pickup location. Good to have him on WhatsApp in advance. He also called a prompt and reliable taxi for our early morning departure. This house is VERY quiet.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Convenient overnight stay for low cost plane change over.
Cons: GPS didn't show correct location.

Cons: not much we were exhausted from our trip and they made us feel welcome
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food, the relaxation the coolness of the room from the heat.....
Cons: Wish there were places to eat near by, but the food there was excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location--15 minutes to FCO, 1 block to the beach. This is a very small (8 rooms) boutique-type hotel. It's a great find, and we had an excellent stay. Evening pizza and wine option was excellent. Value for price paid was excellent.
Cons: Airplane noise could be a hindrance if outside, but not with the room doors closed. We slept very well.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the shower! It was the best one as far as size and water pressure we had in 2 months. Staff was quite good and friendly. The food at the restaurant was good, especially the lasagna. If you stay here in the off season, you will have to eat at the restaurant if you do not have a car. This is a residential neighborhood and there are no restaurants within walking distance. If you take a taxi from FCO, you need to look for the LOCAL taxi stand, not the standard taxi stand to get into Rome.
Cons: The A/C is not very powerful to cool off the room. We were here in November, making the A/C less of a problem. We opened the door for a few hours before bed and that cooled things off well enough to sleep. I'm not sure this would work in the summer if the temperature was high.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an interesting little hotel with a very comfortable feel. Very inviting common areas, nice beach a short walk away, the coffee and pastry place across the street, on site pizza for e10, and the breakfast. Not your ordinary airport hotel!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was clean, spacious and comfortable.
Cons: The location did not work for us. The hotel was not that close to the airport and there were minimal food services at the hotel and no restaurants nearby. Since we did not have a car I felt we were stranded there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Only 15 minutes from airport. We took advantage of the pick-up and drop off service between the airport and hotel for a small fee. Despite many planes flying overhead, the rooms were very quiet thanks to double doors and cement walls and ceilings. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. 2 minute walk to Malibu Beach. Nice sand for beach walks. Water was clean and warm. Nice rooftop terraces for an aperativo. Would highly recommend this to others.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I booked this hotel for my parents and the staff did an excellent job making sure they where ok. Always responding to my numerous emails right away. Highly Recomended!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was an incredible host, found me a fantastic seafood restaurant after my 2 months in India. He is the best. Also, the breakfast the next morning was fantastic, eggs, toast, juice, meats, cheeses, and all the great coffee one could want.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was excellent, friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was such a lovely little surprise hotel tucked away by the beach but really close to the airport The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were all very nice and the place very clean. Nice breakfast and they even drove us to the closest little town so we could go for a wander and have lunch. Highly recommend for a stop over !
Cons: Nothing other than the planes flew overhead But can’t be avoided !

Pros: We just needed a bed to be close to the airport for a morning flight. It was a clean basic hotel and had parking which was necessary. Check in and out very easy. Breakfast was ok. Basic but enough to choose from. I did notice this place was really close to a huge shopping centre. We arrived late and left early so weren’t able to make use of it but I regret not knowing sooner as some good stores there!!!
Cons: For a quick stay this is a good choice.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: There were a few barking dogs in the neighbourhood which might affect sleeping for some people.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Unusual looking place (country house style?) but in a good way, clean rooms comfy beds good value for money. Hotel has dedicated taxi driver which had his first trip to 4.00am in the morning which gave us peace of mind as we had a 4.45am trip to the airport.
Cons: The only way to get to the hotel is by taxi which is 20 euro, so bear in mind this will add 40 euro onto your stay, but even then we found this to be cheaper compared to staying at a hotel on the actual airport.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We were thankful for a restaurant a few steps from the hotel. Oddly, it had an American West cowboy and Indian theme. The food was adequate.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is really good, lots of care on the details, staff was very nice and the room was quite big! Nearby there is also a very good restaurant and the hotel is 5 min from the airport.
Cons: The only kind of negative point is related to the fact that we cannot eat inside the room, and I did not see this information during the booking.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice facility a few minutes from the airport. Check in staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had good amenities. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel which is convenient for late night arrivals.
Cons: Only complaint- the rate I paid said it included breakfast, but because I had to be at the airport before 7 am there was no breakfast or coffee available yet.

Pros: Everything was great. Really good breakfast, very fast Wifi, walking distance many Italian restaurants and bars, clean and cosy rooms. Free parking on sight. Excellent sea view on 3rd and 4th floors.
Cons: We planned to have a drink with sunset at garden terrace. But at the end it was just an empty roof. Maybe because it was already off season, as we stayed beginning of November.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well located and very quiet. Lovely staff, especially Azzura who was perfect host. Breakfast is good.
Cons: Some challenges with the air conditioning system but nothing major
10.0 Excellent

4.6 Okay
Cons: Room A/C was not efficient, spa area is always crowded, mostly with day-use visitors of non-hotel guests...
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a little oasis outside of the city. Beautiful grounds. The food was excellent and the spa services were as well. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: . My only recommendation would be that they need more comfortable chairs by the pools. They were not easy to relax in. And--they definitely need towels by the pool. The reception desk didn't tell me I needed to bring a towel with me so I walked all the way there only to have to walk back to get a towel. And, it would be great if the hot tubs were HOT. Warm is nice--HOT is better!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely Awesome.stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon before our flight back home. The spa facilities were unbelievable, staff super friendly & helpful, our suite was perfect and the food was some of the best we've ever tasted.Go here! A++++++
Cons: We didn't like that we had to leave.....Minor issue with one of the shower heads in our suite (there were 4 shower heads) but compared with how incredibly awesome this place was, the shower head was a non-issue
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spectacular property...unique spa built upon ancient Roman baths. Many indoor and outdoor spaces to lounge, soak and walk. Needs to be experienced. Given toweling robes to wear everywhere as did the many guests. Room was a bit dark but immaculate and very comfortable. Coffee maker, water in the roomLovely bedding, towels, robes, toiletries etc. Wonderfully elegant breakfast and dinner. Both indoor and outdoor tables. Excellent reception with waters, teas, cookies etc. Staff is excellent...friendly and helpful. Only one night stay between Palermo and flying home to NY the next day. Too short a stay
Cons: The spa is also a day spa so a bit over run by folks other than guests. Some of the spa facilities were a bit overcrowded by this. It would be nice if waiter service came through the outdoor area for drinks etc.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The various Roman baths and the grotto area had so many choices. We had fun just popping into as many as we could for the experience. The grounds are beautiful starting with the drive up to property to the candlelight lanterns placed all around. The lunch buffet was very tasty with great wines. The servers during lunch were extremely prompt in removing a plate when you went back to the buffet for more. The aperitif hour at 6:30 was very romantic with the candles and various lounge areas to enjoy your drinks and various meats, cheeses, fruits and breads.
Cons: It was a little crazy when they opened the tables for food and drinks up for everyone for the aperitif hour. as most of the guests rushed the tables for food and drinks. You just had to jump right in to get something. Perhaps it's was because it was much younger crowd - 20's - that were mostly there. The restaurant for dinner was a little pricey but very good. It would have been nice to have had an English version instead of having the waiter explain a lot of the dishes. A shower curtain would have been good too.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: All 5* star facilities available, very extensive spa (truly recommended, please observe that there are more visitors from Rome during weekend). Located near FCO airport but you do not feel it (countryside feel). Rooms with all 5* amenities.
Cons: This comment is based on the assumption that this is 5* star property. The personnel is not very much attentive to the guest needs and indifferent. For example it was noted in the booking that twin beds needed. Nothing prepared upon check-in. The reception promised to split the bed later after the telephone call but it was never done. Guests should not chase the personnel to get the coffee during breakfast in 5 star hotel. Etc... All these service moments related to the staff training do downgrade the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location and rooms were comfortable- breakfast was good
Cons: In process of being renovated/ walking areas were muddy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was only looking for a place close to the airport to sleep for the night. What a nice surprise when I arrived. This is a beautiful place that I will come back to with my wife and spend a few days.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: breakfast excellent and very close to our room
Cons: the people who come into the property for the day seem to monopolize the facilities and make it more difficult for the people actually staying there to enjoy their stay

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We needed to stay near the airport for a morning flight. The spa is wonderful and not to be missed. Front desk personnel were very helpful. Lovely grounds and decor. Comfortable beds.

9.7 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here our last night in Italy, as it was close to the airport and we had an early flight. Half a block walk to the beach and several outstanding Italian seafood restaurants. Room was comfortable and clean. Shared bathroom, but it was very clean and neat as well, and there was no one else staying at the B&B so we had it to ourselves. Good continental breakfast in the AM.
Cons: Just a bit tricky to find.
2.9 Mediocre
Cons: It smelt mouldy and damp And the staff were unaccommodating Even talking very loudly outside my room waking me up at 11.30 knowing I had to leave to get an early flight The breakfast offering was beyond poor I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here even for an overnight airport stay. And the charge for the lift to the airport was excessive
9.2 Excellent

Pros: The spacious rooms close to great places to eat and an excellent beach. We stayed there because of proximity to the airport. Had to take an early morning flight. The hosts gave us the key for the breakfast area and booked us the cab for the 10 minute ride to the airport.

Pros: Relatively close to the airport, but not particularly easy to get to from FCO with other than an overpriced cab ride.

Cons: Dark, small rooms with very little natural light. Hot water runs out really quickly. The room was full of mosquitoes. The area is pretty far away from anything. Would be helpful to have more information about the area and things to do.
