Location, view to vineyard, free parking on site, quiet, free wi-fi and breakfast, good (budget) solution when you travel to south in this region even is not very near to the highway Restaurant for dinner started at 19:00, we need dinner earlier because of our 9 years old son, with friendly staff we found a solution in 10 min. away driving by car in near city Acqui Terme.
the friendly family feel to the hotel, the food and wine were excellent
Nice town and very charming surroundings
The rooms were adequately clean. The bottle of water was cheap: 50 cent per half-liter. Food was nice but far too expensive... In Castel Rocchero, there was an equally good restaurant but, in contrast to Alice's Belvedere, the prices were low and the cordiality of the staff was high. The bar at the entrance of the hotel was always full of drunk locals and noisy teens. The hotel is run by a family who holds the monopoly of tourism business at Alice Bel Colle - high prices, low (no?) sympathy and hospitality, mediocre quality. The "cherry at the top": tables were marked for breakfast - sight-seeing tables for italians and whoever they intend; regular tables for "the rest"... We've never seen this in any 5 star hotel... unique in its worst sense!
Beautiful view from the bedroom. Internet was free, parking was available, TV was ok but no international channels The room was cold at night. Heating seems to have been turned off at midnight. There were no restaurants in the village and the hotel menu was limited. We did not want to eat meat and that was all they had. We had to drive 20 mins to Acqui Therme to eat.
Thank you everything was very nice!!!
great location and fantastic people. good value for money. breakfast is basic but ok
The situation, the staff, the swimming pool The coffee at breakfast
Lovely country views and welcoming staff.
beatiful location excellent service and delicious home made food.
Beautiful bedroom/bathroom, warm welcome, delicious food.
Location, Hospitality, Service, Quality of food and wine ( try Kimera ! ) Rooms not so well soundproofed, stone floors all over give a little bit cold feeling in autumn/winter season
Very lovely and reposeful countryside, very charming hosts, very good food.
It is place, where indeed rest from fuss. Good service. Everything simple and positive. Comfortable rooms, tasty meal and very good wine from their vineyard. On days off for staff , it is possible to remain without supper.
the area and buildings design
stephanos & his wife made us very welcome, the room was excellent, the food they make was excellent & the country setting is very relaxing , try the wine (very good! ). we have been twice & will be going back
Very nice place and good food and vine. Clean and newly build place. Good service and attitude. Can recommend for quite and nice time in the midle of grape fields
Pretty good No
The property was very interesting and the common rooms were very breathtaking. We were the only guests that particular night, and we felt very uncomfortable. The restaurant was closed, and when we asked to go to the bar, we were taking to what I would call the library. The doorman, who was appartently the staff member also served our drinks. The girl at the desk spoke no english, which made checking in difficult. Also, very remote location.
We stayed in the "castello reale" for one week - and we were treaded like a prince and princess. The chambers have both the modern comfort and the spirit of living in a castle. Very good kitchen (local wines and dishes). The location (Oviglio) is in the middle of the triangle Torino - Milano - Genova ; and these cities are only one hour away
Very comfortable room in a pectacular building in an interesting village. From the welcome as we arrived through the dinner and one night at the hotel we encountered only friendly, helpful people. Although a group were visiting the hotel to evaluate its suitability for a wedding reception, no request we made was ignored or treated as less important or less urgent. If and when we visit this part of Italy again we will make a detour, if necessary, to stay here again
Wonderful atmosphere. Great staff. Terrific food. Huge rooms everything you could ask for. We loved it.
Size of room is good. The restaurant is nice. Our room was a bit too dark; should add more lights. Would be a challenge for guests with heavy lugguage as some rooms are not served by an elevator.
Excellent food, welcoming staff.Wine of the area.
The actual residence is absolutely amazing. The stuff is really nice and the hospitality is crazy! Its is really tidy there and the food is really really high quality. it is really close to Alba, so we were able to go to the truffle market. Also its hour and a half drive to Milano. If we had a chance we would definitely come back. No complaints whatsoever!
Liked the good service and the clean and spacious rooms Liked everything
ambiance, comfort of our room, exellent food, nice friendly service access for handicapped persons (not applicable to us)
Staff was very friendly. We liked the fire place. The bathroom was top. The not-new but modern-style furniture was not was we expected in a castle. The floor was not clean. The food in the restaurant was disappointing and didn't deliver quality for money.
Was the best part of our entire trip to Italy. Alessandro and Monica made us feel a part of their family and went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. Beautiful clean rooms with the most spectacular views of vineyards. I wish we were able to rate to 10 as they deserve the recognition and an example of a first class B&B. A HUGE shout out to the Ristorante Piazza Croca 3. A first class meal with first class view and exceptional staff. It was highly recommended and deserves its tripadvisor rating of 5. A must do.
Pleasant location in the heart of wine country, good access to nearby cities and restaurants, good pool for the kids. Good evening meal in the hotel provided by a nearby restaurant. Grape picking starts early in the morning - so if you don't mind the noise - it's great!
Relaxing, nice place, perfect location if you are intersted in wine from the district Stayed there for from Thursday to Friday and all the three nights there was a happening in the evening with very load music and noice and it did not ended before late
Friendly staff and peacefull ambience in a superb setting surrounded by vineyards. A complementary bottle of wine would've been nice given the local wine industry, but thats all i can come up with.
Very nice hotel. We were with our 2 year old and the staff gave us a room with garden, very nice! We were told that breakfast was not so good but we found it ok.We would like to come back one day.
staff were warm freindly and extremely helpful room spacious clean and comfortable breakfast could be improved
