10.0 Excellent
Cons: Noisy - woken by other houseguests around midnight - limited soundproofing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing value. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Cons: No internet in rooms. But being in bar/restaruant is more social anyways :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location. Lovely property
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds, spectacular location.
Cons: Top floors not as nice as other floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best steak and burger in Spain. It was a fabulous meal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love David
Cons: Internet only in bar
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the most amazing hotel and location. It is beautifully situated overlooking a creek, field of cattle and the mountains. The hotel is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The view was spectacular.
Cons: I was on 3rd floor and no lift. After walking for 5 hours I wasn't prepared to walk up the stairs with my pack again. On myb3rd floor the roof had glass ceiling and when it rained it was loud.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The staff were absolutely wonderful. They were friendly, courteous, attentive, helpful....This is located right at the edge of town when you first enter. It is a lovely, rustic wood & stone (new) establishment that includes a bar & restaurant. The rooms were slightly on the small side, but still were lovely with double layer shuttered windows and bathroom. You can sit on the back patio and enjoy the view while the full service bar brings you your drinks (and some nice mixed nuts/snacks with it). Dinner was to open at 7:30 but when I asked if it was 7 or 7:30, the reply was "We open at 7:30, but it can be 7 if you'd like." Breakfast was only 5€ pp and included full service continental breakfast (yogurts, meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, juice, coffee) brought to your table. Just a very lovely place.
Cons: The only cons were small: soundproofing wasn't great. Our room was on the first floor, right next to the stairs (wooden) so you could hear clearly every time someone (usually in hiking boots!) walk up or down. At night, we could hear the room next door coughing, the room upstairs walking around a bit, etc. Also, when we first arrived, you could tell the bathroom floor (large tiles) had been cleaned & mopped, but there was some hair in the corners (left by the mopping no doubt). The shower tiles had a bit of dark/grey in the white grout in the corners, but overall everything still seemed clean.

Pros: nice surroundings
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow! Casa de Diaz was an incredible casa rural and a nice break from walking the Camino. Everything about this place was fabulour. I highly recommend this hotel!
Cons: We did have a communication issue/misunderstanding about dinner and ended up bringing our own picnic meal. It was still fabulous and the hotel staff took great care of us, even paying for our wine!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are fabulous and comfortable—thick towels in bathroom! Food is very good for dinner and breakfast! Grounds are gorgeous! Best is the proprietor. He is the kindest man. He drove us to Samos and picked us up because we wanted some lunch. One of us (we are 4 traveling together) forgot her Camino Passport at Casa de Diaz. He drove it to Sarria so she would have it for the rest of the Camino. This was way above and beyond. No wonder they already have a 9.2 rating. I give them a 10!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful old casa in the Galician countryside. The owner was so helpful when we arrived dropping us into town so we could get lunch as we had though we could get food at the accommodation but they only do breakfast and dinner. Lovely pool to sit around too.
Cons: The breakfast and dinner could be improved. The menu was a bit limited. It wouldn’t take much to make it a very special place to stay as the house is truly lovely.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hostal Costa Victoria in Samos, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Cipres Chapel and Samos Monastery. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location; right across the street from the Samos monastery. A one man show that did everything for us: checked us in to our room; served us tasty caldo gallego for lunch; washed and dried our clothes; fixed dinner for us at night, then breakfast in the morning and took care of backpack transport. As we were leaving he wished us Buen Camino and gave us a big hug. The bedroom was a spacious corner room with floor to ceiling windows on both sides of the corner. Nice sitting area with chairs and table.
Cons: The windows need caulking or updated insulation. There was condensation on the inside of the windows the entire time we were there. Room needs improved heating; we were chilly all night and in the morning. The bathroom was adequate but could be larger and updated.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: In the warmer spring, summer or early Fall, I’m sure this place would br great. Great sitting area in corner room overlooking babbling stream. Comfortable bed, big bathroom with spa tub. Unfortunately, for us the 40-60 temps outside made inside very cold. The “heater” was insufficient. Only one pillow on a very comfortable bed. Slept in our clothes; could not use bath.
Cons: Too cold. Internet did not work in the room.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Room smelled of cleaning products Mould in the bathroom
6.3 Good
Pros: Location. Along river
Cons: My room was musty. Signs of mold.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great hospitality, location, room size, bathroom and shower size.
Cons: Bed was too short. I am 6'1" and could not stretch out straight... Mainly because bed had a footboard.
7.0 Good
Cons: Due to location close to river and big windows, the central heating could not really heat the room.
7.0 Good
Pros: The welcome was warm, the heating was effective on a cold, off-season night, and the location was perfect. Dinner was served quickly and was delicious: the Caldo Gallego really hit the spot.
Cons: The decor is a little dated, but it’s a very minor, inconsequential thing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has its own restaurant with really tasty food and reasonable price. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Rooms cleanliness might have been better.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: The owner was nice but seemed overwhelmed because he was running the whole show!
Cons: The owner was the restaurant server, cook, room attendant, laundry person, etc... Because of this the service was very, very poor. The room was dusty, the bathroom floor same, the beds sheets didn’t look clean and I was right! It felt like I was using the same from the previous guest. At bed time, felt little bugs crawling over me, had to sleep on top of the covers, didn’t sleep well at all! In the morning I had several insects bites on my right leg behind the knee. Had to go to the pharmacy and get meds for any infection. I believe the place is infested with bed bugs!

Pros: You have to walk right through Samos to get here. It's on the way out of the village. We arrived on Sunday lunchtime to see wheelbarrows full of wood going on to the grill and a very busy dining room. We were shown to our room, which was a good size and clean and comfortable. Pros: Loved the dinner the owners made for me. They asked me what I wanted to eat instead of showing me a menu. When I was finished they asked if I wanted to eat more meat and I’m sure they were willing to give it to me. The owners were some of my favorite people along the Camino. I highly recommend Casa Garcia
Cons: I don’t write reviews if there’s something i didn’t like
7.5 Good
Pros: Perfect location for the bus from Santiago. Staff friendly.
Cons: We were in an attic room 4 floors up and had to watch head in the bathroom with ceiling void. No air con either which made for a stuffy night.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Unfortunately nothing. I have stayed in 30 different establishments this last month since I am walking the Camino, this has been the worst. I paid less at other places and got proper accommodation and very willing hosts.
Cons: The host does not speak any English, all I got from him were answers in Spanish, completely unwilling to even try and use the odd English word here and there. They want to list their property on booking.com, they definitely want the income from the international guests but they don't want to go the extra mile for them. The ceiling above the bathtub is low so one can't stand straight and have a proper shower. The kitchen is right below the rooms and one can very clearly hear them for most part of the day washing dishes and making all sorts of other noise. It is beyond me the fact that this place is rated with an 8.4 on booking.com
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly family. Extra effort to accommodate vegetarian.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Good location. Very clean and well maintained.
6.7 Good
Pros: Stayed here while walking the Camino de Santiago. Room was large and beds comfortable.
Cons: When I became concerned about where my laundry was, a staff member mocked my Spanish, to my face. Not funny. Air conditioning/heating did not work at all. Large main light in bathroom was on motion detector that was so sensitive that it registered motion out in the beds. So bathroom sliding door had to be left shut to keep light off, however, opening it in the middle of the night to use bathroom caused full fluorescent lights to come on.

Pros: A welcoming atmosphere and a wonderful host. The facility is clean and very comfortable. The care and love that the host puts into running the Albergue are shown through the personal touches throughout the Albergue. The communal dinner was absolutely delicious and served in fine dining style. Breakfast was also served with care and love. This is my absolute favorite experience on the Camino, so far!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfectly situated for those who prefer the smaller village to the main stage end towns. I had the opportunity to see the International Space Station pass overhead from the raised terrace at the rear of the property. Awesome experience. Landlady Nuria is a very special person. I will remember Albergue Camino y Leyendes for many years to come.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It has been almost a month since I finished walking the Camino and I still remember this as my favorite stay in Spain. This place has a soothing ambiance making it feel like you are visiting the home of a friend. It is also beautifully decorated and has several areas to sit and relax. Dinner was a-ma-zing!!! What makes this place so special though is the owner. She is the most genuine and warm human being you will ever meet. If I ever have the opportunity to return to Spain I will definitely be making a reservation to stay here again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Meals were great. Nice location in a small town. Owner was very accommodating.
Cons: I think the new owner could have used some extra staff to help her with the work load.
