Pros: We have booked just two nights as we were passing through this area on the way home and it turned out to be just great. Room was clean, spacious and really nice decorated - as well as the whole place. The host were wonderful. We travel a lot and we have already seen many places and this one might be actually the best we have ever been to
Pros: La Buca is beautiful. Andra and Mauro are so welcoming. They make a lot of produce themselves including balsamic vinegar so the food was incredible. Try to arrange to eat there in the evening. Even in 35 degree heat the house stayed quite cool with hilltop breezes and ceiling fans. The pool is fabulous and has the most beautiful view. Our 14 and 11 year old boys said it was the best place they have stayed. Oliver the dog was lovely too.
Cons: Did not like leaving!
Pros: Beautiful quiet home which felt like a luxury hotel. Spectacular views
Cons: As it's a little out the way it would be nice to be able to have coffee/tea available in the afternoon. Otherwise everything was perfect
Pros: The location was mind-blowing, the hospitality was unbeatable, the breakfast was amazing, the views were phenomenal, the room was perfect. We didn't speak any Italian but understood every conversation (no idea how but it was no issue what so ever). If you are reading this you should book now!
Cons: Having to leave.
Pros: A wonderful place to stay! Old beautifully renovated farm, lovely room, fantastic breakfast. Would love to come back there one day.
Pros: If you want the uniform blandness of a hotel, don't go here! if you want countryside, beautiful stone buildings and a couple of the warmest-hearted people on earth, GO there! Hosts Andrà and Mauro enjoy having guests and cater to them. First floor room was spacious and charming, and the bathroom first rate. Breakfasts are social as you meet your fellow travelers. They are also plentiful and include different baked goods daily. we recommend highly staying for dinner at Eight! Andrà is an artist in the kitchen and will surpass the formulaic restaurant menus any day. With information from our hostess, we walked to the next village one afternoon (Castellacio) and also went to a nearby regional park another afternoon (Parco Regionale dei Due Sassi). A memorable six days.
Pros: Amazing place !! Two fabulous hosts Andra and Mauro We loved every second of the beautiful Italian hospitality and delicious meals make sure to ask if you can eat there!! Andra is an amazing cook and great value for money. They are there for you if you need them but also leave you to your privacy - the perfect hosts!!
Pros: Beautiful beautiful location, superb care for every detail, starting from the fantastic home-made jams for the morning breakfast to fresh fruit served around the pool as an afternoon snack, a fabulous aperitivo served in the olive garden and free access to fresh water from the fridge any time of the day and night. We passed three magic, comforting, relaxing and refreshing days in this fabulous place and will definitely be back!
Pros: The location and buildings are beautiful

Pros: - The decoration and design of things like the bathrooms
Cons: - The room felt a bit crowded and the chair inside it was not very comfortable
Pros: We really liked this hotel. Everything was in a good standard - and the service, and cleanliness and price.
Cons: We really liked this hotel. Everything was in a good standard. And the service, and cleanliness and price.
Pros: - Room was big and clean. - Staff were nice and helpful. - Breakfast had a quite nice variety.
Cons: - Location of the place is bit too far from the city center.
Pros: Location is on main street and close to central, good breakfast.
Cons: It is old hotel with maximum maintenance but it should need refurbishment to up to date and modern hotel.
Pros: The Grand Hotel Elite was a great find. Excellent value and the staff went the extra mile to make sure the stay was perfect. The location is great, as you are only a 25 minute walk from the city center and close to a lot of wonderful restaurants and stores for shopping.
Cons: The only complaint is breakfast. I'm not a fan of cold, runny scrambled eggs. Yet this was standard fare every morning. Definitely not worth the 10 Euros they charge for it.

Pros: Outstanding hotel room and excellent breakfast (probably the best ever in Italy).
Cons: The location is fine only if you travel by car.
Pros: Hotel room and staff was very friendly and helpfull! We had an issue with keycard room access and receptionist fixed our problem in few minutes :) Breakfast selection was also pretty good.
Cons: Real deal is location of hotel, there is no bus/train station nearby. You better have car if you want to book at this place. If you have your own car or rented one, its ok just like we did :)
Pros: Quiet place. Behind hotel is mall so you have big market , food, shops ... Breakfast is really good and restaurant is nice. I suggest to have more choices off warm food. Small pool and gym equipment is nice. Good value
Cons: Employees are not that helpful . We asked a lady at the reception to call us a taxi at the time (in 15 minutes) and she made a note, but when we came the other lady said that she doesn’t know anything about that she doesn’t have any paper etc ( even she had, we saw the note on table)we almost got late on our bus and she didn’t even apologize, that was rude. ( one of them is named Alessandra I don’t know the other one’s name) You better have car for this hotel, it’s far from center and stations. The nearest station is Villanova Golinelli and it’s 20 minutes walk. No one is walking around so people acted weird when they saw us walking there. Towels have weird smell, wash them better .

Pros: The breakfast was amazing with a huge variety of food. The bed was very comfortable and it had soft and hard pillows to choose from. The bathroom was also well equipped and clean. There was a bus stop just in front of the hotel that took us for a walk to the city centre.
Cons: We didn't like that the swimming pool and sauna were not included in the room price. It is understandable that massages would not be free of charge, but at this price per night, one would expect that at least the swimming pool and sauna would not accumulate an additional charge.
Pros: Super clean
Cons: The staff and food were fantastic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cons: Far from the city centre but close to airport so balanced
Pros: Nice Staff, good breakfast (although limited choice).
Cons: Sauna 15 euro per hour per person. That should be included so it was very dissapointing.
Pros: Great breakfast, room very good
Pros: The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. It was cool in the rooms though (we stayed in 2 different rooms) and I wish it was a bit warmer. Breakfast buffet was superb! I don't usually eat breakfast but the hotel's offerings got me waking up early than usual. Staff are polite as well. There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel!
Cons: I wish the rooms were warmer in the middle of winter and I wish they provided free dental kits! But you can buy the kits from the main reception. Location is not so central.
Pros: The hotel is 10-15 minutes away from the city and from the train station (bus 25). Breakfast is exceptional. You also have a restaurant at the hotel for extra meals.

Pros: Breakfast, interior of room
Cons: Place if a tourist.
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, with gluten free options, fresh orange juice....
Pros: Location was good, free parking
Cons: Given smoking room without my permission or request, had a difficult time changing it after check in. Front desk staff inexperienced and long wait was required to speak to someone. Very overpriced for what was received.
Pros: near the city and very clean.
Cons: we had a room close to the kitchen and we could hear the staff talking al night.

Many of the city’s top attractions, such as the Piazza Maggiore, San Petronio, and Torri degli Asinelli, as well as the many delicious restaurants, trendy shops, and bars are easily accessible by foot. One of the city’s main business venues, the Bologna Fair Center, is only 3km away. You can easily reach the airport, which is 9km away. NH Bologna de la Gare has 156 cozy rooms. While they feature a traditional decor, each is equipped with modern comforts such as free Wi-Fi, a TV, and a mini-bar. For stunning views of Bologna, check in to one of our top floor suites. We serve a delicious daily breakfast that features a varied spread of options, including classic continental staples and local favorites such as Italian mortadella. The Amarcord Restaurant is a great place for lunch or dinner. The menu features both international dishes and local specialties, with a focus on delicacies from the Emilia Romagna region. There is a lobby bar, where you can taste local grappa or sip on your favorite cocktail. The hotel also has 7 meeting rooms for up 220 people.
Pros: The location was perfect. Very clean, beautiful room and friendly, helpful staff. Couldn’t be better
Cons: Liked everything
Pros: Nice hotel chain, great location near station. Staff friendly and polite, lots of breakfast options, choose from hot breakfast, cold meats, Italian pastries, cake, fresh fruit, natural yogurt, different juices and 8 varieties of croissant! Rooms are clean, spacious, good mattress, nice shower, only downside toiletries got taken away after 1 day use.
Pros: We chose this as wanted to be close to the station, which it is - though not visible from it - in the next square over. No problems with external noise. Good breakfast choice including range of juices and mini cakes. Level walk to main tourist areas, along some of the characteristic arcades, and there are buses and a bike hire shop nearby if needed.
Cons: We stayed 2 separate nights on this trip, on identical terms (superior room). Not sure if we got an upgrade on first visit or a downgrade on second but first room was very spacious, second normal - no explanation offered, and we were too tired to ask. Second night was a Sunday, and neither hotel nor the restaurant over the street were open - a surprisingly long walk to find anything else. Internal noise proofing could be better - heard rather too much of another couple's late night activity. Not hotel's problem, but a warning for anyone going from here to catch a train: Bologna Centrale is a big station, and you have to wait for light controlled road crossings to get there - so allow plenty of time. (Also, ignore the touts at the station offering to advise you - the only hassling we faced here.)
Pros: A very nice hotel near the train station. A bit of a walk to get to the city center, but very clean, comfortable and practical if you are taking an early train. Recommend it.
Pros: Very well located, comfortable and clean.
Cons: Nothing to say
Pros: Proximity to the train station
Cons: The hotel is extremely dated, and we were placed in a smoking room, which we didn't even realize still existed. The room smelled disgusting, and we had to keep the window open to circulate the air...and also to cool us down because the heat setting in the room was unbearable and not adjustable.
Pros: location is convenient, staff very helpful, breakfast was very good
Cons: above the lobby, hallways and rooms are in need of updates - dingy and old carpets and light fixtures.
Pros: It was so close to the centre and the train station. Perfect location for visiting Bologna.
Cons: The lifts were pretty small for a big hotel.
Pros: I needed something close to the Bologna Train station and the location is perfect. Also the rate I found was quite good.
Pros: Everything was perfect. One of the best experiences in hotels i ever had.
Pros: I like its location and the comfort.
Cons: Small elevator.
An peaceful oasis in a large private park at the entrance to the old town, opposite the Central Station and 3 km from Bologna Fiere, the Mercure Bologna Centro combines the needs of business travelers and those who want to discover the city. 244 rooms with free WiFi, a meeting area with 5 modular rooms, a lounge bar overlooking the large indoor park. Paid parking in the hotel's garage upon reservation.
Pros: located across the street from the bologna centrale train station. was easy to navigate the city from there.
Cons: Staff not very friendly. Room was very dark/ dimmly lit/poor lighting. Beds very uncomfortable.
Pros: Handy location if you need to fly or get the train early in the morning
Pros: Nothing to write home about but it’s fine, cheap and right opposite train station.
Cons: Rooms are dated.
Cons: Sound carries from room to room - noisy guests can ruin your sleep.
Cons: When I make check out they take 12 Euro as city tax , why this tax not showing in the room price
Pros: Right across from Bologna Central train station, been there before so I knew it has.a beautiful big garden in back with tables for a glass of wine. Staff were very helpful and lovely
Cons: Air fan in room in desperate need of a dusting/cleaning. Room walls in need of painting. Otherwise, a great place to stay in Bologna. And to be honest, none of the above mattered to me but might to others.
Pros: Great breakfast
Pros: location and clean room
Cons: only one socket in the room
Pros: The rooms overlooking the lovely interior garden are lovely to look at, stroll and just to sit and relax in! The proximity to the train station - just across the street is easy, as is is catching the Euro bus which leaves from the train station (centrale) as do all the busses into the lovely center of the city.
Cons: Wish they had a bit more in the way of food at the bar, no restaurant. When you tired from jet lag or early mornings it would be easier and more pleasant to eat a fresh salad for example and sit in the garden with a glass of prosecco - which they do have!
Pros: The staff was helpful in quickly arranging a room change on the first night and to modify the room specification for the second night. The location is very good.
Cons: The building is very old and it needs important works. The first room we were assigned was not properly cleaned and we asked for a change. The second room was decent but very old. However, the bathroom was not properly cleaned. On the second night we stayed in a very old room with dirty carpet, dirty bathroom and the wallpapers were dirty and stains were coming from the ceiling. There were mosquitos in the room - it was february-. Not at all at 4**** level (neither 2**).
Pros: Location was good
Cons: The rooms are very dated. Lack of plug sockets in the room.

Pros: Very clean, staff very accommadating, happy and helpful. Breakfast good variety,
Cons: Did not find any problems.
Pros: Room, breakfast and services
Cons: The air conditioning was a little faulty
Pros: Location wise is on the periphery of Bologna but next to a huge shopping mall and a fair centre. There is definitely life. The hotel is nice and the staff are good. Parking is sufficient.
Cons: Breakfast and room (at least mine) are not amazing. My room was on ground floor but I was only there for two nights.
Cons: I ask to change bad linen. But no body do this for 7 hours! Everything's else cost it money's.
Cons: Check out time is 10 am. It was difficult to convince the staff to give us an extra half an hour more.
Pros: Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Daily breakfast was good.
Cons: Menu in hotel restaurant limited. Wifi in our bedroom did not work. Have to go to hotel lobby to get signal. Schedule of hotel shuttle to Bologna Centro should include a trip back to hotel around 5 pm.
Pros: breakfast there was a good selection.
Cons: breakfast- bacon was burnt. scrambled eggs were horrendous. cheese just one type.

Pros: Easy access from the city / fairgrounds / FICO / highway; Plenty of parking; Fresh fruits at breakfast
Cons: No soundproofing between rooms - could hear people snoring in the next room loud and clear, all night long; Facilities a bit outdated; Slightly unpleasant smell in the bathroom, coming from the drain pipes; Slower than usual check-in (document registration) process.
Pros: Overall, a comfortable room, friendly staff and a great location for the Fiera.
Cons: The air-conditioning did not work very well, so the room became very hot at night.
Pros: Big and clean room. Breakfast was very good with good choice of products. Stag wad very attentive and available. Good parking.
Cons: It is a cold structure. It is a big hotel with all necessary things but it is missing the extra attentions to be perfect to me. The restaurant is a good option but food wasn't that good and service, even if staff was polite, not enough for a 4 star hotel...
Cons: It's strong 3 stars hotel, but far far away from 4 stars.
Pros: Clean comfortable
Cons: Very hot rooms no tea coffee facilities in the room

Cons: The guy that checked us in was extremely rude he told us the restaurant was closed and sent us to eat to another restaurant when the restaurant was actually open so we weren’t able to eat because by the time we saw it was open it was to full to be able to get a table. The staff also laughed at us while we walked in and made us feel very uncomfortable
Pros: Staff extremely friendly and very helpful. Amanda went out of her way to help us. Good hotel for short overnight near the airport
Cons: The airport shuttle driver thought he was an F1 driver!
Pros: close to the airport
Pros: Close to the airport, quiet and comfortable. Nice breakfast. Great price.
Cons: Room a bit small for a family of 4, but we could live with it for one night. (Triple room).
Pros: We were very impressed with the standard of the hotel and the breakfast in the morning. And Amanda at the front desk was charming when we arrived. Please thank her for looking after us so well.
Pros: Very helpful staff. Good location. Great dinning room with nice menu selection.
Cons: Hotel was overrun at dinner due to 2 commercial airline flights being canceled. Was not hotels fault, but a real inconvenience for dinner. They do not exchange money.
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: The room was small and made even smaller by having both a double bed and a single squeezed in - the extra bed was unnecessarily and unwanted. The fridge was not very cold either
With a stay at Hotel Il Guercino, you'll be centrally located in Bologna, a 4-minute drive from University of Bologna and 9 minutes from BolognaFiere. Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and express check-in. Planning an event in Bologna? Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Location very good. 8 minute walk from main station. Was given a suite when we arrived which could easily fitted 4 people so more than enough room for 2 of us. Room spotless and bathroom with jacuzzi bath and very roomy shower.
Pros: Location Attitude of staff. Great value for first class hotel. Breakfast exceptional.
Pros: The hotel is just north of the station so it is in a very quiet neighborhood but then easy walking distance to the center. The breakfast and air-conditioning were both amazing. The staff was extremely helpful and the taxi to the airport (which they reserved and arrived very quickly) was only 18 euro.
Pros: Decor Close to station Affordable
Pros: This was a great stay for me. I had some business at the Bologna Fair (which is a 10-15 minute walk), but did not want to stay far from the real city (also a 10-15 minute walk). As a bonus you are right by the station which makes it super practical for arrival and departure. But of course if you want to spend time in the city proper, this is a bit outside (not by much). When you walk around, you do not think there would be such a nice hotel hidden there, so it is a nice surprise. The breakfast is actually (by Italian standards) very nice. Lots of choice, and the people are very friendly. You have to ask for things, i.e. there is normally an American coffee and several tea choices, but if you ask they will bring you a cappuccino (or something else). I think the same is for GF options. They have things available, but not always in sight. The room/shower was actually very nice and clean. ZWi-Fi was very good for me, I needed to work at times, and had no issues with the Wi-Fi.
Cons: Typical Italian fashion, style over utility. The room/bathroom is really nice to look at=, but you will have problem putting your things around. There is a small table which is enough to work, but half of it is covered by the tea kettle and accessories. The bathroom looks nice, until you realize there is almost no place to put toiletries . All little things that could be easily managed.
Pros: Great hotel! I stay there for 3rd time! Clean, very nice staff, great location close to the Railway Station and a suberb breakfast!
Pros: Great staff. Very friendly and helpful - couldn’t fault them.
Cons: Very thin walls between rooms. Hard not to be disturbed by the couples in rooms next to you.
Pros: The hotel is in a nice area, close to the Centrale(5 minutes walk). The room was clean. I liked the breakfast, it was better than typical Italian breakfast(very good tea and honey).
Pros: the staff is friendly, for the rest it's good value for money if you're spending 65€/room, and we spent much more. the terrace of the room was beautiful.
Cons: room was small and of dubious taste, the bed was quite old with very soft mattress and the TV was really small. the rest of the hotel is very kitch (chicken photos and reproductions of old paintings).

Pros: Friendly staff. Location ok, few miles away from the airport. Good daily cleaning.
Cons: Not really a 4 stars hotel. Old furniture, thumbs down for the bathroom, the shower was broken. Double bed made of 2 single mattresses, disappointing for a couple. Poor breakfast
Pros: Free shuttle from airport to hotel, good bus conection from Bologna downtown, the staff and the breakfast!
Cons: Old furniture into the room but very clean.
Pros: Free transport to airport. We asked for transport just 1 min before schudle time. It was okay for them to let us go with the taxi.
Cons: Shower in the bathroom. Just attached to the wall :/
Pros: Secluded and quite. Staff were amazingly helpful.
Cons: Location a bit far from amenities, although transport is next to hotel. Otherwise its perfect.
Pros: Staff at reception was very helpful and professional, gave me good tips about where to go and where to park making the first time in bologna more comfortable
Cons: Even if the hotel is very clean, need some updating (to make it modern)
Cons: Location suitable only for short stays in between the flights, as it is quite isolated. There are no shops and only one restaurant in the close proximity ( NOT within a walking distance). Airport shuttle operates only until 10:30 am, so if you have an afternoon flight, your only option is ordering a taxi.

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Planning an event in Bologna? This hotel has facilities measuring 2390 square feet (222 square meters), including conference space. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good location very close to airport and bus stops right outside to get into the city.
Cons: Had an early flight so checked out early asked if we could have a cold breakfast prepared and they didn’t seem to care or want to bother and charged me for two bottles of water when didn’t even have the breakfast
Pros: Staff was great, the breakfast amazing
Cons: Caffe is closed in the early evening
Cons: We arrived after midnight and heating system was off and there was quite cold in the room. Everything except this was very good.
Pros: I stayed just for one night at the hotel. Everything was fine in my point of view. The staff was friendly, the room was comfortable. I chose the hotel because it was close to the airport and I had to catch a flight early in the morning. The hotel is situated in a very residential area, so watch out for places to eat because they can get really packed, specially at night.
Cons: Bathtub is old. There is mold on the edge where it has been attached to the wall.
Pros: Friendly staff and good breakfast
Pros: good breakfast big clean room
Cons: noisy neighbor and room is not cozy
Pros: Large room. Near bus station. Friendly staff. Nice restaurant
Cons: Thin walls.
When you stay at Hotel Brianza in Calderara di Reno, you'll be near the airport, within a 15-minute drive of BolognaFiere and Ducati Museum. Featured amenities include express check-in, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
